Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

Duration: 2 Years

Eligibility:

The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Differently Abled (DA*) categories], from any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. If selected, such candidates will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if he/she submits a certificate latest by June 30, 2020 from the Principal/Registrar of his/her College/Institute (issued on or before June 30, 2020) stating that the candidate has completed all the formalities/requirements for obtaining the bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of certificate.

Prospective candidates must maintain a valid email account and consistent phone number throughout the selection process. CIMP will not be responsible for non-delivery of messages if the email address and phone number provided by the candidate in the application form are invalid/changed later.

Applicants should note that mere fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria may not ensure consideration for short listing by CIMP. CIMP will not entertain any correspondence on this subject and decisions of the CIMP Admissions Committee will be final in all matters.

Application Form

·         Cost of an Application Form is Rs. 500/- (Rs. 200/- for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Backward Class (BC) and Differently Abled (DA)* candidates).

·         Application forms and Admission Brochure can be obtained from the Institute on all working days from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. Application forms and Admission Brochure can be downloaded from our website www.cimp.ac.in. Candidates may submit the Application Form at the CIMP counter by hand or by post.

·         Applicants can also apply online on our website along with online payment of the application fee. Rs. 60 will be charged as convenience charges in case of online payment. The application fee can be paid through Cash or Credit Card/ Debit Card/Bank Transfer through the designated payment gateway.

·         Payment can also be made by Demand Draft, drawn in favour of Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna, payable at Patna, giving CIMP Application Registration number on the reverse of the Demand Draft. In the absence of the above information, the application will be treated as incomplete and liable to be rejected. All payments by Demand Draft are to be sent to CIMP.

·         Applications complete in all respects, including application fees, should be submitted direct / online by midnight of 10 March 2020. Incomplete forms are liable to be rejected summarily

Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)

Eligibility:

The candidate must hold a master’s degree [or equivalent in Engineering / Technology / Management / Economics / Social Science / Biological Science / Pure Science / Commerce / Humanities] with above 50% marks or equivalent CGPA from a University incorporated by an Act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. Foreign applicants having Masters Degree with above 50% marks or equivalent will also be considered.

SCHOLARSHIP AND FACILITIES

All selected candidates are eligible for CIMP Fellowship. A fellowship of Rs. 20,000/- per month will be provided for a period of 4 years to the admitted candidates. All the candidates getting admission will be provided accommodation within the campus. Each candidate has to pay the mess bill and study material charges. They will have access to the library and other academic resources available at CIMP. As a part of the programme fellow students will be allowed to attend one international and two national academic conferences.

Eligibility:

Graduates of full-time degree course and candidates in the final year of the undergraduate degree are eligible to apply. Candidates from ODL (Open and Distance Learning) institutions are also eligible to apply as per the UGC policy and notification.

Applicants born on or after January 1, 1993 and on or before December 31, 2000 are eligible to apply.

Applicants are required to take any of the following standardized entrance exams – CAT 2019 / XAT 2020 / CMAT 2020 / GMAT / GRE.

There is a different cut off score for each entrance exam which is given in the section “Application Screening”. From among the entrance exam score given by the applicant, the best score will be considered subject to meeting the eligibility cut off.

While entrance exam scores are an important component of the admission process, they are not the sole criteria for admission. Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI) will be based on parameters such as academic performance in Class X, Class XII, UG and performance in the competitive exams, in short called as “Qualifying parameters”.

Admission to the programme will be based on combined scores of qualifying parameters and interview parameters which include work experience and extra-curricular activities.

Eligibility:

·         The applicant for the Post- Doctoral Fellowship Programme shall possess a Ph.D. or equivalent degree from a recognised University, other than Nirma University.

·         The applicant should have three publications in high quality Journals (listed in the Web of Science / SCOPUS / Hein Database / Indian Citation Index / ABDC / EBSCO – Art & Architecture Database or similar international agency).

Procedure of Admission

For admission to the Postdoctoral Fellowship Programmes, the University invites the applications through advertisement in newspapers, social media and the University website. The candidates have to apply in a format prescribed by the University and also have to submit necessary copies of certificates, biodata, list of publications, detailed Research Proposal, etc. The Research Proposal should include the Research Project Title, Research Objectives, Project Summary, Expected Outcomes of the proposed Research, Requirement of Infrastructure/Equipment/Software, Timeline of the Research, etc. The candidate would make a presentation of Research Proposal before the Selection Committee. Followed by the presentation, there will be personal interview of the candidate. Overseas applicants must also apply online. However, they must take the Admission Test at one of the Test centres located in various towns and cities all over India (see Prospectus). Eligibility:

Eligibility for Indian Nationals: A three-year (10+2+3) University Degree in any discipline or a four year (10+2+4) Engineering / Technology / Medicine / Other, recognized by the UGC/AIU/AICTE are eligible for Post Graduation, with not less than 50% overall aggregate marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to the Reserved category, as per norms). The School of Planning and Architecture had a modest beginning in 1941 as a Department of Architecture of Delhi Polytechnic.
