CEE AMPAI 2018 - The Common Entrance Examination (CEE) 2018 will be organised by Association of Minority Professional Academic Institute (AMPAI) for the candidates seeking admission to the various Degree Courses in Engineering and Pharmacy for the academic year 2018-19

About the CEE AMPI-2018

Common Entrance Examination (CEE) organised by Association of Minority Professional Academic Institutes (AMPAI) is to conduct an entrance examination for students in the State and National Level.

Students of Sikh and Other Minority and Non-Minority in the State and National levelmay appear in the CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB Examination. This examination will be conducted both for admission in the first year of 4 years B.Tech and B.Pharm Courses.

The Common Entrance Exam- 2018 will be conducted for admission to different degree level courses in Engineering & Technology and Pharmacy in the AMPAI enlisted colleges as mentioned above based on the following subject combination.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to appear in CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB and thereafter secure admission in the approved institutes based on position in the merit list, students have tofulfil the following criteria:

Citizenship: Applicant must be a citizen of India

Age Restriction

For Engineering & Technology /Pharmacy Courses:

Candidates must be at least 17 (seventeen) years of age as on 31st December 2018. There is no upper age limit

A candidate born on or after 01.01.2000 is not eligible to appear in the CEE-AMPAI 2018-WB

Date of Birth as recorded in Class X Exam under any School/Secondary Education Board Certificate/Admit Card will only be considered.

Academic Requirements:

For Bachelor in Engineering & Technology:

Candidates must have passed 10+2 Examination from a recognized Council/Board with:

Individual pass marks in Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Computer Application as Compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory & practical wherever applicable) in regular mode

Minimum of 45% marks in the above subjects taken together as well as pass in English in the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 30% marks

For Bachelor in Pharmacy Course:

Candidates must have passed 10+2 Examination from a recognized Council/Board with:

Individual pass marks in Physics and Chemistry along with any one of Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Computer Application as Compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory & practical wherever applicable) in regular mode.

Minimum of 45% marks in the above subjects taken together as well as pass in English in the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 30% marks

Note: A candidate appearing in the qualifying exam 10+2 standard exam in 2018 may appear in the CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB but shall not be made eligible for allotment of seats for admission if he/she does not pass the qualifying exam with required minimum standard of eligibility criteria as stated above

Reservation under Minority quota (Sikh & Christian):

Percentage of reserved seats declared as per discretion of the minority institutes and as per the notification by the Govt. of West Bengal

Subjects of Exam:

Candidates are required to appear in 3 papers:

Paper I: Mathematics

Paper II: Physics and Chemistry

Paper III: Biology

Exam Schedule - 13th May 2018

Mathematics - 100 Marks (09.00 am – 10.30 pm)

Physics & Chemistry –75 Marks each (total 150 marks) (11.30 am – 01.30 pm)

Biology - 100 Marks (02.30 pm – 04.00 pm)

Pattern of Questions & Mode of Answering:

Question Pattern: Questions will be based on the syllabus for WBJEE - 2018 (details available at www.wbjeeb.in). In every subject, all questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ-type) with four options against each of the questions and the answer(s) to each of the questions has/have to be marked on the OMR Answer Sheet

Mathematics: Category I - 60 X 1 mark each, Category-II - 20 X 2 marks each, Total - 100 marks

Biological Sciences: Category I - 60 X 1 mark each Category II - 20 X 2 marks each, Total - 100 marks

Physics: Category I - 45 X 1 mark each, Category II - 15 X 2 marks each, Total - 75 marks

Chemistry: Category I - 45 X 1 mark each, Category II - 15 X 2 marks each, Total - 75 marks

There is no negative marking

Category-I: a) Only one option is correct, correct response will yield one mark; b) For more than one answer indicated against a particular question in the OMR sheet; the said answer will be treated as incorrect response/answer

Category II: a) Only one option is correct, correct response will yield two marks; b) For more than one answer indicated against a particular question in the OMR sheet; the said answer will be treated as incorrect response/answer

Mode of Answering

Questions must be answered on specially designed machine readable answer sheets (OMR Answer Sheet); Answers are to be marked (bubbled) using blue/black ball point pen only on the OMR answer sheet

N.B.: It is to be noted carefully that the candidates must fill in as well as bubble in All the relevant information including the “Question Booklet No. and Question Booklet Series” at the indicated places on both OMR Answer Sheet and Attendance Sheet during examination

Exam Centres

The allocation of exam centre will be based on the choices given by the candidate during Application Form fill-up. Each applicant has the right to choose a maximum of two centres

