SELECTION PROCESS: Selection of candidates will be made through a process of All-India Entrance Test which will test the verbal, quantitative and analytical competencies of the students including English Language (or) Should have valid score in any of the qualifying exams: CAT / XAT / MAT / CMAT / ATMA / GMAT during the year 2019-20. Group Discussion and Personal Interviews will be conducted for the short-listed candidates at NIRDPR, Hyderabad.

ENTRANCE TEST: The Entrance Test will be conducted on 19th April, 2020 at Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, New Delhi, Patna, Pune and Thiruvanantapuram. However, NIRDPR reserves the right to cancel any of the centres or add new centres for any administrative reasons and assign any other centre to the applicants.

Diploma Programme on Panchayati Raj Governance & Rural Development (DP-PRGRD) First Batch

Duration: 1 Year

Eligibility:

The minimum educational qualification for admission is Graduation in any discipline. The following categories of functionaries are encouraged for this programme:

1.     Current and former Elected Representatives of PRIs.

2.     Officials of PRIs, existing trainers associated with SIRDPRs/Partnering Institutions of NIRD&PR.

3.     Academicians and students who desire to have knowledge on PR Governance.

4.     Retired and Current Government Officials and NGO functionaries.

Admission Procedure

The applicants have to register online for the programme by accessing www.nird.org.in. Applicants should upload attested Xerox Copies of marks sheets, degree certificate and other relevant academic / professional record. Weightage in selection would be given only on the basis of certificates and transcripts that are attached. The candidates selected for admission will intimated by post. The list of selected candidate will also be displayed on the NIRD&PR website. Only the applicants who pay the fees within the stipulated date are treated as admitted. Verification of all the original certificates will be done at the time of contact classes. Candidates will be permitted to appear for the term-end examination only after the verification of relevant original certificates, until then their admission will be provisional.

Programme Fee

The fee of the One Year Diploma Programme on Panchayati Raj Governance and Rural Development is Rs 10000/- (Rs. Ten Thousand only). Candidates admitted have to pay the relevant fee in two equal instalments or in one lump-sum within the prescribed date mentioned in the Admission Offer Letter. All payments should be made through Online. No other mode of payment shall be accepted. Fee once paid will not be returned. All disputes are subject to the Greater Hyderabad Jurisdiction.

Fee for Foreign Students/NRIs

Admitted students will deposit a Programme Fee of US$ 1700 at the commencement of First Semester itself.

College Facilities

It is a world class center for rural development training and research. NIRD has every facility in-house for trainees and participants from India and abroad. The filled in application may be sent to Programme Director, PGCGARD, Distance Education Cell, NIRD, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad- 500 030 (Andhra Pradesh), India along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- for General & OBC Category candidates and Rs 300/- for SC / ST / PH candidates towards Application Fee drawn in favour of “NIRD-DEC-PGCGARD” payable at Hyderabad before the due date as mentioned in the advertisement along with required attested copies of Certificates. On reverse side of the Draft, Name of the Applicant, Name of the Programme and Mobile Number to be written.

No Application Fee for NRIs/ Foreigners.
