Categories of Ph. D. Students:

The Institute shall admit Ph. D students under the following categories:

II Sponsored (part-time): Employees from Industries, Corporate Houses, Research and Development (R&D) Organizations and Faculties of Senior Colleges with minimum working experience of 5 years, out of which 2 years should be from the current organization, will be eligible for applying to the Sponsored (Part Time) Ph.D. Programme. Candidates are not entitled to receive any fellowship or other financial assistance from Institute.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission into Ph. D. Programme:

A. For Full Time Scholars: Master’s degree in Engineering/ Science/ Technology/ Humanities and Social Sciences/ Management Sciences/ or Master’s degree in the allied subjects with consistently good academic record and a minimum of 60% (55% in case of Humanities and Social Sciences) marks or an equivalent CGPA in the Master’s degree. Candidates with B.E. / B. Tech. with an aggregate of 75% marks or equivalent GPA with valid GATE score will also be eligible.

B. For Sponsored (Part Time Scholars): Master’s degree in Engineering/ Science/ Technology/ Humanities and Social Sciences/ Management Sciences/ or Master’s degree in the allied subjects with consistently good academic record and a minimum of 60% (55% in case of Humanities and Social Sciences) marks or an equivalent CGPA in the Master’s degree. Candidates with B.E. / B. Tech. with an aggregate of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA are eligible. Candidate’s age should not be more than 58. A certificate/declaration of sponsorship from the sponsoring body must be submitted by the applicant at the time of applying for application and admission process.

Relaxation for SC/ST/PWD Candidates:

Eligibility criteria will be relaxed by 5% marks or 0.5 CGPA for SC/ST/PWD category applicants as per GOI Norms.

Selection Procedure:

Eligible candidates may be required to appear for a written test in respect of his/ her discipline. Shortlisted candidates based on performance in the written test will be called for interview. Both written test and interview may be completed on the same day. It may be extended for one more day based on the number of candidates appearing for interview.

The stage II of TAPMI Admissions process consists of Written Ability Test (WAT) followed by a Group Discussion (GD) followed by Personal Interview (PI).

Written Ability Test (WAT): TAPMI conducts WAT to evaluate written capabilities of prospective students. WAT aims to evaluate Articulation and Technical (Grammar and Spellings) of the applicant.

Group Discussions (GD): Group Discussions aims to evaluate ability of the applicant to interact within a group. GD aims at evaluating applicant’s skills in the area of Leadership, Problem Solving, Solution Orientation, Persuasion and Communication. Topics for GD will be based on current affairs/ issues debated in last five years.

Personal Interview (PI): TAPMI’s objective for conducting personal interview is to understand the applicant’s attitude towards management education. To ensure the same TAPMI will be conducting Behavioural Personal Interview. TAPMI will evaluate applicant’s ability in terms of Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Leadership and Communication.

Final Selection

The foundation of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University (originally known as Agra University) was laid on the 1st of July, 1927, as a result of hectic efforts of a band of enthusiastic educationists like Rev. Canon A.W. Davis, Munshi Narain Prasad Asthana, Dr L.P. Mathur, Lala Dewan Chand, Rai Bahadur Anand Swaroop and Dr Brajendra Swaroop,. 3. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO PH.D. PROGRAMME:

Subject to the conditions stipulated in the Ordinances, the following persons shall be eligible to seek admission to the Ph.D. programme:

3.1 Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. programme shall have a Master's degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body of the University, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a

foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions.

3.2 A relaxation of 5% of marks (without including the grace), from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade shall be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer)/Divyang and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the State Government from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master's degree prior to 19th September, 1991.

3.3 Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. Course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and successfully completing the M.Phil. Degree shall be eligible to proceed to do research work leading to the Ph. D. Degree in the University as an integrated programme. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, shall be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission/State Govt. from time to time.

3.4 A candidate whose M.Phil. Dissertation has been evaluated and the viva voce is pending may be admitted to the Ph.D. programme of the University, subject to his final result.

3.5 Candidates possessing a Degree considered equivalent to M.Phil. Degree of an Indian Institution, from a Foreign Educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to Ph.D. programme.

3.6 For Ph.D Degree in Allied subjects, candidate must have Master’s degree (as defend in 3.1) in the subject relevant to the prospered research work.

About Us:

The establishment of Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University was the culmination of efforts during the period, 1955 to 2006 to strengthen   education and services in the fields of Veterinary Science, Dairy Technology and Fishery Science in the State of Andhra Pradesh.  The establishment of three Veterinary Colleges, the first at Rajendranagar during 1946, the second at Bapatla during 1955 and the third at Gannavaram during 1998, paved the way for strengthening Veterinary education in the State.  The Veterinary College at Bapatla was shifted to Tirupati during December, 1957. The College of Fishery Science was started at Muthukur, Nellore Dt. during 1991.  The College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati celebrated Golden Jubilee Year during July, 2004 to July 2005 and the year long Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the College were officially inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Dr.Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on 30th September 2004.  On that occasion, the Chief Minister, while highlighting the importance of livestock and aqua farming in the overall economy of the state, announced the establishment of Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University at Tirupati.

