About College:

The Government of Gujarat has established "RAKSHA SHAKTI UNIVERSITY" vide "The Raksha Shakti University Act, 2009’, Gujarat bill No-16 of 2009 in the sixtieth year of the Republic of India to prepare the youth of the state for becoming effective and efficient security personnel and to conduct courses and award degrees, diplomas and certificate for the said purpose. 

The Raksha Shakti University is a unique and first of its kind in India for conducting certificate, diploma and degree courses in the field of Police science and internal security. Till the new University building becomes operational, the activities and the University will be carried out from the old SPIPA building situated at Meghaninagar, Ahmedabad. 

One of the main objectives of the University is to train and prepare manpower to tackle the upcoming challenges of various types of offences such as terrorism, economic offences, cyber crime, telecommunication offences and the offences requiring expertise in forensic science. 

This University, by way of providing efficient persons for security forces, will help the Government to enhance the security and safety of the people in the country.

CEPT University focuses on understanding, designing, planning, constructing and managing human habitats. Its teaching programs build thoughtful professionals and its research programs deepen understanding of human settlements.  CEPT University also undertakes advisory projects to further the goal of making habitats more livable.  

The University comprises five faculties.  The Faculty of Architecture was established as the ‘School of Architecture’ in 1962.  It focuses on design in the private realm.  The Faculty of Planning, focused on planning in the public realm, was established in 1972 as the ‘School of Planning’.  The Faculty of Technology, which concentrates on engineering and construction, was established in 1982 as the ‘School of Building Science and Technology’.  The Faculty of Design was established in 1992 as the ‘School of Interior Design’.  It deals with habitat related interiors, crafts, systems, and products. CEPT University takes its name from the ‘Center for Environmental Planning and Technology’ (CEPT).  CEPT and the various schools that it comprised were established by the Ahmedabad Education Society with the support of the Government of Gujarat and the Government of India.  The Government of Gujarat incorporated CEPT as a university in 2005. Candidates should have a bachelors degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or equivalent recognized by the Council of Architecture (COA) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks for general category candidates and 50% aggregate marks for reserved category candidates. (Two years of experience is desirable).

Selection Procedure for CEPT University:

For M.Arch Program:

Stage I: Primarily shortlists the eligible students on the basis of B.Arch. aggregate marks, portfolio and work experience as judged from the related documents/proofs in the application form. The experience after graduation will carry part of the weightage at the time of shortlisting while part will be scrutinized at the time interview.

Stage II: All the shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.

Course Description:

Master of Business Administration (MBA) (Family Business and Entrepreneurship) Admission 2017

Eligibility:

Eligibility and Selection Procedure for Master of Business Administration MBA Family Business and Entrepreneurship in Institute of Management, Nirma University, IMNU, Ahmedabad

A three-year bachelor's degree (10+2+3) or its equivalent in any discipline from a statutory university. Candidates appearing in the final examination of a bachelor's degree can also apply. 
In addition, the applicants have to produce a certificate from their parents or in-laws that the applicant is in family business and will join his/her family business after the completion of the programme. The applicant has to provide information about his parents/in-laws business in documentary form.

Selection Process: - The selection procedure for admission consists of two steps:

Written Test

The applicants are required to appear for the written test to be conducted by the Institute of Management at Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi and Jaipur . The test consists of the following four sections:

o         Quantitative Skills

o         Verbal Skills

o         Logic and Data Interpretation

o         Social and General Awareness

Each section consists of 30 questions. The total of 120 questions is to be attended within two hours. Negative marks will be assigned for wrong/incorrect answer. The test will be objective type with multiple choice items.

Group Discussion and Personal Interview

Candidates short-listed on the basis of their performance in the written test will be called for group discussion and personal interview. The final selection to the programme would be based on the candidate’s performance in the written test, group discussion and personal interview. The following weight age will be given for each component of the selection criteria:

o         Written Test: 70%

o         Personal Interview: 20%

o         Group Discussion: 10%