However, discretion of AMPAI in allocation of exam centre shall be final. A candidate may apply for CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB, in 2 ways:

Online Registration:

Step 1: Click on link: "Apply online" at www.ampai.in and register at AMPAI website by providing name and a valid e-mail id at the "New Online Registration" section. A unique password shall be mailed to the e-mail you have provided

Step 2: You need to re-visit www.ampai.in and go to the login page. This time you need to use the "Existing Users Login" section where you can enter your e-mail id and the password sent to you on email and proceed to fill and submit the on-line application form of CEE-AMPAI-2018-WB

Step 3: The candidate next needs to make a payment of Rs.200/- [Rupees Two Hundred only] by the on-line payment gateway

Offline Registration:

Step 1: Candidates can download the Application Form from www.ampai.in. candidate needs to visit www.ampai.in and download a pdf copy of the Application form from the appropriate link

Step 2: The candidate needs to take a printout of the downloaded form, fill up the necessary fields

Application Fee of Rs.200/- has to be paid by DD in favour of “Association of Minority Professional Academic Institutes” or “AMPAI” payable at Kolkata

An SMS will be sent to the mobile number provided by each candidate after receiving the Application Form

Issue of Admit Card

Admit Cards will be made available online from www.ampai.in from 03rd May 2018

Candidates will be able to download their respective admit cards after providing their name, date of birth, user id (their email address) and password

Candidates must bring one copy A4 size print out of them admit cards at the exam hall on 13th May 2018

The eligibility criteria for SOA University Admission Test (Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University Admission Test - SAAT 2018) for various UG Courses is elaborated as below 
B. Tech Program- Pass or appearing (in the year 2018) at 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects alongwith one of the following subjects: Chemistry , Computer Science, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Biology, Informatics , Statistics or any other subject as approved by appropriate authority, by securing 50% marks in aggregate (all subjects inclusive) 

B. Pharm Program - Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2018) with pass mark in individual subjects - English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology 

BHMCT Program - Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2018) in any discipline with atleast 45% marks (40% in case of SC, ST, OBC category) 

B.Sc. in Agriculture Program - Pass or appearing at 10+2 exam (2018) with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for admission under general and OBC categories, 40% marks in aggregate for admission under SC, ST and PH categories, with PCM,PCB,PCMB subject combinations. Pass in English in the 10+2 examination is essential 

Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17 years and the upper age limit is 23 years as on 31-12-2018 
B.Sc. in Nursing (Basic) Programs - Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2018) with at least 45% marks in aggregate (Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together) and 40% marks in aggregate for SC, ST, OBC candidates and must have passed in English 

Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17 years as on 31.12.2018 

Post Basic B.Sc. in Nursing (Post basic) - Passed GNM examination, and registered with concerned State Nursing Council 

Five years integrated BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) Program - Pass or appearing (2018) the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with atleast 45% marks. Relaxable to 40% in case of SC, ST 
Candidate should not have completed 20 years of age as on 01st August 2018. The upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 2 (two) years for SC and ST candidates 

BBA - Pass or appearing (2018) the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream 

MBBS,BDS Eligibility - Pass or appearing at 10+2 exam or any equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) and English individually and must have secured a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying exam 
In respect of the candidates belonging to SC,ST & OBC the marks secured in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying exam can be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates 
For PH candidates qualifying exam marks is 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together. As per MCI & DCI guidelines candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test. All candidates must pass in English

Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17 years and the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31st December. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for SC,ST candidates 

Eligibility Criteria for PG Courses 
The eligibility criteria for SOA University Admission Test (Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University Admission Test - SAAT 2018) for various PG Courses is elaborated as below 

For M. Tech Program - Pass or appearing in BE, B.Tech, AMIE, MCA, M.Sc. in the respective discipline or equivalent 
Candidates having MCA & M.Sc (Maths) degree are eligible for M.Tech in Comp Sci. & Data Processing; candidates with M.Sc (Electronics) are eligible for M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engg and M.Tech in Electronics & Instrumentation Engg., M.Sc. in Computer Science and IT are eligible for M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering and CS & IT respectively 

A candidate with B.Tech (Environmental, Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgy) or M.Sc (Environmental Sci, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Geology, Life Science, Botany, Zoology) is eligible for M.Tech in Environmental Science & Technology 

M.Tech in Biotechnology, candidates having B.Tech, B.E in Biotechnology or related fields,M.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Science or equivalent, MBBS, B.Pharm, B.V.Sc with Biology as a subject at +2 level are eligible 
Admission to M.Tech, candidates have to pass the qualifying examination with atleast 50% marks 
GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test, but they have to submit the filled up form 

