About College:

The Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) was established in 1964 for the study of issues and policies relating to public enterprises (PEs).  Shri.S.S Khera, ICS, the then Cabinet Secretary, Government of India, had conceived the idea of a research institution that would undertake a systematic and sustained study of issues relevant to the formulation of policies towards public enterprises. In the early sixties, when PEs were designed as the principal instrument to serve the social and economic objectives of development, Shri. Khera felt that there was need for an institute which would collect relevant information and documents on PEs, study specific issues and undertake consultancy and training exclusively for PEs. Dr.V.V. Ramanadham, the then Professor and Head of the Department of Commerce, Osmania University, translated Shri Khera’s concept into a reality that is IPE, with the active support and guidance provided by the late Dr. D. S Reddy, then Vice-Chancellor, Osmania University as an autonomous, non-profit society at the initiative of the then Cabinet Secretary to the Government of India, Shri S.S.Khera, ICS, and late Dr.D.S.Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University. The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, recognized the Institute as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in social science research in 1976.  The Institute is partly funded by the ICSSR and the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility:

The candidates fulfilling all criteria are Eligible for the offered programs: the Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of SC/ST/PC Candidates), from any UGC recognized University by the Ministry of HRD, GOI. Candidates appearing for the Final year degree Examinations (Or Equivalent Examination) can also apply. The proof of acquiring the Qualification should be submitted within four weeks from the date of commencement of the course.

Selection Procedure

Final selection will be based on the performance of the candidate’s score in CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA/CMAT/GMAT, Group Discussion and Personal Interview and a Consistent Academic Record. Equal Weightage shall be given to the Performance in Admission Test, Group Discussion, Personal Interviews and Consistent Academic Record.

c. In case of Inter Collegiate and All India Inter-Varsity position holders the certificate will be verified from the Director of Sports of the concerned universities.

Note: Certificates of sports and games organized by the Nehru Yuvak Kendra, Women Sports Festivals, Rural Games and Sports Festivals, Panchayats, and Invitation Tournaments will not be considered.

(iii) Physical Efficiency Test: All the eligible candidates will be required to qualify the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). However, the criteria, specifications and important Notes of the individual events as at AnnexureXIV.

a) Married female selected candidates will have to submit a certificate from SMO/MO of the Civil Hospital that she is not in family way, along with an undertaking that if during the course of study, it is found that she is in family way, her admission would be liable to be cancelled IPSO-FACTO and all dues paid by her shall be forfeited.

In the imperial Gazetteer of India 1878, Pusa was recorded as a government estate of about 1350 acres in Darbhanba. It was acquired by East India Company for running a stud farm to supply better breed of horses mainly for the army.
