Eligibility:

Graduate in Science, Engineering, Technology, Commerce and Arts from UGC recognized University / Diploma from recognized technical board in Engineering / Technology are eligible for the course. Candidates should have minimum one year Industrial Experience in the operational areas like Production, Purchase, Marketing, Quality Control etc.

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is the premier R&D organization of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Ministry of Communications & Information Technology (MCIT) for carrying out R&D in IT, Electronics and associated areas.  Different areas of C-DAC, had originated at different times, many of which came out as a result of identification of opportunities. NITIE Alumni Association (NAA) has been functioning to maintain the alumni relations of NITIE amongst the past students. Maintaining a strong alumni relations program is essential to the growth and development of our institute. With this motive in mind, the Executive Committee of the NAA has approved a proposal to create a Corpus Fund from the Alumni of NITIE. The donations will be accepted for both specific projects and general purposes. General contributions will be credited to the corpus fund. The management of the fund will be looked after by a committee chaired by the director and comprising of two senior faculty members and two representatives of Alumni.

To ensure that the alumni of NITIE continues to be closely knit, NAA organizes Regional Alumni Meets every year to facilitate better interaction amongst the alumni and to strengthen their links with the institution. Last year we had the Chennai alumni meet at the picturesque Buena Vista beach resort at Neelangarai beach. Despite a heavy downpour, games like beach football and Housie were played followed by an elaborate two hour lunch.

Eligibility 

Institute uses CAT 2018 (Common Admission Test) scores for shortlisting/selecting the candidates for PGDIM and PGDISEM programmes. The candidates should follow the CAT 2018 advertisement of IIMs. However, IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of NITIE Programmes.

ELIGIBILITY & SELECTION:

INDIAN STUDENTS

Engineering/Technology graduates in any branch with aggregate* 60% marks (relaxation of 5% in case of SC/ST/PwD (Persons with disabilities) candidates) and a valid CAT score. The reservation of seats exists for SC/ST/OBC-NC (Non-Creamy) and PwD candidates as per Govt. of India rules.

Final year Engineering/Technology candidates can also apply, provided they qualify the above criteria for exams appeared till date. Students appearing for final year exams in 2019 will be permitted to submit their result by September 30, 2019. Their admission will stand cancelled in case they fail to meet the qualifying requirements.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion & Personal Interview at NITIE, Mumbai.

SC/ST candidates are granted Central Sector Scholarship as per the scheme of Govt. of India vide letters No.11016/19/2005.SCD-1 dated 21.06.2007 & No.19012/36/-5-Education dated 27.06.2007 subject to the satisfactory fulfillment of terms and conditions mentioned therein.

Sponsored Seats: Seats are available for Sponsored Candidates in PGDISEM. Sponsored Candidates must be from reputed Industrial Organization/Academic Institution. The Candidates must have aggregate* 60% marks in Engineering/Technology with two years of full time work experience as on last date of submission of application as prescribed. CAT score is not required for sponsored candidates. However they are required to attend a written test and Personal interview to be conducted at the institute. ELIGIBILITY & SELECTION:

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

15% of the approved intake (in supernumerary quota) will be reserved for international students in each programme offered by NITIE. Entry level qualification shall be at par with that of Indian students as specified above and the candidates should have a valid GMAT score. Foreign candidate should have a valid TOEFL or IELTS score. All the candidates are required to have a minimum of 18 (eighteen) months of stay at overseas countries as on last date of submission of application as prescribed. All international candidates must submit a SOP (Statement of Purpose) and two LORs (Letters of Recommendations) in soft copy. Shortlisted candidates should attend the interview along with Indian students; if not feasible, there is an option for interview through video conferencing.

For calculating the aggregate, all semesters’ marks/SGPA/percentage shall be averaged.

Age Limit: Candidate should be 23 years or less in age at the time of appearing for the Bachelors Admission Test, as on May 10, 2019. Applications from candidates over this age will not be entertained.

General Instructions about applying:

APPLICATION PROCESS

Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria should apply for the programme only through an online process by visiting the admissions link on the TISS website on or before March 20, 2019.

Candidates will enter the online application process by giving their authentic email id. To this email with a link to set a password and access the application.

Candidates are expected to use the same email id and password for the entire process till the completion of the admission process.

Candidates will have an option to fill the form and complete the processes entirely at one go or fill partially and save the form for completion before the due date.

Candidates are encouraged to complete the process at the earliest and not delay the process of online submission till the final date.

Candidates are expected to give their preference for one centre only in the online application. This preference cannot be changed through a phone call or email or in person.