MCA - Pass or appearing at three year Bachelor Degree in any discipline from any recognised University with atleast 50% of marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC,ST,OBC Category) having Mathematics at 10+2 level or at +3 level 
Candidates having Business mathematics at +2 or +3 level are not eligible 

MBA,MHA,MHTM,MHMCT - Pass or appearing three year Bachelor Degree in Science, Commerce and Arts, B.E, B.Tech, MBBS, B.Pharm, B.Sc Agri., BVSC ,BHMS ,BAMS ,BDS,BPT, BHMCT,BBA,BCA exam or equivalent from any recognised University with atleast 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC,ST,OBC category) 

For MHMCT the candidate must have secured atleast 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC,ST,OBC Category) in BHMCT 
Candidate having a minimum composite score of 500 in GMAT,CAT,XAT,MAT,ATMA or any other equivalent test are exempted from appearing SAAT. They are required only to submit the filled up application form; admission will be done on the basis of performance in SAAT or MAT followed by group discussion and personal interview (GD, PI), all taken together 

M. Pharm - Pass or appearing at B.Pharm examination from any recognized University with atleast 50% marks 

M.Sc All (Biotechnology, Nano Science & Nano Tech, Medicinal & Aromatic Plants, Molecular Biology, Chemical Biology & Drug Design): Pass or appearing at three year Bachelor degree in Science OR four year Bachelor course in Agriculture, Pharmacy Veterinary, Engg, Technology, Medicine (MBBS,BDS) from any recongnised University with atleast 50% marks (45% incase of candidates belonging to SC,ST,OBC category) 

M.Sc in Chemical Biology & Drug Design the candidates should have B.Sc Chemistry (Honours), B.Tech in Chemical Engg, B.Pharm, M.Pharm with atleast 50% marks (45% incase of candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC category) 

M.Sc. in Nursing - Passed B.Sc. Nursing (Basic,Post Basic) Degree with 55% aggregate from an Institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council with a minimum of one year experience either in teaching or clinical area but they should be registered in State Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife 

LLM - Pass or appearing Bachelor Degree in Law or studied Integrated Law Course or equivalent thereof, from any recognized University, securing 50% Marks in aggregate 

Lateral Entry Program - Admission to 2nd year Degree Program in Engg, Pharmacy & Hotel Management for Diploma holders; pass or appearing at three-year diploma course in Engg, Pharmacy and Hotel Management respectively with at least 60% marks in aggregate from State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha or equivalent 

Lateral Entry MCA - Pass or appearing in three year Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), B.Sc in Information Technology and B.Sc in Computer Science with atleast 60% of marks in aggregate from any recognized University 

IInd year Degree Program in Engineering, Pharmacy & Hotel Management for Diploma holders: 
Pass or appearing (in the year 2018) at three year diploma course in Engineering, Pharmacy and Hotel Management respectively with at least 60% marks in aggregate from State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha or equivalent 

For Pharmacy, pass or appearing (in the year 2017) at two year diploma course in Pharmacy with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from State Board of Pharmacy (SBP) or SCTE&VT, Odisha, or equivalent 

Exam Pattern 

There will be multiple-choice questions. The medium of examination is English and the duration of the entrance examination is 2hrs 
Each question shall have four probable answers with only one is correct answer, and the examinee shall have blacken only the correct circle with HB pencil or black,blue ballpoint pen 
Each correct answer shall carry four marks whereas each incorrect answer will lead to dedication of one mark. Each unanswered question will carry zero mark 
If more than one circle is darkened for one question, it will be treated as an incorrect answer and one mark will be deducted

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria of WBJEE 2018 include the restriction on nationality, age, educational qualification, and domicile

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian nationals

Age Limit

The lower age limit to appear in WBJEE 2018 is 17 (seventeen) years as on December 31, 2018. There is no upper age limit for WBJEE 2018. In the case of Marine Engineering, the lower age limit is 17 (seventeen) years, and upper age limit is 25 (twenty-five) as on 31st December 2017

Educational Qualification

Eligibility criteria with regards to education is again specified separately for candidates who come under GMR and PM. For Engineering Admission - Those who will appear in both Paper I and Paper II 

They must have passed class 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics both, along with any one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application as compulsory subjects. In each of the 3 subjects individually they must have obtained passing marks

Aggregate marks in the 3 subjects should be 45% (40% for reserved category candidates). They must have passed English in class 12th with at least 30%

