SAAT 2018 is the Common Entrance Exam for Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University admission to UG and PG courses for the academic session 2018-19 

The University conducts SOA University Admission Test each year. Sikha 'O' Anusandhan University has announced that it will hold SAAT 2018 from 20th- 30th April 2018 in 35 cities in India, except for medical & dental programs (UG & PG)

Eligibility Criteria for UG courses 

The eligibility criteria for SOA University Admission Test (Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University Admission Test - SAAT 2018) for various UG Courses is elaborated as below 
B. Tech Program- Pass or appearing (in the year 2018) at 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects alongwith one of the following subjects: Chemistry , Computer Science, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Biology, Informatics , Statistics or any other subject as approved by appropriate authority, by securing 50% marks in aggregate (all subjects inclusive) 

B. Pharm Program - Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2018) with pass mark in individual subjects - English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology 

BHMCT Program - Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2018) in any discipline with atleast 45% marks (40% in case of SC, ST, OBC category) 

B.Sc. in Agriculture Program - Pass or appearing at 10+2 exam (2018) with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for admission under general and OBC categories, 40% marks in aggregate for admission under SC, ST and PH categories, with PCM,PCB,PCMB subject combinations. Pass in English in the 10+2 examination is essential 

Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17 years and the upper age limit is 23 years as on 31-12-2018 
B.Sc. in Nursing (Basic) Programs - Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2018) with at least 45% marks in aggregate (Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together) and 40% marks in aggregate for SC, ST, OBC candidates and must have passed in English 

Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17 years as on 31.12.2018 

Post Basic B.Sc. in Nursing (Post basic) - Passed GNM examination, and registered with concerned State Nursing Council 

Five years integrated BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) Program - Pass or appearing (2018) the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with atleast 45% marks. Relaxable to 40% in case of SC, ST 
Candidate should not have completed 20 years of age as on 01st August 2018. The upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 2 (two) years for SC and ST candidates 

BBA - Pass or appearing (2018) the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream 

MBBS,BDS Eligibility - Pass or appearing at 10+2 exam or any equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) and English individually and must have secured a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying exam 
In respect of the candidates belonging to SC,ST & OBC the marks secured in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying exam can be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates 
For PH candidates qualifying exam marks is 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together. As per MCI & DCI guidelines candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test. All candidates must pass in English

Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17 years and the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31st December. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for SC,ST candidates 

Eligibility Criteria for PG Courses 
The eligibility criteria for SOA University Admission Test (Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University Admission Test - SAAT 2018) for various PG Courses is elaborated as below 

For M. Tech Program - Pass or appearing in BE, B.Tech, AMIE, MCA, M.Sc. in the respective discipline or equivalent 
Candidates having MCA & M.Sc (Maths) degree are eligible for M.Tech in Comp Sci. & Data Processing; candidates with M.Sc (Electronics) are eligible for M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engg and M.Tech in Electronics & Instrumentation Engg., M.Sc. in Computer Science and IT are eligible for M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering and CS & IT respectively 

A candidate with B.Tech (Environmental, Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgy) or M.Sc (Environmental Sci, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Geology, Life Science, Botany, Zoology) is eligible for M.Tech in Environmental Science & Technology 

M.Tech in Biotechnology, candidates having B.Tech, B.E in Biotechnology or related fields,M.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Science or equivalent, MBBS, B.Pharm, B.V.Sc with Biology as a subject at +2 level are eligible 
Admission to M.Tech, candidates have to pass the qualifying examination with atleast 50% marks 
GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test, but they have to submit the filled up form 

MCA - Pass or appearing at three year Bachelor Degree in any discipline from any recognised University with atleast 50% of marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC,ST,OBC Category) having Mathematics at 10+2 level or at +3 level 
Candidates having Business mathematics at +2 or +3 level are not eligible 

MBA,MHA,MHTM,MHMCT - Pass or appearing three year Bachelor Degree in Science, Commerce and Arts, B.E, B.Tech, MBBS, B.Pharm, B.Sc Agri., BVSC ,BHMS ,BAMS ,BDS,BPT, BHMCT,BBA,BCA exam or equivalent from any recognised University with atleast 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC,ST,OBC category) 

