Patna University invites online application from the candidates for Ph.D. Admission Test 2018 schedule to be held on February 24, 2018 for admission into Ph.D program for the academic session 2018

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates having master degree with at least of 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or on equivalent grade in point scale wherever grading system is followed).

A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% Io 50%, or on equivalent relaxation of grade, will be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/EBC/OBC/Differently-abled categories of candidates

A candidate shall ordinarily be permitted to pursue research for the Ph.D. degree in the subject in which he/she holds Master’s degree.  

Exemptions from the Ph.D. Admission Test (PAT)

Candidates who have secured grants for research such as fellowship/scholarship/associateship etc. by qualifying UGC/NET/CSIRNET/GATE/MHRD Scholarships/Teacher Fellowship/ DBT/ICMR/ICAR /DSTINSPIRE/CSSIR, ICHR etc

Assistant Professors, Associate Professor and Professor who have been appointed on substantive post in the UGC pay scale in the teaching departments or the University or a constituent college of the University who have completed their probation successfully with an experience of at least two years of uninterrupted service would be considered under this category. Teachers appointed in self finance courses will not be exempted from the test

Non-teaching employees of the University, who are holding substantive appointment for more than five years having at least 55% marks in Master’s degree in the subject concerned and with at least two research papers published in any reputed refereed journal or journals identitied by the UGC would be considered under this category

PAT 2018 Pattern
The PAT is a written test comprising two papers of 100 marks each.
Paper I - 100 marks – objective/ multiple choice questions on general and research aptitude.
Paper II - 100 marks – subjective type in the subject concerned based on syllabus (excluding elective papers) of the Post-Graduate courses of the Patna University.
Interview - 20 marks
The minimum qualifying marks for written test will be as follows:
For General candidates –                50% aggregate marks
For Reserved category candidates –         45% aggregate marks
The selection of the candidate will be on the basis of marks obtained in PAT and interview combined together

Eligibility Criteria

Citizenship: Applicant must be a citizen of India

Candidates who have passed (not before 2016) or appearing B.A. (Hons) / B.Sc. (Hons) final examination in 2017 from any recognized University, are eligible to apply for and appear in PUMDET-2018

a) The candidate must have passed (not before 2017) or appeared in B.A. (Hons)/B.Sc. (Hons) examination in 2017 from any recognized University

b) Candidates, who have appeared for their B.A. (Hons)/B.Sc. (Hons) examination and have their final results at the time of counselling will have to mandatorily produce all original mark sheets/grade cards of all semester/annual examinations passed at the Bachelor’s level. Such candidates must fulfill the academic eligibility norms for their applied courses tabled below for admission

c) Candidates, who have appeared for their final B.A. (Hons)/B.Sc. (Hons) examination, but do not have their final results at the time of counselling, will be given provisional admission, on the basis of production of their previous mark sheets/grade cards of all previous semester/annual examinations at their Bachelor’s level
However they must submit their final mark sheet by 31st August 2018, demonstrating that they fulfil the minimum conditions of eligibility tabled below, failing which their admission will stands cancelled

d) Therefore the candidate must secure the minimum required percentage of marks/CGPA in Hons./major subject as per the following table in his/her B.A. (Hons) / B.Sc. (Hons) exam for final and confirmed admission

Reservation
The reservation policies of West Bengal State Higher Education Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Act, 2013 and West Bengal State Higher Education Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Rules, 2014 will be followed for admission in reserved seats for SC/ST/OBCA/B
Requirements in terms of Residential/Domicile Criteria a) There is no particular Residential/Domicile requirement to appear in the PUMDET-2018
However, the State (West Bengal) Residential/Domicile requirement is applicable for admission in any reserved category of seats)

Under Graduate (Major/Honours Subjects) syllabus of Presidency University or its equivalent of any recognized Indian University

Pattern of Question Papers
The medium of tests will be English except for vernacular subjects like Hindi and Bengali. In every subject, all questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type, with four options against each of the questions. There will 50 (fifty) questions in each paper, full marks 100 and time 90 minutes

Mode of answering in the Exam:
a) Questions are
to be answered on specially designed optical machine-readable response (OMR) sheet, which will be evaluated by the method of Optical Mark Recognition by specially designed machines and therefore it is very important to follow the correct method of marking
b) There will be 4 (four) alternative answers for each question. Candidate will indicate response to the questions by darkening the appropriate circle completely with blue/black ball point pen
c) Any other kind of marking e.g. filling the bubble incompletely, filling with pencil, cross mark, tick mark, dot mark, circular mark, over writing, scratching, erasing, white ink, marking outside the bubble etc. may lead to wrong/partial/ambiguous reading of the response
WBJEEB will be, in no way, responsible for such eventuality