Application fees of Rs. 1025 for General and OBC candidates and for eligible candidates (SC/ ST and OBC (NC) family income less than 2.5lakhs and OBC-NC candidates with income less than 1 lakh) the fees would be Rs. 250 + bank charges can be paid online through Credit card/ Debit Card/ Online transaction. Other SC/ST candidates family income more than 2.5 lakes the application fee would be Rs. 500/- 
Candidates applying online will be asked to choose between two modes of payment 'Cash' or 'Payment Gateway' in the online application form. If the preferred mode of payment is 'Cash', a payment challan has to be downloaded from the 'Download Challan' tab. Deposit the cash amount mentioned on the challan in any branch of State Bank of India. The bank will return two copies of the challan copy (Student Copy and TISS Copy) with the bank’s seal, signature and journal number on it. Candidates have to then scan the 'TISS Copy' of the challan, login back to the online application system and upload it.

It is well known that the Cooperative Movement envisaged to provide answers to the problems of rural credit in India, owes its origin to the sponsorship of Government. Beginning with Sir Fredrick Nicholson's Report in 1885 on the issue of training to the Cooperative leadership entrusted with the duty of building up the Cooperative Movement, has always been emphasized. But, it was not until 1945 that the Saraiya Committee on Cooperative Planning recommended the establishment of a CooperativeTraining College at the State level and Central level. Eligibility

i)             Any graduate from a recognized University, with minimum education of 15 years (10+2+3) full time with atleast 50% marks for the General / OBC (non creamy) candidates and 45% marks for SC / ST candidates in Graduation.

The Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, (DIAT) as it is known today, came into being as the Institute of Armament Studies in 1952 in the CME campus. In 1967, the Institute was renamed as "Institute of Armament Technology, (IAT)", which moved to its present location at Girinagar, Pune. From the relatively narrow scope of Armament Studies alone in the Fifties, the role of the Institute was considerably enlarged by the Defence R&D Council in 1964 and further in 1981. On the basis of accreditation by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Pune University recognised eight courses for the award of ME degree in 1980. In the year 2000, the Institute acquired the status of a Deemed University. IAT has been renamed as DIAT w.e.f. 1st April 2006.

Eligibility:

a) Qualification  

·         A candidate, seeking admission to the Ph.D. program, shall be required to have passed the qualifying examination securing at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/DGPA. A relaxation of 5 % of marks may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non creamy-layer) / PWD - (Divyang) categories. The qualifying degrees are:-

a)    Master of Engineering/Master of Technology (or equivalent) for Ph.D. in Engineering/Science.

b)    Master in Science (M.Sc. or equivalent) for Ph.D. in Science.

·         A candidate who has passed the qualifying examination with the requisite percentage of marks as prescribed above and who fulfill the following requirement may be considered for admission to the Ph.D. programme:-

a)    Qualified in a national level test such as, CSIR/UGC NET (Fellowship), Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE), Rajiv Gandhi National fellowship, subject wise and category wise GATE/NET (Fellowship) cut off will be decided by DIAT.

b) Age limit:

Not above 30 years as on 22nd Nov 2018. Relaxations as per GOI rules apply to SC / ST / OBC / PH applicants.

Note:  

·         The Institute shall implement the reservation policy in Ph.D. admission in accordance with relevant act of Parliament being in-force from the time.  

·         A physically Handicapped SC/ST/OBC candidate shall not get double benefit of being an SC/ST/OBC as also a PWD candidate.

Selection:

Admission to Ph.D. will be based on the performance in the entrance exam (written test) conducted by the department concerned followed by a personal interview.

Financial Assistance:

a)    The selected Ph.D. candidates against this admission notice, admitted as full-time Ph.D. students will be provided financial assistance as per Institute rules, in force from time to time. The Ph.D. students (who are provided Institute fellowship) will be required to assist in research and teaching activities for a maximum of 10 hours per week in addition to their own duties.

b)    In addition to the Ph.D. scholarship, such candidates would also be entitled for contingency grant (presently Rs. 15,000/- per year) in accordance with the decisions of the Institute.

Boarding / Lodging:

Accommodation and mess facilities are available in the PhD Scholar Hostel on payment basis. However, due to very limited rooms in the Hostel, it may or may not possible to provide Hostel accommodation to all the students. The present monthly charges towards boarding and lodging are Rs. 7000/- (subject to revision).However, Rs. 40,000/- is to be deposited at the beginning of each Semester towards lodging and boarding charges, in advance. A security deposit of Rs. 10,000/- would need to be paid to Hostel Office.

Course Fee and Other Charges: Selected candidates for the Ph.D programmes are required to pay Semester Fee @ Rs. 25,000/- per semester (for Gen & OBC) and @ Rs. 15,000/- (for SC & ST) payable immediately on joining and a caution deposit (refundable at the end of the Programme less dues if any) of Rs. 10,000/-, commencing from January 2019

General Information:

·         Since the applications may be short listed, mere possessing of the prescribed qualifications would not entitle a person to be called for test/interview.