For MHMCT the candidate must have secured atleast 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC,ST,OBC Category) in BHMCT 
Candidate having a minimum composite score of 500 in GMAT,CAT,XAT,MAT,ATMA or any other equivalent test are exempted from appearing SAAT. They are required only to submit the filled up application form; admission will be done on the basis of performance in SAAT or MAT followed by group discussion and personal interview (GD, PI), all taken together 

M. Pharm - Pass or appearing at B.Pharm examination from any recognized University with atleast 50% marks 

M.Sc All (Biotechnology, Nano Science & Nano Tech, Medicinal & Aromatic Plants, Molecular Biology, Chemical Biology & Drug Design): Pass or appearing at three year Bachelor degree in Science OR four year Bachelor course in Agriculture, Pharmacy Veterinary, Engg, Technology, Medicine (MBBS,BDS) from any recongnised University with atleast 50% marks (45% incase of candidates belonging to SC,ST,OBC category) 

M.Sc in Chemical Biology & Drug Design the candidates should have B.Sc Chemistry (Honours), B.Tech in Chemical Engg, B.Pharm, M.Pharm with atleast 50% marks (45% incase of candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC category) 

M.Sc. in Nursing - Passed B.Sc. Nursing (Basic,Post Basic) Degree with 55% aggregate from an Institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council with a minimum of one year experience either in teaching or clinical area but they should be registered in State Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife 

LLM - Pass or appearing Bachelor Degree in Law or studied Integrated Law Course or equivalent thereof, from any recognized University, securing 50% Marks in aggregate 

Lateral Entry Program - Admission to 2nd year Degree Program in Engg, Pharmacy & Hotel Management for Diploma holders; pass or appearing at three-year diploma course in Engg, Pharmacy and Hotel Management respectively with at least 60% marks in aggregate from State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha or equivalent 

Lateral Entry MCA - Pass or appearing in three year Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), B.Sc in Information Technology and B.Sc in Computer Science with atleast 60% of marks in aggregate from any recognized University 

IInd year Degree Program in Engineering, Pharmacy & Hotel Management for Diploma holders: 
Pass or appearing (in the year 2018) at three year diploma course in Engineering, Pharmacy and Hotel Management respectively with at least 60% marks in aggregate from State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha or equivalent 

For Pharmacy, pass or appearing (in the year 2017) at two year diploma course in Pharmacy with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from State Board of Pharmacy (SBP) or SCTE&VT, Odisha, or equivalent 

Exam Pattern 

There will be multiple-choice questions. The medium of examination is English and the duration of the entrance examination is 2hrs 
Each question shall have four probable answers with only one is correct answer, and the examinee shall have blacken only the correct circle with HB pencil or black,blue ballpoint pen 
Each correct answer shall carry four marks whereas each incorrect answer will lead to dedication of one mark. Each unanswered question will carry zero mark 
If more than one circle is darkened for one question, it will be treated as an incorrect answer and one mark will be deducted

Eligibility Criteria:

The Applicant should be an Indian National (not applicable to nominated candidates) 

He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December 2018, the year of his/her admission to the B.Sc. courses i.e. they should have born or before 01st January 2002 

The applicants should have passed the qualifying examinations in the manner mentioned below: 

a) The Higher/Senior Secondary Exam or the Indian School Certificate Exam, which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Exam after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany and Zoology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research & Training after introduction of 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education or Higher Secondary Exam (+2) Vocational Stream with Medical Laboratory Assistant or any equivalent exam 

b) The applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Botany & Zoology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany & Zoology at the qualifying exam and competitive entrance exam

For candidates belonging to the SC/ST or OBC/OPH the marks obtained in the Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany & Zoology taken together in the qualifying exam and competitive entrance exam is 40% 

c) An Eligibility Certificate is required in the case of foreign nationals nominated by the Central Govt. for admission to B.Sc. (MLT) Course 

d) Candidates who are studying/have studied Medical Laboratory Assistant in the Vocational Stream will not be considered for B.Sc. (Nursing) Course 

e) The Candidates, who have passed qualifying exam other than those mentioned in the list will have to submit an eligibility certificate to JIPMER before admission is finalized for B.Sc. Courses

Entrance Exam Pattern

Entrance Examination will be conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT) [Online] only. 

