About College:

NITIE Alumni Association (NAA) has been functioning to maintain the alumni relations of NITIE amongst the past students. Maintaining a strong alumni relations program is essential to the growth and development of our institute. With this motive in mind, the Executive Committee of the NAA has approved a proposal to create a Corpus Fund from the Alumni of NITIE. 

The donations will be accepted for both specific projects and general purposes. General contributions will be credited to the corpus fund. The management of the fund will be looked after by a committee chaired by the director and comprising of two senior faculty members and two representatives of Alumni. 

To ensure that the alumni of NITIE continues to be closely knit, NAA organizes Regional Alumni Meets every year to facilitate better interaction amongst the alumni and to strengthen their links with the institution. 
Last year we had the Chennai alumni meet at the picturesque Buena Vista beach resort at Neelangarai beach. Despite a heavy downpour, games like beach football and Housie were played followed by an elaborate two hour lunch. 

The Bangalore alumni meet of NITIE was held on 22nd of May at Taj Gateway. A lot of fruitful discussions took place about the recent happenings in NITIE and the changes that have taken place in the last 3 years. 
The Delhi alumni meet of NITIE was held on 15th of May at West End Inn. Mr. A Srinivasan from IE 1 batch also attended the meet and shared the genesis of NITIE. The star attraction of the meet was Dumb Charades wherein M/s. Akhilesh Tuteja and Avatar Mahajan won a lot of goodies. 

The Kolkatta meet was held on 29th May, the venue being the Taj Park Street. The alumni caught up with the status quo at NITIE regarding placements, infrastructure, faculty etc. Other cultural activities were also conducted. 

Yet another initiative by the NITIE students to strengthen bonds with the alumni is the monthly newsletter titled ???Lakeside Musings??? meant exclusively for private circulation among the alumni. 

The alumni committee expresses its deep gratitude to the distinguished alumni for their affection and co-operation in organizing/participating in the meets and for their wonderful appreciation of the newsletters.

Established in 1993, Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development started its functioning as an institute specialized in Human Resource Development from Atur Centre in Model colony, Pune. IIT Bombay, the second in the chain of IITs, was set up in 1958.  It was the first IIT to be set up with foreign assistance.  The funds came from UNESCO in roubles from the Soviet Union.  In 1961, the Parliament decreed IITs as 'Institutes of National Importance'.  Since then, IIT Bombay has grown from strength to strength to emerge as one of the top technical universities in the world.

IIT Bombay has a total of 14 academic departments, six centres, one school, and three interdisciplinary programmes.  It is recognised worldwide as a leader in the field of engineering education and research.  It is reputed for the quality of its faculty and the outstanding calibre of students graduating from its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The Shipping Corporation of India was established on October 2nd, 1961, by the amalgamation of Eastern Shipping Corporation and Western Shipping Corporation.
Starting out as a marginal Liner shipping Company with just 19 vessels, the SCI has today evolved into the largest Indian shipping Company. Course Fees 

The fees for training are Rs.450000/- for both male and female candidates; candidate will pay fees to the Maritime Training Institute (MTI), Powai 

Fees once paid are not refundable at any stage either in full or part. Consolidated stipend of Rs.15000/- per month will be paid to candidates for structured shipboard training. No stipend will be paid to candidates during shore based training 

Medical Standard 

Candidate must have good health and be fit for sea service as per existing MS Medical rules 2000/MLC 2006 applicable to seafarers 

Selection Procedure 

Eligible candidates will be required to appear in the All India on line test at their own expenses and only candidates qualifying in the online test will be called for Personal Interview in the ratio of 1:3. (3 candidates called against 1 vacancy) keeping the provision of reservation for SC/ST/OBC

Exam Pattern 

The online exam shall be of two (02) hours duration, which will be in the form of multiple choice questions (MCQs). The on-line exam will focus on MCQ’s on Quantitative Aptitude test, Professional Knowledge test, English Language test and Reasoning Ability test 

The questions of the test will be bilingual (English and Hindi). Candidate MUST PASS in each of the objective tests to qualify for personnel interview 

The passing Marks in each test will be decided on the basis of the performance of all the competing candidates in each test 

Test Centre 

The on-line examination will be held at Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai only. Candidates will have to choose a test centre, nearest from their home town and the same cannot be changed after the form is submitted online

