About College:

The National Institute of Technology, Durgapur (formerly Regional Engineering College, Durgapur), was established by an Act of Parliament in 1960 as one of the eight such colleges aimed to function as a pace setter for engineering education in the country and to foster national integration.It is a fully-funded premier Technological Institution of the Government of India and is administered by an autonomous Board of Governors. The Institute is a University which awards B.Tech., M.C.A., M.Sc., M.B.A.,M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees to students after their successful completion of the specified courses. The Institute imparts education in the disciplines of Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering,Information Technology, Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Environmental science, Materials Science and Management Studies.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) Full Time Admission 2019- 21

Eligibility:

Candidate graduated or in final year of graduation in 2019 can apply for MBA program of NIT Durgapur for the session 2019-2021 provided he/she fulfils the following conditions:

·         Having CAT score from CAT held in November, 2018.

·         Having at least 60% of total marks in both 10th and 12th standard board examinations.

·         Having overall final score in Graduation as follows:

A candidate appearing for final year graduation examination can apply for admission to the MBA course 2019-21, but he/she has to submit the graduation final year result at the time of admission, failure of which will lead to cancellation of candidature.

Merit list for admission will be made as following for each category.

·         Weightage of CAT score: 75%

·         Weightage of GD: 10%

·         Weightage of PI: 15%

Place of GD and PI: Durgapur and Kolkata.

How to Apply:

APPLICATION FEES:

·         Amount payable for SC and ST candidate is Rs 650.

·         Amount payable for General, EWS and OBC candidate is Rs 1250.

·         Application fees can ONLY be paid through NET Banking or through NEFT from Banks.

The application form without Transaction ID/Unique Transaction Reference (UTR) number, and payment proof of Rs 1250/- (Rs 650/- for SC/ ST) will not be accepted.

APPLICATION PROCESS

STEP 1: Pay the application fees through NET Banking or through NEFT from Bank to the Canara Bank Account, NIT, Durgapur (as per the information given above in bank details).

STEP 2: Collect the Transaction ID/ Unique Transaction Reference number as generated in NET banking or from the bank where NEFT is done.

STEP 3: Register online at the link provided in the website of NIT, Durgapur, and fill the form online.

Fill up all the fields as applicable, and upload a recent passport size photo. Enter the CAT percentile (score from CAT held in November, 2018), and Transaction ID/ Unique Transaction Reference (UTR) number (for the application fees paid).

STEP 4: Upload scanned copy of all documents [document pertaining to date of birth; mark sheets & pass certificates of 10th board examination, 12th board examination, Graduation examination, Masters degree examination (if applicable); EWS/Schedule Caste/Scheduled Tribe/OBC/PH documents; CAT score; application fees payment details; job experience documents (if applicable)].

STEP 5: Submit application form online.

STEP 6: Take a printout of the application form submitted online.

STEP 7: Send the printout of the completely filled application form along with the self attested photocopies of all documents as stated above to the following address by speed post:
