The NIMCET 2015 is NIT MCA Common Entrance Test 2015, a National Level Test conducted by NITs for admission in to their MCA programme. The admission to the MCA programme in to NITs at Agartala,  Allahabad,  Bhopal,  Calicut,  Durgapur,  Jamshedpur,  Kurukshetra,  Raipur,  Surathkal,  Tiruchirappalli and Warangal for the year 2015-16 is based on the Rank obtained in NIMCET 2015 ONLY

Eligibility Criteria:

·        Indian Nationals securing@  at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale in case of SC,  ST) in

1.     BSc,  BSc (Hons),  BCA,  BIT of minimum three years full-time

OR

2.     BE, BTech or equivalent from a recognized University is eligible to appear for NIMCET 2015.

·        Candidates who are appearing for final year,  semester of B.Sc, B.Sc (Hons),  BCA, BIT of minimum 3 years or BE, BTech in the academic year 2015-16 are also eligible to apply for NIMCET 2015. Such candidates shall have to furnish the proof (in the form of a certificate issued by the head of institution where the candidate has studied) that he, she is appearing for the examinations during the academic year 2015-16 and can submit the proof of fulfilling the eligibility criteria of NIMCET 2015 preferably at the time of Counseling, Admission but not later than 15th September, 2015, failing which their admission is liable to be cancelled by the respective NITs. NIMCET 2015 will not reserve a seat to a candidate due to any reason claimed for not fulfilling the eligibility criteria including the delay in publishing the results by the concerned University, institute.

·        Students who have completed, completing degree BSc, BSc (Hons), BCA, BIT of 3 years from Open Universities are also eligible to apply provided their programme is approved by UGC, AICTE and Distance Education Council (DEC) of Govt. of India.

·        The percentages of marks in qualifying degree are to be calculated on the basis of marks obtained in all the subjects studied in all the years including languages, optional and additional subjects studied, if any. The aggregate of all the subjects in all the years computed using this method of calculation alone be considered by NIMCET 2015 for deciding eligibility.

Online Submission of Application Forms

Candidates should pay the non-refundable processing fee (Rs. 1800/- for OPEN/OBC and Rs. 900/- for SC/ST) through NIMCET-2015 website only before final submission of the online application form in the website

Candidates should register on NIMCET-2015 website with login, password and then fill all the details as per the Online Form

After successful filling of data online and pressing submit button, a complete application form with unique application number will be generated. Candidate must quote this unique application number in future correspondences till the test is conducted

CSIR will hold the Joint CSIR-UGC Test Tentatively on 21st  June, 2015 (Date likely to be changed) for determining the eligibility of the Indian National candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET and for determining eligibility for appointment of Lecturers (NET) in certain subject areas falling under the faculty of Science & Technology. The award of Junior Research Fellowship (NET) to the successful eligible candidates will depend on their finding admission/placement in a university / national laboratory / institution of higher learning and research, as applicable.

A candidate may apply either for ‘JRF’ OR for ‘Lectureship (LS) only’ He/she may indicate his/her preference in the Online Application, as the case may be. CSIR may consider candidates for ‘JRF’, or ‘Lectureship only” depending on number of fellowships available & performance in the test subject to the condition that they fulfill the laid down eligibility criterion. If a candidate is found to be over-age for JRF (NET) he/she will automatically be considered for Lectureship (NET) only, except for Engineering Sciences. Engineering Sciences candidates will only be eligible for CSIR JRF ship and are advised to opt for JRF only in the application form. Candidates who qualify M.Sc. OR under M.Sc. RA category shall be eligible for LS in the subjects except Engineering Sciences, subject to the eligibility criteria as laid down by the UGC.

