About College:

MANAGE was established in 1987, as the National Centre for Management of Agricultural Extension at Hyderabad, by the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India as an autonomous Institute, from which its acronym ‘MANAGE’ is derived. In recognition of its importance and expansion of activities all over the country, its status was elevated to that of a National Institute in 1992 and re-christened to its present name i.e., National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management. MANAGE is the Indian response to challenges of agricultural extension in a rapidly growing and diverse agriculture sector. The policies of liberalization and globalization of the economy and the level of agricultural technology becoming more sophisticated and complex, called for major initiatives towards reorientation and modernization of the agricultural extension system. Effective ways of managing the extension system needed to be evolved and extension organizations enabled to transform the existing set up through professional guidance and training of critical manpower. Post Graduate Diploma in Management- Agri Business Management (PGDM-ABM)

Eligibility:

The Minimum qualification for admission is a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institution with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of SC, ST and persons with disability) in agricultural and allied sciences or any other discipline. Eligibility:
A three-year bachelor's degree (10+2+3) or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. 

Candidates appearing in the final year of the Bachelor's Degree can also apply provided they furnish the proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria by September 20, 2019. They should have appeared in all the examinations of their graduation by the time of commencement of the programme. The candidates failing to meet the minimum eligibility criteria will be asked to withdraw from the programme. The tuition fee paid by such candidates will be forfeited unless such vacant seats are filled by other candidates.

How to Apply:

Application Procedure: Application and Entrance Test (Common Admission Test)

Entrance Test: Applicants are required to appear for the Common Admission Test [CAT 2018] conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIM). The CAT examination conducted at different centres all over the country on 25th November 2018 [refer CAT Bulletin for further details at https://iimcat.ac.in/ The candidates aspiring for admissions at the Institute of Management, Nirma University are required to apply to the Institute separately. The Institute will receive the test scores from IIM for those candidates applied to the Institute. 

IIM, have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
Foreign students/NRI/Person of Indian origin/Gulf Countries and South Est Asia candidates can be considered for admission on the basis of their GMAT scores also [not taken before July 2017].

However, NRI sponsored candidates will be considered for admission only on the basis of CAT-2018 scores. GMAT scores will not be considered for NRI sponsored categories.

Online Application Form: Applicants should complete the online application form through visit the college website with non-refundable admission processing fee of Rs. 1500/- or US $35. The payment should be made online by credit card/debit card/net banking.

Candidates applying under categories such  NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign students/Person of Indian origin holding foreign passport/Gulf Countries and South East Asia candidates should make non-refundable admission processing fee of Rs. 6000/- or US $135. 

A candidate who has applied for admission under general category can convert the application to any other category in which she or he is eligible. In such case, the candidate is required to make a payment of an additional processing fee of Rs. 4500/- or US$ 100 and submit it along with a written application referring the original Application Form No. on or before the last date.

Eligibility for PGPM & PGPHRM:

·         The candidates must have 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in both X and XII.

·         The candidate must have minimum 3 year’s Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from any University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. Candidates appearing for the final examination for the Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent examination) and completing all requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree by 30th June, 2019 can also apply, subject to furnishing evidence to that effect latest by 1st October, 2019; otherwise they may be asked to withdraw from the programme.

Selection Process:

Candidates who have appeared for the CAT (2018) will be short listed on the basis of the details filled in the application form and their CAT scores. Only the shortlisted candidates will then be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interviews during February and March 2019 at one of the centres, viz. Bangalore, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai (centres other than Gurgaon are tentative).

Eligibility for PGPIM:

·         For PGP-IM, on successful completion of the programme requirements, student will be awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGP-IM) from MDI Gurgaon and MIM (Masters in Management) from ESCP Europe.

·         Candidates must have 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in both X and XII along with Masters or Bachelors (4 years minimum) with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from any University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India and a minimum of 1 year (one-year) of work experience post-qualification (4-year's Bachelor's degree) on the last date of application.

The basis for computing the percentage obtained by the candidate would be based on the practice followed by the university/ institution/board from where the candidate has obtained the degree/certificate. In case of the candidates being awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence certified by the university/ institution/board from where they have obtained bachelor’s degree/certificate. In case the university/ institution /board does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by MDI by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying fraction so obtained by 100.

