About College:

IISWBM, Kolkata is one of the Premier Management Educational Institutes in Eastern India. The precious journey of the Institute commenced on April 25, 1953 when it was formed by a resolution of the Syndicate of the University of Calcutta. The auspicious moment of fifty years of its existence arrived on April 25, 2003 and remains as a landmark in the history of the Institute. During the initial years, the Institute was referred to as All India Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management and in the year 1958 the name IISWBM was incorporated. This esteemed Institute initiated the first programme of management education in India.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) affiliated to the University of Calcutta

Eligibility:

Graduates in any professional course (Engineering etc.) LLB (5 years), Honours or equivalent candidates from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/NC-OBC/PwD) in graduations. Those who will be appearing for the final examinations in 2019 may also apply

Selection Procedure

·         Students apply to IISWBM by online or offline and then institute gets the CAT score of the applied candidates from the IIM admission committee. On the basis of a cut-off-mark, the candidates are called to appear Group Discussion and Personal Interview at IISWBM, Kolkata

·         The final list of the selected candidate is prepared strictly on the basis of merit.

Application Procedure

Application Form and Brochure may be downloaded from our website www.iiswbm.edu and payment of Rs.900/- made through State Bank of India Power Jyoti Account No. 3249565710 of IISWBM. Application Form and Brochure are also available from the reception counter of IISWBM on cash payment. For education, loan institute’s assistance is available. You must courier the copy of completed Application Form, copy of Payment slip and copies of all applicable documents to IISWBM, Management House College Square West Kolkata-700 073.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) [specialization in: Human Resource Management]

Eligibility:

Honours Degree or its equivalent in any discipline/ Graduate in any professional course (Engineering, etc.), LLB (5 years) of a recognized University. Those who will be appearing in such examination within June 2011 may also apply.

Selection: Through COMMON ADMISSION TEST (CAT) of IIMs. IISWBM uses CAT for short listing the candidates. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme. To appear in CAT minimum 50% marks is required, in Bachelors.

How to Apply:

Application Form and Brochure: Available from September 06, 2010, from the Reception Counter of IISWBM on cash payment of Rs.1200/ - or against Bank Draft of Rs. 1300/- payable on any bank at Kolkata in favour of IISWBM. Application form may be downloaded from our website.

For admission to IISWBM, one has to apply to CAT and also apply separately to IISWBM for which Brochure and Application Farms are to be obtained from IISWBM.
