About College:

Osmania University is named after its founder, Nawab Osman Ali Khan, the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad who rather through a farman or Royal Charter, brought the University into existence in 1918. It is the seventh oldest in the Country and third oldest in South India. Though the need for the University for the Hyderabad State was felt, both by the intelligentia and the people for a long time, the initiative came from a civil servant, Sir Akbar Hydari, who was then the Home Secretary to the State Government. Sir Hydari, in a memorandum to the Education Minister in Early 1917, emphasized the need to establish a University of Hyderabad with 'Urdu' as the medium of instruction "as it is the language of the widest currency in India, official language of the State, and it is a language which is understood by a vast majority of the population of the State." He believed that higher education must have its foundations deep in national consciousness.

Submission of the online application form:

The submission of application is through online mode only. A registration fee of Rs. 1000/- has to be paid through payment gateway using Credit/Debit cards or Net Banking before the submission of online application.

Course Name:

Post MSc Diploma in Radiological Physics

Duration: 1 Year

Eligibility:

·         Candidates who have passed M.Sc. in Physics / Nuclear Physics or an equivalent course with at least 60% marks

·         Candidates must have qualified at the Entrance Test conducted by the University in the Academic year for which admission is sought

·         Qualifying at the Entrance Test alone does not confer a right of admission into the course. In addition to being qualified at the Entrance Test, a candidate will be eligible for admission only if he/she pass the qualifying exam before the commencement of counselling for admission and secures the prescribed minimum marks

Selection Procedure

Admission is based on merit in the entrance test conducted by the Directorate of Admissions, O.U. Hyderabad

Entrance Test

·         Admissions into Post M.Sc. Diploma in Radiological Physics are made on the basis of entrance test conducted for that purpose

·         The entrance test paper contains multiple choice objective type questions only and the answers for the questions are to be marked on the OPTICAL MARK READER (OMR) answer sheet by DARKENING the respective ovals with Blue/Dark ballpoint pen

·         In addition to qualifying in the entrance test, the candidates must fulfil the other eligibility conditions specified for the course for which he/she seeks admission

·         The medium of instruction and examination is English

Declaration of Entrance Test Results

Results of Entrance Test will be displayed on the Notice Board of the Directorate of Admissions and the rank cards will be made available in OU, websites.
