The All India Management Association (AIMA) was created as an apex body of professional management with active support of the Government of India and Industry in 1957. AIMA is a group- a body to pool management thoughts in the country, a forum to develop a national managerial ethos, an organisation to facilitate the furtherance of the management profession in the country.
AIMA is a federation of Local Management Associations (LMAs). AIMA today affiliates 64 LMAs across the country and 2 co-operating management associations i.e. Qatar Indian Management Association and Mauritius Management Association.
AIMA has established close linkages with over 3000 institutions and over 30,000 individual professionals directly and through network of the Local Management Associations. AIMA’s activities include Distance management Education, management Development Programmes, National Events, Competitions, Research, Publication and Testing Services.

The Process and Eligibility Norms
Aspiring candidate will be screened through a written test Research Management Aptitude Test (R-MAT) and candidates above a-cut-off R-MAT score, which PhD Committee decides, would be called for personal interview at AIMA, on the subject and related areas Delhi
Eligibility Norms A candidate will be eligible for admission to a course of study leading to the degree of PhD in Business Administration subject to fulfilling the following criteria:
Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Management or allied subjects from Commerce, Humanities, Science, Engineering and Law etc. or a PGDM/PGDITM approved by AICTE with not less than 55% marks or equivalent grade OR Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy or any other professional qualification which are considered equivalent to Master Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of 50% marks in Graduation.
Work Experience: Minimum 5 years post qualification work experience in industry at the managerial level or a minimum 5 years of teaching experience as full time Faculty in a Management Institute approved by AICTE or affiliated to a University.

Obtaining of Demand Draft (Pre-Requisite):
You have to provide certain details from the Demand Draft at the time of online registration. Therefore, you must have the Demand Draft ready before filling up the Registration Form.
You are required to obtain a Demand Draft for Rs. 1500/- drawn in favour of 'All India Management Association' payable at New Delhi, in advance.
Application submitted without the details of the Demand Draft will not be accepted
Fill Online Registration Form:
With the Demand Draft ready, you can do online registration. You are to exercise sufficient care while furnishing the details. Recheck before submitting online as no editing is possible after submission.
After filling the form correctly, Click the button "Proceed Next". The data filled by you will be displayed. In case you wish to change any information, click "Back to Edit Registration Form" button. If there is no change in information, click "Submit"button. Recheck before submitting online as no editing is possible after submission.
An auto-generated Registration Number is allotted to you on successful submission of online registration form and will appear on print version of the Registration Form.
Before taking the print out, save the print version of application form using ‘SAVE AS’ function in the ‘FILE’ menu of the window.
After taking the print out, affix your passport size photograph & put your signature in the space provided and attach the Demand Draft with the print version of application.
