Legacy It was in the year 1997, that Dr S C Vats’, founder of Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS), met Swami Jitatmananda ji, an eminent educationist , management expert , author of books on “Modern Physics & Vedanta”, and “Indian ethos in Management”, an active social worker and the editor of “Prabudh Bharat” (Awakened India), a journal started by Swami Vivekakanda. As the destiny ordained under a silver oak tree at “adwait Ashram” in Mayawati in Pithoragarh District of Uttaranchal, invibrating thoughts were flowing from Swamiji’s lips in the balmy aroma of the dense pine and fir forest and he almost gave a diktat to Dr Vats that he need to set up an Institute for higher learning in the capital city of India in the name of Swami Vivekananda, a prophet and a path finder.

How to Apply:

Candidates shall bring the following documents for verification:

·         Registration Slip

·         Part Academic Fee Receipt (Rs. 40,000/-)

·         Admit Card of CET/CLAT/NIMCET – 2019 (Photocopy)

·         All candidates shall bring all mark sheets and a certificate in original from 10th (or equivalent) onwards for verification. Two sets of photocopies of certificates, attested by the gazetted officer or self-attested are to be submitted and one set shall be retained by the University and one set by the Institute. In the absence of mandatory documents of proof of eligibility for admission in programme, the candidature shall be cancelled.

·         In case of students who have passed the qualifying examination through distance/open education system of any recognized University/Board/ Institution, the necessary documentary evidence related to the location of his/her study centre, i.e. study centre proof, a certificate from the University imparting open/distance education certifying the location of the study centre.

·         Conduct and Character Certificate in original from the Head of the Institution from where the qualifying examination has been passed or from Gazetted Officer (Original), not more than 6 (six) months old.

·         Physical Fitness Certificate: All students shall be required to submit a Medical Certificate in given in Part-B in Admission Brochure 2019-20 (As per Appendix 6).

·         Reserved Category Certificate: All reservations category candidates who are seeking admission in the reserved category in SC/ST/DEF/PWD/PH etc must bring their reservation certificate in original along with the self-attested photocopy of the certificate in original along with the self-attested photocopy of the certificate.

After verification of documents, candidates are required to deposit the balance fee through Pay Order/Demand Draft drawn in the favour of Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies payable at Delhi. Selection Process

·         Admission is generally offered on the basis of an interview, which may be supplemented by a written test, if necessary. The Institute will invite a limited number of candidates for a written test and interview based on the academic records.

·         The candidates who do not qualify in the written test need not appear for an interview. The reserved category candidates will be given due relaxation in cutoff marks as per the norms.

National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) was established in 1977 as ‘Malaria Research Centre’, which was renamed as ‘National Institute of Malaria Research’ in November 2005. NIMR is one of the institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research (an autonomous body under Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India). The primary task of the Institute is to find short term as well as long term solutions to the problems of malaria through basic, applied and operational field research. The Institute also plays a key role in man power resource development through trainings/workshops and transfer of technology. M Sc, M.Tech, B.Tech, B.Pharm/B.E./MBBS/MD in Biological Sciences or other branches with a particular interest in Biology with Malaria Research, with at least 60 percent (or equal in CGPA) can also apply ( or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA), for general and OBC category, and 55% for SC/ST/Differently-abled candidate in aggregate (or equivalent grade). In case CGPA is not based on 10- point scale candidate should provide a statement issued by the respective University indicating conversion of CGPA to percentage. Candidates who have appeared or are appearing for qualifying examination in the academic year 2020 are also eligible to apply. However, such candidates will have to submit the proof of qualifying marks either at the time of interview or if selected at the time of admission. Kindly note that registration for PhD degree at AcSIR will happen only after fulfilling the eligibility criteria. Eligibility:

The candidate must have successfully completed a Bachelor's degree securing at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Disabled (PwD)). Candidates appearing in the final year examination of Bachelor’s / Post Graduate Degree Examinations can apply, provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria when their results are declared.

Admission Procedure

All eligible candidates who apply for the programme would be required to appear for one of the following written test(s):

·         Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIMs); or

·         AUD MBA Entrance Test conducted by AUD

Candidate can also apply through both modes – in such a case, that mode will be considered where the candidate ranks higher in the merit list.

The AUD MBA Entrance Test will consist of 90 multiple choice questions (MCQs) on verbal ability and quantitative ability. 4 marks will be awarded for a correct answer, negative marking will there i.e. 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

All students (irrespective of the mode they choose – CAT or AUD entrance exam) will be required to take the AUD MBA Aptitude and General Awareness test (AGAT 2020). This test will comprise of 60 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) on Analytical Ability and General Awareness. 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer, negative marking will there i.e. 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. 

The shortlisted candidates will be invited for Personal Interview and Essay Writing. The essay writing will take place on the day of the personal interview – candidates will be given a topic and will be asked to write an essay of 500 words on the same. The duration of essay writing will be 45 minutes.

The final merit list shall be prepared using the weightage average of marks obtained in the AUD the stage 2 AUD MBA Aptitude and General Awareness test (AGAT 2020-60% weightage), personal interview (25% weightage) and essay writing (10% weightage). An additional 5% weightage will be given for candidates with full time work experience of at least 1 year.
