Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Allahabad (MNNIT) is an Institute with total commitment to quality and excellence in academic pursuits. It was established as one of the seventeen Regional Engineering Colleges of India in the year 1961 as a joint enterprise of Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh, and was an associated college of University of Allahabad, which is the third oldest university in India. For a short duration of two years (2000-2002), the Institute was affiliated to U.P. Technical University. With over 45 years of experience and achievements in the field of technical education, having traversed a long way, on June 26, 2002 MNREC was transformed into National Institute of Technology and Deemed University fully funded by Government of India. Eligibility:

i.              The eligibility conditions given below shall be considered to be the absolute minimum. Departments may prescribe any requirements over and above these.

ii.             Candidates must have minimum 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 C.P.I. (Cumulative Performance Index on Ten point scale) in qualifying examination. For SC/ST candidate’s, minimum marks will be 55% aggregate or 6.0 CPI.

iii.            Reservation in the Programme shall be done as per the Government of India Rules

iv.           For Master of Technology (M.Tech.), the candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or a Master’s degree in appropriate discipline of science as given in qualifying degree mapping

v.            For Master of Business Administration (Executive MBA), the candidate should have Bachelor Degree or equivalent of minimum three years duration in any discipline

vi.           Part time Students (M.Tech./MBA): Candidates under this category are admitted for the M.Tech./MBA programmes which are being offered on part-time basis. A Part-time candidate must have been in full time service for at least two years after completion of qualifying degree at the time of admission. The part-time classes shall be held in the evening on working days. Their semester load requirements for course work shall be about half of the full time course. The minimum duration of such course shall be of three years and maximum duration of the course shall be of five years. These courses are for the professionals working in the Allahabad district. Programmes offered will run subject to availability of sufficient number of candidates in respective programme. In case, if less number of candidates qualify for a particular programme of the department than the minimum required, then the candidates will have the option to switch to another M. Tech. programme based on their eligibility and subject to approval of competent authority. Executive MBA course will not operate if the number of seats filled is less than 1/3rd of the total seats.

vii.         Full time Sponsored

a.    Full-Time sponsored Masters' programmes students are those who receive financial support from AICTE under QIP scheme OR from Government/Semi-Government Institutions/Government/Semi-Government Organizations, under study leave. Such a candidate must be sponsored by his/her employer and must have been in employment with the sponsoring organization for at least two years at the time of admission. Candidates in service are to be released on study leave or extraordinary leave from the organization for full-time research work at the Institute and must furnish a sponsorship along with No-objection certificate from the employer.

b.    Foreign students shall be sponsored by their Government or awarded scholarship by Govt. of India, Indian Council for Culture Relations (ICCR) or other such agencies/organizations.

About College:

The main objective of setting up of the Indian Culinary Institute (ICI) is to institutionalize a mechanism to support efforts intended to preserve, document, promote and disseminate Indian Cuisine, meet the sectoral requirement of specialists specific to Indian Cuisine, as also of promoting Cuisine as a Niche Tourism product. The ICIs will be Centres of Excellence which will offer structured regular programmes of study specific to culinary arts and culinary management leading to graduate and post graduate level degrees, promote research and innovation, organize demand driven certificate and diploma courses, document and create data base specific to Indian cuisine and commission studies and survey on cuisine.

Eligibility:

QUALIFYING EXAMINATION

A pass in 10+2 system of Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent from a recognized Board/Council with a minimum of 50% in case of General and OBC candidates and 45% in case of SC and ST candidates. AGE LIMIT

For candidates from General and OBC categories, upper age limit is 22 years as on 01st July 2020. Candidates born on or after August 01, 1997 are eligible. In the case of Scheduled Caste, PD and Scheduled Tribe candidates, upper age limit is 27 years as on 01st July 2020. That is SC/ST candidates born on or after August 01, 1992 are eligible. Upper age limit for Physically Challenged candidates shall be reckoned as per the category he/she belongs to i.e. General/SC/ST/OBC. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/Pre-University Certificate shall be considered as the authentic proof for age criteria. Financial Assistance

 

Financial assistance in the form of Institute Assistantships is available to the students admitted to Ph D programmes under Full Time regular registration category. Such students must have qualified GATE.