The exam shall be conducted in English medium only. The questions for B.Sc. Courses Entrance Exam 2018 will be based on the syllabus as prescribed by State Board HSC and CBSE for XI & XII Standards 

The Entrance Exam is common to all and consists of 100 single best response type MCQs having four alternatives and the questions will be asked from the following subjects and the distribution of no. of question is as detailed below: 

The Entrance Exam will be of multiple-choice type questions totaling 100 in the subjects of Physics (20 Marks), Chemistry (20 Marks), Biology (40 Marks), Logic and Quantitative Reasoning (10 marks) & English and Comprehension (10 Marks) for both the main and Vocational Stream students 

Each answer with correct response shall be awarded one mark. Zero mark will be given for the question not answered; there is no negative marking 

The duration of the test is one and half-hours 

Questions that are answered and "Marked for Review" will be considered as Answered 

All questions will be of one best/correct response type having four alternatives; the response of the candidate for a questions on click of submit button before closing of Exam shall be considered as the response chosen by the candidate

The Candidates will be selected based on the performance in the entrance exam which is scheduled on Sunday, 24th June 2018

JIPMER MBBS 2018 - Entrance Exam dates announced

JIPMER MBBS Entrance Exam 2018 is conducted by Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) for admission to MBBS Course for the academic session 2018

JIPMER MBBS 2018 Entrance Exam will be held on 03rd June 2018. JIPMER MBBS 2018 is the medical entrance exam for admission to Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research

There are a total of 200 MBBS seats (150 in JIPMER Puducherry, and 50 in JIPMER Karaikal). Admission to all the available seats is only on basis of JIPMER 2018 MBBS Entrance Exam

Duration of the Course

Duration of the MBBS course is 4 years and 6 months as per the Academic Calendar of JIPMER followed by ONE year of Compulsory Rotatory Internship for award of Degree

Puducherry Residents [UR-50, OBC-28, SC 16, ST-11, PUR-40, NRI/OCI 05]

Under Self Fiancé Scheme [UR-15, OBC-10, SC-06, ST-04, PUR-14, NRI/OCI 01]

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant should be an Indian National/Overseas Citizen of India

Candidates should be completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December the year of his/her admission to the 01st year MBBS, i.e. they should have been born on or before 01st Jan. 2002 (Request for relaxation from the prescribed age limit will not be considered for any category of applicants)

No upper age limit

The applicants should have passed the qualifying examinations in the manner mentioned below:

a) The Higher/Senior Secondary Exam or the Indian School Certificate Exam which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Sr. Secondary Exam after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) or any other elective with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the NCERT after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education (Annexure-I lists the exams recognized by JIPMER)

b) Candidates who have passed the qualifying exam other than those mentioned in the list appended in Annexure-I, will have to submit an Eligibility Certificate before admission is finalized. Obtaining such an Eligibility Certificate from Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi is essential for OCI/NRI for admission to JIPMER M.B.B.S. Course

c) Applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying exam

d) For candidates belonging to the SC/ST or Other Backward Classes/ OPH the minimum marks obtained in the Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology taken together in the qualifying exam is 40%

e) For OPH candidates in general category the minimum marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology taken together in the qualifying examination is 45%

Entrance Exam

Entrance Exam will be conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT) [Online] only. The examination shall be held on Sunday, 03rd June 2018

The duration of the examination shall be 2½ hours (Two hours and Thirty minutes)

The Online (CBT) Entrance Examination will be conducted in two shifts:

(a) Morning Shift/First shift: 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM

