Eligibility:

Minimum qualification for admission to the PGDM program at the Institute is three / four years bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST) in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities.

Candidates appearing for final year or final semester of their graduate degree examination in academic year 2019-20 are also eligible to appear for the admission process. Such candidates, if called for interview, should submit the copy of admit card or a letter from the principal of the college where they are studying to that effect. Such candidates if finally selected at XISS, Ranchi must clear their graduation examination with 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST) by August 2020.

Also, a candidate desirous of seeking admission at Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi will have to appear in an all India level management admission test. XISS, Ranchi considers only the following three admission test scores for shortlisting the candidates:

·         Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT 2020) conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur (exam date: 5th January 2020)

·         Common Admission Test (CAT 2019) conducted by IIM, (exam date: November 24, 2019)and

·         (CMAT 2020) conducted by NTA, (exam date: January 24, 2020)are the only approved examinations through which a candidate can apply to XISS Ranchi

Admission Procedure:

The institute will accept only online registrations. process of filling up forms for seeking admission at XISS, Ranchi will remain open from 25th September 2019 to 7th February 2020.

The admission process followed by the Institute is as per the guidelines of AICTE. Interested applicants are required to follow the following steps:

1.    Applicants must register themselves at the XISS admission application window by pressing the ‘Apply Now’ button and enter necessary details. It will lead to the application form.

2.    For online registrations, the Registration Fee can be paid through online transactions using Credit / Debit / ATM cards / Online Banking and Application form fee is nonrefundable.

The registration fee varies according to number of specializations applied for:

About College:

The Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi is a Government of India institution and only of its nature in eastern India. The British established this hospital on 17th May 1918 with the name of Ranchi European Lunatic Asylum. It had then a capacity of 174 patients (92 male and 82 female). It catered to the needs of the European mental patients only and it was under the direct control and management of Government of Bihar. In 1922, it was put under the control of a Board of Trustees with various participating state governments represented in the Board and in the very same year its name was changed to European Mental Hospital.

Scholarship: Selected candidates will get scholarship of Rs. 25,000/- per month.

Course Name:

Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing

Duration: 1 year

Eligibility:

A’ Grade Certificate or Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery.

Selection Procedure

there will not be any written entrance examination, however, there will be an interview for selection of the candidates.

Scholarship: Selected candidates will get scholarship of Rs. 2500/- per month.

Eligibility:

Candidates with following qualification shall be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. Programme of the Institute:

(a)  Candidates possessing M.Tech./M.E./M.Sc. (Engg.)/M.Arch./M.Pharm./M.Plan./M.Sc./MCA/MBA or equivalent Degree in relevant branch from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a ten point scale in the qualifying examination are eligible to apply for admission in the relevant departments.

(b)  Candidates possessing B.Tech./B.E/B.Sc.(Engg.)/B.Pharm/B.Arch./B.Plan. or equivalent Degree in relevant branch from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 80% marks or 8.0 CGPA on a ten-point scale in the qualifying examination and a valid GATE/GPAT score with a minimum of 80 percentile are eligible to apply for admission in the departments as per their Specialization. (In this case, the candidates need to pass in more numbers of qualifying Pre-PhD papers; the concerned detail is described in Ph.D. Ordinance 2018 -Section 9.1).

(c)  Sponsored candidates must have minimum of two years of professional work experience, besides fulfilling the above criteria. In addition, such candidates should have valid sponsorship at least for three years.

RELAXATION FOR SC/ ST CANDIDATES

Eligibility criteria will be relaxed by 5% marks for SC / ST candidates.

Note:

1.    NOC from the Institute is mandatory for employees of the Institute which shall be obtained before appearing at the admission test for the Ph.D. programme.

2.    Employees from other organizations shall produce NOC from his/her respective employers at the time of admission.

3.    In case of the candidates with other grade point scale, the decision of the equivalence made by the assigned committee of the Institute shall be final.

FELLOWSHIP AVAILABLE:

A limited number of Institute Research Fellowship (IRF) with a fellowship amount of Rs. 25,000/- per month for the first two years and Rs. 28,000/- per month for the next two years is available depending on the performance. The minimum marks required for IRF may vary across the departments and department wise minimum marks shall be decided by an appropriate committee. These IRFs shall be distributed based on the performance in the admission test, academic career and interview. Ph.D. admission test is mandatory for candidate aspiring for the IRF.

C.    Crossed Demand Draft for Rs 1,500/- (General) and Rs. 1,000/- (SC/ST) candidates in favour of “Birla Institute of Technology”, payable at the city where reporting for.

The Indo Danish Tool Room Jamshedpur, a Government of India Society, established in the year 1991 under bilateral agreement with Government of India and Government of Denmark and assistance from State Government for providing integrated solution in Tool Engineering. Diploma in Tool and Die Making (DTDM)

Eligibility:

(I) Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent examination from a recognized Board/ University with Mathematics and Science (Physics and chemistry or both) with min. 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC /physically handicapped). Candidates awaiting results of 10th classes can also appear for the written test but the result should be available at the time of admission.

(II). Age: Between 15 to 19 years (relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/Physically handicapped up to 22 years) as on 01st July-2019.

Na. of seats: - 120 (Reservations for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped as per GOI norms).

Selection: Selection will be made on All India basis at two levels, Preliminary & Final. The preliminary test will be held or 05/05/19 (Sunday). Final Test for the short listed candidates will be conducted on 26/05/19 (Sunday).

Cost of Prospectus & Application Form: Rs. 750/- for Gen & OBC (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped candidates)

How to Apply:

1.    Prospectus and application form (part of prospectus) can be downloaded from our website. However, to apply, candidates are required to send filled in application along with Demand Draft towards the cost of prospectus. DD should be in favour of "Indo Danish Tool Room" payable at Jamshedpur.

