In pursuance of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, Notification, the 3rd Joint Entrance Examination (Main) - 2016 will be conducted by the JEE Apex Board for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc.

The admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by several participating State Governments, and several other Institutions shall include the performance in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). For admission to NITs, Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) like IIITs etc. and other participating Institutions, the merit, rank list shall be prepared based on 40% weightage to school Boards marks in class 12th or equivalent 3 examination and 60% weightage to JEE(Main). The weightage to school Board, Equivalent examination marks shall be considered only after normalization.

The States of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Nagaland & Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State level examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) - 2016 application form online.

The JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he,she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs, ISM Dhanbad.

INFORMATION BULLETIN:

The detailed information bulletin containing details of examination, syllabus, eligibility criteria to appear, examination fee, cities of examination, State code of eligibility, age relaxation, process of normalization of marks, eligibility for admission, reservation policies and important dates will be available on JEE (Main) website on 1st December 2015. The aspiring candidates are requested to download the information bulletin from above mentioned website only and read the same carefully before applying.

APPLICATION FORM:        

The aspiring candidates have to apply online only through JEE (Main) website. The online application process will start from 01st December 2015 onwards; the last date for application is 31st December, 2015. The eligibility criteria for JEE (Main) & JEE (Advanced) are different. The candidates are requested to read the information bulletin carefully and themselves ensure their eligibility as per the criteria laid down for JEE (Main) as well as JEE (Advanced). In order to facilitate the aspiring candidates, the JEE (Main) secretariat has designated Facilitation Centres across the country who will help the candidates in filling online application without any charge. The list of such institutes is available on the JEE (Main) website and in JEE (Main) - 2016 Information Bulletin.

DETAILS OF EXAMINATION:

JEE (Main) - 2016 shall have two papers, Paper-1 (B.E., B.Tech.) and Paper-2(B. Arch., B. Planning). Depending upon on the course(s) candidates are seeking admission, may take Paper-1 (B.E.,B. Tech.), or Paper-2 (B. Arch., B. Planning), or both.

B.YEAR OF APPEARANCE IN QUALIFYING EXAMINATION (QE)

Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2014 or 2015: or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2016 are eligible to appear in JEE (Main) – 2016. Candidates who passed Class 12th,Qualifying examination in 2013 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2017 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) – 2016. The candidates who appeared in class 12th, equivalent qualifying Examinations in 2013, did not pass in 2013, but passed in 2014 are also not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2016. The candidates willing to appear for improvement examination of class 12th in 2016 have to appear in all the 5 subjects as per the scheme of study of the concerned board. Further, they may also note that in the percentile system, the total marks (of all five subjects) obtained, shown on the mark-sheet of a particular year are required in JEE (Main) and also in JEE (Advanced). The marks from two different year’s (i.e. marks for 3 subjects from year 2015 and marks for other 2 subjects from 2016) mark-sheets cannot be considered for percentile calculation.

C. NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:

The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at JEE (Main) shall be limited to 03 (three).

D. NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS AND AGE LIMIT FOR THE STATES OF MAHARASHTRA AND ODISHA:

Since the States of Maharashtra and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. The age limit, for admission to institutions in these states which were earlier admitting candidates based on their State level examinations, will be as per their past practice only. The number of attempts in such cases will also remain same as per their past practice. This will, however, be obviously not applicable for admission to IITs, NITs, IITs, CFTIs.

EXAMINATION FEE

The fee can be remitted in the following ways;

·         By Debit, Credit Card.

·         Through E-challan generated after successful submission of online application form. The fee through E-challan may be deposited in any branch of Syndicate, Canara, ICICI, HDFC Bank.

In case the examination fee is paid through credit, debit card, the candidates will need to pay an additional processing charge as following:       

Credit ard: - 1.20% of the examination fee plus the service tax as applicable.
Debit Card: - 0.75% + taxes for examination fee up to Rs. 2,000/- and 1% + taxes for examination fee more than Rs. 2,000/-.