Eligibility:

Qualification for Admission: Candidates seeking admission into any of the following Master’s Degree Courses must have passed the relevant Bachelor’s Degree Exam specified against each course from Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University /ANGR Agricultural University or an institution accredited by ICAR/VCI

M.F.Sc

·         B.F.Sc of 4 years duration from State Agricultural Universities

·         In the above qualifying exam, the candidates must have secured minimum OGPA of 6.00/10.00 for General category (for SC/ST/PH-5.00/10.00) or 2.50/4.00 for General category (2.00/4.00 in case of SC/ST/PH) or 60% marks in traditional system (for SC/ST/PH-55%)

·         Only residents of AP/Telangana are eligible for admission except in case of ICAR Quota

·         Candidates with PG qualification are eligible for admission into second PG Program, however, such candidates are not eligible for any stipend

·         Candidates who are already prosecuting MFSc degree program are eligible to apply for PG admission

Age Criteria

The upper age limit is 40 years as on 01st July 2018

Selection Process

·         The selection of the candidates shall be based on the previous academic record (B.V.Sc & A.H) -30%, performance in PG Entrance Test- (70%).

·         The entrance test of 2 (two) hours duration shall be comprehensive one, covering all relevant subjects prescribed for the concerned Bachelor degree requirements of this University as per VCI MSVE-2008 Regulations

·         The Entrance Exam paper contains only 200 multiple choice questions. The candidates have to mark answers by darkening circles on OMR sheet. The candidates getting 40% or more marks in entrance test only are eligible for admission. However, in case of SC/ST/PH candidates, there are no minimum qualifying marks and candidates are admitted to the extent of seats reserved for them. SC/ST/PH candidates claiming seats under general category have to obtain at least 40% marks in the entrance test

·         Note: In case of a tie, marks secured in Entrance Test, OGPA of BVSc & AH and finally date of birth in that order shall be considered to break the tie

·         Information about the qualifying candidates in entrance test cum merit list will be displayed on University Website on 11th January 2019

The downloaded and duly filled in downloaded application along with attested copies of required certificates and copy of the counterfoil of Registration Fee paid @ Rs.1100/-, (Rs.550/- in case of SC/ST/PH candidates) exclusive of commission charges of Bank through online preferably in Andhra Bank or any Nationalized bank favouring COMPTROLLER, SVVU, payable at Andhra Bank, Thummalagunta branch, Tirupati, Account No:209810100016530, IFSC Code: ANDB0002098 having UTR No./Transaction ID, should reach the Registrar, SVVU, Administrative Office, Dr.Y.S.R. Bhavan, Tirupati-517502 on or before 10th December 2018 by 04.00 pm either in person or by Registered Post with Acknowledgement due

·         Application received after this due date will summarily be rejected

·         Candidates who are in employment should send their applications through proper channel. The University is not responsible for any postal delay

·         The list of eligible candidates for entrance examination will be displayed on University Website on 04th January .2019

·         The hall tickets can be obtained from PG section, Administrative Office, SVVU during working days and working hours from 05th January 2019 to 07th January 2019

About College:

Realizing the potentialities and needs of modernization of the plantation sector through management education and training, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India constituted a core group in 1990 to set up a strategic institution of management education in the plantation sector. IIPM envisaged as a centre of excellence, to act as a think tank and an intellectual resource base for the plantation and associated agri-business sector. It is an exclusive sectoral school of management in Asia, based on a new model intensive institute-industry interaction. In November 1993, the institute was established as an autonomous educational institute of higher learning. It is jointly sponsored by Commodity Boards of India viz., Coffee Board, Tea Board, Rubber Board, Spices Board and Plantation Associations viz., UPASI and India Tea Association (ITA).

Professional Certificate Program on Tea Tasting and Marketing (PCP-TTM) 12th Batch

Eligibility:

·         Graduate in any discipline, recognized by UGC/ AIUs/Foreign Universities.

·         Proficiency in written and oral communication in English is essential. Sponsored candidates by planters, plantation associations, Brokerages, tea manufacturers, tea buyers, Beverage sector and blenders will be given special consideration in eligibility norms.

·         Foreign Nationals/NRIs/PIO candidates can also apply.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected on the basis of interview, psychometric test and blind (sensory) test on tea tasting, if required.

Course Duration

45 days intensive program, starting from 20th May (Monday) to 03rd July (Wednesday) 2019.

Certification

On successful completion of the program with eligible credits, the participants will be awarded Certificate Program on Tea Tasting and Marketing.

Course Fee

The tuition fee for the program is Rs 70,000/- (for National Candidates) and US$ 1175 (for Foreign Nationals /PIO Candidates) to be paid on confirmation of the admission to the program

This does not include mess charges, hostel rent & electricity charges, computer charges, expenses on books & reading material, field/industry visits to North India and other personal expenses.