 

Presently the Assistantships @ Rs. 31,000/- per month is available to full time students admitted to the PhD programmes.

 

The NET-LS qualified students may be eligible for Institute assistantship in Humanities and Management provided they have CPI of 7.0 or 70% marks in the qualifying examination. The assistantship is subjected to its availability.

 

A student shall be assigned duties up to eight hours per week by the Departments to avail the Teaching Assistantship. The renewal of assistantship is contingent on the student's satisfactory performance in the academic programme and in the discharge of assistantship duties on a semester to semester basis.

 

For the Odd Semester of Session 2020-21, the Institute Assistantship available in each department are as given in Table 2D of Annexure II.

 

No student shall be admitted to Full time Regular Registration Category without Institute Assistantship or National-level Scholarships/Fellowships. No student can get financial assistance from more than one source at a time.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organization under the Society Registration Act 1860 for conducting efficient, transparent and international standard tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admissions to premier higher education institutions. NTA will conduct the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination 2020 (NCHM JEE-2020)on the same pattern as per the year 2019 i.e., Computer Based Test on April 25, 2020 from 09:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for admission to the B.Sc. Course in Hospitality and Hotel Administration (B.Sc. HHA) across the Country.

National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) is an autonomous body under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The Council centrally run and regulates academics for B.Sc. Hospitality & Hotel Administration and ten other structured courses of study that are imparted at the affiliated 21 Central Institutes of Hotel Management, 25 State Government Institutes of Hotel Management, 01 Public Sector Undertaking and 24 Private Institutes of Hotel Management. All Institutes follow standardised course curricula prescribed by the Council for different professional programs.

Quality of education and training provided by the Institutes help students to emerge as professionally qualified personnel for hospitality and other allied service sectors. The Council has till date trained more than one lakh Hospitality Managers, Executives and other operational personnel. Its alumni from affiliated Institutes occupy key positions in the hospitality industry as well as in allied industry both in India and abroad.

Mode of the Examination Computer Based Test (CBT)

Eligibility:

QUALIFYING EXAMINATION: 10+2 system of Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects. Candidate must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination. Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in NCHM JEE 2020 on provisional basis. Provisional admission will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted at the time of counselling or at the time of admission or latest by 30.09.2020 The offer of admission is subject to verification of original certificates/documents at the time of admission. If any candidate is found ineligible at a later date even after admission to an Institute, his/her admission will stand cancelled.

QUALIFYING EXAMINATIONS FOR INDIAN STUDENTS

·         Plus two level examination in the 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education of any recognized Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination or State Boards of Secondary Education.

·         Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.

·         General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.

·         High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University.

·         Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in a foreign country recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education.

·         H.S.C. Vocational Examination approved by NCVT and SCVT of concerned state.

·         Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects including English as one of the Subjects, result of which should be available up to 30.09.2020.

AGE LIMIT

For candidates from General and OBC categories, upper age limit is 25 years as on 01.07.2020. Candidates born on or after July 01, 1995 are eligible. In the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, upper age limit is 28 years as on 01.07.2020. That is SC/ST candidates born on or after July 01, 1992 are eligible. Upper age limit for Physically Challenged candidates shall be reckoned as per the category he/she belongs to i.e. General/EWS/SC/ST/OBC. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/Pre-University Certificate shall be the authentic proof that will be accepted. At the time of counseling, this certificate must be produced in original as a proof of age, failing which the candidate will not be considered for Counselling/admission.

How to Apply:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

Candidates have to apply for NCHM JEE-2020“Online” ONLY by accessing the website nchm.nta.nic.in. The Application Form other than online mode would not be accepted, in any case. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. More than one application i.e. Multiple application forms submitted by a candidate will be rejected.

It is suggested that candidate have the following ready before starting the filling of the application form:

·         A computer with good internet connectivity

·         Candidate’s all qualification details

·         Scanned clear passport photograph in JPG/JPEG format (size between 10kb -200kb)

·         Scanned clear signature in JPG/JPEG format (size between 4kb- 30kb)

·         A valid e-mail Id as all communication will be made on this e-mail Id

·         A valid mobile number as all information via SMS will be sent to this number

·         A valid debit/credit card/ Net banking/UPI or PayTM account if you want to pay ONLINE

·         A printer connected to your system to print confirmation page.

