Eligibility Criteria 

Admission to this Institute is for children of eligible serving Army personnel, eligible ex Army personnel and war widows of the Army only. The children of the following categories of Army personnel are eligible and are required to submit the relevant certificates (as given against the category) as proof of their eligibility for admission to AWES Professional Colleges along with the Application Form: 

Certificate Number 1 is applicable for the following: 

(i) Children of serving Army personnel with minimum 10 years of continuous service in the Army 

(ii) Children of Ex-Army personnel granted/awarded regular pension, liberalized family pension, family pension or disability pension at the time of their superannuation, demise, discharge, release medical board/invalided medical board 

(iii) Children of Ex-Army personnel who have taken discharge or released after ten years of service 

Certificate Number 2 is applicable for the following: 

(i) Adopted Child of Army personnel if adopted at least five years prior to seeking admission 

(ii) Step Children are eligible provided they are born from a wedding where at least one parent belonged to the Army who is otherwise eligible 

Certificate Number 3 is applicable for the special cases: 

(i) Eligibility Criteria for Wards of Ex Army Medical Corps Officers/Army Dental Corps Officers presently serving with Indian Navy or Indian Air Force (IN/IAF) 

(ii) Children of APS personnel classified as Ex- servicemen as per Govt of India, Ministry of Defence 

Academic Qualification 

The candidate should have passed 10+ 2 examination or its equivalent in any academic stream with English as a compulsory subject. Candidates can also apply provisionally, subject to the condition that they produce the proof of passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission 
National Open Schooling Students (regular) should produce 11th Std. certificate from school (Admission is subject to the approval of Affiliated University). All provisional admissions will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination 10 + 2, or its equivalent is not submitted as required by due date 

Age Limit 

The candidate should not be more than 22 years of age as on 01st July 2018; the date of birth recorded in the matriculation or equivalent exam certificate will be considered as proof 

Physical Fitness 
Candidate should have good general health with satisfactory limits of chest expansion and contraction, normal vision and hearing. In case of defective vision, it must be corrected to 6/9 in both eyes or 6/6 in the better eye 

Selection Procedure 

Merit List - The admission will be strictly on merit ranking based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Written Admission Test (WAT) 

Relative Merit in case of equal marks. In case of candidates securing equal marks, their relative merit will be reassessed inter-se on the basis of securing higher aggregate marks in the qualifying exam, i.e. 10+2 or its equivalent which will be given first preference 
The decision of the Managing Committee in the selection of the candidates will be final

1.   Candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks in graduation from any statutory University (45% for reserved category).

2.   In case of PGDM (Executive Batch), candidate should have 2-3 years of industrial work experience as a full time employee in the field of Sales, Marketing, Human Resource, Finance, Operations, Systems and related areas of management in the industry is eligible. These applicants should submit the industry experience certificate signed by the Director(HR) or any other authorised signatory of the Company / Companies and copies of their Appointment Letters along with the application form. There will be no difference in the course curriculum for this batch and they will receive the same inputs as applicable to the PGDM Programs except for the fact that they can expect lateral placements with higher compensation packages. Those having lesser number of industrial experiences also get different and upgraded placements depending upon their corporate experience though they may not be admitted to the Executive Batch, but to the other courses.

3.   Relevant work experience means full time employment in any company and not in the family business. It also means working on full-time basis on the specialization departments in the company such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, IT, Operations and so on. Only such candidates can expect differential compensations based on work experience. However the selection committee can look into all the other type of work experiences and consider award of marks.

4.   Candidates appearing for any final year Degree examination up to June 2018 can also apply. However, if they fail to match the above qualitative requirement when the result is declared for the graduation examination, they will be relieved from the course compulsorily. Same will be the case with respect to those who fail in their degree examination, which means a candidate should qualify his/her graduation examination with a minimum of 50% marks latest by the academic year 2018-19. The mark sheets should be submitted to the Institute.

5.   Medical Fitness should be as explained in this Handbook.

6.   Should be willing to comply with the Rules and Regulations of the Sri Balaji Society, Pune as explained in this Handbook.

Selection Procedure

Written Examination

We accept CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT scores. However, as CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT scores are issued to the students, any student who has appeared for the CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT examinations can apply for our courses with the CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT scores. Thus, all the four Management institutes will accept CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT scores. However, the XAT, MAT and CMAT scores will be equalized and validated to the CAT score value and that will only be counted for the purpose of merit list. Anyone having any objection to the same, need not to apply. We do not believe in any cut-off points as we give only 30% of the weightage for the entrance examination, while making the merit list.