About College:

Until 1936, when Odisha was made into a separate province, all its colleges were under the jurisdiction of either Patna University or Andhra University. Subsequently, the government of Odisha, headed by Shri Biswanath Dash, the then Prime Minister; appointed a committee on 2nd March 1938 with Pandit Nilakantha Das as its Chairman to examine the possibility of establishing a separate university in Odisha. Then, during the premiership of Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati, who played a pioneering role in the establishment of the University, the recommendations of this committee were made available. Pandit Godavarish Mishra, the then Minister of Education, introduced the Utkal University Bill, which was passed by the Odisha Legislative Assembly on 30th June 1943. On receiving the Governor's assent on 2nd August 1943, the Utkal University Act, 1943 came into force, clearing the way for the foundation of Utkal University on 27th November 1943. The University started functioning from this date in room no. 15 of Ravenshaw College, Cuttack. The Utkal University Act, 1943 did not specify clearly the territorial jurisdiction of the University. However, its jurisdiction was extended to include the princely states of Odisha by an agreement between the rulers of these princely states and the Government of Odisha. According to the agreement, adequate representation of the princely states in the administrative and academic bodies of the University was ensured. The Utkal University Act, 1943 was amended in 1947 defining the territorial jurisdiction of the University, which was subsequently extended to the whole state of Odisha in 1950. Dr. Pranakrushna Parija, the then Principal of Ravenshaw College, Cuttack was the first Vice-Chancellor of the University, and Mr. V. V. John, the then Assistant Professor of English, Ravenshaw College was its first Registrar.

About College:

The University of Calcutta was established by an Act of the Legislative Council (Act No II of 1857) of the then British India. A supplementary Act empowering the University to confer some additional degrees was passed in 1860. Another Act was passed in 1884 by which the University was authorised to confer honorary Degree of Law. The University Act of 1904 empowered the University to make necessary arrangements for the instruction of students, and though most of the teaching continued to be imparted in the affiliated colleges, teaching in some of the higher branches began to be organised under the University management. The Calcutta University Act, 1951, which came into operation from March, 1954 brought about important changes in the constitution and character of the University.

Eligibility:

Applicant must have Bachelors (with Honours/General) in Arts/Science/Commerce /Business Administration (10+2+3) or in Engineering and Technology/Medical Science/Law/Professional Course (10+2+4) or its equivalent from any University/Institution recognized by the University of Calcutta.

Selection Process:

About College:

The decade following independence in 1947 was witness to a surge of innovative ideas to build a fledgling independent nation into a model democratic state committed to growth with equity in the development of its people. The establishment of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) was the outcome of one such innovative initiative. Led by Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, Shri. Kasturbhai Lalbhai and proactively supported by the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, Dr. Jivraj Mehta, a group of enlightened individuals set up IIMA. Basic Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate must hold, subject to the condition laid down below,

1.    “A Master’s Degree in any discipline, with at least 55 percent marks, AND with at least 50 percent marks in the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification (minimum three years of bachelors level education after the completion of higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent”. (OR)

2.    Five year/four year Integrated Masters Degree programme in any discipline, with at least 55 percent marks, obtained after completing Higher Secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. (OR)

3.    A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS, with at least 55 percent marks. (OR)

4.    A 4-year/8-semester Bachelor's degree with at least 60 percent marks or equivalent grade point average.

Condition:

The Master's degree or equivalent qualification/Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification should be: (a) from any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956; or (b) recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India or (c) possess an equivalent qualification from an institution approved by AICTE. The Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing Higher Secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.

Candidates who are in the final year of their Master's/Bachelor's Programmes that would make them eligible, can also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally only if they submit a certificate latest by June 30, 2019 from the Principal/Head of the Department/Registrar or Director of the university/institute (issued on or before June 30, 2019) stating that they have appeared for the examinations (including practical examinations) in all the subjects required for obtaining the Master's/Bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification. Their admission will be confirmed only when they submit the mark sheet and a certificate of having passed the master's/bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification referred to in the certificate issued by Principal/Registrar of their college/institute. The deadline for submission of mark sheet and the certificate is December 31, 2019. Please note that those candidates who have applied on the basis of their master's degree will have to meet the 55% marks stipulation, and those who have applied on the basis of their bachelor's degree will have to meet the 60% marks stipulation. Non-fulfilment of these conditions will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

Selection Process:

Candidates applying to the Fellow Programme in Management are required to take the Common Admission Test (CAT) or a standard test in lieu of CAT. For NRIs and Foreign students this standard test is the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT).

How to Apply:

Application Form and Brochure will be available online. Candidates can fill-up the application form online and is eligible to apply for a maximum of three Areas of high levels of specialization. An application fee of Rs. 500/- can be paid through IIMA gate way. The last date for submitting the application will be January 24, 2019.