No correction can be made at a later stage after submission of an application. No change will be accepted through offline mode i.e. through fax/application including e-mail etc.

Follow following five (5) Steps to apply online:

Step-1: Register for online application form and note down system generated application number. The candidate should supply the details while filling the online Application Form and is also required to create PASSWORD and choose Security question and enter his/her Answer. After successful submission of the personal details, Application number will be generated and it will be used to complete the remaining steps of the application form and will also be required for all future correspondence. For subsequently logins, candidate will be able to login directly with the respective system generated Application Number and created Password.

Step-2: Complete the Application Form : Candidate can login with the system generated Application Number and created Password for completing the Application Form.

Step-3: Upload Scanned Images of candidate photograph and candidate signature.

1.    Scanned photograph and Signature should be in JPG/JPEG format.

2.    Size of scanned photograph should be between 10kb to 200 kb.

3.    Size of scanned signature should be between 4 kb to 30 kb.

4.    The photograph should be coloured or black/white (but clear contrast).

Note: Upload the correct Photograph and Signature as the facility for correction in images will not be given.

Step-4: Payment by Debit/Credit Card/ Net Banking/ PayTM/ UPI: The candidate has to select Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/ PayTM or UPI option to pay the application fee and follow the online instruction to complete the payment of fee. After successful payment, candidate will be able to print the confirmation Page. In case the confirmation page is not generated after payment of fee then the transaction will be cancelled and amount will be refunded to the candidate’s account. However, the candidate has to make another transaction, in case the Confirmation Page is not generated.

Step-5: Choose the city for giving the examination NCHM JEE-2020

Steps can be done together and separately also.

Note:

i) The final submission of online Application form will remain incomplete if Step-2, Step-3, Step4 and Step-5 are not completed. Such forms will stand rejected and no correspondence on this account will be entertained.

ii) No request for refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained.

iii) The entire application process of NCHM JEE-2020 is online, including uploading of scanned images, Payment of Fees and Printing of Confirmation page. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/submit any documents(s) including Confirmation page to NTA through Post/By Hand.

iv) Candidates are advised to keep visiting the NTA’s website regularly for latest updates and to check their SMS/e-mails.

v) The NTA can make use of the data generated for the purpose of research and analysis.

All the candidates who have submitted the online application and paid the examination fee till last date will be allowed to appear in NCHM JEE 2020 and their admit cards will be uploaded on the website as per schedule. The NTA do neither verify the information filled by the candidates in application form nor verify any certificate of category/ educational qualification for deciding the eligibility of candidates. The certificates of educational qualification and category (if applied under reserved category) will be verified by the concerned institution. The candidates are, therefore, advised to ensure their eligibility and the category (if applying under reserved category). The NTA will, in no way, be responsible for any wrong/ incorrect information furnished by the candidate(s) in their online application form. The letter/e-mail in this regard will not be entertained by the NTA.

The candidates are required to check the status of fee payment at NTA website (nchm.nta.nic.in) and if the status is ÓK’ the candidate will be able to take the printout of Confirmation page. In case, the fee payment status is not ÓK’ the candidates are advised as following:

·         If the fee is paid through credit/ debit card and status is not OK, it means the transaction is cancelled and the amount will, automatically, be refunded to concerned credit/debit card within 15 days. Therefore, such candidates have to pay the fee once again and ensure the ‘’OK’ fee status.

National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) was established by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in 1982 to oversee hotel management and catering education offered by Institutes set up by it. The Council has been responsible in providing professional and skilled human capital to the hotel and tourism industry through its eleven programs. In 2002, the Council and Indira Gandhi National Open University joined hands and launched the 3-Year B.Sc. Degree in Hospitality and Hotel Administration and this cooperation further graduated with commencement of M.Sc. Hospitality Administration Program in 2003.

About the M.Sc. Hospitality Administration Program

The M.Sc. Program launched by NCHMCT in collaboration with IGNOU has specific focus on the services sector as against majority of MBA programs which concentrate on merchandise and manufacturing businesses. Experimental components such as team project, mentorship under the guidance of industry specialists positions the M.Sc. scholar current with entire spectrum of hospitality and service industry.