The examination will be conducted in various zones e.g. Kolkata Central, Kolkata - North, Kolkata - South,  Howrah, Kharagpur, Berhampur,  Malda, Kalyani, Bankura, Haldia, Assansol, Burdwan, Durgapur, Siliguri, Coochibihar, Srirampur

Any of the exam centres may be dropped if adequate number of candidates is not available

How to Apply:

Application Procedure

Application has to be filled up online at the Portal www.wbjeeb.in. Candidate needs to visit the portal and follow the links <Examinations> - <PUMDET > - <ONLINE APPLICATION>

The form is interactive in nature; there are two major steps in application form submission as follows:

Step-1 Registration
Candidate has to input name, date of birth, gender, mobile number and e-mail id. Candidate must take utmost care to give these inputs. If mistakes are committed, there is no chance of correction

The mobile number and e-mail id entered will be used for all subsequent communication. Candidates also have to choose a log-in ID and password and remember them, which he/she will use for future log-in

PUMDET candidates have to first choose group-A or group-B of subjects and then choose maximum two subjects from his/her choice of group

Fee Submission

Candidate will have to pay the exam fee online (by Net Banking /Debit /Credit Cards) or Offline (by e-Challan)

The Amount of Application Fees to be paid for appearing in the PUMDET-2017 is Rs.500/- (Rupees four hundred only) plus the Bank’s Service Charges as applicable. The Exam Fees can be paid in cash less mode by ‘Net Banking’/‘Debit Card’/‘Credit Card’ or in cash using Allahabad Bank e-challan

If offline mode is chosen, an e-challan will be generated automatically. Candidate need to take a print of the challan and pay the fee in any branch of Allahabad Bank

ICAR AIEEA 2018 Details 

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi conducts All India Entrance Exams for admission to Undergraduate, Post-Graduate and Doctoral Degree Programs in Agriculture and Allied Sciences for filling 15% seats in Bachelor and 25% seats each in Master (100% seats in ICAR-DUs) 

Through AIEEA-PG, 475 ICAR PG Scholarships and through AICE-JRF/SRF/(PGS), 202 fellowships are also awarded. Those candidates who do not get ICAR PG Scholarship are awarded NTS (PGS) provided they take admission outside their state of domicile

Age Limit 

For AIEEA-UG-2018: Not less than 16 years as on 31st August 2018 

For AIEEA-PG-2018: Not less than 19 years as on 31st August 2018 

For AICE-SRF (PGS)-2018 (for PhD): Not less than 20 years as on the date of exam, i.e. 11th June 2018 

Qualifying Examination 

For AIEEA-UG-2018 (Other than Veterinary Sciences): 

Candidates must have obtained not less than 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2 examination or equivalent with PCM/PCB/PCMB/PCF subject combinations/Inter Agriculture for admission under General, UPS (Under Privileged State) and OBC (Non-creamy layer) categories or 40% marks in aggregate for admission under SC, ST and PC categories. However, candidates with PCF combination are eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Horti.) only

For AIEEA-PG-2018: 
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Veterinary, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Horticulture, Home Science (renamed as Community Science), Sericulture, Dairy Technology, Forestry, Agri. Marketing and Cooperation, Food Science, Biotechnology, etc., under 10+2+4 or 10+2+5 (B.V.Sc. &A.H.) or 10+6 (B.Sc. Ag.) years degree programmes (Few seats are available for candidates having Bachelor degree with 10+2+3 (basic sciences) at two ICAR-DUs i.e. IARI & NDRI only), with required OGPA of at least 6.60/10, 3.25/5, 2.60/4 for General, OBC (NCL) and UPS categories whereas for SC/ST/PC categories, the said requirement is 5.60/10, 2.75/5, 2.20/4, respectively 
In other cases, where grade points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General, OBC (NCL) and UPS categories; whereas for SC/ST/PC, the requirement is 50% marks (equivalence between OGPA and % marks will not be acceptable) 
The in-service candidates seeking admission in ICAR-DUs, should see the respective DU’s website 

For AICE-JRF/SRF (PGS)-2018 
The candidates must have passed Master’s Degree programme in the concerned discipline securing Overall Grade Point Average of at least 6.50/10.00 scale, 3.25/5.00 scale, 2.60/4.00 scale for General, OBC (NCL) and UPS Categories and 5.50/10.00, 2.75/5.00, 2.20/4.00 scale for SC/ST/PC categories, respectively 
In other cases, where grade points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General, OBC (NCL) and UPS Category 
For SC/ST/PC candidates, the minimum percentage of marks will be 50%. The equivalence between OGPA and percent marks will not be acceptable. Candidates must complete the post-graduate degree in all respects and produce the degree-completion certificate from the Registrar to this effect on the date of counseling, failing which they will not be considered for admission and the award of fellowship 
The fellowship would be granted only when the candidate seeks admission through counseling conducted by ICAR and pursues PhD degree in an accredited Agriculture University except an ICAR-DU where 100% seats will be filled up through its own separate national level exam 

