Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi has invited applications from eligible candidates for appearing in Common Entrance Test(IPU CET 2017), the result of which will be considered for admission to following listed programmes of its centres for the academic year 2017-18
About IPU CET: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) conducts IPU CET, a common entrance exam for eligible candidates to avail admissions in the various courses offered by the university.

The admissions to the programmes of studies in the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) are primarily through common entrance tests (CET) conducted by the University or on merit of the qualifying degrees.

IPU CET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must read the IPU CET 2017 eligibility criteria thoroughly before applying for the exam.

Here are the GGSIPU-CET-2017 Eligibility requirements:

Candidates must have passed class 12th from a recognized board

A minimum aggregate of 55% in class 12th is a prerequisite, but the candidate must have passed all subjects (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) separately

The candidates must have passed English subject (core, elective or functional)

They should be 21 years old as on the date of examination

The candidates appearing in Class 12th exam in 2017 are eligible to apply provided that they should be able to meet the eligibility criteria at the time of IPU-CET counseling.
The appearing candidates are required to present the 12th class mark sheets at the time of counseling

Age Limit

(As on 01st August 2017 candidate should not be more than)

i) For all Undergraduate Programmes where entry qualification is 12th pass other than MBBS, BDS - 21st years

ii) For MBBS, BDS - 35 years

iii) For all other Post Graduate Programs where entry qualification is graduation - 45 years

iv) Bachelor of Vocation - 45 year

Note

1. Candidate should be not less than 17 years as on 31st December 2017 for BHMS, BAMS, MBBS, BDS Program

2. For MPH (FE) Programme, upper age limit is 45 years for in service candidates and 35 years for direct candidates, as in August 2017

3. For BHMS candidates, the candidate must have attained or will attain the age of 17 years as in December 2017

4. For Bachelor of Vocation Programmes the candidate should not be less than 16 years in December 2017

5. For SC, ST, OBC category candidates for MBBS,BDS CET, a relaxation of 5 years shall be granted on the maximum age specified.

IPU CET 2017 Admit Card

All candidates must possess their IPU CET 2017 Admit Card while appearing for the entrance test

Admit card can be downloaded from the university website just 7 days prior to the CET exam date

Applicants can download IPU CET 2017 Hall Ticket by using their login and password. The applicants must carry two hard copies of the admit card, with 2 passport photographs on it, on the day of the exam

Candidates must preserve the Admit Card of IPU CET 2017 till the time of counselling, admission

IPU CET 2017 Exam Pattern

Candidates must read the exam pattern of IPU CET 2017 to know about various aspects of the exam and question paper such as number, type and weightage of the questions, exam duration and marking scheme. IPU CET 2017 Exam pattern is given below:

The test will be comprised of total 150 questions

The questions are asked from the syllabus of class 11th and 12th

The total time for the entrance test will be 150 minutes

For B.Tech the question will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Maths

There is equal weightage for all the three subjects

The questions will be of objective type having four answers

There will be negative marking for the wrong answers

Four marks will be given for a correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer

The entrance exam for B.Tech will be conducted in first week of May 2017 where as the entrance exam for B.Tech (Biotechnology) will be conducted in third week of May 2017

Interested candidates are required to fill the application form online, latest by last week of March 2017

How to Apply:

IPU CET 2017 Application Form

To apply for the exam and admission process, the candidates will be required to fill IPU CET 2017 Application Form. The forms could be obtained from the official website of IP University, from last week of March 2017

Procedure to Fill Online Application Forms: Fill the details and click on Next to proceed. Use Mouse to move between fields for entry of data instead of using Tab Key. Fields marked with are mandatory. Once a candidate has submitted his,her details, they cannot edit the same and have to re register in case they need to change any personal information.

General Instructions

The detailed instructions about the online counselling, User Manual, FAQs shall be available on the University website www.ipu.ac.in & www.ipuadmissions.nic.in. Candidates are advised to go through the details thoroughly at these sites before registration. This information shall be available before the start of the online counselling. Aspirants, candidates should keep seeing the University website(s) in this regard.

The candidates must read the conditions of eligibility as given in the Admission Brochure carefully and must satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility for admission in various programmes before registering online for admission and submitting the fees

Submission of Counselling Participation Fee

Candidate has to deposit a nonrefundable Rs.1000,- plus charges as applicable, as one time (non refundable) Counselling Participation Fee, as per the schedule for each CET Code

For depositing the Counselling Participation Fee, the candidate has to visit the GGSIP University admission website www.ipuadmissions.nic.in and select the option for “payment of counselling participation fee" enters CET details viz CET Roll No, Date of Birth and Mobile Number. After submission of the details as mentioned in para 2 the candidate will get two options of payment:

i) Cash payment (challan will be generated and fee may be deposited through cash in any branch of Indian Bank)

ii) Net Banking, Credit Card and Debit Card

The candidates are required to check the status of fee payment on the website www.ipuadmissions.nic.in and must take the printout of online fee confirmation receipt with the transaction details, to be retained for all future reference. In case of payment of fee through Challan, the candidate must retain the copy of the Challan after depositing the fees

Candidate may also get the registration form from the Principal of the opted examination centre by paying Rs. 200/-.

Paper Pattern for DAVUET 2017: The question paper shall be based on CBSE syllabi of 10+1 and 10+2.