About written test

Written test comprising of 100 MCQs on hospitality related generic questions of graduate level as well as general knowledge, general English and numeric aptitude, will be held by the Council at six IHMs (centres) in India viz., Bengaluru; Chennai; Noida; Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai. The written test will be held on 16th May 2020 (Saturday). Duration of the written test will be 2 hrs. and the timing of the test will be from 10.00 AM to 12.00 Noon. For each question, four options of answers will be given and the candidate has to darken the appropriate bubble of correct answer in the answer sheet by using blue/black ballpoint pen only. Each question of this MCQ will carry one mark and there will be 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer. However, the question not attended will fetch zero marks. While darkening the correct answer, one must keep in mind that if an incorrect answer is darkened inadvertently and thereafter the correct answer also darkened by cancelling the earlier answer, negative mark will be given for such double attempt. Therefore, the candidate is suggested to darken the correct answer when he/she is sure. Candidates are not allowed to bring electronic gadgets including mobile phones in the examination hall.

B.Sc. Degree in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from NCHMCT-IGNOU; OR Bachelors Degree in Hotel Management from a recognized University and the Institute is approved by AICTE.

Candidates appearing in the final semester/final year exam (but passed all the papers in all earlier semesters/years) of the above said Degrees and able to submit their complete Bachelor’s Degree latest by 31st October 2020 can also apply.

Criteria for selection

Admission to the program will be based on merit in the joint entrance examination and choice of IHMs exercised by the candidates. After allotment of seats through direct admission process, if any, under the above mentioned category (Direction Admission) the left out seats will be filled through candidates appeared in JEE.

Interested candidates can apply online only through admission notification in our online admission portal www.thims.gov.in or through Council’s website www.nchm.nic.in Last date of online application is 17th April 2020. Candidates has to send print out of the filled in online application along with necessary fee (Rs.900/- for General/OBC Categories; Rs.700/- for EWS Category; and Rs.450/- for SC/ST/PD Categories) through a demand draft drawn in favour of NCHMCT payable at Noida or Delhi and other requirement documents, which should reach NCHMCT, Noida latest by 22nd April 2020. (iii) For admission to first year of B.Pharm, candidate must have passed (with/without grace) intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics/ Biology subject

(iv) For admission to first year of B. Arch., a candidate must have passed (with/without grace) intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with atleast 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also obtaining atleast 50% marks in aggregate of the qualifying examination OR passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject having obtained at least 50% marks in the aggregate.

(v) For admission to first year of BHMCT /BFAD /BFA/ MBA (Integrated)/B Voc/ B. Des, candidate must have passed (with/without grace) intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent and securing minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in aggregate.

3.2. ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR IN UPSEE-2020 FOR ADMISSION TO FIRST YEAR OF MBA/MCA

(i) For admission to first year of MBA in any institution affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow, a candidate must have passed (with/without grace) Bachelor’s degree course of three years minimum duration from any recognized Indian University; or its equivalent, recognized by A.I.U securing minimum 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) marks in aggregate.

(ii) For admission to first year of MCA in any institution affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow, a candidate must have passed (with/without grace) BCA/ B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. of three years minimum duration with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation Level from any recognized Indian University; or its equivalent, recognized by A.I.U. securing minimum 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) marks in aggregate.

(iii) For admission to first year of MBA/MCA in other Universities of U.P., a candidate must have passed (with/without grace) Bachelor degree course with the eligibility conditions given in following table on the website subject to the confirmation received from the concerned University.

3.3. ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR IN UPSEE-2020 FOR ADMISSION TO SECOND YEAR (LATERAL ENTRY) of B.Tech./B.Pharm./MCA

(i) Direct Admission in second year (Lateral Entry) of B.Arch./BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/B.Des./ MBA courses is not permissible.

(ii) Lateral entry in “B.Tech. for Engineering Diploma holders or B.Sc. Graduates with Mathematics as one of the subject at XII standard”/ “B.Pharm for Diploma holders” in third semester (second year)/ “MCA for Graduates of BCA or B.Sc.-Information Technology/Computer Science in third semester (second year)”, is open only in the institutions affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow. Candidate who have passed qualifying exam from other than Uttar Pradesh State and whose parents are not domicile of UP State are not eligible for direct admission to second year of B.Tech / B.Pharm./MCA (Lateral Entry).