For Pharmacy Admission- Those who will appear in only Paper II 

They must have passed class 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry both, along with any one of Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application as compulsory subjects. In each of the 3 subjects individually they must have obtained passing marks

Aggregate marks in the 3 subjects should be 45% (40% for reserved category candidates). They must have passed English in class 12th with at least 30%

Important consideration in terms of academic qualification: A candidate appearing in the Qualifying Examination i.e. the ‘10+2’ Examination in 2018 may sit in the WBJEE-2018 but shall not be eligible for allotment of seat for admission if he/she does not pass the Qualifying Examination with the required minimum eligibility criteria

All available Courses except ‘Jute &Fibre Technology: Pass ‘10+2’ or equivalent Examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with at least 60% (55% for Reserve Category Students) marks in all the above three subjects taken together, individual pass marks (both in theory & practical where ever applicable) in each of the subjects and with at least 30% marks in English

Course in Marine Engineering: As per the norms and standards of the Director General of Shipping, Government of India 
Candidates must pass Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent exam from a recognized Council/Board in regular class mode with: 

a) 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together with individual pass marks (both in theory and practical where ever applicable) in each of the said subjects;

No candidate with less than 50% marks in aggregate shall be admitted to the architecture course unless he/she has passed an examination at the end of new ‘10+2’ scheme of Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject of Examination at the 10+2 level 
Candidate must also qualify either in the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi or in Paper 2 of JEE Mains conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education 

These requirements are applicable for the five year degree course in Architecture in any of the participating Institutions except the Jadavpur University, for which the academic eligibility criteria 

Reservation of Seats 

Reservation of seats for students Merit listed in JEE (Main) 2018 Applicable for candidates merit listed in the JEE-Main-2018 Seats are available for students merit listed in JEE (Main) 2018 up to the extent of 10% of the approved seats in all Self Financed Engineering & Technology Colleges of West Bengal

Allotment of seats shall be strictly on the basis of merit and preference of students through the e-counselling process conducted by the WBJEE

However, Institutions may or may not opt for admission of students under such quota 

A Maximum of 10% of sanctioned seats may be admitted under such management quota directly by the Concerned Management of those Institutions 

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam 2018
It is the Common Entrance Examination in offline mode (paper based examination) for admission to different Degree Level Courses in Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture in Universities, Govt. Colleges as well as Self Financing Engineering & Technological Institutes in the State of West Bengal 

Subjects of Exam 

The “WBJEE-2018” will be on Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Two papers of examinations will be there

Candidates appearing in both Paper-I and Paper-II and who are awarded ranks will be eligible for admission in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy Courses in all institutes

Application Procedure

West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Application has to be filled up online at the portal of the board, www.wbjeeb.nic.in 

The candidates need to visit the portal and click the requisite link Online Application WBJEE-2018 and thereafter will be directed to the actual application form; the form is interactive in nature and the fields required to be filled up are categorized in different sub-sections 

The application form is broadly categorized into three steps: filling of Personal Details; Document Uploading and Fee Payment 

Candidates need to fill in the first part i.e. Personal Details and will thereafter be directed to document uploading; once the documents are successfully uploaded, the system enters into the fee payment 

Finally, the candidate may take a printout of Confirmation Page Generated upon successful Fee Payment for his or her own record; there is no need to send any document by post 

Application Fee Details 

The candidate will be directed to the page of fee payment and will have following two options: 

Payment by Debit/Credit Card: The candidate has to select Debit/Credit Card option to pay the fee and follow the instruction to complete the payment process; after successful payment, candidate will be able to print the "Confirmation Page"

The amount of application fees to be paid for appearing in the WBJEE-2017 is Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) plus the Bank’s Service Charges as applicable. The Examination Fees can be paid in cash less mode by ‘Net Banking’/ ‘Debit Card’/ ‘Credit Card’ or in cash using Allahabad Bank e-challan 

Payment status is updated online and hence should show ‘OK’ immediately after the payment. But in some rare cases it may be delayed due to the Bank’s network delay/failure or transaction failure at the Electronic Payment Gateway (EPG) 

Bank e-Challan: The candidate has to select “Allahabad Bank e-challan” to submit the application fee through bank. As soon as he selects it an e-Challan will be generated containing details of the candidate 

The candidate has to take a printout of the same and take it to the nearest Core Banking Service (CBS) facility enabled Branch of the Bank for making payment. After payment, the candidate has to login to the system and upload the details written on the e-Challan by the bank official 

