SP Jain Aptitude Test 2014

S P Jain Aptitude Test for its Masters Programs (MGB and GMBA) for January 2014 Intake on Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 12.00 noon to 1.00 pm in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Indore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.

The test venue addresses will be available on the hall ticket.

The aptitude test conducted by SP Jain is intended to test a student's IQ, mathematical ability, logic and reasoning capacity, English reading and comprehension ability. There is also a section on general knowledge. These questions are intended to test knowledge of current events and normal business awareness. The paper would be divided into different sections based on these areas. The test is for duration of 1 hour. The test paper consists of around 40 to 45 questions the format of the test may change from time to time but the testing would be on the mentioned parameters. The aptitude test will be a paper based test. There is negative marking - different questions may have a different scale of negative marking, and this would be taken into account while calculating a student's score. We do not have sectional cut offs, we expect the overall score to meet our cut off.

Bachelor of Business Administration

Eligibility:

Admission Process:

Students must have completed high school / secondary school / junior college or some equivalent form of secondary education and placed in the top 25% of their class.

Students are short listed on the basis of their Year 10 or most recent Board exam (taken in the past 2 years) and SP Jain Entrance Test (SPJET) or SAT score.

Master of Global Business

Eligibility:

As this is a post-graduate program, Master’s degree, you must already be a university graduate to apply. Candidates who do not have their final year results may apply to the program but SP Jain can only make a conditional offer.

Candidates must have completed their secondary education in English.

The candidate must have 0-3 years of work experience. Candidates with over 3 years of work experience may apply to the Global Master of Business Administration (GMBA) program.

Global Masters in Business Administration

Eligibility:

As this is a post - graduate program, Master’s degree, the candidate must already be a university graduate to apply. Preference is given to those with additional relevant post - graduate qualifications.

The candidate must have a minimum of three years of full time work experience.

Candidates must have completed their secondary education in English. If required, candidates may need to provide an authorized statement confirming this.

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test 2013, SNAP 2013

Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune has announced the exam dates for the next Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) in 2013. The paper-based test is scheduled to be held on 15th December, 2013.

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a national level entrance exam conducted by Symbiosis International University, Pune. This all India level exam is conducted for admission into its Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs across 13 institutes which come under SIU.

Eligibility

SNAP test can be taken by applicants who have completed or those who are in their final year of college. Candidates should be graduates in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/ candidates) for all MBA programs, except for programs which require specific subject specializations. How to Apply:

Application procedure

To apply for SNAP 2013, applicants have to first register online for SNAP 2013 before 22nd November. Candidates are advised to read the entire document before filling in the online registration form. Examination fee for the test is Rs 2000. You can pay the fees by online payment mode through credit card or net banking option after registration. Else, you can opt to pay through demand draft from any nationalized bank in favour of "Symbiosis test secretariat" payable at Pune and send it to the following address. Also, you have the option to make payment through cash by taking a challan form after registration of the form and sending it across to the following address. Based on the performance in the SNAP test and their academic profile, candidates will be short listed for Personal interaction (PI) and writing ability test (WAT). The performance of the candidate in each level will be assessed and calculated to reach the final merit list.

Joint Graduate Entrance Examination in Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS) 2013

The JGEEBILS is a shared entrance test for several institutions doing research in Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences. The test is coordinated by TIFR. All institutions have different application processes and the entrance test is only one aspect of this. Please refer to the individual websites of participating institutions for details of their admissions process and degree requirements.

Applicants will have to individually apply to each institution that they are interested in.

Programmes offered at each institution: PhD: at all the listed institutions; Integrated MSc-PhD: at DBS, NBRC, NCBS.NCCS and USER, Pune; MSc by Research: at DBS; MSc (Wildlife Biology & Conservation) at NCBS

Test Venue: The written test will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2013 in the following cities:

Eligibility:

Biology

Ø       PhD programme: Masters in Basic Science or Bachelors in Applied Science. These include MSc (Ag), BTech, BE, BVSc BPharma (4 yrs course), MBBS, BDS. MPharma. Students with training in Physics or Chemistry are encouraged to apply to the programmes.

Ø       Integrated PhD/MSc by Research Programme: Bachelors in any Basic Science.

Ø       MSc Wildlife Biology & Conservation: Indian nationals who have a Bachelors degree in any discipline (with a minimum of 50% in core subjects), less than 35 years of age as on July 1, 2014 and a strong interest in wildlife research and conservation. Graduate nationals of South and Southeast Asian countries, with similar qualifications, are also eligible to apply.

How to Apply:

APPLICATION FEE (Non-Refundable): Rs 500/- for applications submitted online and Rs 550/- for applications sent manually by post. Female candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. Payment can be made online by Credit/Debit cards OR by Demand Draft drawn on State Bank of India.
DD to be drawn in favour of "National Centre for Biological Sciences" payable at Bengaluru. Hall Tickets will be issued only after receipt of application fee. Online applicants sending DD (Rs 500/-) by post should write their reference code, name and telephone number behind the DD and send it to the address as given below. Students applying manually should send the DD for (Rs 550/-) along with the filled-in application form.

MBA Energy and Environment

Eligibility:

F       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Science / Bio Technology / Environment Science / Architecture from any statutory University with at least 50% (for SC / ST categories 45 %) marks at graduate level.

F       Non Engineers with work experience of more than one year in Energy / Environment Sector will also be considered eligible.

F       Students who are in the final year of their Bachelors’ degree education in any of the above disciplines may also apply. Admission of such candidates will be provisional & will be cancelled in case of non-fulfillment of the stated criteria.

F       Candidates passing degree examination by part time / correspondence are not eligible.

 

Reservation:

F       Within the Sanctioned intake:

F       Over and above the Sanctioned intake:

1.      International Students: 15%