(iii) Candidates who have passed (with/without grace) three years Engineering Diploma from an Institution located in U.P. with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) OR whose parents (Father or mother) are domicile of Uttar Pradesh and he/she has passed three years Engineering Diploma with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) recognized by the Board of Technical Education, U.P., in any branch of Engineering (except Agriculture Engg., Pharmacy and Architecture), are eligible for admission to Second year in any branch of Engineering /Technology.

(iv) Candidates who have passed (with/without grace) three years B.Sc. degree and passed XII standard with mathematics as one of the subject from any recognized University; securing minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate, are also eligible for admission to second year in any branch of Engineering/ Technology. These candidates shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with the candidates belonging to the Diploma stream. The candidates belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall clear the subjects Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing/Engineering Mechanics (as applicable in University Curriculum) of the first year Engineering programme along with the second-year subjects.

(v) Candidates who have passed (with/without grace) 2/3 years Diploma in Pharmacy from an Institution located in U.P. with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST)’ OR whose parents are domicile of U.P. and he/she has passed (with/without grace) 2/3 years Diploma in Pharmacy with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) recognized by the Board of Technical Education, U.P., are eligible for admission to second year of B.Pharm. only.

(vi) For Admission to 2nd year of MCA course (Lateral Entry), in any institution affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow, a candidate must have passed (with/without grace) Bachelor’s degree course of minimum three years duration in BCA, B.Sc (IT/ Computer Science) from any recognized Indian University; or its equivalent, recognized by A.I.U. securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate. The candidate must have passed Mathematics at 10+2 level or Graduation level.

3.4. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO NRI QUOTA IN FIRST YEAR

NRI candidates who possess minimum requisite qualification may get direct admission on 5% seats of total intake in State Funded and Private Institutions of Uttar Pradesh in all courses except MBA/MCA/. However, applicants opting B.Arch. course under this category must appear in Aptitude Test on the day of counseling to be notified later. The University shall fill the seats of NRI quota (5%) seats in the following manner:

(i) NRI quota seats shall be filled from NRIs who

(a) have passed (with/without grace) the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from an Institution situated outside India, which is considered equivalent to (10+2) examination by the Association of Indian Universities. OR have passed High School Certificate Education (GCE) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Higher Mathematics (A) from London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka.

(b) have appeared in SAT II examination with Mathematics level II C, Physics and Chemistry.

The relative merit of such cases will be decided on their SAT-II score.

(ii) The vacant seats in NRI quota, if any, shall be filled up by such son / daughter / real brother /real sister of NRIs, who have passed intermediate or (10+2) or equivalent examination; with physics, chemistry and mathematics and securing minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in physics, chemistry and mathematics taken together, from an institution situated in India.

(iii) The relative merit of candidates mentioned in (ii) will be decided based on the total marks obtained by them in physics, chemistry and mathematics. Such candidates need not appear in UPSEE-2020.

(iv) All such candidates MUST submit an NRI certificate obtained from Indian Diplomatic Mission / Chancellery / High Commission under their seal at the time of counseling.

(v) The candidate also MUST submit sufficient documents clarifying without ambiguity their true relationship with the sponsoring NRI to the satisfaction of the University.

(vi) The candidates will be informed separately about the date of counseling and number of seats under this quota. Candidates are required to be present in person on the day of counseling with original documents / certificates, failing which they will lose their claim.

(vii) The latest orders issued by Govt. of U.P. up to the date of NRI counseling shall be applicable for admission in NRI quota.

(viii) The detailed information will be published through News papers and websites: https://aktu.ac.in or www.upsee.nic.in in the month of May 2020.

3.5. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO FOREIGN NATIONALS (FN) / PERSONS OF INDIAN ORIGIN (PIO) / CHILDREN OF INDIAN WORKERS IN GULF COUNTRIES (CIWGC) IN FIRSTYEAR

FN/PIO/CIWGC seats shall be filled from Foreign Nationals / PIO's/CIWGC who:

1.    have passed the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, which is considered equivalent to (10+2)examination by the Association of Indian Universities.

2.    Should submit a copy of passport or equivalent evidence in support of their Nationality.

The relative merit of such cases will be based on their qualifying examination.

