Ph.D. (Full-time and Part-time) for 2^nd semester [Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad Compuses] {Departments: Science: Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics/ Engineering: Chemical, Civil, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical/ Pharmacy/ Economics and finance, Management, Humanities and Social Sciences}

Eligibility 

Any Higher Degree of BITS or its equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate in the qualifying examination. Any applicant with qualification equivalent to Integrated first degree of BITS will be first examined for suitability to one of the higher degree programmes of the Institute. Such candidates may first be admitted to the M.E./M.Phil. programmes offered by the Institute subject to the eligibility conditions. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test/interview for selections. Selected candidates will be given financial assistance in the form of either a fellowship of any government agency or of the Institute, project or teaching assistantship, full/partial tuition waiver or a combination of these. Such selected candidates will be required to participate in teaching and any other developmental activities of the Institute under the guidance of a mentor.

Financial Assistance

Full time PhD students admitted into the PhD programme are eligible to be considered for an Institute fellowship of Rs. 25,000/- per month in the first year. Higher assistantship will be made available in subsequent years. Consideration for fellowship will be as per Institute norms. It will be obligatory on the part of every admitted full time students to undertake 8 to 10 hours (per week) of work as assigned to him/her by the institute.