(b) Afternoon Shift /Second shift: 03.00 PM to 05.30 PM

Therefore all candidates will be required to appear at CBT Online Entrance Examination, which will be conducted on Sunday, 03rd June 2018 in either one of the shifts (10.00 AM to 12.30 PM (OR) 03.00 PM to 05.30 PM) as allotted by the competent authority

The venue, time and shift of the exam will be communicated to the candidates in the Admit Card

Method of Exam

The exam shall be conducted in English medium only

Hall Tickets

Hall Tickets for the Entrance Examination shall be available for download to candidates whose applications are complete in all respects, from 03rd week of May 2018

The Hall Ticket will contain (1) Name and date of birth as typed by the candidate in the application (2) Photo and signature image as uploaded by the candidate (3) Exam City allotted and Roll Number

No change in the category/age/name/DOB (Date of Birth) will be entertained after submission of application. The candidates in such case have to apply afresh before the closing date

Candidates will NOT be allowed to appear for the Entrance Exam unless he/she produce the hall ticket from the JIPMER website at the exam centres along with ID proof in original & a photocopy of the same

Eligibility criteria of WBJEE 2018 include the restriction on nationality, age, educational qualification, and domicile

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian nationals

Age Limit

Candidates must pass Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent exam from a recognized Council/Board in regular class mode with: 

a) 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together with individual pass marks (both in theory and practical where ever applicable) in each of the said subjects; 

b) Minimum of 50% marks in English as subject in either in ‘10’ standard or in ‘10+2’ standard 

c) These requirements are applicable for the Marine Engineering Course in any of the participating Institutions 

Five Year Degree Course in Architecture: 

a) As per the norms and standards of the Council of Architecture (COA): 

No candidate with less than 50% marks in aggregate shall be admitted to the architecture course unless he/she has passed an examination at the end of new ‘10+2’ scheme of Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject of Examination at the 10+2 level 
Candidate must also qualify either in the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi or in Paper 2 of JEE Mains conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education 

These requirements are applicable for the five year degree course in Architecture in any of the participating Institutions except the Jadavpur University, for which the academic eligibility criteria 

Reservation of Seats 

Reservation of seats for students Merit listed in JEE (Main) 2018 Applicable for candidates merit listed in the JEE-Main-2018 Seats are available for students merit listed in JEE (Main) 2018 up to the extent of 10% of the approved seats in all Self Financed Engineering & Technology Colleges of West Bengal

Allotment of seats shall be strictly on the basis of merit and preference of students through the e-counselling process conducted by the WBJEE

The eligibility and other criteria described in section 3 for admission to degree level Engineering / Technology /Pharmacy/Architecture courses, will be applicable for JEE (Main) 2018 merit listed candidates also 

Reservation of Seats for Admission under Mgt. Quota:

This is applicable only for Self Financing Colleges of the State offering B.E. /B.Tech./ B.Pharm / B. Arch. Courses. It is also applicable for courses running on self- financing basis under the University Institute of Technology, Burdwan University. However, Institutions may or may not opt for admission of students under such quota 

A Maximum of 10% of sanctioned seats may be admitted under such management quota directly by the Concerned Management of those Institutions 

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam 2018
It is the Common Entrance Examination in offline mode (paper based examination) for admission to different Degree Level Courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture in Universities, Govt. Colleges as well as Self Financing Engineering & Technological Institutes in the State of West Bengal 

Subjects of Exam 

The “WBJEE-2018” will be on Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Two papers of examinations will be there 
Paper-I - Mathematics and Paper-II - Physics & Chemistry combined 

Candidates appearing in both Paper-I and Paper-II and who are awarded ranks will be eligible for admission in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy Courses in all institutes

Application Procedure

West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Application has to be filled up online at the portal of the board, www.wbjeeb.nic.in 

The candidates need to visit the portal and click the requisite link Online Application WBJEE-2018 and thereafter will be directed to the actual application form; the form is interactive in nature and the fields required to be filled up are categorized in different sub-sections 

The application form is broadly categorized into three steps: filling of Personal Details; Document Uploading and Fee Payment 

Candidates need to fill in the first part i.e. Personal Details and will thereafter be directed to document uploading; once the documents are successfully uploaded, the system enters into the fee payment 

