The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MOP&NG), Government of India set up The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) at Jais, Dist. Amethi, Uttar Pradesh through an Act of Parliament (“Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology Act 2007"). RGIPT has been accorded the eminence of being an “Institute of National Importance” along the lines of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). The Institute is empowered to award degrees in its own right. RGIPT is co-promoted as an energy domain specific institute by six leading Oil Public Sector Units (ONGC, IOCL, OIL, GAIL, BPCL and HPCL) in association with the Oil Industry Development Board (OIDB) [This however does not bind them to preferentially recruit from RGIPT ]. Course Name:

Eligibility:

·         A candidate must hold a minimum 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH) in Class 10.

·         A candidate must hold a minimum 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH) in Class 12.

·         Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree recognized by the AICTE/UGC/Institute/University incorporated by Act of Parliament/State legislature, university declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH).

·         Candidates meeting the above eligibility criteria and have a valid score of any of these examinations: Common Admission Test (CAT-2018) conducted by IIMs/ Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT-2019)/CMAT-2019 (conducted by AICTE)/ GMAT 2018/2019 are eligible to apply.

·         Candidate appearing for final year examination of programme are also eligible to apply based on the following conditions:

a.    Such candidate must produce a certificate from the authority of the university/ institution certifying that:

(i)   The candidate has obtained 50% marks or equivalent based on latest available grades/marks (i.e. all the years’ grade/marks except the final year grade/marks), and

(ii)  The candidate has completed all the requirements and has appeared for the examinations / practical etc. for the final year/final term and that the result is awaited for obtaining the bachelor's degree/ equivalent qualification. Such candidates, if selected, should submit the final year mark sheet and certificate on the registration date (Monday, July 01, 2019) notified by the Institute.

b.    Non-fulfillment of the above conditions will result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

Candidates appearing in the final year of the Bachelor's Degree can also apply provided they furnish the proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria by September 20, 2019. They should have appeared in all the examinations of their graduation by the time of commencement of the programme. The candidates failing to meet the minimum eligibility criteria will be asked to withdraw from the programme. How to Apply:

Application Procedure: Application and Entrance Test (Common Admission Test)

Entrance Test: Applicants are required to appear for the Common Admission Test [CAT 2018] conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIM). The CAT examination conducted at different centres all over the country on 25th November 2018 [refer CAT Bulletin for further details at https://iimcat.ac.in/ The candidates aspiring for admissions at the Institute of Management, Nirma University are required to apply to the Institute separately. The Institute will receive the test scores from IIM for those candidates applied to the Institute. 

IIM, have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
Foreign students/NRI/Person of Indian origin/Gulf Countries and South Est Asia candidates can be considered for admission on the basis of their GMAT scores also [not taken before July 2017].

However, NRI sponsored candidates will be considered for admission only on the basis of CAT-2018 scores. GMAT scores will not be considered for NRI sponsored categories.

IRMA was established in 1979 at Anand, Gujarat with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC), the Government of India, Government of Gujarat, the erstwhile Indian Dairy Corporation and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). ·         For Admissions 2019, IRMA will be giving two types of calls to the prospective candidates:

·         Candidates who score above 80 percentile in CAT 2018/XAT 2019 and fall in the Profile based call criteria are eligible to be shortlisted for IRMA SAT and GA and PI process.

Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM)Approved by AICTE [18th Batch]

Eligibility:

To be eligible for admission to the FPRM 2019 programme an applicant must satisfy the following two conditions:

Anybody with a postgraduate or postgraduate equivalent degree/diploma from a recognized university or institution in any discipline with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade can apply. (5% less for those eligible for reservations). Those expecting to complete the final exams of these degrees by June 20, 2019 may also apply.

Qualifying Exams: Having valid scores/results of the last five years in any of the following standard qualifying exams or tests.

i) CAT/XAT

ii) GMAT/GRE

iii) UGC-JRF/NET

iv) CSIR-JRF/NET

v) ICAR-SRF

vi) ICAR/ASRB-NET

vii) GATE

·         The percentage of aggregate marks is to be calculated as per the practice followed by the concerned university or institution. In case the university/institution does not have a scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence will be established by IRMA by dividing the obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100. Applicants, who expect to fulfill the eligibility requirements before June 20, 2019, are encouraged to apply.

·         The cut-off period for validity of the qualifying exam or test score is five years preceding the last date specified for the submission of application form to FPRM. Valid scores obtained from February 20, 2014 onwards in all the specified qualifying exams are eligible.

·         Those with PGDRM from IRMA and PGP from any of the IIMs (including Agri-Business Management) are exempted from the above qualifying tests or validity period.

·         IRMA follows the statutory reservation policy of Government of India. Seats not filled by candidates of the reserved category will be offered to the general category.

·         Merely fulfilling eligibility criteria may not entitle a candidate for a personal interview or automatic admission to FPRM.

Research Proposal:

All eligible applicants must submit along with their application a preliminary research proposal of about 2000 words. The proposal should cover topic/problem of the proposed research, its relevance, objectives and methodology of the study, and expected results or findings.

