Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) is an Institute of National Importance. It was formerly known as Maulana Azad College of Technology (MACT), which was India's one of the first eight Regional Engineering Colleges. The institute has been named after the great scholar, educationist and the first education Minister of Govt. of India, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. A candidate seeking admission to the course of study leading to the award of a Degree of Doctor of Philosophy must possess at least one of the following qualifications:

1.    Medical qualification: MBBS/BDS with minimum 55% aggregate marks or MD/MS/MDS/DM/M.Ch in the subject concerned or Diplomate of National Board of Examination.

Candidates who have obtained any of these degrees from medical colleges which are not recognized by the Medical Council of India shall not be eligible to apply.

2.    Non-Medical – For nonmedical candidates eligibility shall be Master’s Degree (two years course) awarded by Indian Universities or equivalent in the subject as per requirement of the project. Candidates holding M.Sc. (Other than M.Sc. Nursing) M.Tech. degree & BAMS will be eligible for the Non-Medical Qualification Category

Eligibility:

Maximum age limit is 45 years as on 1st July 2019. A Bachelors degree with at least 50 percent marks and Masters degree (minimum two years prescribed duration after 10+2+3 years of formal education) in relevant discipline (relevancy has to be decided by the IIFM) with minimum 55% marks (absolute) including Five year/Four-year Integrated Master's Degree programme and with good academic records., or Professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS with minimum 55% marks (absolute) or for IIFM Graduates, who have done PGDFM and IIM graduates who have done PGDM, the minimum OGPA of 3.00 in 4.33 maximum scale, is required or For MRM Post Graduates from IIFM, with 3.00 CGPA. Financial Assistance

Each student would be given a monthly fellowship of Rs.16,000/- in first and second year; Rs.19,000/- in third and fourth year during the programme. A contingency grant of Rs.35,000/- per year would also be provided.