Finally, the candidate may take a printout of Confirmation Page Generated upon successful Fee Payment for his or her own record; there is no need to send any document by post 

Application Fee Details 

The candidate will be directed to the page of fee payment and will have following two options: 

Payment by Debit/Credit Card: The candidate has to select Debit/Credit Card option to pay the fee and follow the instruction to complete the payment process; after successful payment, candidate will be able to print the "Confirmation Page"

The amount of application fees to be paid for appearing in the WBJEE-2017 is Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) plus the Bank’s Service Charges as applicable. The Examination Fees can be paid in cash less mode by ‘Net Banking’/ ‘Debit Card’/ ‘Credit Card’ or in cash using Allahabad Bank e-challan 

Payment status is updated online and hence should show ‘OK’ immediately after the payment. But in some rare cases it may be delayed due to the Bank’s network delay/failure or transaction failure at the Electronic Payment Gateway (EPG) 

Bank e-Challan: The candidate has to select “Allahabad Bank e-challan” to submit the application fee through bank. As soon as he selects it an e-Challan will be generated containing details of the candidate 

The candidate has to take a printout of the same and take it to the nearest Core Banking Service (CBS) facility enabled Branch of the Bank for making payment. After payment, the candidate has to login to the system and upload the details written on the e-Challan by the bank official

NEET PG 2018 National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MD, MS and PG Medical Diploma Courses 2018

NEET-PG 2018 Medical Entrance Exam is a single window entrance examination for MD, MS, PG Diploma Courses. No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to MD / MS / PG Diploma Courses as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 w.e.f. Admission Session 2018 

National Board of Examinations has been notified by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to conduct NEET-PG on an All-India Basis entrance exam for admission to various MD/ MS and PG Diploma Courses at various Medical Colleges and Institutions of the country 

NBE shall be conducting NEET-PG as a Computer Based Test (CBT) from 07th January 2018 in a single session at all the test centres

For availability of Seats and Counselling: 

While NEET-PG-2018 is being conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE); admissions to 50% seats in Govt. Medical

Colleges will be filled by the Medical Council Committee (MCC) and the remaining 50% seats will be filed by the State Govt. or an Authority appointed by them

ii. State quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses for all States/Union territories of India (including the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana & Jammu & Kashmir) 

iii. MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at all Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities all across the country 

iv. MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions 

v. DNB Broad specialty courses (January 2018 Admission Session) 

The following Medical institutions are not covered by centralized admissions for MD/MS seats through NEET- PG for 2018 session:

Eligibility Criteria 

For NEET-PG 2018
Candidate must be an Indian citizen 

Candidates in possession of MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possess permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship or are likely to complete the internship on or before 31st March 2018, may apply for NEET-PG 2018 through online application system at website 

For All India 50% Quota Seats: 

The eligibility criteria for All India 50% quota seats is as per para 4.1(A) (vide supra).Candidates who have studied/qualified MBBS from the states of Andhra Pradesh*,Telangana*and Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for All India 50% Quota seats 

However, the candidates who were nominated by the Govt. of India (under central pool seats) to do MBBS from Medical Colleges in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh*and Jammu & Kashmir shall be eligible for All India 50% quota seats 

Such candidates must submit a duly signed affidavit declaring that he/she was nominated by the Govt. of India (under central pool seats) to do MBBS from Medical Colleges in Andhra Pradesh*, Telangana* and Jammu & Kashmir 

For Foreign Medical Graduates: 

Indian citizens or overseas citizens of India who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualifications from Medical Colleges outside India should have qualified the Foreign Medical Graduate Exam(Screening Test) which is conducted by National Board of Exams 

Further, they should have been registered with MCI/SMC and should have completed their internship or likely to complete their internship on or before 31st March 2018 

Foreign Medical Graduates are required to bring their FMGE Pass certificate issued by NBE on their testing day 

Foreign Nationals in NEET-PG 2018: 

It is not mandatory for foreign nationals to have temporary registration with MCI at he time of writing NEET-PG. Foreign Nationals can write NEET-PG without MCI registration 

