Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), a unique institution devoted to the research, teaching and application of statistics, natural sciences and social sciences. Founded by Professor P.C. Successful completion of 10+2 years of Higher Secondary Education (or its equivalent) with Mathematics and English as subjects.

The written test is waived for applicants who are INMO AWARDEES, based on their performance in the Indian National Mathematics Olympiad (INMO) conducted by the National Board of Higher Mathematics, Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. Those interested in admission to any of the academic programmes listed earlier must apply ONLINE through the official website http://www.isical.ac.in/~admission/.

Overseas applicants must also apply online. However, they must take the Admission Test at one of the Test centres located in various towns and cities all over India (see Prospectus). In addition, such applicants are also requested to share their Application ID by email to dean@isical.ac.in with subject Admission 2020-21: Overseas Application immediately after successful submission of the application, and certainly no later than March 20, 2020.

Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) 6th Batch [jointly offered by IIM Calcutta, ISI and IIT Kharagpur]

Eligibility:

·         A candidate must hold a graduate/post graduate degree with any of the following: 10+2+4/10+2+5/10+2+3+2 with a Minimum of 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the Qualifying Degree (i.e. B. Tech./ B.E./ M.Sc./ M. Com or equivalent).

·         For SC/ ST and Person with Disabilities (PwD) category candidates, the qualifying marks for eligibility shall be 55% or CGPA 6.0 on a 10-point scale.

·         The CGPA will not be converted into percentage marks, even if the degree awarding Institute provides marks in CGPA system. Their admission will be based on the CGPA awarded in the transcript. If the CGPA is on a different scale other than 10, the eligibility of a candidate will be based on the equivalence of the CGPA on a 10-point scale.

·         Candidates, who are in the final year, are also eligible to apply provided they appear in the final examination and complete other academic requirements as specified above by May 31, 2020. For such cases, admission will be provisional subject to submission of final mark sheet by October 31, 2020.

The details of admission are available in the prospectus. A three–year B. Sc, or a B. E./B. Tech. with Mathematics with an exceptionally strong background in Analysis and Abstract Algebra,or, a B. Stat./B. Math of the Indian Statistical Institute, is eligible for admission to the M.Math. programme. B. Math.(Hons.) Graduates of the Indian Statistical Institute will be eligible for direct admission to the programme. Others have to be admitted through a selection test conducted by the Institute. Eligibility and Selection Procedure for Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics PGDBA in Indian Statistical Institute, ISI, Kolkata

Candidates who are 10+2+4 must have a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 on a 10 point scale or equivalent, in the BS/B Tech/BE or equivalent Level.

Candidates with 10+2+5 must have a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 on a 10 point scale or equivalent, in the Integrated Masters or equivalent Level.

Candidates, who are in the final year, are also eligible to apply provided they appear in the final examination and complete other academic requirements as specified above by May 31, 2017.

Candidates can apply online.

Application fee of Rs.2000/- (Rs.1000/- for SC/ST/DA categories) has to be paid through the “State Bank Collect” website of ISI admission portal for PGDBA.

Online payment can be made by using Debit/ Credit Card/ Net banking. Keep the print out of transaction details for future reference.

Offline payment can be made by cash only at any branch of SBI.

Selection Procedure for ISI, Kolkata:

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the written test.

Candidates shortlisted after the written test will be called for personal interview.

The final selection would be made on the basis of performance in the written test, personal interview, work experience and academic standing.
