About College:

Apollo Institute of hospital administration (AIHA), established in 1994, offers Master’s Degree in Hospital Management. It is affiliated to OsmaniaUniversity, approved by the AICTE and sponsored by Apollo Hospitals Educational & Research Foundation. AIHA has completed 20 eventful years of teaching and research. It has trained and placed over 600 students who are in progressively responsible leadership positions in hospitals and health care institutions in Indiaand abroad.

The location and attachment of the institute to the Apollo Health City in Hyderabad with access to its resources, places AIHA in a class by itself. The president of the Governing body of AIHA is Padma Vibhushan Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group.

The Institute is located within the premises of Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad in a 30-acre scenic environment with a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The Institute’s library is well equipped with a wide-range of books on hospital and health care management.

The Institute’s Computer Center is equipped with state of the art systems. The entire center is connected through a LAN to facilitate sharing of resources. These facilities are offered with a view to provide hands-on training on relevant packages like, Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and applications in business and hospital management. Students have access to the Internet via WiFi and are encouraged to use information available on the internet for the purpose of academic assignments.

The institute also has a spacious Seminar Hall with a capacity to seat 200 people. Weekly seminars and presentations by guest faculty and students are held here. It is well equipped with various audio-visual aids.

The institute’s Library is well equipped with a wide range of latest books on Business Administration, Hospital Management, Public Health, and allied subjects. The library also subscribes to a number of national and international journals, specifically on healthcare marketing, hospital administration, health insurance, health care technology, and general management. At present, there are more thatn 3000 titles with more than 5000 volumes of textbooks. Selected books are being added periodically to keep it up to date. Comfortable arrangements are provided to enable students to read and refer books, periodicals, journals, economic dailies and online journals database subscribed enabling to access more than 160 international e-journals. In addition to the above, the library has become a treasure trove of dissertation work, hospital study tour reports, and KYH reports, which have been generated by the previous 18 batches of MHM students.

Medical and Non Medical Graduates from a recognized university with 50% marks relaxable by 5% in respect of SC/ST candidates

Selection Procedure

Aspirants for MDHM have to appear for an entrance examination conducted by the Convener, PG Admissions, Osmania University Admissions are made as per O.U rules of reservations

Candidates who have qualified in the Entrance Test, hailing from other states will be considered only after exhausting of local candidates and if still seats are available

Application form can be obtained from the office of Principal by paying Rs.800/- or can be downloaded from www.apolloiha.ac.in

Filled in application forms need to be sent to the Principal along with demand draft for Rs.800/- for general and backward classes candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST, and PWD (persons with disability) candidates, in favor of “The Principal, AIHA”payable at Hyderabad
