National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra (founded as Regional Engineering College, Kurukshetra) is a premier technical Institute in the region. Educational Qualification:

Al the candidates interested in taking admissions must possess a Master's degree in Technology/ Engineering/ Architecture/ Planning/ Humanities and Social Science/ Management/ Science or any other equivalent qualification from a recognised university/ institute.

The candidates should have minimum 60 percent or 6.5/ 10 Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA) / Cumulative Performing Index (CPI) at Master's degree level for admission to the Ph.D programmes of the institute.

Selection procedure:

National Institute Of Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar), an Institute of National Importance under the NIT Act was established in 1967 as a Regional Engineering College (REC), Silchar. NIT Silchar is situated on the banks of river Barak. In the year 2002, it was upgraded to the status of an NIT from a Regional Engineering College(REC).

Regional Engineering College, Silchar was established in 1967 as a joint venture of Government of India and Government of Assam under the administration of a society registered under Society Registration Act XXI of 1860. The college was transformed into National Institute of Technology in the year 2002, and bestowed with the status of Deemed University by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development.

The multifarious reforms -that are being introduced from then by the reformed Board of Governors, delegated with a greater degree of autonomy for exercising its deliberation over diverse issues pertaining to cardinal matters ranging from academic to extracurricular excellence, are bringing about a tangible difference in the rudimentary paradigm of achieving a high standard in engineering education.

National Institute Of Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar), an Institute of National Importance under the NIT Act was established in 1967 as a Regional Engineering College (REC), Silchar. NIT Silchar is situated on the banks of river Barak. In the year 2002, it was upgraded to the status of an NIT from a Regional Engineering College(REC).

Regional Engineering College, Silchar was established in 1967 as a joint venture of Government of India and Government of Assam under the administration of a society registered under Society Registration Act XXI of 1860. The college was transformed into National Institute of Technology in the year 2002, and bestowed with the status of Deemed University by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development.

The multifarious reforms -that are being introduced from then by the reformed Board of Governors, delegated with a greater degree of autonomy for exercising its deliberation over diverse issues pertaining to cardinal matters ranging from academic to extracurricular excellence, are bringing about a tangible difference in the rudimentary paradigm of achieving a high standard in engineering education.

Identified as a Centre of Excellence by the Government of India, the institute is reinventing itself to crush the competition from its cotemporaries in various domains. Eligibility:

Bachelor degree in Science/Humanities/Technology or equivalent in an appropriate area, with at least 50% marks or 5.5 in CPI/CGPA

A relaxation of 5% or 0.5 in CGPA/CPI on a 10 point scale may be extended to the candidate belonging to SC/ST/PwD category

A valid CAT/MAT/CMAT score (2017 score only acceptable)

Students appearing at their final year graduation examination may also apply

Step-2: Performance in group discussion

Step-3: Performance in personal interview

Applicants satisfying minimum eligibility criteria will be called for group discussion and personal interview

If the number of applicants are found reasonably high, department may set an elimination stage after group discussion

In all other cases, final selection will be based on academic career and score of prescribed entrance examination, performance in group discussion and personal interview

The non-refundable processing fee for NIMCET-2017 test and counseling for admission to the MCA program is Rs. 2000/- for OPEN/OBC category and Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST category candidates.

Paper Pattern for NIMCET 2017:

The duration of NIMCET-2017 examination is two hours.

All rough work is to be done in the test booklet only. The candidate should not do any rough work or put any stray marks on the OMR sheet.

NIMCET-2017 test will be conducted with only one question paper containing 120 multiple choice questions covering the following subjects.

The minimum eligibility criterion is B.Tech degree in any branch of engineering with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA. Applicants who have qualified in reputed national or international tests for admission to Business Schools and secured high scores will get preference.

If sufficient applicants are not available, seats under OBC and PH categories may be filled up by general category applicants.

The candidates appearing B.Tech (final semester) examination may also apply for the above course. However, they have to produce their mark/grade sheet showing 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 in aggregate latest by 30th September 2013, failing which their admission will stand cancelled. Such students, at the time of admission, must produce a certificate signed by the Principal or Registrar of the College last attended stating that all examinations including practical necessary for award of the degree have been completed in order to be eligible for admission in the prescribed format, to be uploaded along with the selection list.

Applicants are not required to send hard copy of the application form or any other document to NIT Rourkela.
