Eligibility:

Candidates should have

A Master's Degree with 55 percent marks (preceded by Bachelor’s degree obtained in 10+2+3 pattern with 60 percent marks

(OR)

A 5 year Integrated Master’s Degree with atleast 55 percent marks (obtained after completing higher secondary schooling in 10+2 pattern) in any discipline

(OR)

A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS, with atleast 50 percent marks

(OR)

A 4 year / 8 semester’s Bachelor's degree (10+2+4 pattern) with at least 6.5 CGPA.

Note: The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate would be calculated based on the practice as followed by their respective University/Institution. In case of grades / CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure as certified by the respective University/ institution. If any University/institution confirms that there is no scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA, and multiplying the result with 100.

Candidates who are in the final year of their qualifying Programmes that would make them eligible can also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally only if they submit a certificate latest by month of June (in the academic year in which admission takes place) from the Principal/ Head of the Department / Registrar or Director of the University / Institute stating that they have appeared for the examinations (including practical examinations) in all the subjects required for obtaining the Master's / Bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification. Their admission will be confirmed only when they submit the marks sheet and the certificate of having passed the Master's / Bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification referred to in the certificate issued by Principal / Registrar of their college / Institute. The deadline for submission of marks sheet and the Certificate is December 31 (in the academic year in which admission takes place). Non-fulfilment of the conditions of eligibility for minimum percentage of marks obtained as applicable, will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

IIM Sirmaur follows Govt. of India norms of reservation.

Selection

Based on the information provided by the applicants, candidates will be shortlisted (on the recommendation of the respective Areas) and called to Sirmaur for an area specific written test and / or interview.

Candidates will be admitted to the programme based on a combination of multiple parameters, as also specified by the respective areas. Parameters may include applicant's performance in CAT/GMAT/GRE/GATE/JRF (NET) score, past academic performance, work experience, area specific test and / or interview performance etc.

CAT 2018 & 2019 is valid for 2020 Ph.D. Admission at IIM Sirmaur. Alternatively, those who have GRE/GATE/GMAT/JRF (UGC/CSIR) taken during the last two years will be considered valid for 2020 Admission.

How to Apply:

Candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. Programme are required fill the online Application Form on or before 20th February 2020.

The Himachal Pradesh University was founded on July 22, 1970. It is located at Summer Hill which is at a distance of 5 kms from the main town, Shimla. B.Sc. Nursing

Duration: 4 Years

Eligibility:

1.    (i) Female Children of Bonafide Himachali/Domicile/Himachal Govt. employees and employees of Autonomous bodies wholly or partially financed by the Himachal Pradesh Government will only be eligible to apply for admission to 4 years B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course through Entrance Test to be conducted by H.P. University, Shimla in Sister Nivedita Govt. College of Nursing, IGMC, Shimla and Private unaided B.Sc. Nursing Colleges/Institutions situated in the State of Himachal Pradesh.

(ii) For filling up of 50% Management Quota Seats in Private un-aided B.Sc. Nursing Colleges in State of Himachal Pradesh, there will be no domicile requirement. Under this quota, both Himachali and Non-Himachali interested candidates can compete in the entrance test subject to fulfillment of minimum educational qualification and age etc. as prescribed in the prospectus.

Note: The above candidates should be Indian National.

2.    The age of the candidates should be between 17 to 35 years as on 31st December, 2019 i.e. the candidate should be born between 01.01.1985 and 1.1.2003. However, upper age can be relaxable by 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates i.e. the candidate must born between 1.1.1980 and 1.1.2003. Age as recorded in the matriculation certificate will be entertained.

3.    Admission to married candidates will be allowed subject to production of medical fitness certificate.

4.    A candidate should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from H.P. Board of School Education/AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or any other Board/University established by law in India in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually with 45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination will be 40% instead of 45% as stated above. Provided further that English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc.(Nursing) course. The candidate should be medically fit.

5.    The candidates who appeared in 10+2 examination and their result are not yet been declared may also apply for this test, but their admission will be made, if they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria as prescribed in the prospectus at the time of Ist round of counselling.

Note:

(i) The candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination from National Institute of Open School or appeared in 10+2 examination Science (Medical) conducted by National Institute of Open School can also apply to this test.

Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing (Female Candidates only)

Duration: 2 Years

Eligibility:

1.    Admission to Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing Degree course shall be made on the basis of merit of the Entrance Test to be conducted by the Himachal Pradesh University Shimla for which the female candidates only are eligible subject to fulfillment of the following conditions :-

a)    The candidates should be registered as registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM) with H.P. State Nurses Registration Council, Shimla at the time of counseling. However, the Himachali Bonafide Candidates who completed their GNM Diploma outside the State and registered themselves in the concerned State Registration Nursing Council shall be registered with the HPNRC, Shimla within 3 months from the date of admission. Provided further that the candidates belonging to another states of the country should be registered in their respective State Nurses Registration Council and at the time of Counseling, they must produced NOC for pursuing their higher studies outside the state from the Registrar of the concerned State Registration Council.

b)    The candidate must have passed 10+2 and its equivalent examination from recognized Board/University established by Law in India with minimum 40% aggregate marks. For SC/ST/OBC candidates the required percentage of aggregate marks will be 35%.

c)    The candidate must have obtained 50% marks in General Nursing & Midwifery from the School/Institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council/Himachal Pradesh Nurses Registration Council.

d)    The distribution of seats between In-Service and Direct candidates in respect of Sister Nivedita Government Nursing College, IGMC, Shimla will be made in the ratio of 70:30. However, 200 point vertical reservation roster will be applied afresh for distribution of seats among General, SC, ST and OBC categories and no horizontal reservation roster will be applied.

HPCET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates appearing in HPCET-2017 for seeking admissions to a particular course must fulfill the eligibility criteria for the corresponding course as per AICTE norms

For B.Tech (Direct Entry): Candidates must have passed 10+2or its equivalent exam from a recognized Board or University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the

Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology subject securing at least 45% marks (40% in case for candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together

For B.Pharm (Direct Entry): Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective State/Central Govt. authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian University (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects individually

However, the students possessing 10+2 qualification from non-formal and non-class rooms based schools such as National Institute of Open Schooling; open school systems of States etc. shall not be eligible for admission to B.Pharmacy Course

Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st Dec.-2017 of the year of admission to the course

For B.Pharm (Ayurveda): The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together

For M.Tech: Recognized Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field obtaining at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination

For M.Pharmacy: Recognized Bachelor in Pharmacy or equivalent degree obtaining at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination

For MBA: Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination

For MCA: Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate level securing at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Exam from a recognized University

Note

The candidates who are appearing for their final examination of 10+2/Bachelor Degree exam in March/April, 2017 shall be allowed to appear in HPCET-2017, but the final selection is subject to their satisfying the above said eligibility conditions.

Admission Criteria

a) Admission to the above programmes will be made strictly on the basis of merit or rank/marks obtained in the National Level Entrance Test/HPCET-2017 subject to fulfillment of minimum educational qualification

b) The Merit/Score of the HPCET-2017 shall be considered only after exhausting Merit/Score of respective National Level Entrance Test

i. MBA: Merit Score of National Level Entrance Test i.e. CMAT, CAT, MAT-AIMA etc. or HPCET-2017 conducted by HP Technical University

ii. MCA: HPCET-2017 conducted by HP Technical University

iii. B.Tech (Direct Entry): JEE (Main)-2017 conducted by CBSE or HPCET-2017 conducted by HP Technical University

iv. B.Pharmacy (Allopathy & Ayurveda): HPCET-2017 conducted by HP Technical University

v. M.Tech: GATE or HPCET-2017 conducted by HP Technical University

vi. M.Pharmacy: GPAT or HPCET-2017 conducted by HP Technical University

Note: Admission to the above programme will be made strictly on the basis of merit or rank/marks obtained in the National Level Entrance Exam/ State Level Entrance Exam subject to fulfillment of minimum education qualifications as per AICTE/University norms

Reservation of Seats

As per State/Central Govt. rules candidates belonging to certain categories are admitted to seats reserved for them based on relaxed criteria, these categories are:

a) Other Backward Classes (OBC) - Non Creamy Layer as per the Central list of Other Backward Classes available on National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC), Govt. of India website www.ncbc.nic.in

b) Scheduled Castes (SC)

c) Scheduled Tribes (ST)

The benefit of reservation for admission will be given only for Himachal Bonafide applicants and the applicants belonging to other States will be treated under General Category only

HPCET-2017 Entrance Test for different programmes/courses will be conducted in the second week of May 2017

The Entrance Test for each course shall be conducted in Single Offline (Pen & Paper Based Test) Mode

