G.H.G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusur Sadhar (Ludhiana) was established in 1984 under the aegis of governing Council, G.H.G. Khalsa College. Gurusur Sadhar (Ludhiana), a registered body already running two premier reputed Higher Education Institutions (HIE) in rural Punjab. In the imperial Gazetteer of India 1878, Pusa was recorded as a government estate of about 1350 acres in Darbhanba. It was acquired by East India Company for running a stud farm to supply better breed of horses mainly for the army. Frequent incidence of glanders disease (swelling of glands), mostly affecting the valuable imported bloodstock made the civil veterinary department to shift the entire stock out of Pusa. A British tobacco concern Beg Sutherland & co. got the estate on lease but it also left in 1897 abandoning the government estate of Pusa.

About College:

It is well known that Swami Vivekananda (Swamiji) had long considered character to be the hallmark of an educated person. He emphasized times without number that education is not the “amount of information that is put into your brain” but the “life-building, man-making, character-making assimilation of ideas.” In 1939, the Governing Body of the Ramakrishna Mission took a small step towards actualizing this vision of education by starting an institution of higher education near Belur Math called Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira. The name ‘Vidyamandira’ is Swamiji’s own christening of the educational institution he wanted near Belur Math. A couple of decades later, during Swami Vivekananda’s birth centenary year (1963), the authorities of the Ramakrishna Mission submitted a proposal to the Government for the starting of the Vivekananda University. For various reasons, however, the university did not materialize at that time. Efforts in this direction were made off and on in subsequent years until finally, a deemed university under University Grants Commission (UGC) was established under Ramakrishna Mission’s auspices in 2005. The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, declared the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI) under the aegis of Ramakrishna Mission, as an Institution deemed-to-be university under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956. The Institute was subsequently renamed ‘Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University’ with the approval of UGC, but reverted to its initial name RKMVERI in 2017 upon a directive from the UGC.

Admission Test (Online)

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, admission test cannot be conducted in person. Therefore, an online admission test (Google quiz) will be conducted on 16 August 2020, 9 am. Candidates will get a link in their email address on the date of admission test. The quiz will have 30 multiple choice questions and duration will be 30 minutes. The quiz will be of single attempt, multiple responses cannot be done. After the time is over the quiz will automatically stop.  A mock quiz will be sent to candidates few days before the exam.

Hostel Facility

4.    In the inter-se-merit of candidates securing equal ranks, following criteria will be adopted to determine the merit:

i. The Candidate getting higher score in NATA;

ii. In case of candidates securing equal scores in NATA, then the candidate getting higher marks in Mathematics of the qualifying examination;

iii. In case of tie in (i) and (ii) above, the candidate getting higher marks in qualifying examination;

iv. In case of tie in (i), (ii) and (iii) above, the candidate older in age shall rank higher.

5.    Applicants should retain a printout of the CET application form as proof of identity of the candidate at the time of counselling for admission.

6.    All candidates are further advised to check the basic eligibility for NATA 2020 on the official website of the Council of Architecture (http://www.coa.gov.in).

Every candidate selected for admission to PGMC shall possess MBBS degree recognized by Medical Council of India and must have completed one year compulsory rotatory internship on or before 30th April of the admission year. The Candidate should have obtained permanent registration with the MCI or any of the State Medical Council. Only candidates who have obtained their MBBS degree from the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi are eligible for admissions to the State / Institutional quota seats for which forms are being invited.

Admission Criteria:

All candidates must appear in AIA-PGET 2020 conducted by AYUSH for the appropriate branch and qualify to be considered for admissions.

How to apply:

i.        Candidates should have a valid personal E-mail ID and mobile number. It should be kept active during the entire admission process. Application Sequence Number, Login ID, Password, and all other important communication will be sent on the same registered E-mail ID (please ensure that email sent to this mailbox is not redirected to your junk / spam folder).

ii.        Candidates should take utmost care to furnish the correct details while filling in the on-line application in terms of age, sex, caste, and qualification etc in order to avoid further scrutiny in subsequent stages of admission process.

iii.        The step by step process for submitting the application form for the admission process in GGSIPU for various courses on regular basis is given below:

Sign-up (Step-I): The candidate has to Sign-up by filling-up Course Applied; Candidate Name, Mobile Number and E-Mail ID. The candidate will receive User ID (Application Seq. No.) and Password to their Mobile Number/E-Mail ID.

Registration (Step-II): Re-Login and Click Go-To Application Tab. The candidate has to complete Online Registration by filling-up Eligibility Details, Personal Details, Qualification Details and Upload relevant documents (photo/signature) and Submit Application. Once application submitted, candidates will be automatically redirected to Payment Gateway (Bill Desk) for depositing Application Fee as applicable against each course.