Application Fee 

WBJEE 2018 Application fee can be paid through offline and online methods 

Applicants can pay WBJEE application fee via Credit/Debit Card or through the challan of Allahabad Bank

National Broad of Examinations (NBE) shall conduct the DNB Final Examination from 08th to 10th December 2017 in various Broad and Super Specialties 
NBE at present conducts Postgraduate & Post doctoral Exams in approved specialties leading to the award of Diplomate of National Board 

DNB - Super Specialty Courses 

List of DNB Specialties in which Final Exams shall be conducted in December 2017 - Cardiology, Gasteroenterology, Genito Urinary Surgery, Nephrology, Neuro surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Paediatric Surgery and Plastic Surgery 

About 

NBE at present conducts Postgraduate & Postdoctoral Exams in approved specialties leading to the award of Diplomate of National Board. The MCI has laid down standards for postgraduate exams conducted by various medical colleges and affiliated to concerned universities and other institutions, yet the levels of proficiency and standards of evaluation vary considerably in these institutions 

The Exams conducted by NBE provide a common standard and mechanism of evaluation of minimum level of attainment of the knowledge and competencies of medical specialties 

Eligibility 

a) DNB Candidates: Candidates who have undergone training as a DNB trainee at any National Board of Examinations accredited Institute/ Medical College / Hospital after having registered with NBE as a DNB trainee and are completing their 3 years of training as DNB trainee as per the following schedule: 
Cut off date for completion of DNB training 30th June 2018 

b) DM/M.Ch. Candidates who have passed the final exam leading to the award of Post Doctoral Degree from Indian Universities, which are duly recognized as per provisions of Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and DM/ M.Ch Degree has been awarded on or before 30th September 2017 can apply for the DNB Final Exam in same Specialty; and 

The duration of DM/MCh training should be 3 years 

c) Final Exam (Direct 6 years Courses): Candidates who joined DNB Course in Plastic Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery or Neuro Surgery (Direct 6 years Courses) and have successfully qualified Part-I Exam as direct 6 years candidates can take Part- II (Final) Exam on completion of 5 years of DNB training subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria 

D) Part-II (Final) Exam is common for candidates of 3 years and direct 6 years DNB courses in the respective super specialties. Direct 6 years candidates appearing in DNB final exam shall be exempted from question Paper–I; they will be required to attempt question paper II & III only. Post DNB (3years) and DM/MCh candidates will have to attempt all the three question papers 

Exam Pattern 

For Super Specialties: 

The DNB Final is a Two-Stage Exam Comprising of Theory & Practical Exam; an eligible candidate who has qualified the theory exam is permitted to appear in the practical exam 

This second attempt shall be permitted out of the next 2 sessions of practical exam placed along with the next two successive theory exam sessions. Abstention from Practical Exam is counted as an attempt

DNB Final Exam 

a) Theory Exam 

Maximum Marks: 300; the theory exam comprises of three question papers; there are 10 short notes of 10 marks each in the question paper 

The number of short notes and their respective marks weightage may vary in some subjects/some papers; maximum time permitted is 3 hours for each question paper; candidate must score at least 50% of maximum marks to qualify the theory exam i.e. candidate scoring 150 or more marks out of 300 shall be declared ‘pass’ in theory exam 

Candidate must score at least 50% in the aggregate of 3 papers to qualify the theory exam; Grace marks of up to 2% of maximum marks i.e. 6/ 300 shall be given only to the candidates falling in the zone of consideration i.e. securing between 144-149 marks out of 300 

b) Practical Exam 
Maximum Marks:
300; comprises of Clinical Exam and Viva; candidate must obtain a minimum of 50% marks in the Clinical Exam (including Viva) to qualify for the Practical Exam 

There are no grace marks in Practical Exam. A maximum of two attempts that can be availed by candidates for Practical Exam 

Declaration of DNB Final Results 

a. DNB final is a qualifying exam 

b. Results of DNB final exams (theory & practical) are declared as PASS/ FAIL 

c. The details of marks obtained/grading in final theory/ practical Exams will be provided to unsuccessful candidates. Procedure for obtaining question wise marks can be seen at NBE website

Eligibility:

Nativity: Applicant should be an Indian citizen. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders will be treated on par with Indian citizens for the limited purpose of admission.

Both Keralites and Non-Keralites are eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination. Applicants of Kerala origin will be categorized as ‘Keralites’. Others will be categorized as ‘Non-Keralites’. Non-Keralites are classified as ‘Non-Keralite Category-I’ and ‘Non-Keralite Category-II’.

