Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) at BIT Mesra (Main Campus) Duration: 4 Years

Eligibility:

Candidates must have passed Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination with 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination with English as a subject.

Appearing candidates may also apply, subject to production of marksheet with requisite percentage of marks in Class 12 at the time of Entrance Test and Interview.

Notes:

·         Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st October 1995 in case of General / OBC category and 1st October 1990 in case of SC/ST are eligible for admission. Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board Class X (High School) certificate only will be considered as authentic.

·         Candidates with foreign diplomas should see the EdCIL website for equivalence (www.edcil.co.in), and if required should obtain an equivalence certificate from the evaluation division of the AIU (website www.aiuweb.org).

·         In case any Board awards grades instead of marks, the calculation of equivalent marks would be based on the procedure prescribed by the Board.

·         At the time of reporting for admission & document verification, selected candidates will be required to produce originals of Pass Certificate of Class 10, Marksheets of Class 10 and Class 12 showing requisite minimum marks, as well as Caste or Special Category certificates in proper format signed by appropriate authority (please see instructions).

·         At any level of the studies [Class X or Class XII], a candidate / applicant must have passed all the required subjects at that level from the same Board.

Selection Procedure:

The selection will be based on performance of the candidate in the Entrance Test and Interview conducted by the Institute. However, candidates must meet the age criteria and other minimum academic requirements (see Eligibility Criteria above).

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility:

1)    The candidates must have passed in Mathematics / Computer Science / Information Practices as one of the subject in Class 12 / Equivalent Examination.

2)    Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislatures in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India / AIU. This degree must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling [Class 12 or equivalent] (10+2+3 system).

3)    Candidates must have one of following qualifications:

a)    Bachelor of Computer Applications, or

b)    B.Sc. in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics, or

c)    B.Sc. with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at graduate level.

4)    Candidates with above mentioned qualifications (item-3) must have minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST/PwD) marks in average in graduation, marks to be computed as average of marks obtained in all subjects in which candidate has appeared.

5)    Candidates with B.Sc. Honours must have minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST/PwD) marks in average in their Honours subject.

6)    Candidates appearing for final examinations of their Bachelor’s Program in 2020 can also apply, provided they have obtained requisite marks or equivalent (as per item 4 or 5 above) based on latest available grades / marks at the time of applying, and if selected can join the program provisionally. At the time of reporting for the verification of documents cum admission such an applicant must bring a certificate in original from the Principal of Institute stating that:

a)    by 30 June 2020, (s)/he will have appeared for examination in all subjects required for obtaining his/her Bachelor’s degree.

b)    (s)/he has obtained requisite marks or equivalent (as per item (4 or 5) above), based on latest available grades / marks.

Their admission will be confirmed only when they submit the mark sheet and a certificate of having passed the Bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification with requisite marks as per item (4 or 5) above. They must submit proof of passing their final examinations with requisite marks by 31 October 2020. Non-fulfillment of this condition will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

7)    Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance-learning programs are eligible only if (a) the programs are recognized by the DEC-IGNOU (b) they have passed the qualifying examination at the time of applying, with minimum requisite marks in average calculated as per item (4 or 5) above. They must carry original copy of pass certificate, marksheets of qualifying examination and proof of Institute recognized by the DEC-IGNOU along with their application during admission. [Appearing candidate in distance learning programs, whose results are yet to be declared, are not eligible to apply].

In case a University does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100.

3) At any level of the studies [class X, class XII or graduation], a candidate / applicant must have passed all the required subjects at that level from the same Board/ University.

Eligibility:

1) Candidates must have appeared in one of the following competitive examinations and having valid score / percentile.

      CAT 2019

      XAT 2020

      CMAT 2020

      MAT SEPT – 2019, MAT DEC-2019 & MAT FEB-2020

2) Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislatures in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India / AIU. [The percentage of marks obtained by a candidate in the bachelor’s degree would be calculated based on the practice followed by the University / Institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree]

4) Candidates appearing for final examinations of their Bachelor’s programme in 2020 can also apply, provided they have obtained requisite marks or equivalent (as per item 3 above) based on latest available grades / marks at the time of applying, and if selected can join the programme provisionally.

At the time of reporting for the ‘GD & PI’ such applicant must bring a certificate in original from the Principal of Institute stating that:

MBA International Finance

Eligibility:

Candidates who have obtained a Bachelor's degree (10+2+3), Master's Degree from a recognized university in disciplines of Commerce, Management, Arts, Science, Engineering/Technology, or equivalent and have secured not less than 50% of Marks in aggregate (including languages) in the Bachelor's Degree Examination are eligible for admission to this programme.

National Level Written Test for MBA programme: All the aspiring candidates should write national level CMAT conducted by AICTE/ MAT conducted by AIMA / KMAT (Karnataka exam). The score secured in any of these test is necessary to complete the application form.

MBA Admission Process:

All aspiring candidates are requested to apply online for the counseling. The candidates are expected to write any of the national level management tests (MAT/CMAT/ CAT) and its score is essential to complete the application form. Status of Candidates application and selection to counseling will be informed through mail.