Question paper will be in English language only and questions will be of multiple choices (MCQ) type.

Each question will have 4choices out of which only one correct answer has to be chosen and the appropriate circle is to be shaded on the provided OMR sheet.

Each question will carry one mark.

Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT), Panipat has announced the exam dates for National Admission Test (NAT 2017), which will be conducted in May 2017. APIIT NAT will be held on Sunday, May 07, 2017.

APIIT NAT is conducted for taking admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program offered in various disciplines at various schools for the session 2017. Students may opt to appear in any designated centers or may opt for the online test. Students applying for online test will have to specify the online test code and would get a unique ID and password through SMS or email 3 hours before the start of the online test.

Eligibility Criteria for APIIT NAT 2017:

Candidates should have:

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Computer.

Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

Any other qualification considered as equivalent by the university.

Educational Rating and Assessment Foundation (ERA) has announced the exam dates for Under–Graduate Engineering Entrance Exam (Uni-GAUGE 2017) which will be conducted in May 2017. The Uni-GAUGE exam will be held on Sunday, May 14, 2017. Uni-GAUGE will be an online computer based test and will be held at centers across the country to provide candidates seeking admission to Under-Graduate Engineering courses at Participating Member Universities/institutions of ERA Foundation for the academic year 2017-18.

Eligibility Criteria for Uni-GAUGE 2017:

The qualifying examinations prescribed for admission is 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognized by State / Central Government; the last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subject, (Biology or Biotechnology instead of chemistry for BE/B-Tech and Bio Technology) or any other technical vocational courses as one of the optional subject, with English as a compulsory subject)

Candidate should have a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates).

The candidates who are appearing for the prescribed qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

Application Procedure for Uni-GAUGE 2017:

Candidates can apply online.

The prescribed registration fee of Rs. 1,500/- should be remitted through payment gateway provided using a credit card or a debit card /Net banking.

Paper Pattern for Uni-GAUGE 2017:

The paper will consist of 60 MCQs each in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and contain four options for each question.

Candidates have to click one of the options using your computer mouse which can be reviewed or re-answered any time during the duration allotted for the subject in the examination.

For M.Sc Programs: Requirement for admission to all science programs is a minimum aggregate of 50% or second division marks in group (optional) subjects in the qualifying examination.

·         Candidates can download the application form.

Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K) has announced the exam dates for COMEDK-Under Graduate Entrance Test (COMEDK-UGET 2017), which will be conducted in May 2017. The COMEDK-UGET will be held on Sunday, May 14, 2017.

COMEDK-UGET is conducted for taking admission to undergraduate engineering programs in Comedk member institutions for the academic session 2017. For the first time Comedk UGET 2017 entrance exam will be an online computer based test and will be held at centers across the country to facilitate the students to take their exam closer to their homes and to minimize the cost of travel and other logistics.

For admission, the candidate must pass any of the aforementioned examinations, with at least five recognized subjects (full marks not less than 100), including English language 

For candidates with International ‘A’ level or International Baccalaureate qualifications, at least three subjects at the IGCSE level and three subjects at the ‘A’ level are required, with English in either of the two levels. If required, such candidates may seek help from the Chair Persons of the Admission Committee of the Presidency University

Requirements in terms of Residential/Domicile Criteria a) There is no particular Residential/Domicile requirement to appear in the PUBDET-2017

Pattern of Question Papers

The medium of tests will be English except for vernacular subjects like Hindi and Bengali. In every subject, all questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type, with four options against each of the questions. There will 50 (fifty) questions in each paper, full marks 100 and time 90 minutes 

Mode of answering in the Exam: 

a) Questions are to be answered on specially designed optical machine-readable response (OMR) sheet, which will be evaluated by the method of Optical Mark Recognition by specially designed machines and therefore it is very important to follow the correct method of marking 

b) There will be 4 (four) alternative answers for each question. Candidate will indicate response to the questions by darkening the appropriate circle completely with blue/black ball point pen 

c) Any other kind of marking e.g. filling the bubble incompletely, filling with pencil, cross mark, tick mark, dot mark, circular mark, over writing, scratching, erasing, white ink, marking outside the bubble etc. may lead to wrong/partial/ambiguous reading of the response

How to Apply

The form is interactive in nature; there are two major steps in application form submission as follows: 

Step-1 Registration 

Candidate has to input name, date of birth, gender, mobile number and e-mail id. Candidate must take utmost care to give these inputs. If mistakes are committed, there is no chance of correction 

The mobile number and e-mail id entered will be used for all subsequent communication. Candidates also have to choose a log-in ID and password and remember them, which he/she will use for future log-in 

PUBDET candidates have to first choose group-A or group-B of subjects and then choose maximum two subjects from his/her choice of group 

Fee Submission 

Candidate will have to pay the exam fee online (by Net Banking /Debit /Credit Cards) or Offline (by e-Challan) 

The Amount of Application Fees to be paid for appearing in the PUBDET-2017 is Rs.400/- (Rupees four hundred only) plus the Bank’s Service Charges as applicable. The Exam Fees can be paid in cash less mode by ‘Net Banking’/‘Debit Card’/‘Credit Card’ or in cash using Allahabad Bank e-challan

If offline mode is chosen, an e-challan will be generated automatically. Candidate need to take a print of the challan and pay the fee in any branch of Allahabad Bank