Keralites: - A candidate of Kerala origin will be categorized as a Keralite. A candidate will be considered as a ’Keralite’, for the limited purpose of eligibility for admission, if (a) he, she or his, her father, mother was born in Kerala OR (b) he, she has been a resident of Kerala for a period of 5 years within a period of 12 years OR (c) he, she has undergone his, her school studies from Standards VIII to XII in educational institution(s) in Kerala. The candidate should obtain relevant certificates in the application form as prescribed in the Prospectus to avail such benefit.

Candidates who are children of All India Service (AIS) officers allotted to Kerala cadre, claiming Keralite Status, should produce a certificate from the competent authority showing that the parent of the candidate is an AIS officer allotted to Kerala cadre.

Non-Keralite Category-I: - ‘Non-Keralite Category-I’ candidates are those who have undergone the qualifying course in Kerala, and who are the sons, daughters of Employees of the Government of India, or, employees who are serving in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala, subject to the condition that, all categories of the employees mentioned above should have served in Kerala for a minimum period of 2 years, or, have served in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala for a minimum period of 2 years. Non-Keralite Category-II: - Candidates who do not belong to the ‘Keralite’ or ‘Non- Keralite Category-I’ will be treated as ‘Non-Keralite Category-II'. They are eligible for admission ONLY to the ‘State Merit’ seats in the Private Self-financing Engineering Colleges in the State and in the Management Quota seats in Self-financing Engineering institutions under Government control. Non-Keralite candidates will not be considered for admission against reserved seats.

Academic Qualification:

Medical Courses: Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology, Biotechnology, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Biotechnology put together. Those who wish to take admission to MBBS, BDS courses should secure 50% marks in the Medical Entrance Examination (As per the guidelines issued by Medical Council of India). Candidates should prove their academic eligibility on the date of admission.

Eligibility of BSc Degree holders: Those who apply based on their BSc. Degree, for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BSMS Courses, should have obtained their BSc. Degree with one of the subjects, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology as Main, and any one or two of these subjects as subsidiaries, with 50% marks for Main and Subsidiaries taken together, provided they have passed the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects.

Agriculture, Veterinary Courses: Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together. Candidates seeking admission to BVSc. & AH course, in addition to the qualification prescribed above, should have passed the qualifying examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English put together (as per the regulation of Veterinary Council of India). Candidates should prove their academic eligibility on the date of admission

Note: Only those candidates who have secured a minimum of 10 marks each for Paper I and Paper II in the Medical Entrance Examination will be included in the Medical rank list for admission to Ayurveda, Siddha, Homoeo, Veterinary, Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry Courses. SC, ST candidates will not have any minimum mark restriction for inclusion in the rank list.

Engineering Courses: The rank list for Engineering Courses will be prepared by giving equal weightage to the marks obtained in the Entrance Examination and the Qualifying Examination. The marks secured for the subjects concerned (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Biology) in the Second year Higher Secondary or equivalent Examination will be added to the marks secured in the Entrance Examination for preparing the rank list. The marks of the Kerala State Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary Examination will be taken as it is given in the mark list. The marks of other Boards will be considered after affecting the normalization procedure as explained in clause 9.7.4 (b) of the Prospectus 2012. Only those candidates who have secured a minimum of 10 marks each for Paper I and Paper II will be included in the rank list. SC, ST candidates will not have any minimum mark restriction for inclusion in the rank list. Candidates who have passed the qualifying Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Biology put together are eligible for admission. Those candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination should attach the copy of mark list of Qualifying Examination duly attested by a Gazetted Officer along with the application. Those candidates who have appeared, appearing for the Qualifying Examination also are eligible to take the Entrance Examination. They should submit the copy of the mark sheet of the Qualifying Examination duly attested by a Gazetted Officer of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

Candidates having Three Year Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Examinations, Kerala or equivalent, having 50% marks in the final Diploma examination, are also eligible for admission. They will be eligible for admission only to the Special Reservation Quota of 4 seats reserved under DE category. Such candidates should prove their academic eligibility on the date of admission. However, the Diploma holders are not eligible for admission to the Engineering courses offered by Kerala Agricultural University.

Architecture Course: Candidates who have passed 10+2 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Mathematics as a subject of examination, with 50% marks in aggregate, Candidates who have passed 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central, State Governments with 50% aggregate marks , Candidates with International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination are eligible to apply. In addition, candidates will have to score 40% marks (80 marks out of 200) in the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture). Reserved category (SC, ST, SEBC) candidates should also have obtained 40% marks in NATA, as per guidelines of Council of Architecture. (For details, visit website nata).

Candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. course should also submit the Application form to the CEE. There is no State level Entrance Examination for this purpose. However such candidates should write the National Aptitude Test for Architecture and should forward the NATA score and mark list of the qualifying examination to the CEE.

Relaxation of marks in the Qualifying Examination: For all courses, a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination will be allowed to those candidates who belong to the communities listed under the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) and whose annual family income is up to Rs 4.5 lakhs (Rupees Four Lakhs and Fifty Thousand only). SC, ST candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination. But candidates belonging to SEBC categories, seeking admission to MBBS, BDS courses, need 45% marks in Biology, Biotechnology and 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Biotechnology put together, in the qualifying examination and 40% marks in Medical Entrance Examination. Candidates belonging to SC, ST categories need 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Biotechnology put together in the qualifying examination and 40% marks in the Entrance Examination for seeking admission to MBBS, BDS Courses. Candidates with Locomotory Disability between 40% and 70% need only 45% marks for Biology, Biotechnology and 45% marks for Biology, Biotechnology, Physics and Chemistry taken together as academic eligibility for MBBS course. They need only 45% marks in the Entrance Examination to qualify for MBBS course.

Age: The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2017

The Entrance Examinations will be held at all the District Centres in Kerala, New Delhi and Dubai (UAE), on the dates mentioned below as per Indian Standard Time (IST)

How To Apply:

KEAM Online submission of application through the website is required to apply for the Entrance Examination for admission to all the courses (Medical & Allied, Engineering and Architecture). If candidate submits more than one printout of the application, his/her candidature is liable to be cancelled

Application Fees

A candidate who does not belong to SC, ST communities will be treated as ‘General’ candidate for the collection of application fee. The application fee for all candidates will be as follows:

For General Candidates: Rs.1000/-

For SC Candidates: Rs. 500/-

ST candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. Security Cards (free of cost) and Prospectus will be distributed through Tribal Welfare Offices on production of ST Certificate

Candidates choosing 'Dubai' as Exam Centre will have to remit an additional fee of Rs.12000/- by way of a Demand Draft drawn on a Nationalised Bank, in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram along with the printout of the application

Mode of Payment

Candidate can pay application fee in either of the two following methods:

Security Card: Security Card and Prospectus can be obtained from selected Post Offices in Kerala and outside the State, on payment of the prescribed fee (Rs.1000/- or Rs. 500/- as the case may be), by cash

Step1: Please download the e-brochure from KEA Website http://kea.kar.nic.in and read the instructions carefully before start entering the application online. Enter all the details online by browsing URL on web http://kea.kar.nic.in by selecting "CET-2017 UG Online Application"; after completion of entry of all the details candidate’s will receive an application ID & Password to their registered mobile phone number and to email address and also the same information will be displayed on the screen 

Step 2: Upload the scanned copy of recent passport size Colour Photograph, Signature and Left Hand Thumb Impression in JPG, JPEG format separately 

Step 3: Print the Challan copy that is in triplicate. Candidates of Karnataka origin have to pay an amount of Rs.650/- for General and OBC (Rs.500/- for SC,ST Category-1 of Karnataka candidates only); Rs.750/- in case of candidates residing outside the state of Karnataka & Rs.5,000/- in case of candidates residing outside India. 

The candidates who are residing outside India shall pay the fees in the form of DD drawn in favour of Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, payable at Bangalore 

Step 4: Take a printout of the application form on A-4 Size paper. Obtain Principal seal and signature from the college where you have studied 2nd PUC or 12th Standard on the space provided in the printed form; the same copy should be produced during document verification

Online Applications are invited for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) - 2017 (NEET-UG-2017) to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS, BDS Courses in India in Medical, Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of

India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry 

The NEET (UG) - 2017 will be conducted on Sunday, the 07th May 2017 

Medical (MBBS and BDS) Seats offered through NEET 2017 

Admissions to all seats of MBBS, BDS courses will be done through National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) 2017. The seats are classified in the following categories: 

(i) All India Quota Seats 

(ii) State Govt. Quota Seats where the State Govt. concerned so opts 

(iii) Private, Management, NRI Quota Seats in all Private Medical, Dental Colleges or any Private, Deemed University 

Eligibility Criteria 

(i) Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRI’s), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI’s), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO’s) & Foreign Nationals are eligible for appearing in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG), 2017 

(ii) The candidate must have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December 2017 i.e. the year of his,her admission to the 1st year MBBS,BDS Course 

