About College:

Association of Haryana State Self Financing Dental Colleges (Regd) is a Society registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 vide Certificate of Registration No. DR/GGN/053 of Year 2009-10 dated 25.06.2009 issued by the District Registrar of Firms & Societies, Gurgaon, Haryana having following basic aims & objectives:-

To represent before appropriate authorities / courts / tribunals and of any forums of the State and Central for the common causes in relation to the administration management and smooth functioning of the self financing dental colleges in the State of Haryana.

To advise or represent to Government, Local Authorities, Bodies on the policies adopted by them in relation to governance of Dental Education, provided that such policies or measures shall have a bearing on dentistry.

To conduct common Entrance Test jointly by all the members of the Society/association in the State of Haryana for drawing a merit list of students desirous to take admission in B.D.S. / M.D.S. Courses in the self financing dental colleges in the State of Haryana.

To make available the benefits of association’s activities to the public at large without restricting the same only to the members of the association.

To undertake health awareness programmes among the villages surrounding the member institutions and spreading the Government sponsored programmes for the benefit of the rural populace.

To create a corpus fund, as determined by the Governing Body for carrying out the activities regarding health related programmes for the betterment of the general public.

To Co-operate with the Central & State Governments, State Fee and Admission Committee and various other organizations in the country and abroad with a view to further promotion of Dental Education.

To advise or represent to Government, Local Authorities, Bodies on the policies adopted by them in relation to governance of Dental Education, provided that such policies or measures have a bearing directly or indirectly on this sector.

To Organize and participate in Trade Fairs, Exhibitions, Seminaries, Meetings, Workshops and Road shows for the promotion of Dental Education in India and all parts of the world so as to maximize the export of Dental Education.

Course Description:

Master of Dental Surgery (MDS)

Eligibility:

Eligibility and Selection Procedure for Master of Dental Surgery MDS in Association of Haryana State Self Financing Dental Colleges, AHSSFDC, Delhi

A candidate for admission to the MDS course (Master of Dental Surgery) must have a recognized degree of BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) awarded by an Indian University in respect of recognized Dental College under Section 10(2) of the Dentists Act, 1948 or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Dental Council of India and should have obtained permanent registration with the State Dental Council. Candidates not possessing a recognized Dental qualification for the above purpose should secure the prior approval of his qualifications by the Dental Council of India before he admitted to the MDS Course of any University in India. Candidates who possess PG Diploma Recognised by the DCI with the duration of 2 years (proposed) in particular speciality is eligible for admission in MDS in the same speciality and the duration will be 2 years. The syllabus of two years programme will be as per the concerned university guidelines. Provided that in the case of a foreign national, the Dental Council of India may, on payment of the prescribed fee for registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the postgraduate training restricted to the dental college/institution to which he is admitted for the time being exclusively for postgraduate studies; Provided that further temporary registration to such foreign national shall be subject to the condition that such person is duly registered as dental practitioner in his own country from which he has obtained his basic dental qualification and that his degree in recognized by the corresponding dental council or concerned authority.

Admission Brochure-cum-Application Form shall be available from the office of the Association,  participating Institutions, State Admission Committee and Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, on cash payment of Rs. 1,000/-. However, Admission Brochure-cum-Application Form may also be downloaded from the official websites of the Association and participating Institutions. The Application Form shall be submitted in the offices mentioned above, on or before the stipulated date. Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

Eligibility:

Eligibility and Selection Procedure for Bachelor of Dental Surgery BDS in Association of Haryana State Self Financing Dental Colleges, AHSSFDC, Delhi

1. He / she shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December, of the year of admission to the BDS course;

2. He / she have passed qualifying examination as under: The higher secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or any other elective subjects with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for Educational Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on education;  

Note:  Where the course content is not as prescribed for 10+2 education structure of the National  Committee, the candidates will have to undergo a period of one year pre-professional training before admission to the dental colleges;

Or

The Intermediate Examination in Science of an Indian University / Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject;

Or

The pre-professional / pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination, or the pre-university or an equivalent examination.  The pre-professional / pre-medical examination shall include a practical test in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and also English as a compulsory subject;

Or

The first year of the three years degree course of a recognized university, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in three subjects provided the examination is a “University Examination” and candidate has passed 10+2 with English at a level not less than a core course;

Or

B.Sc. examination of an Indian University, provided that he / she has passed the B.Sc. examination with not less than two of the following subjects – Physics,  Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that he / she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with the following subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

Or

Any other examination which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the intermediate science examination of an Indian University / Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in each of these subjects and English.

About College:

The decade following independence in 1947 was witness to a surge of innovative ideas to build a fledgling independent nation into a model democratic state committed to growth with equity in the development of its people. The establishment of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) was the outcome of one such innovative initiative.

Led by Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, Shri. Kasturbhai Lalbhai and proactively supported by the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, Dr. Jivraj Mehta, a group of enlightened individuals set up IIMA. This group ably wove together a coalition of five actors - the governments at the centre and the state, the local industrialists, the Ford Foundation and the Harvard Business School, in a true spirit of public private partnership to establish the Institute. 
The constitution for governance of IIMA was different from that for traditional universities. It was set up as an institution that would be managed by a Society, the IIMA Society, created under the Societies Act, for the purpose. The Institute was to be run by the Board of Governors, constituted by the IIMA Society; the Board would have wide representation from all the relevant constituencies to reflect the multifarious needs of a developing nation. IIMA was therefore conceived as an Institute that would be a Board managed institution, free from exclusive control of any one constituency. Thus, operational freedom is an integral part of the DNA of IIMA.

IIMA has consistently been ranked as the number one management school in the country year after year in the last several years. In its latest ranking, The Economist has ranked IIMA at 56 among the top 100 international B-schools in the world that offer full time MBA. The Financial Times (FT) has ranked the two-year post graduate programme in management (PGP) of IIMA in the top ten programmes in the category of Masters Programmes in Management that do not require work experience as pre-requisite for admission. FT reported that this was the first time that any Indian B-school was not only included in the survey but also achieved such high ranking.