Two separate merit lists, one comprising the candidates qualifying for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF - NET) and the second, of those candidates qualifying the Eligibility Test for Lectureship (NET), will be made on the basis of their performance in the above Test. Candidates qualifying for JRF (NET), except Engineering Sciences will also be eligible for Lectureship (NET) subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria laid down by UGC. The candidates qualifying for Lectureship will be eligible for recruitment as Lecturers as well as for JRF-ship in a Scheme/Project, if otherwise suitable. However, they will not be eligible for Regular JRF-NET Fellowship. If a candidate is found to be overage for JRF (NET) he/she will automatically be considered for Lectureship-(NET) only. Candidates qualifying for the award of JRF (NET) will receive fellowship either from CSIR or UGC as per their assignment or from the Schemes with which they may find association. The candidates declared eligible for Junior Research Fellowship under UGC scheme and Lectureship will be governed by UGC rules/regulations in this regard.

The final result of this Single MCQ test may be declared sometime in the month of September/October, 2015 and fellowship to successful candidates will be effective from 1st Jan, 2016 with the validity period of 2 years for joining the fellowship under CSIR Scheme.

Eligibility:

1.     EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

BS-4 years program/BE/BTech/BPharma/MBBS/Integrated BS-MS/MSc or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks for general and OBC (50% for SC/ST candidates, physically and Visually Handicapped candidates).

 

Candidates enrolled for M.Sc or having completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination are also eligible to apply in the above subject under the Result Awaited (RA) category on the condition that they complete the qualifying degree with requisite percentage of marks within the validity period of two years to avail the fellowship from the effective date of award.

Such candidates will have to submit the attestation format (Given at the reverse of the application form) duly certified by the Head of the Department/Institute from where the candidate is appearing or has appeared.

BSc (Hons) or equivalent degree holders or students enrolled in Integrated MS-PhD program with at least 55% marks for general and OBC candidates; 50% marks for SC/ST candidates, physically and visually handicapped candidates are also eligible to apply. Candidates with bachelor’s degree, whether Science, engineering or any other discipline, will be eligible for fellowship only after getting registered/enrolled for PhD/Integrated PhD program within the validity period of two years.

The eligibility for lectureship of NET qualified candidates will be subject to fulfilling the criteria laid down by UGC. PhD degree holders who have passed Master’s degree prior to 19th September 1991, with at least 50% marks are eligible to apply for Lectureship only.

The candidates with the above qualification are advised to fill up their degree with percentage of marks in column No. 18 to 21, as applicable.

2.     AGE LIMIT& RELAXATION

For JRF (NET): Maximum 28 years as on 01-01-2015 (upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, Physically handicapped/Visually handicapped and female applicants).

For LS (NET): No upper age limit.

The subject wise schedule of examination will be notified later on. The subject wise Schedule, date and timing of the Test is liable to be changed at the discretion of CSIR. To enable the candidates to go through the instructions printed on the OMR Answer Sheets and also to correctly fill up the required particulars in the said OMR Answer Sheet, the same will be distributed 15 minute before the schedule time of start of the examination. The question paper booklet shall be distributed 5 minutes before the scheduled time of the exam & candidates are permitted to take duplicate copy of their OMR Answer Sheet while leaving the exam venue. The actual number of questions in each part and section to be asked & attempted may vary from exam to exam.

Candidates should use only black ball point pen and not pencil to fill in their particulars in the OMR Answer Sheet/Question Paper Booklet and also to darken the appropriate circle to mark their answers in their OMR answer sheet. Candidates are not permitted to erase, scratch out or use whitener fluid/eraser fluid to change their answers in the OMR sheet otherwise that particular answer will not be evaluated.

The Question Booklet for this test will be printed in Hindi & English Version except in Engineering Sciences, where the question booklet will be printed in English version only. The candidate opting for Hindi medium in the Application Form, will be given bilingual Question Booklet and Candidate opting for English medium including candidates in Engineering Sciences, will be given Question Booklet printed in English Version only. The candidate will be required to answer as per option exercised in the application Form.

 

4.     SYLLABUS OF THE TEST

The question paper shall be divided into three parts, (A, B & C) as per syllabus & Scheme of Exam.

# Part 'A' shall be common to all subjects including Engineering Sciences. This part shall contain questions pertaining to General Aptitude with emphasis on logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles etc.

