About College:

National Institute Of Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar), an Institute of National Importance under the NIT Act was established in 1967 as a Regional Engineering College (REC), Silchar. NIT Silchar is situated on the banks of river Barak. In the year 2002, it was upgraded to the status of an NIT from a Regional Engineering College (REC).

MBA

Eligibility:

A. The Candidate must hold a bachelor degree (Regular) with at least 55% marks or 6.0 CPI/CGPA on a 10 Point Scale in aggregate. A relaxation of 5% marks or 0.5 in CPI/CGPA may be extended to the candidates belonging to scheduled caste (SC)/ Scheduled tribe (ST)/persons with disabilities (PWD) category.

B. A candidate must have appeared in CAT/MAT/CMAT (the tests taken between september 2019 to february 2020) with a minimum cut-off of 50 percentile is eligible to apply with a valid Score Card.

C. The students who are appearing in their final semester examination may also apply. however, they must have obtained at least 55% marks or 6.0 CPI/CGPA on a 10 point scale till their last semester/year. also, they will have to submit an undertaking as per annexure-v of the application form duly ratified by their respective university/institutions. such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, on the condition that they will complete all the requirements for the qualifying degee with minimum marks or CPI/CGPA stipulated above (Point A), before the commencement of the programme and produce a provisional certificate of completion within 15th september 2020, failing which their admission will stand cancelled.

D. The Bachelor degree in distance mode recognised by DDE and IGNOU may be considered.

E. The department may specify additional requirements over and above these minimum requirements as stated above.

Admission Procedure:

The Admission to the MBA Programme 2020-22 will be based on the performance in CAT/MAT/CMAT, Group Discussion/Written ability test and personal Interview of the Candidate.

How to Apply:

Interested candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria are required to submit their application in the prescribed format only. the prescribed format of application can be downloaded from the institute's website. applicants are advised to go through the application form thoroughly and attach all the required documents, bank transaction slip, certificates etc. as indicated therein. incomplete applications, application not duly filled in or applications not accompanied by the prescribed testimonials/documents will be summarily regected. the Application fee for MBA Admission 2020-22 should be paid  online by following the steps mentioned below:

3.    Accept and Proceed

4.    State of Institute>Assam

5.    Type of Institute>Educational Institute>Go

6.    Educational Institutions Name> Select online fee collection account NIT Silchar>Submit

7.    Select payment category>Other fee Collection>Fill all details and write "MBA Application fee 2020" in Scholar No. Block

8.    Mention Application fee amount 1500/- for General/OBC and 1000/- for SC/ST/EWS in the Application fees Column and submit.

9.    After the payment, take out the print of the Transaction Slip and submit it along with the Application form.

Candidates should send their applications by Speed Post/Registered Post Super Scribing on the envelope