FILM AND TELEVISION INSTITUTE OF INDIA

Established as 'Film Institute of India' in 1960 on the erstwhile Prabhat Studio premises at Pune, FTII boasts of a rich legacy in quality Indian cinema. The Prabhat Studios were declared heritage sites by the Pune Municipal Corporation and are used by the students to this day. The Institute was renamed 'The Film and Television Institute of India' in 1971. The Television Wing, earlier located at the Mandi House, New Delhi was shifted to Pune in the early seventies, bringing together the training in film and television under a common roof. At its inception in 1974, the Television wing was concerned with the provision of in-service training to personnel from Doordarshan. This Wing has in recent years launched a one-year course in Television.

The Institute has come a long way from its humble beginnings. Today, the FTII is commonly regarded as a center of excellence across the world. Films made by the students of the Institute have enjoyed excellent receptions in festivals in India and abroad and have gone on to win National and International awards.  The alumni of the FTII have left an indelible imprint across all facets of Indian Cinema and television and have built an excellent reputation in its allied industries.

The FTII is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India. Its policies are determined by a Governing Council. The latter appoints the director of the institute.

For PG Diploma Course in Acting: Candidates applying for PG Diploma course in Acting at Pune FTII need to attend a written examination of 3 hour duration for 100 marks. If you qualify this test, you have to attend an audition and the result 1 will be announced. Based on this result, the candidates will be called for orientation, interview and a medical test. The result 2 will be announced based on the performance at orientation and interview. The final result will be prepared on the basis of result 1, result 2 and medical test 

For PG course in Television: A candidate who wish to join PG course in Television at Pune FTII must attend a written examination of 3 hour duration for 100 marks. Actually, this exam doesn't carry any weightage for further admission process and it is meant only for qualifying in nature. Qualified candidates will be called for an orientation and interview and thereafter the final result will be prepared on the basis of a medical test also

IIT Bombay, the second in the chain of IITs, was set up in 1958.  It was the first IIT to be set up with foreign assistance.  The funds came from UNESCO in roubles from the Soviet Union.  In 1961, the Parliament decreed IITs as 'Institutes of National Importance'.  Since then, IIT Bombay has grown from strength to strength to emerge as one of the top technical universities in the world.

About College:

AIT was founded in August 1994, as a result of the vision, and untiring efforts of Gen B.C Joshi PVSM, AVSM, ADC.The Institute was inaugurated by Gen S.Roy Chaudhary PVSM, ADC on 24th Feb, 1995.The beautiful campus, serene ambience and architectural splendor,state of the art infrastructure, all provide vital ingredients for a delectable academic environment for development of total quality engineers.

The first batch of BE students graduated in 1998 with flying colours.The succeeding batches continue to excel in all fields-be it sports,cultural or academics.And this tradition of excellence promises to remain unfizzed with every new batch coming to the Institution.

The Institute obtained accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in May 2007 and reaccreditation for three departments and first time for IT Dept is being taken up from 18 to 20 Jan 2016 and was awarded ISO 9001:2000 Certification for quality Management and administration in Aug 2005 and re-certification in Aug 2008 and Feb 2016.

Children of serving/retired Army personnel are eligible. The parent should have completed minimum 10 years of service in the Army. Detailed eligibility criteria will be published in the Prospectus being made available in February 2018

Educational Qualification

Class XII or equivalent (appeared or passed) with compulsory subjects as Physics and Mathematics alongwith one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject (as per criteria for appearing for JEE(Main) 2018 

Age Limit
The candidate must fulfill the age criteria requirements as per JEE (Main) 2018

Selection Procedure

Admission is purely based on All India Rank obtained in Joint Entrance Exam (Main) JEE (Main) 2018 which is generally conducted on the first Sunday of April 2018. Online application for JEE (Main) will open during Dec 2017 on website www.jeemain.nic.in (Refer information bulletin, JEE Main 2018 for details)

Online application will open on 15th March 2018 on website www.aitpune.com. Roll Number (Exam seat number printed on Admission Ticket of JEE(Main) is required to be entered in the AIT online application form. AIT Prospectus 2018 will be available on website from01st February 2018

Application Fee of Rs.975/- (including processing charges) can be paid through credit/debit card or net-banking