2.    Prospectus and model question papers can also be obtained in person from IDTR Jamshedpur & its extension centres at TRTC Patna and MSME DI, Varanasi through DD of requisite amount in favour of "Indo Danish Tool Room" payable at Jamshedpur or by cash.

3.    Those who want to avail Prospectus by registered post should send self addressed A-4 size envelope with Registered postal stamp affixed on the envelop along with DD towards the cost of Prospectus. All candidates have to submit the copy of Aadhar card compulsorily at the time of admission. SC/ST/OBC candidates have to submit caste certificate issued not below the rank of Magistrate/ SDM/ SDO. Physically handicapped candidates have to submit proof of disability. Candidates should not send any original certificate along with the application form. Physically handicapped candidates should be able to stand without any support and work with both the hands free. They should be capable of wearing safety shoes.

All applications are to be addressed to The General Manager, IDTR, Jamshedpur duly super scribed on the envelope 'Application for Diploma in Tool & Die Making". Candidates have to clearly mark in the application whether they want their admit cards by post or collect personally from Indo Danish Tool Room.

DUPLICATE ADMIT CARDS WILL NOT BE ISSUED TO ANY CANDIDATE.

Those opting to avail Admit cards by hand, should come personally with the prospectus/ Receipt on 03/05/2019 from 10.00am to 3.00pm to collect their admit cards. IDTR will not be responsible for postal delay.

Eligibility:

1)    Candidates must have appeared in one of the following competitive examinations and should have minimum requisite percentile / scores as per the details given below:

CAT 2018: 40 (35 for SC/ST) Total Percentile

XAT 2019: 40 (35 for SC/ST) Total Percentile

CMAT-2019: 40 (35 for SC/ST) Overall Percentile

MAT Sept-2018 or MAT Dec- 2018 or MAT Feb -2019: 320 (280 for SC/ST) Score

2)    Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislatures in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India / AIU. This degree must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling [Class 12 or equivalent] (10+2+3 system).

3)    Candidates must have minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Honours / aggregate (45% for SC/ST) in graduation. [The percentage of marks obtained by a candidate in the bachelor’s degree would be calculated based on the practice followed by the University / Institution from where the candidate has obtain the degree]

4)    Candidates appearing for final examinations of their Bachelor’s programme in 2019 can also apply, provided they have obtained requisite marks or equivalent (as per item 3 above) based on latest available grades / marks at the time of applying, and if selected can join the programme provisionally.

At the time of reporting for the ‘GD & PI’ such applicant must bring a certificate in original from the Principal of Institute stating that:

a) by 30th June 2019, he/she will have appeared for examination in all subjects required for obtaining his/her Bachelor’s degree.

b) He/she has obtained requisite marks or equivalent (as per item (3) above), based on latest available grades / marks.

Selected candidates will be required to sign an undertaking at the time of admission on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper of Rs. 20/- (as per format given in Sec-10).

Further, their admission will be confirmed only when they submit the marksheets and a certificate of having passed the Bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification with requisite marks as per item (3) above. They must submit proof of passing their final examinations with requisite marks by 31st October 2019. Non-fulfillment of this condition will automatically result in the cancellation of the admission.

5)    Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distancelearning programmes are eligible only if (a) the programmes are recognized by the DEC-IGNOU (b) they have passed the qualifying examination at the time of applying, with minimum requisite marks in average calculated as per item (3) above. They must enclose photocopies of pass certificate and marksheets of qualifying examination with their application. [Appearing candidate in distance learning programmes, whose results are yet to be declared, are not eligible to apply].

Notes:

(1)    Candidates with foreign diplomas should see the EdCIL website for equivalence (http://www.edcil.co.in), and if required should obtain an equivalence certificate from the evaluation division of the AIU (website http://www.aiuweb.org).

(2)    In case, any Board / University awards grades instead of marks, the calculation of equivalent marks would be based on the procedure prescribed by the Board / University. In case, a University does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100.

(3)    At any level of the studies [Class X, Class XII or Graduation], a candidate / applicant must have passed all the required subjects at that level from the same Board/ University.

Selection will be made based on performance of the Candidate in GD and PI.

2.      Eligible candidates must complete and submit the application form online only [link available on the Institute website]. Pay application fee of Rs.2,500/- (General / OBC candidates) and Rs.1,500/- (SC/ST candidates) inclusive of GST charges through State Bank Collect -net banking or credit card of any nationalized bank in favour of “Birla Institute of Technology” within the given time period. Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances. 

3.      The candidates may select the choice of place for study maximum of three Campuses, in order of preference from the prompt. Candidates will not be permitted to alter their preferences at a later stage.

4.      Candidates should proceed to fill the Online Application Form only after they satisfy themselves that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility:

Minimum qualification for admission to the PGDM program at the Institute is three / four years bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST) in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities. Three stage admission process is followed by the Institute as per the guidelines of AICTE. These stages are

A candidate desirous of seeking admission in Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi will have to appear in an all India level management admission test. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT 2019) conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur (exam date: 6th January 2019), Common Admission Test (CAT 2018) conducted by IIM Lucknow, (exam date: 25th November, 2018) and (CMAT 2019) conducted by AICTE, New Delhi are the only approved examinations through which a candidate can apply to XISS Ranchi. Aspiring candidates will have to apply online for appearing in one or more exams by visiting www.xatonline.net.in, www.iimcat.ac.in, or http://aicte-cmat.in.

The candidates will have to apply separately at XISS, Ranchi. The institute will accept only online registrations. The process of filling up forms for seeking admission at XISS will remain open from Oct 05th, 2018 to Feb 25th, 2019.For online registrations, the Registration Fee can be paid through online transactions using Credit / Debit / ATM cards / Online Banking.
