Eligibility and Selection Process:

1.    Only Candidates who have appeared at Common Admission Test (CAT) 2018 conducted by IIMs/Xavier Admission Test (XAT) 2019 conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur /NMAT 2018 conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) are eligible to apply.

2.    A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate in all semesters/trimesters or equivalent CGPA, of any University incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956.

3.    The Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education.

4.    In case of the candidates being awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the overall equivalence certified by the university/ institution from where they have obtained bachelor's degree.

5.    In case a candidate establishes that the university/ institution from which he/she graduated, does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by the PDPU-SPM by dividing earned CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the quotient with 100.

6.    A candidate appearing for the final year semester examination of bachelor's degree or equivalent can also apply. Such candidates must have to obtain 50% marks or equivalent in aggregate of all the semesters/years.

(a)  Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally with an undertaking to submit the final marks sheet/grade sheet not later than September 30, 2019 and the passing certificate not later than June 15, 2020 to the School.

(b)  However, the admission shall be cancellable without informing the candidate if the final marks sheet/grade sheet and the degree certificate are not submitted latest by September 30, 2019 and if the candidate has not met the prescribed eligibility criteria, in such case the fees paid will not be refundable except the deposit money.

(c)  Non-fulfilment of the above conditions/dates will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission, otherwise the admission shall stand cancelled and the fees paid will not be refundable except the deposit money

Selection Process: The candidates who appeared at CAT – 2018/XAT – 2019 and seek admission in the MBA Programme have to apply in the prescribed form, which is available on www.spm.pdpu.ac.in. The candidates short listed on the basis of aggregate CAT/XAT score will be required to appear for group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI) at SPM, PDPU or may be at other select locations (subject to minimum applications) on the specified date(s).

Group Discussion (GD): The group discussion (GD) shall be held in a group of about 10-12 students. Students appearing at GD shall be evaluated on the set criteria.

Written Ability Test (WAT): Students shall be required to submit a written assignment on the topic announced at the time of GD and PI.

Personal Interview (PI): Students appearing at PI shall be evaluated on the set criteria. Relevance of work experience, wherever applicable may be assessed at this stage.

The GD and PI will take place for MBA programme during March 9 – 12, 2019 with an approved schedule (the GD/PI schedule will be uploaded in the School’s website).

Option 1: BY APPLYING OFFLINE: By downloading the Admission Application Form and sending the duly filled- in application form (available at Offline Admission Form) along with the payment of the application fee of Rs. 1,000 (non-refundable). Candidates are required to send filled application form by registered post, or through DTDC courier to reach us on or before the last date specified. In the imperial Gazetteer of India 1878, Pusa was recorded as a government estate of about 1350 acres in Darbhanba. It was acquired by East India Company for running a stud farm to supply better breed of horses mainly for the army. Frequent incidence of glanders disease (swelling of glands), mostly affecting the valuable imported bloodstock made the civil veterinary department to shift the entire stock out of Pusa. A British tobacco concern Beg Sutherland & co. got the estate on lease but it also left in 1897 abandoning the government estate of Pusa.

Lord Mayo, The Viceroy and Governor General, had been repeatedly trying to get through his proposal for setting up a directorate general of Agriculture that would take care of the soil and its productivity, formulate newer techniques of cultivation, improve the quality of seeds and livestock and also arrange for imparting agricultural education. The government of India had invited a British expert. Dr. J. A. Voelcker who had submitted as report on the development of Indian agriculture. As a follow-up action, three experts in different fields were appointed for the first time during 1885 to 1895 namely, agricultural chemist (Dr. J. W. Leafer), cryptogamic botanist (Dr. R. A. Butler) and entomologist (Dr. H. Maxwell Lefroy) with headquarters at Dehradun (U.P.) in the forest Research Institute complex.

About College:

The Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) was established in 1964 for the study of issues and policies relating to public enterprises (PEs).  Shri.S.S Khera, ICS, the then Cabinet Secretary, Government of India, had conceived the idea of a research institution that would undertake a systematic and sustained study of issues relevant to the formulation of policies towards public enterprises. In the early sixties, when PEs were designed as the principal instrument to serve the social and economic objectives of development, Shri. Khera felt that there was need for an institute which would collect relevant information and documents on PEs, study specific issues and undertake consultancy and training exclusively for PEs. Dr.V.V. Ramanadham, the then Professor and Head of the Department of Commerce, Osmania University, translated Shri Khera’s concept into a reality that is IPE, with the active support and guidance provided by the late Dr. D. S Reddy, then Vice-Chancellor, Osmania University as an autonomous, non-profit society at the initiative of the then Cabinet Secretary to the Government of India, Shri S.S.Khera, ICS, and late Dr.D.S.Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University. The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, recognized the Institute as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in social science research in 1976.  The Institute is partly funded by the ICSSR and the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility:

XLRI was founded in 1949 by Fr. Quinn Enright, S.J. in the Steel City of Jamshedpur. Fr. Postgraduate Certificate in Business Analytics for Management Decision (PGCBAMD) 

Eligibility:

·         The candidates should have a full time bachelor degree in any stream.

·         Minimum 4 Years of work experience after completion of Graduation is mandatory. Basic exposure in analytics is preferable.

·         Candidates should have minimum 50% marks throughout.

·         Candidates must have Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at least in higher secondary level.

Other requirement: Candidate must have carry their own laptops during session with 8GB RAM

Credentials Required: Your credentials will be verified at the time of your interview and admission and hence will not be required at the time of your application for the Programme.

How to Apply:

Online Application: Candidates are expected to submit only Online Application Forms to get admission into the Postgraduate Certificate course of the VIL programme offered by XLRI Jamshedpur. Hard copy submissions of the application forms are not required. It's only at the time of the interview that the candidates would be expected to carry a hard copy of the application form to their respective interview centres, for submissions.

Registration: To apply for the course PGCBAMD, candidates are requested to register by clicking onApply For Registration.

Application Fees: Post registering successfully, candidates are expected to make an online payment of Rs 2500/- plus GST, which is non-refundable.
