Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for the Hearing Handicapped (AYJNIHH) was established on 9th August 1983. It is an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, New Delhi. The Institute is located at Bandra (West), Mumbai – 400 050. Regional Centres of the Institute have been established at Kolkata (1984), New Delhi (1986), Secundarabad (1986) and Bhubaneshwar (1986- in association with Government of Orissa). Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) is an advanced research institute established and fully funded by the Reserve Bank of India for carrying out research on development issues from a multi-disciplinary point of view. IGIDR was registered as an autonomous society on November 14, 1986 and as a public trust in January 1987. On December 28, 1987 the campus was inaugurated by Late. In 1995, the institute initiated the M. Phil programme. The M.Sc. programme commenced in 2003 to introduce students to the world of research at an earlier stage. ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

All students are expected to demonstrate an acceptable proficiency in English. This is assessed during the evaluations. Students who have not been educated in English must have acceptable English language scores:

·         TOEFL iBT score of 60 overall, with no band less than 20

·         PTE score of 50, with no band less than 45

How to Apply:

APPLICATION

·         Submit your application online (no application fee)

·         A student needs to submit only one application. In fact, duplication of applications may lead to a student's form/admission being disqualified.

·         It is not necessary to have Year 12 results in hand at the time of application. In case the Year 12 results are not in hand, selected students will be offered conditional admission to the program.

ENTRANCE TEST

Students need to take either the SAT or the SP Jain Entrance Test (SPJET). The minimum entrance test score required is:

·         SAT (SAT College Code - 7579)

·         SPJET

It is rare for SP Jain Global to admit students with lower scores, but we do consider all factors including academic performance and extracurricular achievements.

Shortlisted students are required to pay an SPJET fee of USD 45 before requesting for an SPJET date.

EVALUATION

·         The admissions team shortlists applications based on past academic performance, entrance test scores, English language proficiency and other achievements.

·         Shortlisted students go through a final evaluation consisting of an essay and an interview. This is conducted at one of our campuses or at our regional offices in India. The interview is sometimes conducted over Skype when necessary. Shortlisted students are required to pay an evaluation fee of USD 55 before requesting for an evaluation date.

·         Students may apply, take the entrance test and complete their evaluation before their Year 12 results are declared. In such a case, students are offered provisional admission subject to their Year 12 results.

ADMISSION

Students are emailed an admission decision approximately a week after the evaluation.

TRANSFER OPTIONS

Given that all the academic criteria have been met in the first year of your BBA program, you have the option to take a transfer to our Bachelor of Economics (BEC) or Bachelor of Business Communication (BBC) for your second and third year.

Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha was the visionary who conceptulised the Indian Nuclear Programme and along with a handful of Scientists initiated the nuclear science research in India in March, 1944. He envisaged the vast potential of nuclear energy and its possible successful utilization in the field of power generation and allied areas. Dr. Bhabha started working with the goal of achieving self reliance in the fields of nuclear science and engineering and today’s Department of Atomic Energy which is a consortium of different and diversified fields of science and engineering is the final outcome of the farsighted planning of Dr. Bhabha. Diploma in Medical Radioisotope Techniques (DMRIT)

Duration: 1 Year

Eligibility:

·         B.Sc. with Physics / Chemistry / Maths from a recognised University OR

·         B.Sc. in Life Sciences with Physics as a subject from recognised University OR

·         B.Sc. in Nuclear Medicine from a recognized University OR

·         B.Sc. in allied / related subject i.e. Radio Diagnosis (MRT) / Radiotherapy from a recognised University. Candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Science Subjects at B.Sc. level.

Age Limit

·         Not more than 35 years as on 1st May 2019. Upper age limit can be relaxed in the case of SC/ST (5 Years), OBC (3 Years), PWD category (10 Years) and sponsored candidates.

·         The candidates with physical disabilities limited to the lower extremities, but permitting to stand and move and physically able to carry out the course requirement only will be considered.

Note:

Candidates sponsored by institutions with immediate prospect of post training employment in the same institution can apply if they have 50% aggregate marks in B.Sc. in any of the fields mentioned above.

Common Admission Test (CAT)

·         A Common Admission Test for all three courses will be conducted and will comprise of 150 Multiple Choice Questions.

·         The CAT syllabus will be drawn from Science Subjects.

Selection Process

A merit list of candidates qualifying the CAT will be made and candidates will be called in order of merit to attend Counseling Session for allotment of courses in next three days following CAT.

Admit Card

Admit Card will be generated after the last date for receipt of application. Candidates are required to print Admit Card using their own login details. Without Admit Card, candidates will not be permitted to appear for CAT. The list of selected candidates will be displayed on the BARC website (recruit.barc.gov.in / www.barc.gov.in).

Stipend

A stipend of 15,000/- p.m. (Rupees Fifteen Thousand Only) is given to each Non-Sponsored trainee.

Award of Diploma

·         The Board of Studies shall fix the minimum qualifying marks or grades and other criteria for declaring a student as successful for the award of the Diploma.

·         Maximum number of attempts allowed including the first one will be three. The maximum period allowed for completing DMRIT course is two years and the maximum period allowed for completing MSc course is three years.

·         The examination result of all the candidates shall be communicated to the Dean, HBNI through Dean-Academic of the Constituent Institute. The successful candidates will be awarded Post Graduate Diploma by HBNI.