# In Engineering Sciences, Part ‘B’ shall contain questions pertaining to Mathematics & Engineering Aptitude & Part ‘C’ shall contain subject related multiple choice questions (MCQs), generally covering the topics in the syllabus.

And for other disciplines:

# Part 'B' shall contain subject-related conventional Multiple Choice questions (MCQs), generally covering the topics given in the syllabus.

# Part 'C' shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate's knowledge of scientific concepts

and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem.

# Negative marking for wrong answers, wherever required, shall be applicable as per subject wise scheme of Exam.

5.     EXAMINATION CENTRES

The test will be held at 26 Centres spread all over India, as specified below:

Bangalore, Bhavnagar, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guntur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Jamshedpur, Karaikudi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Pilani, Pune, Raipur, Roorkee, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur and Varanasi.

A candidate may opt for any of the above centres. No request for change of centre would ordinarily be granted. However, a request in writing for change of Centre may be entertained on merits, if received in this unit latest by 20.04.2015.If sufficient number of candidates do not opt for any of the above Centres, that particular Centre may stand deleted from the above list OR otherwise also, the concerned candidates may be allotted another Centre nearest to their place of residence, at the discretion of CSIR. No TA/DA will be admissible to any candidate for attending the test, in any circumstances.

7.     APPLY THROUGH ONLINE APPLICATION:

Interested & eligible candidates may apply Online through a link available at CSIR, HRDG website. In order to apply Online the candidates are required to download Bank challan Performa from the above website and then deposit the requisite examination fee in any of the Indian Bank branches throughout the country. Candidates after successfully submitting application online are required to take print out of the Application Form, paste his/her recent black & white photograph, put his/her signature at the required space, attach requisite certificates and send along with CSIR marked copy of fee deposited Bank Challan in an envelope super scribed with Subject Code, Centre Code & Medium Code to Sr. Controller of Examination, Human Resource Development Group, Examination Unit, CSIR Complex, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi-110012 so as to reach on or before 17.03.2015 (23.03.2015 for remote areas). Before applying Online, candidates are advised to go through detailed notification available at CSIR, HRDG website.

Online applications without hard copy or bank challan receipt or incomplete in any respect will be summarily rejected. Candidates should note that successful submission of online application does not mean that they have been registered for this test. To ensure their candidature, candidates should check their registration status on our website tentatively between 15th May, 2015 - 20th May, 2015 and afterwards their request shall not be considered.

Examination fee paid through Bank Challan for a particular examination will neither be adjusted for any subsequent examination nor refunded under any circumstances. Candidates should also check all the columns of Bank Challan, online application, which are to be filled in properly to avoid cancellation of application, Please note that Fee submitted by any other mode like money order, demand draft, IPO etc. will be summarily rejected.

IN ORDER TO AVOID LAST MINUTES RUSH, THE CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO APPLY EARLY ENOUGH. CSIR WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR NETWORK PROBLEM OR ANY OTHER SUCH TYPE OF PROBLEM.

8.     CANDIDATE SEEKING FEE CONCESSION

The candidate should attach an attested copy of his/her category certificate as a proof of his/her claim. An application form (through online), claiming any concession in fee, age & education qualification but without an attested copy of a valid SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH certificate from a competent authority and in prescribed format, will be summarily rejected.

Candidate must note that CSIR follows only Central Govt. lists and not state Govt. lists. Similarly, candidate applying under physically handicapped (PH)/ visually handicapped (VH) category may note that Govt. of India rules will be applicable in this regard, otherwise they shall not be eligible for any concession.

THE FEE MAY BE DEPOSITED IN ANY BRANCH OF INDIAN BANK ON ALL INDIA BASIS.

9.     THE LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM:

The copy of online application form, duly completed with requisite enclosure should be sent by Ordinary post to the Sr. Controller of Examination, Examination Unit, Human Resource Development Group, CSIR Complex, Opposite Institute of Hotel Management, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi 110012 so as to reach Examination Unit CSIR on or before 17.03.2015.

