K. R. Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science & Arts is an innovative venture in professional film /audio-visual training and a research centre of international standards established by the Government of Kerala at Thekkumthala in Kottayam District. The rapid developments in the field of visual media with its wide scope and potential, has opened up wide opportunities in the creative world. The purview of this medium has been extending to various faces of human life day by day. But, India is yet to emerge as a leader in this area, mainly due to lack of expertise and exposure to the latest developments in the technological aspects of film-making and digital arts.

Course Name:

Post Graduate Diploma Programmes in Script Writing and Direction, Editing, Cinematography, Audiography, Animation and Visual Effects

Duration: 3 Years Full time

Eligibility:

The candidate should have passed a Degree Course from any University approved by UGC/Government of Kerala.

Those who have appeared for the final examination and awaiting results may also apply, provided, the certificate or mark-sheet of the qualifying exam shall be submitted at the time of admission. An applicant can apply for only one programme of his/her choice at a time. Only Indian citizens are eligible for admission to Professional courses unless otherwise specified. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) will also be treated at par with Indian citizens for the limited purpose of admission. However PIO/OCI candidates will not be eligible for any kind of reservation.

Age Limit: No upper age limit.

Selection of Candidates: The eligible applicants shall undergo a two stage screening. The first is a preliminary entrance examination and those who are shortlisted will be called for an orientation programme and interview. Entrance Examination will be held at the selected venues in the State viz. Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi & Kozhikode, and major cities of the country viz. Chennai, Mumbai and New Delhi (Date of test is available in the website) Admission to the course will be based on the performance in the orientation programme and interview.

Application Fee: Application fee for General candidates is Rs. 2000/- and for SC/ST candidates it is Rs. 1000/-. Application fee can be remitted online along with online application.

There is only a single application form for applying for various Post Graduate Diploma Programme & Diploma Programme-2019. If a candidate submits more than one application, his/her candidature is liable to be rejected. Application can be submitted only online through the website. Prospectus can be downloaded from the above website. Application forms and prospectus will not be available by post or from the Office of the K.R.Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science & Arts or from any other office.

The Regional Cancer Centre (RCC), Thiruvananthapuram, was established in 1981 by the Government of Kerala and Government of India. We are a comprehensive cancer centre catering to the population of the State of Kerala and the adjoining parts of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Eligibility:

·         Applicants should satisfy the following conditions:

·         Nativity: Should be an Indian Citizen

·         Academic Qualifications: B.Sc. with Physics as one of the Main subjects conducted by any of the UGC approved Universities in India. A pass in Full time M.Sc. Physics conducted by any of the UGC approved Universities in India with 60% marks in aggregate of the subjects

·         In case of Grade System, grade to percentage of marks conversion scheme obtained from University should be submitted along with the application

Eligibility:

Intake & Specialization: Two Year Four Semester Full Time Program in self-financing mode (intake of 30) with managerial and technical analytical specialization. Each student must bring their own laptops.

Eligibility Criteria: Graduate degree in B. Com/B.com (CA)/ BBA/ BCA/ B.Sc. (Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science) / B.E./B.Tech and Master Degree in the mentioned subjects with 50% marks are eligible to apply. For reservation candidates belonging to SC/ST, 5% relaxation is applicable.

Application Process

The  process of submission of Application Form has to be completed via online mode only. Candidates are required to upload the CAT Score card, Photo and Signature while filling the online application form in the prescribed format, size and dimension. Details of which is available on the website.

Step to Apply online

Step 1: As a first step, Candidates will have to first fill the Application Form available online on the official website.

Step 2: Enter the asked personal details, communication details, academic qualification

details.

Step 3: After entering all the asked details, candidates will be required to upload the scanned images of CAT Score card, photograph and signature. Candidates must note they should be uploaded keeping up with the prescribed format.

Step 4: The next step will be to pay the Application Fee using Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking.

Payment of Fees

·         All the students shall pay all the fees to the University at the time of admission. For the subsequent semesters, the fees should be paid within ten days from the beginning of each semester.

·         Examinations fees shall be payable on or before the last date prescribed in this regard. If the above dates fall on Saturdays or Sundays or any other holidays, the last date for payment of the above fees will be the preceding working day.

·         The facility of online payment will be available shortly. If a student does not pay the fee on time, late payment fine, shall be levied as follows at the time of payment:

·         Rs.5.00/- rupees per day for the first 10 days

·         Rs. 10.00/-  rupees per day thereafter upto the last day of the month in which the fees is due.

·         A student whose name has been struck off from the rolls of the University, under the above clause, may be readmitted on the recommendation of the Dean/ HOD/ Coordinator of the Dept./Centres concerned and on payment of arrears of fees in full and other dues, together with a re-admission fee of Rs.1000/- plus University Development Fund of Rs.500/-.

·         If, after having paid the fees, a candidate desires to discontinue he/ she shall be refunded all fees after deducting Rs.1000/- provided he/she discontinues.