The latest orders issued by Govt. of U.P. up to the date of admission will be applicable in FN/PIO/CIWGC.

3.6. ELIGIBILITY FOR DIRECT ADMISSION TO FIRST YEAR IN PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS AT INSTITUTE LEVEL UNDER MANAGEMENT QUOTA (FOR NRI CANDIDATES) / VACANT SEATS AFTER COUNSELLING OF UPSEE-2020

(i) The 15% seats6 in private institutions shall be filled by the Management/ NRI quota at institute level under management quota as per eligibility criteria in clause 3.4. The vacant seats in NRI/Management quota or vacant seats after counselling of UPSEE-2020 shall be filled strictly in following preference order, within fifteen days of the last date of counselling:

(1) Firstly, by the qualified candidates of JEE (Main)-2020 fulfilling the eligibility as per clause 3.1 for B. Tech. / B.Arch. Their relative merit will be decided on their rank in respective entrance examinations.

(2) Secondly, by the qualified candidates of UPSEE-2020, who fulfill the eligibility as per clause 3.1. Their relative merit will be decided on their rank in UPSEE-2020.

(3) Thirdly, by the merit of candidates in qualifying examinations lay down by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi for admission to various programmes which are updated from time to time.

(ii) Institute shall ensure filling of these vacant seats inviting the applications through advertisement in at least two leading newspapers of the State level and Institute website, giving at least one-week time to submit the applications on the University Portal. Admissions shall be strictly based on clause 3.6(i) mentioned above. However, applicants opting B.Arch. course under this category must appear in Aptitude Test on the day of counselling to be notified later.

IN ANY CASE NO PRIVATE INSTITUTION IS ALLOWED TO GIVE ADMISSION IN MORE THAN 25% SEATS TO STUDENTS FROM STATE OTHER THAN UTTAR PRADESH

3.7. ELIGIBILITY FOR DIRECT ADMISSION (LATERAL ENTRY) TO SECOND YEAR IN PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS UNDER VACANT SEATS AFTER COUNSELLING OF UPSEE2020

The vacant seats in B. Tech./B.Pharm./MCA course after UPSEE-2020 counselling for lateral entry (second year) shall be filled within 15 days of the last date of counselling at institute level, firstly by the qualified candidates of UPSEE-2020, who fulfill the eligibility as per clause 3.3. Their relative merit will be decided on their rank in UPSEE-2020.

Thereafter, the vacant seats, if any, will be filled on merit by such candidates who have passed the qualifying examination securing minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST) for B. Tech./B.Pharm. and 50% (45% for SC/ST) for MCA marks in aggregate.

Institute shall ensure the filling of these seats by inviting the applications through advertisement in at least two leading newspapers of state and institute website and give at least one week time to submit the applications.

Application Form for UPSEE-2020 can be submitted On-Line only through website www.upsee.nic.in from 27th January 2020, 1400 hrs. The Last Date of filling and submitting the On-Line Application Form is 15th March 2020 2359 hrs.

HOW TO FILL AND SUBMIT THE ON-LINE APPLICATION FORM

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

The online application can be made from 02:00 PM, 27th Jan2020 till 05:00PM of 15th March 2020 through the website. The On-Line Application Form is self-explanatory. The On-Line application form submission consists of following three simple steps.

1. Registration (Filling up of Personal and other Details)

2. Uploading of Scanned Images of Photograph and Signature.

3. Payment of Examination Fee and Printing of the “Confirmation Page”

Before, a candidate starts filling the On-Line application Form, he/she must be ready with the following:

1. Personal Identity Document/Number.

2. A personal mobile phone number and a personal E-Mailid.

3. Photograph: A clear scanned image of his/her recent color passport size photograph (3.5cm X 4.5cm) in JPEG Format with a maximum size of 100 KB. The photograph must be front facing to the camera in a manner that full face shows. The back-ground should be either white or off-white and uncluttered. The photograph should be colour with name of the candidate printed on it as shown in the sketch below. It should be without cap or goggles. Spectacles are allowed. Candidates with unclear photograph are liable to be rejected. Candidates may keep 6-8 identical photographs in reserve for use at the time of entrance examination.

