CEPT University focuses on understanding, designing, planning, constructing and managing human habitats. Its teaching programs build thoughtful professionals and its research programs deepen understanding of human settlements.  CEPT University also undertakes advisory projects to further the goal of making habitats more livable.  

The University comprises five faculties.  The Faculty of Architecture was established as the ‘School of Architecture’ in 1962.  It focuses on design in the private realm.  The Faculty of Planning, focused on planning in the public realm, was established in 1972 as the ‘School of Planning’.  The Faculty of Technology, which concentrates on engineering and construction, was established in 1982 as the ‘School of Building Science and Technology’.  The Faculty of Design was established in 1992 as the ‘School of Interior Design’.  It deals with habitat related interiors, crafts, systems, and products. Faculty of Management is a newly established faculty from the Faculty of Technology Management and it focuses on Habitat and Project Management

CEPT University takes its name from the ‘Center for Environmental Planning and Technology’ (CEPT).  CEPT and the various schools that it comprised were established by the Ahmedabad Education Society with the support of the Government of Gujarat and the Government of India.  The Government of Gujarat incorporated CEPT as a university in 2005. The University Grants Commission recognized CEPT University under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 in 2007. The Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) of the Government of India recognizes the University as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO).

A three-year bachelor's degree (10+2+3) or its equivalent in any discipline from a statutory university. Candidates appearing in the final examination of a bachelor's degree can also apply. 
In addition, the applicants have to produce a certificate from their parents or in-laws that the applicant is in family business and will join his/her family business after the completion of the programme. The applicant has to provide information about his parents/in-laws business in documentary form.

Selection Process: - The selection procedure for admission consists of two steps:

Written Test

The applicants are required to appear for the written test to be conducted by the Institute of Management at Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi and Jaipur . The test consists of the following four sections:

o         Quantitative Skills

o         Verbal Skills

o         Logic and Data Interpretation

o         Social and General Awareness

Each section consists of 30 questions. The total of 120 questions is to be attended within two hours. Negative marks will be assigned for wrong/incorrect answer. The test will be objective type with multiple choice items.

Group Discussion and Personal Interview

Candidates short-listed on the basis of their performance in the written test will be called for group discussion and personal interview. The final selection to the programme would be based on the candidate’s performance in the written test, group discussion and personal interview. The following weight age will be given for each component of the selection criteria:

o         Written Test: 70%

o         Personal Interview: 20%

o         Group Discussion: 10%

In recent years, the Indian economy has consistently achieved high rates of growth and in the process it has shifted to a high growth trajectory. In this phase,India’s Infrastructure Sector has also registered an impressive growth. However, to sustain this growth momentum of Indian economy over a much longer period in future, the infrastructure sector needs to accelerate its growth rate and sustain it over a fairly long period. For this purpose, the sector will require not only huge amounts of investments but also a large number of highly skilled managers for efficient implementation and operation of huge infrastructure projects. Currently, there is a large gap between the demand and the availability of trained managerial resources with adequate knowledge and specialization in the infrastructure management. With sustained high growth of Indian economy, this gap is going to widen in the future. Thus, there is an urgent need for establishing an institution of excellence to provide high quality education and training to young persons for shouldering the managerial responsibilities in the infrastructure sector. There is also an urgent need to conduct relevant research and provide appropriate consultancy services to the organizations directly or indirectly associated with the Infrastructure and related sectors. With a view to cater to this crucial need, Adani Education and Research Foundation (AERF)established the Adani Institute of Infrastructure Management (AIIM).

The main objective of AIIM is to provide high quality education and training to bright and aspirational executives for shouldering managerial responsibilities in the Infrastructure and Allied Sectors.

CEPT University focuses on understanding, designing, planning, constructing and managing human habitats. Its teaching programs build thoughtful professionals and its research programs deepen understanding of human settlements.  CEPT University also undertakes advisory projects to further the goal of making habitats more livable.  

The University comprises five faculties.  The Faculty of Architecture was established as the ‘School of Architecture’ in 1962.  It focuses on design in the private realm.  The Faculty of Planning, focused on planning in the public realm, was established in 1972 as the ‘School of Planning’.  The Faculty of Technology, which concentrates on engineering and construction, was established in 1982 as the ‘School of Building Science and Technology’.  The Faculty of Design was established in 1992 as the ‘School of Interior Design’.  It deals with habitat related interiors, crafts, systems, and products. Faculty of Management is a newly established faculty from the Faculty of Technology Management and it focuses on Habitat and Project Management

CEPT University takes its name from the ‘Center for Environmental Planning and Technology’ (CEPT).  CEPT and the various schools that it comprised were established by the Ahmedabad Education Society with the support of the Government of Gujarat and the Government of India.  The Government of Gujarat incorporated CEPT as a university in 2005. The University Grants Commission recognized CEPT University under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 in 2007. The Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) of the Government of India recognizes the University as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO).