All questions shall be objective type (multiple-choice questions); each question with choice of four-answers

The candidate will have to choose one correct answer only. Each correct answer fetches 2 (two) marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 0.5 mark

No marks shall be awarded for questions not attempted

How to Apply

All candidates have to apply online; the Information Brochure can be downloaded from the University Website at www.himtu.ac.in

Submission of Application Form: The Application Form duly completed should be checked; if all the items have been correctly filled and appropriate codes indicating your exact choice have been put in the right spaces provided against each

Also, ensure that you have adhered to the instructions for completing the online Application Form before submitting it

Incomplete Application Form shall not be considered and no correspondence shall be made in this regard; the Application Form once submitted cannot be taken back under any circumstances nor shall the application fee deposited be refunded in any case. Any application submitted after the prescribed last date will not be accepted

The applicants are required to pay the Application Processing cum Test Fee given in below:

i) e-Challan mode

ii) Net banking /Credit card/Debit card

In case the Application Processing cum Test Feeis paid through e-challan/credit/debit card, the candidateis required to pay an additional processing charge, if any as per the bank norms

Admit Card

The e-Admit card will be made available for candidates on the University website i.e. www.himtu.ac.in; candidate should enter the Application Form number to download the e-Admit card

The e-Admit card will indicate the e-Admit card number, photograph of the student, address of the test centre and test date; discrepancies, if any, must be brought to the notice of the Controller of Examinations, HP

About College:

After independence, development of the rural sector was considered the primary concern of the Government of India. In 1949, with the appointment of the Radhakrishnan University Education Commission, imparting of agricultural education through the setting up of rural universities became the focal point. Later, in 1954 an Indo-American team led by Dr. K.R. Damle, the Vice-President of ICAR, was constituted that arrived at the idea of establishing a Rural University on the land-grant pattern of USA. As a consequence a contract between the Government of India, the Technical Cooperation Mission and some land-grant universities ofUSA, was signed to promote agricultural education in the country. The US universities included the universities of Tennessee, the Ohio State University, theKansas State University, The University of Illinois, the Pennsylvania State University and the University of Missouri. The task of assisting Uttar Pradesh in establishing an agricultural university was assigned to the University of Illinois which signed a contract in 1959 to establish an agricultural University in the State. Dean, H.W. Hannah, of the University of Illinois prepared a blueprint for a Rural University to be set up at the Tarai State Farm in the district Nainital, UP. In the initial stage the University of Illinois also offered the services of its scientists and teachers. Thus, in 1960, the first agricultural university of India, UP AgriculturalUniversity, came into being by an Act of legislation, UP Act XI-V of 1958. The Act was later amended under UP Universities Re-enactment and Amendment Act 1972 and the University was rechristened as Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology keeping in view the contributions of Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant, the then Chief Minister of UP. The University was dedicated to the Nation by the first Prime Minister of India Pt Jawaharlal Nehru on 17 November 1960.

A candidate will be eligible for appearing in the Entrance Test for MD/MS/Diploma Courses if he/she is a citizen of India has passed MBBS exam from any Medical College/Institution recognized by the Medical Council of India has completed satisfactorily or is liable to complete one year compulsory rotating internship by 30th Apr 2016 from Colleges/Centres recognized by the Medical Council of India is registered permanently with the State Medical Council/MCI at the time of admission; and  possesses a certificate of good conduct from the Head of the Institution last attended.

A candidate who is already admitted to a course in any institution is eligible to apply for another course only after passing the first course.

An undertaking to this effect will have to be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission.

Concealment of facts would invite disqualification

After commencement of the PG Courses (Degree/Diploma), if a candidate having joined the course leaves it before the completion of full period:

i) he/she will be debarred for next three years from applying for admission to any P.G. Course (Degree/Diploma) in the M.M. Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Mullana-Ambala; and

ii) he/she will have to execute a Bond for payment of full fee of MD/MS/Diploma Courses, at the time of admission and will be liable to pay the bond money in case he/she leaves before the completion of full period of the course

Duration: The period of training for obtaining MD/MS degree shall be three years including the period of exam

In the case of students possessing a recognised two-year Diploma in the same subject, the period of degree training including the period of exam shall be two years

The period of training for obtaining Diploma shall be two years including the period of examination

Admission Procedure:

The Application Form duly completed in candidate's own handwriting, should reach the Admission Office, Administrative Block, Maharishi MarkandeshwarUniversity, Mullana-Ambala (Haryana), 133-207 on or before 20th Jan 2016 by 04.00 p.m.