For candidates applying from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of J&K State, Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshdweep, the application form must reach the Sr. Controller of Examination CSIR on or before 23.03.2015.

The candidates are advised in their own interest to apply early enough to ensure timely receipt of their applications by the Examination Unit on or before the closing date. CSIR shall not be responsible for any postal delay/loss in transit of the application.

The salient features of The Orissa Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fee) Act, 2007 are as follows.

* Methods of admission in technical and professional educational institutions: Subject to provisions of this Act, admission of students in all the technical and private professional educational institutions, Government institutions and sponsored institutions to all seats including lateral entry seats, shall be made through JEE conducted by the Policy Planning Body followed by counseling order of merit, in accordance with such procedure as recommended by the said body and approved by the Government of Odisha in consonance with the provisions of OPEI(RA&FF) Act 2007.

* Prohibition of Capitation fee: No capitation fee shall be collected by a professional educational institution, sponsored institution or by any person who is in charge of the management of such institution, from any candidate in consideration of his admission to or continuance in any course of study or his promotion to higher class, in such institution under the management. Where the Policy Planning Body on receipt of any complaint or is otherwise satisfied that the management of such institution or any person who is in charge of the management of such institution has contravened the provisions of the previous section / para, the Body may, after making due enquiry in the manner prescribed, recommend to the Government for imposition of fine not exceeding Rupees Ten Lakhs against the management of such institution for such contravention.

OJEE PG 2015 Admit Card - Candidates who will appear for the Odisha JEE PG 2015 must download the Admit Card. The Download of OJEE PG 2015 Admit Card will be available from April 20, 2015 onwards. Candidates must remember that the Admit Card for Odisha JEE PG 2015 will not be dispatched by any.

Counseling Process: 

After deduction of the 5% of the seats for NRI quota, the rest of the seats will be allotted as - 50% for GATE qualified candidates and 50% for OJEE PG qualified candidates

Online registration and choice filling will be held in Mid June – June end, 2015

Candidates will have to report to nodal centre and get their documents verified

The original certificates and mark sheets along with photocopies of certificates, mark sheets and other related documents in two sets as per eligibility of the candidate must be produced during document verification

After Document verification, Seat Allotment will be done and allotted Candidates have to pay Rs.16,000 (Govt. Institution) or Rs.30,000 (Private Institution) through a separate A/c Payee Bank Draft drawn in favour of “OJEE-2015” on any Nationalised Bank payable at Bhubaneswar.

The balance after deduction of the University fee of Rs.4,500 (as per section 1.8.2) shall be paid to the admitting college for adjustment against the tuition and other fees payable to the college

Note: The fee of Rs.16,000 or Rs, 30,000 will be forfeited if the candidate  later decides not to join the college / course in the allotted college

The OJEE PG 2015 schedule of counselling and venue will be notified through the website as well as through the rank card.

Admission is strictly based on OJEE PG 2015 merit rank and choice of the candidate given during the counselling.

The MBA programme will be of two year duration; instruction will be imparted in three trimesters each year with a total of six trimesters in two years; students have to take courses totaling 86 credits to be eligible for the award of the MBA degree

MA in Social Entrepreneurship (MASE)

Following the vision of the School and realizing the growing importance of social entrepreneurship, the school launched a two-year (full-time) MA in Social Entrepreneurship (MASE) in 2014

The first year of the programme is common with the first year of the MBA programme, while the second year of the MASE programme exclusively focuses on concepts, issues and practices of social entrepreneurship and will be linked to the activities of the Incubation Centre for Social Entrepreneurship & Innovation.

ELIGIBILITY:

3-year Bachelor's Degree securing at least 50% of marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Disabled (PD).