The MCI may, on payment of the prescribed fee for registration, grant temporary registration for the duration of the Post Graduate course limited to the medical college/institution to which he/she is admitted for the time being exclusively for pursuing postgraduate studies 

The cutoff date for completion of internship towards determination of eligibility for appearing in NEET-PG 2018 shall be 31st March 2018 

NEET PG Exam Pattern 2018 

NEET PG 2018 will be a Computer Based Test (CBT). The online question paper will be based on the syllabus as prescribed by the exam conducting authority, NBE. The question booklet will have questions taught during MBBS programmes. Candidates can check below for the highlights: 

There will be a total of 300 multiple choice questions 

Each question will consist of 4 answers and candidates have to choose a single correct response 

Duration of the test will be 195 minutes-15 minutes for test tutorials and 180 minutes for attempting the test 

The weightage of MCQs is indicative and purely provisional. NBE reserves its right to alter/amend and vary the same 

Negative marking: There shall be 25% negative marking for incorrect answers.No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions

The syllabus for NEET-PG shall comprise of subjects/knowledge areas asper the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council ofIndia with prior approval of Govt. of India

Selection Procedure

Details of admission examination GAT (PGTA) - 2018:

The duration of the examination is 2 hours. The examination consists of three sections and all questions are objective type (multiple choice questions). Each question has four options out of which one is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted from the score for each wrong answer. The unanswered questions will receive nil marks.

Mode of Payment - Internet Banking facility through Net Banking / Debit card / Credit card. For Candidates applying through Net Banking/ Debit Card / Credit Card there is no need to send the hardcopy of the application form.

Mode of Payment – Demand Draft-Applicants need to send the hardcopy of the application along with DD to The Director-Admissions.

Applications can be obtained by post from director-admissions by sending a request on plain paper giving the candidate's name with complete mailing address accompanied by demand draft for Rs.150/- drawn in favor of "GITAM University" payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank. Request for applications by post will be accepted up to 24th March, 2018.

The filled in application along with demand draft for Rs. 1,000/- (Rs. 600/- for female candidates), drawn in favor of GITAM University, payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank, should reach The Director-Admissions, GITAM University, Gandhi Nagar Campus, Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam - 530 045, Andhra Pradesh, India on or before 26th March, 2018.

Online Slot Booking

Candidates must choose a examination centre, date and slot of their choice by using the GAT-2018 online booking system. Candidates will not be issued the e-hall ticket without booking a slot through online booking system. Candidate has to submit his/ her application number, gender and date of birth, while logging into the online booking system.

Candidates are required to book their slots using the online booking system as per the scheduled dates i.e., 05th to 08th April 2018. If the candidate has not booked his / her slot on or before 08th April 2018, the system will generate the same automatically. Please note that the online booking system will not allow the candidate to book his/ her slot after 8th April 2018.

Hall Ticket

The hall ticket contains the hall ticket number, program applied for, address of the examination centre, date & time of the examination i.e., selected by the candidate. If any discrepancies found, the candidate should bring it to the notice of the University authorities.

Candidate should enter the application number, gender and date of birth details to download the hall ticket. Candidates should take two print outs of his/ her hall ticket. Please ensure that all details on the E-Hall Ticket including photograph is clearly visible on the print out.

The candidate is required to bring his/ her hall ticket to the examination centre. The hall ticket will not be dispatched to candidates through post or fax.

No candidate will be permitted to appear for the examination without a valid hall ticket.

The hall ticket is not transferable to any other person. Impersonation is a legally punishable offence.

The hall ticket is an important document. It must be preserved and produced at the time of counselling for seeking admission.

Candidates shall report to the selected examination centre with two copies of the hall tickets and any one of the following for personel identification:

Passport/ Driving License/ EC Voter ID card/ IT PAN card / Aadhar Card or School/ College photo-bearing ID card.

·         The final list of centres will be announced to candidates through the website www.gitam.edu. The University reserves the right to cancel any examination centre and in such a case, candidates allotted to these centres will be accommodated in alternate examination centres.

