About College:

Established in the year 1998, the Department of Business Administration of NMAMIT was designated as Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management (JKSHIM) in the year 2006. This institute is named after the great visionary and founder of Nitte group of Institutes, late Justice K. S. Hegde. The Institute offers a two-year full-time MBA program recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is an autonomous institution affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. JKSHIM is one among the very few institutes in India with the accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), NBA, and is a member, AACSB. It is also a research centre offering a Ph.D. program under Visvesvaraya Technological University. Over a period of two decades, JKSHIM has developed a high level of expertise in imparting quality management education. The Institute has also gained significant competence in imparting tailor-made short term programs to suit the needs of the industry.

The Institute has academic collaboration with University of Pennsylvania, USA. MBA students of the Institute undertake industrial tours to global business hubs, local companies and take part in student driven clubs, conferences and social outreach programmes. Eligibility:

·         Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

·         A valid score in - CAT / MAT or equivalent

About Us:

In developing the National Centre for Biological Sciences we were guided by Abraham Flexner when he proposed the creation of the Institute of Advanced Study in Princeton. Flexner pithily expressed his views that the Institute "... should be small, its staff and students or scholars should be few, the administration should be inconspicuous, inexpensive and subordinate; the members of the teaching staff while freed from the waste of time involved in administrative work, should freely participate in decisions involving the quality and direction of its activities; the living conditions should represent a marked improvement over contemporary academic conditions... its subjects should be fundamental in character, and it should develop gradually...". The founder of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research , Homi Bhabha, looked upon the Institute not merely as a place for doing good physics but as an instrument for growing science and scientific culture in India. TIFR’s research activities in physics, mathematics, biology and other areas are well known.

Eligibility:

For Ph.D.: Masters in Basic Science (M.Sc. Physics/Chemistry/Any branch of Biology) or any professional Master's Degree (M.Pharma./M.Tech.), or a > 4 year degree program (e.g. MBBS, BDS).

For I-Ph.D./M.Sc.: Bachelors in any Basic Science (Physics/Chemistry/Any branch of Biology) OR any 4-year degree program that awards a "Bachelor's degree" including B.Tech., B.E., B.V.Sc., B.Pharma. (4 year course).

M.Sc. Wildlife Biology & Conservation:

Eligibility for Indian nationals-applicants with a bachelor's degree in any discipline (including those in the final year of graduation) with a minimum of 50% marks in the core subjects are eligible to apply.

Eligibility for central, south and southeast asian nationals-applicants with an undergraduate/bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent gpa in the core subjects are eligible to apply.

Fee waivers: a waiver of application fee on grounds of financial distress may be requested by a letter from the principal or the head of the Department justifying the request. Students may apply online and send the waiver letter/request from the principal/HOD (On their letter head duly signed and stamped) by post to "The Asstt. Registrar (academic), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Homi Bhabha Road, Colaba, Mumbai 400005". Alternately, The recommendation letter can be scanned and uploaded profile. these requests would be considered depending on availability of seats and cannot be guaranteed.

St. Joseph’s Institute of Management The JOSEPHITE tradition started in Bangalore with the opening of the St. Joseph's European High School by the Paris Foreign Mission Fathers in 1858. In 1884, St. Joseph's College was established. It has grown steadily and today has more than 8000 students enrolled at the Undergraduate and Post Graduate courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer and Management disciplines in its four independent Colleges namely, St. Joseph's College (Arts & Science), St. Joseph's College of Commerce, St. Joseph's Evening College and St. Joseph's College of Business Administration (SJCBA). The Jesuit Fathers, however, came into the picture in 1937 when the Paris Foreign Mission handed over all Joseph's Institutions to them. These Institutions are now under the Management of the Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society, SJCBA is the only Jesuit Business School in Bangalore. St. Joseph's College of Business Administration has been conducting One Year Evening Management Courses since 1968.The Courses were a great help to the working executives and the Diploma awarded by the College was well accepted by the Corporates. Eligibility:

·         The candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university under regular mode ONLY.

·         The candidate should have a consistent academic record of the first class (minimum 60% marks) in STD X, STD XII & Graduation.

·         The candidates who have cleared all the subjects in their first attempt will be preferred. Candidates with a history of more than two arrears need not apply.

·         Candidates who have appeared for the Final Graduate Level examination and are awaiting results may also apply.
