Eligibility:

Minimum Qualifications for Admission

A.    The minimum qualification required for admission to a PhD Programme is a Master's Degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade. Relaxation of 5% of marks from 55% to 50% maybe allowed to SC/ST/OBC/differently abled candidates.

B.    An Equivalence Committee will be constituted by the President of GDGU to consider applications other than covered under section (a) who may propose other qualifications/requirements in specific areas, consistent with the norms of the statutory bodies, to the University Research & Innovation Council (URIC) for its recommendation to the Academic Council for approval.

C.    If considered necessary, DRC may propose other qualifications/requirements in specific areas, consistent with the norms of the statutory bodies, to the URIC for its recommendation to the Academic Council for approval.

Eligibility Conditions for Admission

A.    It is desirable that the applicants, who possess minimum prescribed qualifications for admission to PhD Programme, should have excellent academic/professional track record in the relevant discipline.

B.    The applicant for part-time PhD should:

I.             prove to the satisfaction of DRC that his official duties permit him to devote sufficient time to research.

II.           ensure that facilities for pursuing research are available at his place of work in the chosen field of research, where required.

About College:

The National institute of Financial Management (NIFM) was set up in 1993 on the basis of a proposal made by Ministry of Finance, which was approved by the Union Cabinet. The Union Cabinet envisaged that NIFM would begin as a training institution for officers recruited by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) through the annual Civil Service Examinations and allocated to the various services responsible for manning senior and top management posts dealing with accounts and finance in the Government of India. Eligibility:

Private Participants/ Corporate Executives

(i)           Participants must have completed their Graduation with at least 50% in aggregate from an Indian University / institution recognized by Association of Indian Universities. Preference would be given to the participants having Professional Qualifications such as CA, CS, CWA, CFA, BE/B. Tech, etc.

(ii)          Candidates must have qualified in any one of the all India Common Admission Tests i.e. CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT or GMAT and submit the valid test scores not more than 2 year old

(iii)         The upper age limit is 30 years on the date of commencement of the programme

The decision of the Selection Committee of NIFM for selection will be final and no correspondence in this matter shall be entertained by NIFM.

Government Officers

1.    Minimum percentage of marks at graduation level should be 50%.

2.    The upper age of participant is 40 years on the date of commencement of the programme.

3.    Officers at middle/senior level working with the Central or State Governments, Public Enterprises and autonomous organizations belonging to State / Central Government or similar participants from foreign countries are eligible to apply for admission.

4.    Government officers/PSU officers are exempted from Common Admission Tests i.e. CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, GMAT

For private participants

·         Candidates may apply only through the duly filled in prescribed application form. For Government Sponsored Officers/ Candidates

The government sponsored candidates are eligible for direct admission to the full time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Finance). Applications, complete in all respects, should reach NIFM by 31st July, 2019. Candidates shall be shortlisted by the Institute and the shortlisted candidates and their sponsors would be intimated by 1st August, 2019. All supporting documents/ testimonials (matriculation certificate onwards and relieving letter from the organisation), in original, shall be required at the time of final admission to the Programme.

Eligibility

Five year integrated Masters Degree Programme in any discipline with at least 60% marks, obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2).

For EFPM, minimum age of 35 years and a minimum of 10 years of managerial work experience preferable at senior level is required as on last date of application.

Candidates have to complete the requirement for the course before June 30, 2020 and produce original certificate /mark sheets by September 30, 2020 failing which they may be asked to withdraw from the programme.

 

Selection Process

If the applicant is applying through GMAT, the GMAT score should have validity of 5 years with reference to closing date of round 1 & round 2 respectively.

Selection Process

The selection process for NMP-2020 batch will be conducted in two rounds. The Applicants would be shortlisted on the basis of their GMAT scores in Round 1 for which the Personal Interviews will be conducted on Sunday, 15th December 2019 (tentatively). All the candidates applying before 5th December 2019 on the basis of their valid GMAT scores will be called for Personal Interview on Sunday, 15th December 2019. Applicants applying after 5th December 2019 on the basis of CAT/GMAT scores will be shortlisted only in Round 2 of the admission process for which the Personal interview will be conducted on Sunday, 19 th January 2020 (tentatively). Candidates applying on the basis of their CAT scores will be shortlisted and called for Personal interview only in Round 2 of admission process.

How to Apply:

Online Application

Applicants have to apply online by visiting MDI website. They can click on the programme they wish to apply for and follow the instructions given on the website. Online registration will be Open from 11th September 2019 to 8th January 2020. Candidates have to make an online payment of Rs 3000/-- (Incl. of 18% GST) using Credit/Debit card/Net Banking. After the payment has been made an application receipt is generated, the candidates must take the printout of the application receipt and bring along with them at the time of their Personal Interviews. The candidate will not be allowed to appear in the Personal Interviews without submitting the application receipt duly signed.

Foreign/NRI/PIO Applicants

Foreign/NRI/PIO applicants can be considered for admission on the basis of their valid GMAT scores. Applicants have to apply online by visiting MDI website. They can click on the programme they wish to apply for and follow the instructions given on the website. Online registration for Foreign/NRI/PIO Applicants will be open from 11th September 2019 to 8th January 2020. Candidates have to register for MDI Programme at GMAT website at the time of taking GMAT Examination. Applicants shortlisted on the basis of their GMAT score will be interviewed by MDI. Government Of India (GOI) rules will be followed related to admission of these categories of candidates. GOI guidelines will be applicable in determining the NRI status of applicants. Candidates have to make an online payment of Rs 8496/- (Incl. of 18% GST) using Credit/Debit card/Net Banking.

Minimum Qualifications for Admission