4. A clear scanned image of his/her signature (3.5 cm x 1.5 cm) in JPEG format with a maximum size of 30 KB

Eligibility:

Applicants for all IMT PGDM and MBA programs must have a minimum three-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 50 percent aggregate marks in any discipline. Applicants who are appearing for the final-year degree examination can also apply, subject to submission of all mark sheets and pass certificate to IMT’s Academic Program office at a later date. Failing to do so will result in admission being cancelled.

IMT Ghaziabad:

To apply for IMT Ghaziabad’s two year PGDM program, applicants must be registered for CAT-2019 OR XAT-2020 OR have taken/taking the GMAT (January 1, 2016 – February 28, 2020). In the case of the candidates applying on the basis of GMAT and score is not provided, processing of application will be provisional, subject to IMT receiving the official GMAT score on or before March 15, 2020.

IMT Nagpur and IMT Hyderabad:

To apply for IMT Nagpur and Hyderabad’s 2 year PGDM program, applicants must be registered for CAT-2019 OR XAT-2020 OR CMAT- January,2020*  OR have taken the GMAT (1st January 2016 – February 28, 2020). In case of the candidate(s) applying on the basis of GMAT and score is not provided, processing of application will be provisional, subject to IMT receiving the official GMAT score on or before March 15, 2020

Note: CMAT- January, 2020* test will be considered for IMT Nagpur and IMT Hyderabad Campus ONLY.

IMT shortlists applicants on basis of best score among the above mentioned tests.

IMT Dubai:

Applicants for the MBA program at IMT Dubai must have a full time undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s degree) from an accredited university with a CGPA of 3.0 and above on a 4.0 scale or 50% or equivalent.

Applicants whose native language is not English are required to take an English Proficiency Test. The minimum required score for TOEFL is 550 (paper-based) and 79(internet based) or an IELTS band of 6.0.

Submitting your application

To apply to IMT, an applicant must complete the online ‘Application Form’. There is one Common ‘Application Form’ for all four campuses – IMT Ghaziabad, IMT Nagpur, IMT Hyderabad and IMT Dubai (August 2020 intake).

In the ‘Application Form‘ the candidate must provide educational qualifications, contact details, etc. and at least one of the following: ID for CAT-2019 OR ID for XAT-2020 OR ID for GMAT OR Roll-No for CMAT- January 2020*. IMT Ghaziabad will be accepting CAT OR XAT OR GMAT scores. IMT Nagpur and Hyderabad will be accepting CAT OR XAT OR GMAT OR CMAT scores. The applicant is required to fill the IDs of the entire test score he/she wishes to submit.

Note: CMAT- January, 2020* test will be considered for IMT Nagpur and IMT Hyderabad Campus ONLY.

After completing the form, the applicant can make payment through Credit/Debit card or Net Banking:

Pay directly through Credit/Debit card or Net Banking: If the payment goes through and Application Number is generated, the application is considered submitted. Applicants will receive a confirmation email within the next 24 – 48 hours.

Short-listing of applicants for Personal Interview process (PI): This year, applicants may submit any one of test scores: CAT-2019 OR XAT-2020 OR GMAT (1st January 2016 – February 28, 2020) OR CMAT – January, 2020 (Nagpur & Hyderabad only) score. Applicants can submit more than one test score. GMAT test based candidates are required to update their test score, on or before March 15, 2020. For candidates applying on the basis of GMAT with pending scores, the processing of application will be provisional. IMT will consider the best score before making the final admit offer.

Applicants will be short-listed for Personal Interview round on the basis of one of the following test score available CAT 2019 OR XAT 2020 OR GMAT OR CMAT – January, 2020 (Nagpur & Hyderabad campus) at this stage.

Applicants will be called for Personal Interview process only once. The candidates who have applied on the basis of more than one test score, the best score of such candidates shall be taken into the consideration at the time of Admission Offer. Please note that the Personal Interview process is common for all campuses.

Short-listed applicants will be called for the Personal Interview round at the center/venue they have selected/will select in Common ‘Application Form‘ and on the date and time which they will select through the Personal Interview Schedule Form, which will be available on IMT’s Admissions Portal and enabled for specific time period in the month of January 2020.

Admissions Decision:

Admission decisions will be made after the Personal Interview process and admission offers will be made to the selected applicants.