·         Candidates will be informed that depending on the administrative convenience, examinations may be conducted for a limited number of days in some of the centres. The final list of examination centres, venues and days of examination will be announced only after all the applications are received and candidates will be informed of the same through the university website to enable the candidates to choose their centre, date and time for the examination as per their convenience and availability of slots in any of the aforesaid centres. Candidates should indicate 3 different examination centres, in order of preference, in the application for consideration by the University.

·         The candidate has to register his/ her name at the registration counter in the examination centre. The e-hall tickets of the candidates will be verified by the proctor to confirm each candidate's identity. The candidate has to produce any one of the following for personal identification: Passport / Driving License / EC voter ID card / IT PAN card / School or College photo bearing ID card / Aadhar Card. Each candidate will be given a seat with a computer. Candidate must take the allotted seat at least 15 minutes before the examination commences.

·         Candidates will not be allowed to carry any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers or any other material except the e-hall ticket into the examination hall. Candidates are also not permitted to bring calculators, slide rules, clark tables and electronic watches with facilities of calculators, laptop or palmtop computers, personal stereo systems, walkie- talkie sets, mobile phones, paging devices or any other object/ device that is likely to be of unfair assistance.

·         No candidate will be allowed to go outside the examination hall till the completion of the entire duration of the examination . Once a candidate leaves the examination hall, he/ she will not be permitted to re-enter in to the examination hall under any circumstances.

·         Smoking is strictly prohibited. Tea, coffee, soft drinks / snacks are not allowed into the examination hall. There are no waiting facilities for family and friends at the examination centre.

·         Candidates should maintain perfect silence. All actions of the candidate in the examination hall will be closely monitored using web cam and closed circuit cameras. Any conversation or gesticulation or disturbance in the examination hall shall be deemed as misbehaviour and if any candidate is found using unfair means or impersonation, his/ her candidature will be cancelled and they will be liable to be debarred from taking examination either permanently or for a specified period, as decided by the University. The University reserves the right to withhold the result of such candidates.

·         Candidates must sign the attendance sheet in the presence of the invigilator. The candidate must obey the rules of the examination centres, otherwise he / she will be automatically debarred from the examination .

·         In rare and unlikely event of a technical failure during the examination, the candidate may be required to take the examination again.

Financial assistance

The University offers financial assistance to the deserving meritorious candidates as detailed below:

Merit–cum-means scholarships will be awarded to 5% of students in each department of the academic institutes of the University @ Rs. 2,000/- per month depending upon merit of the student and income of the parent.

Merit scholarships will be provided to the candidates admitted in M.Tech. and M.Pharmacy programs..

Teaching assistantships will be offered to meritorious students of M.Tech. & M.Pharmacy depending upon the need and availability of suitable candidates, subject to a maximum of three students in each program @ Rs. 5,000/- per month.

DNB CET SS 2018 Admission Session 2018

DNB-CET SS 2018 Application Form has been released now. NBE (National Board of Examination) is organizing a national level examintion for admission to the DNB PG & DNB super speciliaty courses. DNB CET 2018 is a qualifying-cum-ranking examination which offers admission to DNB post graduate courses. The test provides entry to post DNB/MD/MS Super Specialty courses is Diplomate National Board Centralized Entrance Test – Super Specialties (DNB-CET SS). Both the examinations is conducted twice in a year (January and July Session). Eligibility Criteria

Applicants can get the eligibility criteria details of DNB CET from this section:

Qualifying Exam: Applicants should hold the MBBS and MD/MS Degree recognized by Medical Council of India.

Appearing candidates: Candidates who are in possession of postgraduate medical degrees/Provisional Pass Certificates by 31st December 2017 are eligible to apply.

Applicant should complete their 3 years of rotatory training by 31st December 2017.

Candidate must be registered with M.C.I./State Medical Council and proof must be furnished at the time of counselling.

DNB CET Exam Pattern 2018

The exam pattern details are mentioned below:

Mode of Exam: Exam will be conducted in online mode (CBT).

