After independence, India witnessed an enormous upsurge in its population. With this upsurge came the challenge of keeping pace with the fast technological development taking place around the globe. To meet this challenge and prepare the country’s youth for the 21st century, a sudden boom took place in the Indian education sector with the rapid growth of universities and colleges.
The entry of private players in education sector was never witnessed before. Today various private institutions have set up state-of-the-art tertiary education colleges which are coming up as centres of excellence in their respective regions. One of such reputed name, Inderprastha Engineering College (IPEC) was set up as a self financed institution to cater to the demands of technical education in the NCR region of UP.
IPEC offers six graduate level courses, namely, Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EN), Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Civil Engineering(CE), and three post graduate programs namely, Masters in Technology (M.Tech) in CS, ECE(VLSI Design) & ME(Computer Integrated Manufacturing) and Masters in Business Administrators (MBA) approved by AICTE and Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
IPEC the emblem of excellence, an NBA Accredited, ISO 9001:2008 certified institute is ranked amongst top 10 colleges of MTU. It is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Mahamaya Technical University, Noida. It offers undergraduate programs (B.Tech. degree) in six disciplines of engineering viz. Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, InformationTechnology, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering while postgraduate programs (M.Tech.) in three disciplines i.e. ECE(specialization:VLSI Design), ME(specialization:Computer Integrated Manufacturing), CSE and a Program in Management; Master of Business Administration(MBA) to fulfil the varied aspirations of its strength of over 3000 learners.

Bachelor of Technology (BTech) {Mechanical Engineering}
Eligibility:
Eligibility and Selection Procedure for BTech {Mechanical Engineering} in Inderprastha Engineering College, IPEC, Ghaziabad
· Foreign Nationals/PIOs (Persons of Indian Origin) quota seats shall be filled from Foreign Nationals/PIOs who
· Have passed the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics which is considered equivalent to (10+2) examination by the Association of Indian Universities.
OR
· They possess valid Sat-II score with Maths level II C, Physics and Chemistry.
· Their relative merit shall be decided based on their SAT-II score.
· Foreign Nationals/PIOs should submit a copy of passport or equivalent evidence for their Nationality.
· For Kashmiri Migrants direct admission to Kashmiri Migrants may be made as per latest Government orders. A separate notice required, shall be issued in this respect.