(iii) The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission in MBBS, BDS seats shall be 25 years as on the date of examination with a relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC category 

For Candidates of Unreserved Category (UR) - born on or between 08th May 1992 & 01st January 2001 

For Candidates of SC, ST, OBC Category - born on or between 08th May 1987 and 01st January 2001 

(iv) The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at NEET (UG) shall be limited to 3 (Three) uniformly for all the candidates 

(v) The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Bio-technology at the qualifying exam 

In respect of candidates belonging to SC, ST or OBC, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Bio-technology taken together in qualifying exam be 40% instead of 50% for General candidates 

Further, for persons for locomotor disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH, ST-PH, OBC-PH are required. Those who are appearing in Class XII Exam in 2017 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later 

NEET (UG) 2017 Exam Pattern 

Pattern of the Entrance Test 

The Entrance Test shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen provided by CBSE at centre only 

The duration of test would be 03 hours (10.00 am to 01.00 pm) 

Language of the Question Papers 

(i) Candidates can opt for Question Paper either in English or in Hindi; (ii) Option of medium of Question Paper should be exercised while filling in the application form and the option once exercised by candidates cannot be changed later; (iii) Candidates opting for English would be provided Test Booklet in English only and the candidates opting for Hindi would be provided Bilingual Test Booklet i.e. in Hindi and in English 

Syllabus for the Test 

The Question Papers for the test shall be based on a common syllabus notified by the Medical Council of India (Please see Appendix-I for details) Centres Cities for Entrance Test 

List of cities where the NEET will be conducted is given at Appendix-II. In case, the number of candidates opting a city as centre is less, Board reserves its discretion not to fix the centre in that City

Candidate should select Three Convenient City Codes for the entrance Test from Appendix-II 

Reservation of Seats & Admission in Medical, Dental Colleges 

1. An All India merit list and All India Rank of the qualified candidates shall be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test and candidates shall beadmitted to MBBS, BDS courses from the said list only by following the Existing Reservation Policies 

2. All admission to MBBS, BDS courses within in the respective categories shall be based solely on marks obtained in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test 

3. All other existing eligibility criteria for admission to Medical, Dental Colleges shall be applicable as per Rules and Policies of the State, UT, Institution, University concerned 

Counselling Details 

CBSE will provide All India Rank. Result will be given to DGHS, MHFW, and Govt. of India to provide the same to admitting authorities 

Admitting authorities will invite applications for counselling and merit list shall be drawn based on All India Rank by the admitting authorities subject to their applicable rules 

Fee Details 

For General, OBC Candidates: Rs.1400/- (INR) 

For SC, ST, PH Candidates: Rs.750/- (INR) 

Candidates if required may take the assistance of Common Services Centres for filling up the application form; the details of the common services centres are given on the website www.aipmt.nic.in 

How to Apply 

Candidates can apply only online (www.cbseneet.nic.in

Online Submission of Application may be made by accessing the Board’s Website www.cbseneet.nic.in. Instructions for submitting online application and payment of fee are available on website 

Candidates may remit the fee in the following manner: 

a) Through any Debit, Credit Card using online gateway payment facility or; 

b) Through e-Challan by depositing fee in CBSE’s Bank Account maintained by Syndicate Bank, State Bank of India, ICICI Bank or HDFC Bank directly by downloading the e-Challan Form from the Website of www.cbseneet.nic.in [For candidates deciding to pay fee through e-Challan, last date for submission of online application is 01st March 2017] 

c) Net Banking 

d) e-wallet of Common Service Centre (CSC) 

Requirement of Aadhaar Number: 

For Indian citizens and ordinary residents of India, Aadhaar Number is a requirement to fill up the online application of NEET-2017 in all States except J&K, Assam and Meghalaya 

For NRIs, Passport Number is the mandatory requirement for filling up of the online application of NEET-2017 

For Foreign Nationals, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI’s), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO’s), Passport Number is the mandatory requirement for filling up of the online application of NEET-2017

At the time of filling application form of NEET-2017, the candidates will have to enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth & gender and hereby give their consent to CBSE to validate the information provided by them with the UIDAI’s database. In case, these particulars do not match, the candidate will not be able to fill the application form of NEET-2017 

Therefore, the candidates are advised to ensure that their AADHAAR card has correct details of their name, date of birth & gender as per school records. If there is some mismatch in these details, the candidates should immediately get it corrected in AADHAAR data or school records, as the case may be 

Regarding requirement of AADHAAR a separate PUBLIC NOTICE is being published and also hosted on website. Candidates may follow the instructions given therein