Type of Questions: Multiple Type Questions will be asked in the exam.

Total Questions: There are 180 questions which will be asked in the question paper.

Medium of Exam: The question paper will be published in English language only.

Duration: The examination will be of 3 hours.

Marking Scheme: For the correct answer, 4 marks will be given to the candidates.

Negative Marking: There will be 25% negative marking for incorrect answer.

DNB CET Admit Card

Once the registration and scheduling process will complete, the admit card will issue to the applicants. Applicants can take a print out of the admit card and paste the photograph in the given space. Do not forget to bring the DNB CET 2018 Admit card along with one ID proof on the examination day.

On the day of the exam, applicants have to bring the given below documents with them:

The printed copy of Admit card with a photo posted on it.

Photocopy of permanent or provisional SMC/MCI registration.

Anyone of the ID proof (Pan Card/Driving License/Voter ID/Aadhaar Card (with photograph).

DNB CET Result 2018

Applicants have to obtain the minimum qualifying marks for admission. The minimum qualifying marks for general category is 50% above, 40% and above for SC/ST/OBC and for Person with the disability, it will be 45% and above. The result will be declared on 21st January 2018 (DNB-CET SS). The DNB-CET 2018 result can be checked by entering applicant’s Testing ID and Date of Birth. The validity of the result will be only for the current admission session i.e. January 2018 session only.

DNB CET Counselling 2018

Candidates who qualify the examination & fulfill the eligibility criteria will participate in the counseling for allocation of seats on merit cum choice basis. NBE will conduct the centralized counselling for both exams. Counselling will be purely based on merit prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in DNB CET. After paying the counselling fee of Rs. 2500/-, applicants can select the institutions/hospitals/medical colleges according to their priority.

How to Apply:

DNB CET Application Form 2018

Applicants have to apply for DNB CET 2018 through online mode only.

Applicants are instructed to go through the information brochure before filling the form.

Application form cannot be submitted via offline mode.

Registration and scheduling process is started from 6th November 2017 (For DNB-CET SS) & November 2017 (DNB CET).

Candidates can choose the exam center, date and time while registration.

Once the test center is scheduled, it cannot be changed later.

An incomplete application form is liable for rejection.

Upload a photograph, signature and thumb impression in a specified file size.

Application Fee:

The application fee is Rs. 4500/- for both exams.

Applicants can pay the fee through a payment gateway of credit card/debit card/net banking.

The application fee is non-refundable.

Eligibility 

For M.Sc. Medical Technology (Radiodiagnosis): B.Sc. with diploma in Radiography from a University/Institute recognized by this Institute and having cleared with at least 55% marks in each exam with not more than one attempt and three years experience as a technician in the concerned subject 

For M.Sc. Medical Technology (Radiotherapy): B.Sc. Medical Technology (Radiology or Radiotherapy) from a University/Institute recognized by this Institute with atleast 55% marks and not more than one attempt and three years experience as a technician in the concerned subject 

For remaining M.Sc. Medical Technology Courses: B.Sc. or B.Sc. Medical Technology degree from a University/Institute recognized by this Institute with at least 55% marks and three years experience as a technician in the subject in which admission is sought from a teaching research Institute/Hospital after obtaining qualification of B.Sc. or B.Sc. Medical technology 

Selection Procedure 

All candidates who fulfill the required qualifications mentioned above shall appear in a theory paper containing 50 multiple choice objective type questions carrying 100 marks 

Candidates who secure atleast 50% marks in the theory exam will only qualify for admission; candidates will be called for interview strictly in the order of merit based on their marks in the theory exam 

The number of candidates to be called for the interview will be three times of the total number of seats to be filled provided the candidate qualify the exam with the above mentioned procedure; the interview with the selection committee is mandatory and will not carry any mark 

There will be negative marking to the tune of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the theory paper

The following fees etc. will be payable by candidates admitted to the courses: 

a) Registration Fee: Rs.500/- 

b) Tuition Fee: Rs.350/- per annum 

c) Laboratory Fee: Rs.900/- per annum
