General Instructions for Online Application Form

1.    Before filling the Online Application Form, the candidates are required to read the Prospectus/ guidelines/ instructions available on University website carefully. Candidates will submit their Application Forms online on the University's website: www.svsu.ac.in for admission to various programmes.

2.    The candidates shall be allowed to appear in the Entrance Test (if applicable) provisionally subject to determination of eligibility at a later stage. The candidates shall have no right to claim admission to any programme merely due to their appearing in the Entrance Test.

3.    If eligible for more than one programme and candidate intends to be considered for more than one programme, he/she has to apply separately for D.Voc./ Diploma/ B.Voc./PG Diploma/ M.Voc. Programmes and also to pay separate individual fees, as applicable.

4.    No column should be left blank in the Online Application Form; write N.A. against the column which is not applicable. Otherwise it will be considered as incomplete and liable to be rejected.

5.    In case any candidate is found to have supplied false information, certificates, documents etc. or is found to have withheld or concealed some information in his/ her Application Form, he/she shall be liable to be debarred from admission to the programme.

6.    If a candidate is admitted on the basis of the information submitted by him/ her, which is found to be incorrect or false at a later stage, his/ her admission will be cancelled and all fees and other dues paid by him/ her shall be forfeited. The University/ Faculty may also take further action, as deemed fit, against the candidate and his/ her guardian.

7.    Any legal dispute relating to admission of students will be subject to Courts at Palwal/ Gurugram or Courts having jurisdiction in Palwal/ Gurugram.

The candidates may obtain the Admission Guidelines along with Application form by downloading from the University website and enclosing a draft of Rs. 200 (Rs.50/- for SC/BC/DAP of Haryana only) drawn in favour of the Registrar, Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa payable at Sirsa. The National institute of Financial Management (NIFM) was set up in 1993 on the basis of a proposal made by Ministry of Finance, which was approved by the Union Cabinet. The Union Cabinet envisaged that NIFM would begin as a training institution for officers recruited by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) through the annual Civil Service Examinations and allocated to the various services responsible for manning senior and top management posts dealing with accounts and finance in the Government of India. (i)           Participants must have completed their Graduation with at least 50% in aggregate from an Indian University / institution recognized by Association of Indian Universities. Preference would be given to the participants having Professional Qualifications such as CA, CS, CWA, CFA, BE/B. Tech, etc.

(ii)          Candidates must have qualified in any one of the all India Common Admission Tests i.e. CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT or GMAT and submit the valid test scores not more than 2 year old

The decision of the Selection Committee of NIFM for selection will be final and no correspondence in this matter shall be entertained by NIFM.

Government Officers

1.    Minimum percentage of marks at graduation level should be 50%.

2.    The upper age of participant is 40 years on the date of commencement of the programme.

3.    Officers at middle/senior level working with the Central or State Governments, Public Enterprises and autonomous organizations belonging to State / Central Government or similar participants from foreign countries are eligible to apply for admission.

4.    Government officers/PSU officers are exempted from Common Admission Tests i.e. CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, GMAT

About College:

The National institute of Financial Management (NIFM) was set up in 1993 on the basis of a proposal made by Ministry of Finance, which was approved by the Union Cabinet. The Union Cabinet envisaged that NIFM would begin as a training institution for officers recruited by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) through the annual Civil Service Examinations and allocated to the various services responsible for manning senior and top management posts dealing with accounts and finance in the Government of India. NIFM was to develop as a centre of excellence in the areas of Financial Management and related disciplines “not only in India but also in Asia.”

Eligibility:

I. For officers from Central Governments/State Governments/Union Territories/Central PSUs/State PSUs/Autonomous Organizations under State or Central Governments/Other bodies of the Central/State Government from India or Abroad

a) All participants must have completed Graduation or a degree equivalent there to from an Indian/foreign university (institution) recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, Ministry of HRD, Government of India. Minimum percentage of marks at graduation level must be 50%.

b) The upper age limit for all participants is 50 years on the last date of submission of the application form for the programme.

c) The Officers should be working at middle/senior level in their respective organisation with work experience of at least three years.

A distinguished group of health care visionaries set up the Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) in 2009. They were impassioned by the urgent Public Health concerns that faced the nation. PhD in biomedical research [Vaccines and infectious diseases, Translational research in maternal and child health, Drug discovery and mathematical modeling to understand disease biology, Human microbial ecology, Diagnostics, devices and bio-design]

Eligibility:

a. Age: Maximum age limit is 28 years as on July 1, 2019. Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years for reserved category candidates (SC/ST/Persons with Disability (PwD) and female applicants) and 3 years for OBC – Non-creamy layer candidates.

b. Educational qualifications and fellowship requirements:

The candidate must fulfil one of the following criteria:

Group A: must have qualified in the junior research fellowship examination of CSIR, UGC, ICMR, DBT (category I only), BINC (for bioinformatics & computer science) or NBHM which provides fellowship for the entire duration (5 years) of their PhD program.

·         Should have a Master’s degree in any branch of biomedical/life sciences (including veterinary science, public health), bioinformatics, computer science or Mathematics from a recognized university with at least 55% marks or its equivalent (e.g.: grade B in the UGC 7-point scale) or a B Tech in Biotechnology.

Group B: Should have a MBBS or BE/B Tech (Computer Science/biotechnology/biomedical engineering) or post-graduate degree in life sciences, or Mathematics from a recognized university/institute with at least 55% marks or its equivalent along with a valid GATE qualifying score.

Candidates appearing in the final qualifying examination may also apply. However, they will be required to fulfil the above academic/ fellowship requirements at the time of joining the PHD program on 1st of July 2019.

A relaxation in marks/grade during Master’s Degree for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and any other categories will be applicable as per the UGC notification, 5th May 2016 or subsequent notification in effect of at the time of interview.

Selection procedure:

Names of shortlisted candidates will be announced on our website by 17th May 2019. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for an admission test at THSTI on the 3rd of June at 9:30 am. Applicants who clear the admission test will be interviewed on 3rd and 4th June 2019. Final selection will be made based on the applicant’s performance in the interview and the list of selected candidates will be published on the THSTI website within one working week of the interview.

Fellowship: Students from group A recommended for admission to the PhD program and holding fellowship from any of the above agencies will be required to utilize their own fellowship. Students selected from Group B will be awarded THSTI fellowships equivalent to the CSIR-UGC Fellowship amount.

No. of seats: A total of up to 20 candidates may be selected this year, if found suitable. The number of selected candidates may be less if sufficient candidates do not secure the minimum credentials required for admission.

Reservations: 27% seats for OBC (non-creamy layer), 15% of seats for SC, 7.5% of seats for ST, 3% of seats for differently-abled and 10% for EWS are reserved for candidates belonging to these categories. SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates are required to submit certificates in respect of their claims from authorized officers as notified by the Government for the purpose from time to time. The differently-abled (with minimum 40% disability) candidates are required to submit a certificate from authorized Medical Doctors/Hospitals indicating the extent of physical disability.

Fees: Admission fees, annual fees, registration fees or any other fees levied by JNU shall be payable by the student.

Hostel: Selected students will have the option of shared hostel accommodation in lieu of their HRA.