How to Apply:

ONLINE APPLICATION FORM SUBMISSION:

Online application has to be submitted through JEE (Main) - 2016 website. The aspiring candidate should furnish all the details and upload scanned image of his, her photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression while filling up the 'On-line' Application. Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated acknowledgment slip after successful submission of data and payment of fee and keep the same in the safe custody for any future reference.

Important Note:

The entire application process is online, including uploading of photograph & signature and payment of fee the candidates are required NOT to send any document to JEE (Main) Secretariat.

Seven (7) Steps to be followed to apply online.

Step 1: Download the information bulletin and read it carefully to ensure your eligibility.

Step 2: Read the contents of Online Format and instructions for applying online given in the Information Bulletin and keep the entire information ready.

Step 3: Keep the Scanned Images of your Photograph, Signature and Left Hand Thumb Impression ready in JPG format only.

Step 4: Fill in the Online Application Form.

Step 5: Upload Scanned Images of Photograph, Signature and Left Hand Thumb Impression.

Step 6: Pay Examination Fee by Debit, Credit card or e-challan (generated after submission of details in online application form).

Step 7: Download Acknowledgement Slip and keep the same in safe custody for future reference.

NOTE: The candidate should mention only his, her own Mobile No. and E-Mail ID while submitting the ON-line application, as all the communications will be sent to the candidates on their registered Mobile Number and E-mail ID only.

APIIT NAT Exam 2016, National Admission Test NAT for BTech Admission

Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT), Panipat has announced the exam dates for National Admission Test (NAT), which will be conducted in June 2016. APIIT NAT will be held on Friday, June 03, 2016.

APIIT NAT is conducted for taking to admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program offered in various disciplines at various schools for the session 2016. Students may opt to appear in any designated centres or may opt for the online test. Students applying for online test will have to specify the online test code and would get a unique ID and password through sms or email 3 hours before the start of the online test.

Eligibility Criteria

iii)Any other qualification considered as equivalent by University

iv)  Age at least 17 years on the 1st date of the month of admission

Admission Procedure

Admission to 50% seats (including 15% all India category seats) will be made by Haryana State Counseling Society through 'ONLINE OFF CAMPUS' Centralized Counseling based on JEEE-2016 (Main) Merit Ranking

The remaining 50% seats are reserved for Institute Level and are allotted on Merit List prepared based upon NAT exam

Students may opt to appear in any designated centres or may opt for the Online Test. Students applying for Online Test will have to specify the Online Test Code and would get a unique ID and Password through SMS or

Email 3 hours before the start of the Online Test

APIIT NAT Exam Pattern

The examination consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (50 Mathematics and 50 Physics)

The duration of the paper will be 2 hours 30 minimum

Each correct answer will earn 3 marks and 1 mark would be deducted for an incorrect answer

Cost of Application Form, Brochure is Rs. 700/-; the payment is to be made in the form of a Demand Draft in favour of "APIIT SD INDIA", payble at Panipat and send the same at APIIT SD India, Faridpur Road, GT Road, Karnal Side, Near Toll Plaza, Panipat-132103 (Haryana) (or);

In case of downloaded application form: A Demand Draft for Rs. 700/- in favour of "APIIT SD INDIA", payble at Panipat is required to be attached with the filled in application form and has to be sent at APIIT SD India, Faridpur Road, GT Road, Karnal Side, Near Toll Plaza, Panipat-132103 (Haryana)

a.       Three self-attested passport size photographs, 1 should be pasted on the application form & one each on Attestation Form A & Form B

b.       The Acknowledgement Card (Form C) will be sent back to the candidate within a week of receiving the application form

c.       Attestation Form B which will act as an Admit Card, Hall-Ticket for the candidate, will be sent to the candidate by post 15 days before the test

d.       The candidate is required to produce the Admit card in the exam hall to the Center Superintendent, for verification

e.       The application number mentioned on the Application Form would act as the

Exam Roll No. for the candidate