About College:

NITIE Alumni Association (NAA) has been functioning to maintain the alumni relations of NITIE amongst the past students. Maintaining a strong alumni relations program is essential to the growth and development of our institute. With this motive in mind, the Executive Committee of the NAA has approved a proposal to create a Corpus Fund from the Alumni of NITIE. 

The donations will be accepted for both specific projects and general purposes. General contributions will be credited to the corpus fund. The management of the fund will be looked after by a committee chaired by the director and comprising of two senior faculty members and two representatives of Alumni. 

To ensure that the alumni of NITIE continues to be closely knit, NAA organizes Regional Alumni Meets every year to facilitate better interaction amongst the alumni and to strengthen their links with the institution. 
Last year we had the Chennai alumni meet at the picturesque Buena Vista beach resort at Neelangarai beach. Despite a heavy downpour, games like beach football and Housie were played followed by an elaborate two hour lunch. 

The Bangalore alumni meet of NITIE was held on 22nd of May at Taj Gateway. A lot of fruitful discussions took place about the recent happenings in NITIE and the changes that have taken place in the last 3 years. 
The Delhi alumni meet of NITIE was held on 15th of May at West End Inn. Mr. A Srinivasan from IE 1 batch also attended the meet and shared the genesis of NITIE. The star attraction of the meet was Dumb Charades wherein M/s. Akhilesh Tuteja and Avatar Mahajan won a lot of goodies. 

The Kolkatta meet was held on 29th May, the venue being the Taj Park Street. The alumni caught up with the status quo at NITIE regarding placements, infrastructure, faculty etc. Other cultural activities were also conducted. 

Yet another initiative by the NITIE students to strengthen bonds with the alumni is the monthly newsletter titled ???Lakeside Musings??? meant exclusively for private circulation among the alumni. 

The alumni committee expresses its deep gratitude to the distinguished alumni for their affection and co-operation in organizing/participating in the meets and for their wonderful appreciation of the newsletters.

1) GATE (2018) qualified students with 60% aggregate marks at graduation in Engineering, Technology in any branch for PGDIE program. For PGDMM & PGDPM students with following engineering disciplines can only apply - Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Chemical, Civil, Textile, Electrical, Electronics & other relevant branches such as Industrial Engineering, Instrumentation & Industrial electronics.  However, candidate with Civil Engineering background will not be considered for PGDMM. 2) Sponsored Candidates:

Few seats in PGDIE, PGDMM and PGDPM are available for Sponsored Candidates. Sponsored Candidates must be from:

a) Reputed Industrial Organization, Academic Institution.

b) Required to have atleast 2 years of full time relevant experience after graduation in Engineering, Technology.

c) NOT required to give the GATE conducted by IITs. However, they may have to attend a Written Test, Personal Interview to be conducted at the Institute.

d) Sponsored candidates should also fill in the sponsorship form available on the NITIE website and also produce sponsorship certificate in the specified format from their employer. No Teaching Assistantship is granted to sponsored candidates.

 3) Candidates who are currently in their final year of Engineering, Technology degree can also apply. They are required to:

a) Complete their examination, viva voce etc. 

b) Submit the final year mark-sheet and provisional certificate.

c) The final results should indicate qualifying degree with 60% aggregate marks (5% concession in case of SC, ST, PD candidates), else the admission to the program stands withdrawn.      

4) Duration of work experience specified, if any, should be after graduation.

5) Reservation for SC, ST, PD and OBC candidates belonging to the “Non-Creamy Layer” is as per the Government of India rules.

6) Certificates in support of SC, ST, PD, OBC Non-Creamy Layer, as applicable to be produced at the time of GD, PI with self attested.

7) The Application Fee is Rs.1000 (Rs 500 in case of SC, ST, PD candidates) for applicants from India and SAARC countries.

a) The details of the payment of fees are to be provided to complete the filling up of the application form.

b) The Application fee has to be physically deposited in any of the branches of SBI or ICICI bank through challan payment. Payment can be made online through payment gateway of ICICI. Online option is also available for SBI account holders through I Collect facility.

8) Candidates are requested to bring two sets of Application Form along with all original and photocopies of all certificates, marksheets, experience certificates for verification at the time of GD, PI.

International Students:

a. 15% of the approved intake (in supernumerary quota) will be reserved for international students in the above PG programme offered by NITIE.  Entry level qualification shall be at par with that of Indian students as specified above. Admission cut-off will be based on valid GRE Scores. Students from non-English speaking countries should have a valid TOEFL Score. International Students should attend the interview along with Indian students; if not feasible, there is an option for interview through video conferencing.

b. Application fee is USD 50, plus bank charges as applicable for International students.