Selection Process

The applications will be screened by the designated selection committee of IRMA on the basis of multiple parameters like academic qualification, test scores, research proposal, and reservation. The selection committee will arrive at screening and cut-off criteria depending on the response. Those found eligible as per screening will be called for the personal interview (PI). The final selection will consist of presentation of the research proposal and personal interview and will focus on assessing research aptitude, subject knowledge/clarity, analytical abilities, general personality, and perseverance of the candidate. The selection committee, if necessary, may conduct a short written test for those called for PI to assess their analytical and communication abilities. The decision of selection committee regarding the process and criteria will be final.

About College:

The history of the IIT system dates back to 1946 when a committee was set up by Hon'ble Sir Jogendra Singh, Member of the Viceroy's Executive Council, Department of Education, Health and Agriculture to consider the setting up of Higher Technical Institutions for post war industrial development in India. The 22 member committee headed by Sri N.R.Sarkar, in its report, recommended the establishment of four Higher Technical Institutions in the Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern regions, possibly on the lines of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, with a number of secondary institutions affiliated to it. The report also urged the speedy establishment of all the four institutions with the ones in the East and the West to be started immediately. The committee also felt that such institutes would not only produce undergraduates but they should be engaged in research, producing research workers and technical teachers as well. The standard of the graduates should be at par with those from first class institutions abroad. They felt that the proportion of undergraduates and postgraduate students should be 2:1. 
With the above recommendations of the Sarkar committee in view, the first Indian Institute of Technology was born in May 1950 in Hijli, Kharagpur, in the eastern part of India. Initially the IIT started functioning from 5, Esplanade East, Calcutta and very soon shifted to Hijli in Sept. 1950. The present name 'Indian Institute of Technology' was adopted before the formal inauguration of the Institute on August 18, 1951, by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. IIT Kharagpur started its journey in the old Hijli Detention Camp where some of our great freedom fighters toiled and sacrificed their lives for the independence of our country. The history of IIT Kharagpur is thus intimately linked with the history of the Hijli Detention Camp. This is possibly one of the very few Institutions all over the world which started life in a prison house.

Eligibility:

Minimum Eligibility Criteria for PGDBA:

A candidate must hold a graduate/post graduate degree with any of the following: 10+2+4/10+2+5/10+2+3+2 with a Minimum of 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the Qualifying Degree (i.e. B Tech/B.E./ M.Sc./M.Com. or Equivalent). For SC/ ST and Person with Disabilities (PwD) category candidates, the qualifying marks for eligibility shall be 55% or CGPA 6.0 on a 10-point scale. The CGPA will not be converted into percentage marks, even if the degree awarding Institute provides marks in CGPA system. Their admission will be based on the CGPA awarded in the transcript. If the CGPA is on a different scale other than 10, the eligibility of the candidates will be calculated corresponding to the equivalence stated above. Candidates, who are in the final year, are also eligible to apply provided they appear in the final examination and complete other academic requirements as specified above by May 31, 2019.For such cases, admission will be provisional subject to submission of final mark sheet by 31st Oct, 2019

A written test will be held on February 17, 2019, and candidates shortlisted after the written test will be called for personal interviews to be held during March 30-31, 2019.

Realizing the potentialities and needs of modernization of the plantation sector through management education and training, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India constituted a core group in 1990 to set up a strategic institution of management education in the plantation sector. IIPM envisaged as a centre of excellence, to act as a think tank and an intellectual resource base for the plantation and associated agri-business sector. It is an exclusive sectoral school of management in Asia, based on a new model intensive institute-industry interaction. Selection Process

The Post Graduate Programme in Management (Part-time) is currently offered twice a year (viz. April and October). The selection would be based on a MDI Test (conducted by MDI in MDI Campus, Gurgaon) /GMAT / CAT. The candidate with a valid CAT and GMAT score are not required to appear in the MDI written test.

All applicants/candidates will also be required to appear for personal interview held at MDI Gurgaon campus on February 24, 2019 (Tentatively) for April 2019 Batch and September 1, 2019 (Tentatively) for the October 2019 Batch.

Through MDI Test

The candidates will have to appear for a MDI written test to be conducted by MDI in its Gurgaon Campus. This test is on similar lines/of the same pattern as the Common Admission Test (CAT). The MDI test will have sections on quantitative ability, logical reasoning and English language skills. The tentative dates for the MDI Test is February 24, 2019 (Sunday) for April 2019 Batch and September 1, 2019 (Sunday) for the October 2019 Batch.

Through CAT -2018

The Common Admission Test (CAT-2018) is conducted by the IIMs on Sunday, November 25, 2018. Applicants must refer to the CAT Advertisement for further details.

Through GMAT

If the applicant is applying through GMAT, the GMAT score should have validity of 5 years with reference to closing date of April & October 2019 batch respectively.

Sponsorship

The programme would admit both organization-sponsored as well as self-sponsored candidates. A sponsorship letter from the organization would be required in the case of organization-sponsored candidates. A no objection letter from the organization will be required from self-sponsored candidates.
