About College:

The University of Calcutta was established by an Act of the Legislative Council (Act No II of 1857) of the then British India. A supplementary Act empowering the University to confer some additional degrees was passed in 1860. Another Act was passed in 1884 by which the University was authorised to confer honorary Degree of Law.The University Act of 1904 empowered the University to make necessary arrangements for the instruction of students, and though most of the teaching continued to be imparted in the affiliated colleges, teaching in some of the higher branches began to be organised under the University management.The Calcutta University Act, 1951, which came into operation from March, 1954 brought about important changes in the constitution and character of the University. The Act provided for Postgraduate teaching in some of the affiliated colleges along with the University Colleges. The Calcutta University Act, 1966 was passed with a view to providing for the reorganisation of the University that came into force on September 18, 1968.The University is now being governed by the Calcutta University Act, 1979 as amended up to 31 May, 2006. The Act provided for the reconstitution of the University to enable it to function more efficiently in the fields of teaching, training and research in various branches of learning and courses of study and extending higher education to meet the growing needs of the society and to make the constitution of various authorities and bodies of the University more democratic.

Online: For those who are filling up the form online, must fill in the application form, pay the non-refundable fees for application and test with credit or debit card (or demand draft in favour of Tolani Maritime Institute payable at Pune) and then send the printout of the same along proof of transaction details or demand draft to TMI.

Offline: Application forms will be available at TMI Induri with the payment of Rs. 300 by cash, pay order or demand draft. About College:

Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), a unique institution devoted to the research, teaching and application of statistics, natural sciences and social sciences. Founded by Professor P.C. Mahalanobis in Kolkata on 17th December, 1931, the institute gained the status of an Institution of National Importance by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1959.

About College:

Apparel Training & Design Centre (ATDC) has emerged as India’s Largest Vocational Training Network for the Apparel Sector with over 150 ATDCs including 25 ATDC Vocational Institutes and over 150 ATDC- SMART Peripatetic Centres and Skill Camps at present in major Apparel clusters spread across 20 states PanIndia.

ATDC’s National Head Office at "PARIDHAN VIKAS BHAWAN" in Sector-44, Gurgaon manages and monitors the activities of the Pan-India network of ATDC Vocational Institute & Centres and also over sees implementation of the SMART Project. The new building was inaugurated by the Secretary Textiles, MOT, GOI on 22nd November, 2010. 

ATDC’s aim is to train skilled workforce for the rapidly growing export and domestic sectors of the Apparel Industry and upgrade the technical skills to improve quality, productivity and efficiency in a global context. In ATDCs journey of “Skilling the Apparel Sector” it now has the largest network of 25 ATDC Vocational Institutes offering Certificate, Diploma & Associate Degree Programmes and over 150 ATDC-SMART Centres & Skill Camps offering 1-4 months Certificate Programmes under its banner. ATDC plans to expand to a total of 250 ATDC SMART Peripatetic Centres, under the ISD Scheme in the ensuing 2-3 years.