Fee Structure: The fees for two year MBA programme payable to AUD is Rs. 225,500/- for Indian Students and Rs. 93500/- for Foreign Students

The fees for the year MASE programme payable at to AUD is Rs. 220,000/- for Indian Students and Rs. 388000/- for foreign students

The fees for the first year MBA and the first year MASE are payable at the time of taking admission to the programme in April-May 2015 and that for the second year will be payable at the beginning of the next academic session in June 2016.

Candidates who will complete all the requirements of their final year bachelor’s degree examinations by 10th June 2015are also eligible to apply to all the programmes, except the programmes offered by the School of Health Systems Studies; and for MA in Education (Elementary) candidates, 12th May 2015 provided they have successfully completed their first and second years, if the degree course is of 3 years; and the first, second and third years, if the degree course is of 4 years duration

JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP:

Junior Research Fellowship: Candidates qualifying for the award of Junior Research Fellowship will be eligible to receive fellowship of UGC under various schemes, subject to their finding placement in universities /IITs / institutions

The validity period of the offer is two years from the date of issue of JRF Award Letter

However, in case the candidates who have already joined MPhil / PhD, the date of commencement of fellowship shall be from the date of declaration of NET result or date of their joining, whichever is later

i.            Junior Research Fellowship: Not more than 28 years as on 01.12.2013. ii.            Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.

i.            Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test. Ø       MSc Wildlife Biology & Conservation: Indian nationals who have a Bachelors degree in any discipline (with a minimum of 50% in core subjects), less than 35 years of age as on July 1, 2014 and a strong interest in wildlife research and conservation. Graduate nationals of South and Southeast Asian countries, with similar qualifications, are also eligible to apply.

How to Apply:

APPLICATION FEE (Non-Refundable): Rs 500/- for applications submitted online and Rs 550/- for applications sent manually by post. Female candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. Payment can be made online by Credit/Debit cards OR by Demand Draft drawn on State Bank of India.
DD to be drawn in favour of "National Centre for Biological Sciences" payable at Bengaluru. Hall Tickets will be issued only after receipt of application fee. Online applicants sending DD (Rs 500/-) by post should write their reference code, name and telephone number behind the DD and send it to the address as given below. Students applying manually should send the DD for (Rs 550/-) along with the filled-in application form.

Post Graduate Program in Thermal Power Plant Technology (2013-2014)

Jindal Institute of Power Technology (JIPT) is recognized by Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Ministry of Power, Government of India as Category - I Institute. It is a part of US$ 18 billion 0. P. Jindal Group. The Institute possesses world class Simulators of 135 MW / 250 MW 600 MW generating units & state of the art infrastructure. The Institute aims to produce technically trained professionals for Power Utilities in India and abroad. The course authorizes the pass outs to operate or undertake maintenance of any part or whole of a generating station of 100 MW& above capacity, together with the associated sub stations, applications are invited from eligible candidates for spot admission against the vacant seats for admission to One Year full time Post Graduate Program in Thermal Power Plant technology (2013-2014).

Eligibility:

A full time BE / BTech from a recognized Institute in Mechanical / Electrical / EEE / Electronics / Control & Instrumentation with a minimum of 60% marks in Class X, XII and BE/BTech

Selection & On Spot Admission:

The candidates will be interviewed by a Selection Committee on 3rd October 2013. The candidates are required to come at JIPT, Tamnar, Raigarh along with two passport size photographs, one set of attested photocopies of all the certificates and a crossed demand draft of Rs. 60,000/- (in favour of JIPT, payable at Raigarh) towards first installment of the program fee. The classes for the selected candidates shall commence from 04th October 2013.

How to Apply:

The application form is to be filled online. Application Fee of Rs 1000/- is to be paid through Bank Demand Draft (in   the short listed candidates for favour of JIPT, payable at Raigarh). The candidates should   send the demand draft along with a print copy of the duly filled in application form by Speed Post to Jindal Institute of  Power Technology, Tamnar, Raigarh, Chhattisgarh - 496108.

The last date for receipt of application form and demand draft is 22nd September 2013.

The shoftlisted candidates for the On Spot Admission shall be intimated on or before 23rd September 2013 through E-mail / Phone / Website.
