About College:

Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) invites applications for admission to AICTE-approved Post graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) for the academic year 2017-2019. Established by the Government of India, it is considered one of the leading institute offering education, training and research in the field of tourism, travel and allied sectors. The Institute started off from its campus located in Gwalior and now it currently has various campuses located at Noida, Bhubaneshwar, Goa and Nellore. Post Graduate programmes offered at the Gwalior centre are all approved by Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to MBA. A degree in tourism and allied sectors may open up work avenues for you in travel agencies, event management, hospitality or hotel, logistics/cargo, airlines/ cruises/ railways and tourism boards.

Course Name:

BBA (Tourism & Travel)

Eligibility:

1) Candidates seeking admission in BBA (TT) programme shall be required to possess 10 + 2 examinations in any subject from a recognized University / Board with at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC / ST).

Candidates appearing in final year examination of 10+ 2 are also eligible to apply, subject to they must submit their result of 12th class with the requisite percentage of marks by August 31, 2020, failing which their admission will be cancelled and course fee deposited in the institute, will also be forfeited. (In this regards, the student must submit an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.100/- ).

And

2) Appear in written test “IGNTU IITTM Admission Test (IIAT)” to be conducted by IGNTU & IITTM. Admission Test will be held on June 7, 2020 (Sunday) (tentative) from 10:00 am to  12:00 pm at IITTM centres (i.e. Gwalior, Bhubaneswar, Noida & Nellore) and the other centers shortlisted, which will be notified later. The candidate has to write their answers on OMR Sheet. It will be an objective type test with four options of nearest answers carrying 100 questions / 100 marks [General Awareness (50 Marks), Verbal ability (25 Marks) and Quantitative ability (25 marks)]. One mark for each right answer and no negative marking for wrong answer.

3) Group Discussion And Personal Interview:

Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for GD and PI at any one of the IITTM centres, which they have to mark in the admission form:

MBA (Tourism and Travel Management)

Eligibility:

1) Candidates seeking admission to MBA (TTM) programme shall be required to possess a Bachelor degree from a recognized Indian or foreign university (as per the AIU foreign equivalence list) having secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in case of General and OBC categories and 45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories are eligible to apply.

Note: If the seats reserved for SC/ST remain vacant then the same will be filled by the SC/ST candidates who appear for entrance exam irrespective of their ranking in the exam.

Candidates appearing in final year examination of graduation are also eligible to apply, subject untilhe / she must submit their result of graduation with the requisite percentage of marks by September 30, 2020, failing which their admission will be cancelled and course fee deposited in the institute, will also be forfeited.(In this regards, the student must submit an affidavit on nonjudicial stamp paper of Rs.100/- ).

About College:

On 28th August 2006, the Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh announced for the establishment of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) at Bhubaneswar, which will be operated under the umbrella of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) of Govt. of India. He announced that theNISER will facilitate the synergy between research and higher education in science. He had stated categorically that NISER will be compared with the best institutions in the country in terms of facilities and faculty.The Atomic Energy Commission, in its 182nd meeting held on 16.03.2007 approved the proposal for establishment of NISER at Bhubaneswar. Till the permanent campus comes up, NISER will be functioning from the beautiful campus of the Institute of Physics (IOP), Bhubaneswar, a renowned Institute with state-of-art infrastructure that includes an excellent library, a large computer centre and a number of outstanding research laboratories. Dr. Viyogi, the director of Institute of Physics was given the official charge of NISER.

Integrated MSc-PhD Programme in Physics

Eligibility:

·         Candidates possessing a minimum of First class in Bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences or an equivalent degree with Physics as one of the main subjects or BE/B.Tech in Engineering Physics from a recognized University are eligible to apply.

·         Candidates who are appearing in their Final Examination for Bachelor’s Degree can also apply provided they submit an undertaking that they will submit the Qualifying degree certificates by the time of Interview.

The shortlisting will be based on JAM 2020/JEST 2020 Mark which will be followed by a test/interview for the final selection of candidates.

Eligibility:

Biological Sciences:

60% or equivalent GPA in Masters or M. Tech or M. Pharm in any branches of Agricultural Sciences, Biology, Life Sciences, Pharmacy (any specialization), Veterinary Sciences, Computer Sciences, Bioinformatics and Biotechnology. Students with Master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics having interest in pursuing a career in Biology are also encouraged to apply.

Candidates should have qualified at least one of the National Level Examinations i.e. CSIR-UGC-NET (LS or JRF)/ GATE/ JEST/ GPAT/ DBT/ ICMR/ JGEEBILS or any other equivalent national level examination valid for the academic year 2020-2021.

Chemical Sciences:

60% or equivalent GPA in Masters in Chemistry or allied Chemistry fields. Student with Master’s degree in any branches of Basic Sciences with undergraduate degree in Chemistry (or chemistry as one of the subjects) or M.Tech in applied Chemistry or Computer Sciences with interest in pursuing a career in Chemistry are also encouraged to apply.

Candidates should have qualified at least one of these National Level Examinations i.e. CSIR-UGC NET (LS or JRF)/ GATE valid for the academic year 2020-2021.

Computer Sciences:

60% or equivalent GPA in Masters in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or related fields, or Mathematics.

Candidates should have qualified at least one of these National Level Examinations i.e. CSIR-UGC-NET (LS or JRF)/ GATE/ JEST valid for the academic year 2020-2021.

Earth & Planetary Sciences:

60% or equivalent GPA in Masters in Physics, Chemistry, Space, Earth, Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences OR M.Tech in Space Technology, Hydrological and Earth System Sciences

Candidates should have qualified at least one of these National Level Examinations i.e. CSIR-UGC-NET (LS or JRF)/ GATE/ JEST valid for the academic year 2020-2021.

Humanities and Social Sciences:

55% or equivalent GPA in Masters in Social Sciences or in allied disciplines.

Candidates should have qualified at least one of the National Level Examinations i.e. UGC-NET (LS or JRF)/ ICSSR fellowship or any other equivalent national level examination valid for the academic year 2020-2021.

Mathematical Sciences:

60% or equivalent GPA in Masters in Mathematics or Computer Science

Candidates should have qualified at least one of these National Level Examinations i.e. CSIR-UGC-NET (LS or JRF)/ GATE/ NBHM* or any other equivalent national level examination valid for the academic year 2020-2021.

* A student will be considered to be qualified in National Level Written Examination conducted by NBHM if he/she has received call letter from NBHM to appear in the interview for PhD fellowship 2020 (irrespective of getting selected for NBHM PhD fellowship 2020 or not).

Physical Sciences:

60% or equivalent GPA in Masters in Physics or M.E/M.Tech in Applied Physics.

Candidates should have qualified at least one of these National Level Examinations i.e. CSIR-UGC-NET (JRF only)/ GATE/ JEST valid for the academic year 2020-2021.

How to apply:

·         The application form has to be filled up online through the website and candidates should follow stepwise instructions mentioned to complete the application submission process. At the time of application, along with this online form, the candidate should upload soft copy of the supporting documents as per the eligibility criteria.

·         Candidates intending to apply for more than one school should fill up online application forms for each school and submit separate forms with appropriate supporting documents.

·         Two sealed letters of reference in the prescribed format with signature of the referee on the envelope should be produced by the student at the time of interview. The Copy of the reference letter is available Online on the website.

·         NISER does not demand any application fee from the candidates who apply for Ph.D program.
