Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET-2019) for Admission at “SVNIRTAR”
SVNIRTAR was established as an autonomous body under DEPwDs (DIVYANGJAN), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India in early eighties with the following aims and objectives.
· Human resource development in the field of rehabilitation.
· Developing model service delivery system for people with disability.
· Undertaking research and development in the field of rehabilitation.
· Undertaking consultancy services.
· Undertaking extension & outreach programs.
SVNIRTAR is located at Olatpur, PO-Bairoi, in the District of Cuttack, Odisha 30 kms from Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. It has well-developed departments in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Prosthetics and Orthotics. It has 100 bedded hospital where surgeries are performed for correction of deformities, contractures, clubfoot and Hansen’s disease and has made a name for itself in limb lengthening surgeries through Illizarov method. The Institution is strong in research and has a fair amount of published work. The faculties are of National and International repute. The Institute is running Bachelors Degree programs in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Prosthetics and Orthotics courses. SVNIRTAR also conducts Postgraduate courses like Diploma National Board (DNB) in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Master of Physiotherapy and Master of Occupational Therapy and Master in Prosthetics and Orthotics. Courses offered by SVNIRTAR:
Post graduate courses (Affiliated to Utkal university):-
1. Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) - 2 years’ duration, in four specializations i.e.
i. Rehabilitation
ii. Musculoskeletal Conditions
iii. Paediatrics
iv. Neurology
2. Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) - 2 years’ duration, in four specializations
i. Rehabilitation
ii. Developmental Disabilities
iii. Hand Rehabilitation
iv. Neuro Rehabilitation
3. Master in Prosthetics and Orthotics (MPO) - 2 years’ duration
Eligibility:
The minimum qualification for admission:
i. MPT Courses - Pass in a full time regular BPT/B.Sc. (PT) course from any recognized University with completion of all requirements of the degree course including completion of Internship by 25.09.2019.
ii. MOT Courses - Pass in a full time, regular BOT/B.Sc. (OT) course from any recognized University with completion of all requirements of the Degree course including completion of internship by 25.09.2019.
iii. MPO Courses - BPO/ B. Sc (P&O) degree or equivalent from any recognized University in India with minimum 50% marks.
SEATS AVAILABLE AT SVNIRTAR.
· Master of Physiotherapy: – 15 seats
· Master of Occupational Therapy: – 15 seats
· Master in Prosthetics and Orthotics: – 10 seats
RESERVATION
Reservation will be made as per the Central Govt. norms. However, the candidates must appear in PG Entrance Test -2019 and qualify according to the minimum norms applicable to them.
The SC/ST candidates are required to submit certificate from appropriate authorities on the basis of which reservation is claimed. In case of non-availability of qualified candidates under one category (SC/ST) the vacant seats, will be interchanged from the other category (SC/ST), in order of merit.
POST GRADUATE ENTRANCE TEST-2019
All the above seats shall be filled through Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET-2019) conducted by the Institute. Indian nationals residing in India or abroad seeking admission as per eligibility are required to appear the POST GRADUATE ENTRANCE TEST, PGET-2019. The test will carry 100 marks. Duration of the test will be 90 minutes.
Application Fee: Rs.1000/- (One Thousand only) for General/OBC Candidates and Rs. 900/- (Rupees Nine hundred only) for SC/ST/PH Candidates
How to Apply:
MODE OF SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM AND FEE DETAILS: -
a. A candidate can apply for the Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET-2019) through on-line process only by visiting the website http://admission.svnirtar.nic.in
b. The information desired to be filled in the online application may be kept ready.
c. Before submission of application form, make the following preparations:
i. Decide the mode of payment of fee
ii. Through Debit Card/ credit card (VISA/ MASTER/ Maestro cards/ internet banking)/ using on-line gateway payment facility. Bill Desk gateway available for online transaction.
iii. If decided to pay fee through Debit card/ credit card (VISA/ MASTER/ Maestro cards/ internet banking) check the validity of the Card and keep it ready with you while logging on to website for submitting application form and generation of Confirmation Page. Final print out of confirmation page will be available after 2 working days of fee payment. If you are facing any problem, please contact PGET-2019 Cell.
iv. Fee Details for submission of Application Form are as follows:
: Rs.1000/- (One Thousand only) for General/OBC Candidates and
: Rs. 900/- (Rupees Nine hundred only) for SC/ST/PH Candidates
v. CHARGES OF BILLDESK GATEWAY: As applicable at the time of filling up application form. Details will be available in the payment portal instructions in online application page.
vi. NOTE:
THE CANDIDATES MUST NOTE THAT AFTER SUBMISSION OF THE APPLICATION FORM IT CANNOT BE WITHDRAWN. CLAIMS FOR REFUND OF APPLICATION FEE WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
