·         Before applying online or registering for application, candidates should have the following:-

1.    A valid Email ID (If One do not have an email address we recommend creating a Gmail account)

2.    A colour face close-up photograph taken within the last 3 months to reflect your current appearance. Taken in front of a plain white or off-white background. Taken in full-face view directly facing the Camera

3.    Your photograph in digital form with Maximum Size : 30Kb, Image Dimension : 150W X 200H pixel resolution and the Image should be in JPEG

Steps for Online Application Registration (OARS Portal) process:-

1.    On visiting the website for filling the application form, the candidates will be allotted a password to access the application form after registering into Application portal using a valid email – id. While you initiate the process of application you will get a password through your email, which is required to be used till the admission process is completed. Hall ticket can also be downloaded only by using this password (Keep record of your username and password for your reference).

2.    Start filling up the application form with all details as per the following steps:

3.    Do not leave any column unfilled. Incomplete application will be rejected, such as if photo not uploaded or payment pending or any column not filled

4.    Upload soft copy of Candidate's photo as per the specifications mentioned above and save.

5.    Complete the online application form and pay Application Fee of -

BAMS – Ayurveda: Rs. 1,000/- (One Thousand Rupees)

- by using Net banking/ Debit card/ Credit card.

If transaction of payment failed, you will receive SMS (due to network technical error). In this case, you need to pay once again after sometime to make the payment successful and after successful payment you may click “submit” button for pdf form of application.

6.    Refund of Application Fee (if transaction failed) : -

If transaction failed, the debited amount will be refunded automatically to your account within 10 working days.

7.    Once submitted, a pdf form of application will be generated and you will receive SMS stating “You have successfully submitted your application and Registration Number is” as well as by e-mail.

8.    Keep a soft copy of submitted application form for future reference without fail.

Conditions applicable only for Medical Sciences stream: MBBS degree from any university recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI). National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) is an autonomous body of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India. National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) is an autonomous body of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India. The Centre is a premier organisation for education, training, R&D and consultancy in IT and electronics. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as a state of complete physical, mental and social well being. Health is often defined as the absence of any diseases. Although our understanding of disease biology has grown rapidly in recent decades with the advent of modern technologies including proteomics and genomics, underlying mechanisms of many diseases remain obscure. Hence unraveling the biology of complex diseases is an extremely high priority requirement. Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology's (RGCB) Disease Biology Research does innovative research in cellular and molecular mechanisms of human, animal and plant diseases. The program is designed to make the institute a world-class research establishment in molecular and medical aspects of human, animal and plant disease biology integrating theory, modeling, simulation and experiential science encompassing disciplines such as biology, genetics, chemical biology, immunology and many other disciplines.

PhD program (January 2020 session) in various domains of disease biology

Eligibility:

1.     Candidates with a post-graduate degree in Life/Chemical/Agricultural/Environmental/ Veterinary/Pharmaceutical/Medical Sciences or with an MCI certified MBBS degree are eligible to apply.

2.     Only candidates who have completed their qualifying degree in all respects will be considered.

3.     Applicants with UGC/CSIR/ICMR/DBT/DST-INSPIRE fellowships must have a first class in their qualifying examination. These fellowships must be valid six months from the date of Advertisement.

4.     Applicants, who do not have any fellowship, should have a minimum of 70% mark (CGPA - 7.0) for the qualifying degree.

5.     SC/ST candidates should have a minimum of 55% marks (CGPA-5.5) for their qualifying degree.

6.     A limited number of Institute stipends will be available for those selected candidates without a research fellowship. This conditional financial support will be a subsistence allowance for an initial period of two years during which they will be strongly encouraged to seek their own fellowship from external agencies so that the PhD program continues uninterrupted.

7.     Upper age limit is 28 years as on the April 01, 2019. Age limit will be relaxed for SC/ST candidates as per Government of India Regulations.