It may be delivered either personally or sent under registered cover; candidates already in employment should send their application forms through proper channel

Incomplete application form or form received after the closing date/time will not be considered

The Competent Authority takes no responsibility for any postal delay in the receipt or loss of Application Form or any document/correspondence in transit

Entrance Test:

The Test will be held on 25th Jan 2016 from 02.00 p.m. to 03.30 p.m.at Examination Hall, M.M. University Campus, Mullana-Ambala

As per conditions, the candidates who secure less than 50% marks in the entrance test shall not be eligible for admission to the MD/MS/Diploma Courses on the basis of the result of this entrance test

i) The test will consist of one paper of 360 marks carrying multiple choice questions;
ii) Duration of paper: One hour and 30 minutes (02.00 p.m. to 03.30 p.m.)
iii) Number of questions (items): 120

The test booklet will contain 120 MCQs of best response type.

A candidate seeking admission to the MD/MS/Diploma courses is required to send his/her application on the prescribed form appended in the prospectus

Before filling up the Application Form, the candidate must familiarize himself/herself with the information given in this prospectus and check his/her eligibility to appear in the exam; the candidate is required to go through the prospectus carefully and acquaint himself/herself with all the requirements with regard to the filling-in of the Application Form

Application Form should be filled in English only

The candidate shall fill-in the Application Form in his/her own handwriting in the block letters written neatly and legibly with blue/black ink within the prescribed boxes

Overwriting/cutting/erasing in the Application Form may lead to rejection of the Application and should be avoided. Any error arising on this account shall be the responsibility of the candidate

It is advisable to first fill in a photocopy of the form and then the main document

Application Form duly completed must be accompanied by one self addressed stamped envelopes (10"x4.5") with postal stamp of Rs. 40/- affixed on the envelope

The last date for receipt of Application Form duly completed in all respects is 20th Jan 2016 by 04.00 p.m.

Admit Card: The candidates will fill in three Admit Cards each annexed to the Application Forms

The Original will be sent to them by Speed Post/Courier

If the same does not reach them in time, they can collect their Duplicate Admit Cards from the Exam centre specified in the prospectus in the morning on 25th Jan 2016 (from 09.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon)

The proposed entrance test (MMUCET-2016) will be of All India level and candidates not only from Haryana but from other states of the country as well and foreign Nationals/NRIs are eligible to appear in the MMUCET-2016 provided they fulfil the eligibility criteria for admission to MBBS and BDS courses as per the rules and regulations of the MCI/DCI and MM University 

The candidates should fulfil the following minimum conditions to become eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS course: 

He/she will attain the age of 17 years or more on 31st December, 2016 

The age shall be determined as per entry in the Matriculation/Higher Secondary or its equivalent examination certificate 

The candidate must have passed the following examinations, Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2) of Board of School Education, Haryana or an examination as equivalent there to with five subjects from any recognized Board/University with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together (45% for candidates with locomotive disability of lower limbs) and must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually in the qualifying examination 

The student is also required to have passed in other subjects of the 10+2 examination
Placed in the merit list prepared as a result of this competitive entrance test by securing not less than 50% marks (45% in the case of candidates with locomotive disability of lower limbs)
 

The candidate must produce a Medical Fitness Certificate from a Medical Board constituted/approved by the Principal, MM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Mullana 

The candidature of a candidate found medically unfit is liable to be cancelled 

Any candidate who fails to attend the medical examination on the notified date is liable to forfeit the claim for admission and placement in the waiting list 

The candidates passing qualifying examination from National Open School shall also be eligible provided they fulfil the conditions 

Diploma in Pharmacy and Dressor’s course are not equivalent to 10+2 for the purpose of admission to MBBS/BDS courses according to the rules of MM University 

The list of examinations recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examinations of Board of School Education, Haryana as also a list of fake Institutions/universities/boards is available in the academic branch of the university which may be consulted before making application for admission to the course 

The candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examinations are also eligible to appear in the entrance test, but such candidates will have to submit the result of the qualifying examinations at the time of counselling failing which they will not be considered eligible for admission 

Any candidate with compartment/re-appear in any subject in 10+2 examination will be considered for admission to MBBS/BDS course only if he/she passed in that subject on or before the counselling