ICAR AIEEA 2018 Seat & Reservation 

For the academic session 2018-19, ICAR 23rd AIEEA UG and ICAR 23rd AIEEA PG will be conducted to admit candidates in 100% seats available at ICAR deemed-to-be-Universities 

State Agricultural Universities also provides admission through ICAR 2018 AIEEA UG and PG entrance exam. It offers 15% seats for UG degree courses and 25% seats for PG degree courses 

Reservation Criteria is as following: 
SC - 15% seats 
ST - 7.5% seats 
PC - 3% seats 
UPS - 2% seats 
OBC - Reservation in Central Educational Institutions/ Universities will be as per govt. of India rule 

ICAR AIEEA UG 2018 Exam Pattern 

Exam Duration: 2½ hours 

Language of the Question Paper: Bilingual i.e. English and Hindi 

Subjects in Question Paper: There shall be a single question paper booklet comprising of five subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Agriculture. Out of five subjects in the question booklet, the candidate has to attempt/opt/choose only three subjects 

Number of Questions: The question paper will have 60 multiple choice questions for each subject, each with four options. Examinees have to attempt only 180 questions as per subject combination selected 

Marking Scheme AIEEA UG 2018 
For correctly answered question four marks will be awarded. You can get maximum 720 marks in the paper. For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. If a question is not attempted and left blank no marks will be awarded or deducted in that case 
It is advised to the candidates to not to attempt such questions in the OMR answer sheet, for which they are not sure of the correct answer. If more than one answer is indicated against a question, such response will be deemed as incorrect answer and will invite negative marking

Application Procedure AIEEA UG 2018 
Indian Council of Agricultural Research issues online forms. The application for AIEEA 2018 will be available on the official site of ICRA at www.icar.org.in 
Applicants will be required to fill in all the details in the online application. Also, he/she may need to upload a recent passport size coloured photograph, thumb impression (left for male/ right for female) and /or signature. Applicants can pay the application fee by the means of Credit Card/Debit Card/ Net Banking.

Admit Card 
The admit card of AIEEA UG will be released online, on the official website. The candidates must carry it to the exam hall as a print copy. It is important to ensure that the copy of the admit card should be self-attested by the candidate. The attestation includes affixing a Photograph, writing Signature, and inserting Thumb Impression in the appropriate space

UPSC CDS Exam (I) 2018

Exam Details:

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) 

UPSC conducts CDS examination 2 times in a year and thousands of applicants take part in this examination every year. Combined Defence Services examination is scheduled to recruit eligible & deserving applicants in Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy & Indian Air Force Academy. The official notification for the examination releases in the month of October & June every year and the examination are conducted usually in the months of February & November every year. Only the unmarried graduate applicants are allowed to apply for CDS 2018 examination. The qualified applicants of written examination will be called for personal interview round scheduled by SSB (Services Selection Board) and the finally selected applicants will be offered admission to their respective academies.

How to apply for UPSC CDS Exam I

Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria may apply online through the official website of UPSC from November 8, 2017, onwards. The last for application is December 4, 2017.

Mode of Selection: The selection process will take place through written exam and SSB Interview.

CDS 2018 Exam Syllabus

It is very important that the applicants should know the examination syllabus before they start their preparation. CDS 2018 Examination Centers

The CDS exam will be held across 41 cities/towns in the country.

CDS 2018 Selection Process

Selection of candidates will be based on some important components such as Written Exam, Personal Interview, Document verification and Medical report of the candidates.

Written Examination- This is the first & foremost stage of CDS selection procedure. The applicants will have to qualify in this stage to take part in next stage of the selection procedure

Personal Interview- Personal interview is the 2nd stage of selection procedure of CDSE and only the qualified applicants of written exam will be eligible to take part in this stage. This stage consists of various activities to shortlist the deserving applicants such as Group discussion, Group activities, Interview.

Documents Verification- The successful applicants of the personal interview will be called for documents verification stage. The selected applicants will have to show their relevant documents to the selection authority.

Medical Examination- Medical examination is the final but very important stage of selection. In this stage, the applicants will be tested on their physical fitness. The applicants will have to qualify this final stage of selection procedure in order to get selected in CDSE

The result will be announced in two phases i.e. written exam and SSB/interview result.

Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has released the online application form for the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2017 

Applicants who wish to apply for OTET then send online application form. The selected applicants will be appointed as Primary School Teacher. Candidates can submit Odisha TET Application Form between 23rd August 2017 to 06th September 2017. 

Eligibility 

The following conditions of eligibility have been laid down by the Government of Odisha, Department of School and Mass Education vide the Resolution No.14302/SME, Bhubaneswar, dated the 04/06/12 

(I) Persons having the following minimum qualifications shall be eligible for appearing in OTET 

(a) Category-A (Paper-I) Higher Secondary (+2 or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (CT) OR Higher Secondary (+2 or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/ 2-year Diploma in Special Education 

(b) Category-B (Paper- II) Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR Graduation with 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) OR Higher Secondary (+2 or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A.Ed./ B.Sc Ed. Provided that relaxation of 5% minimum qualifying marks in +2 or graduation level, as the case may be, shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC, ST,OBC/ SEBC category 

Provided further that candidates having minimum marks in +2 or graduation level, as the case may be, prescribed at the time of admission in teacher education courses shall also eligible to appear in OTET 

(II) Persons who are pursuing (final year) any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or by the RCI, as the case may be) specified above in both the categories 

(III) Persons declared eligible by the State Govt./ NCTE/ Govt. of India from time to time 

Untrained Candidates 

(a) As per Govt. of Odisha, School and Mass Education Department Letter No.23860/SME dated 21/10/2013, the untrained candidates, belonging to SC/ST & PH Category having required percentage of marks (5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks in +2 or Graduation Level as the case may be, for the candidates belonging to SC & ST categories) shall be eligible 

(b) As per ADDENDUM No.SME-EL2-EL2-0060-2015 1646/ SME dt.21/01/2016 of the Govt.  of Odisha, School and Mass Education Dept., the following guide lines shall be added to the Para-4 of the Resolution issued from the Govt., Dept. of School and Mass Education Vide No.14302/SME dtd-04/06/2012 regarding eligibility of minimum qualification for appearing OTET Exam 

Exam Test Details 

Detail instruction for online exam can be gone through by downloading the same which is attached at the student log in page; after signing in "My Exams" page will be displayed 

There are two sections under the field Action. One is View Detail and the other is "Attempt Now". Clicking the “View Detail” button, some of the important information regarding the examination shall be displayed 

Now the questions will be displayed section after section. The total time allowed from opening of the link shall be one and half an hour. Display of questions and question related information will automatically stop at 12.30 pm 

The questions shall be displayed starting from question no.-1. The number of questions in different sections will be as follows: 

a) Section-I - 30 questions 

b) Section-II - 20 questions 

c) Section-III - 2 questions 

Questions of Section-I & II will be multiple choice type and that of Section-III will be essay type 

Questions displayed may be attempted by clicking one of the four circles or can be skipped by clicking next button displayed below the question; two essay type questions under section-III shall be answered in a A4 paper writing the Roll No. on the top

However filling up of forms through online can be carried out till 07th September 2017 midnight

IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Test 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have possessed following eligibility criteria defined by IGNOU for B.Ed. Program:

Candidates with at least fifty (55) percent marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Commerce/Humanity, Bachelor’s in Engineering or

Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme (and);

The following categories are eligible to be the students of B.Ed. (ODL):

(i) Trained in-service teachers in elementary education (Or);

(ii) Candidates who have completed a NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode

The reservation and relaxation of 5% marks in minimum eligibility will be provided to SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/PWD candidates as per the rules of the Central Govt.

Reservation to Kashmiri Migrants and war widow candidates will be provided as per the University Rules

IGNOU BEd Entrance Test 2017 Admission Procedure

UGC NET 2017 November will be conducted by CBSE on 05th November, 2017

UGC NET Exam is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor both in Indian Universities and Colleges.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting the National Eligibility Test (CBSE NET) on behalf of the University Grants Commission. The UGC NET is conducting for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for Assistant Professor, in Indian universities and colleges.

UGC NET Eligibility Criteria

i) Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC (list attached page No. 22 to 48) in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. (list of subjects of post graduation attached at page No. 19 to 20) are eligible for this Test

The OBC belonging to non-creamy layer/SC/ST/PWD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test

ii) Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test

However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of Junior Research Fellowship/eligibility for Assistant professor only after they have passed their Master’s Degree Exam OR equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of OBC (Non- creamy layer)/SC/ST/PWD (persons with disability) category candidates

Such candidates must complete their PG Degree Exam within two years from the date of NET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified

iii) The PhD degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in NET

iv) Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their post graduation only. The candidates, whose post graduation subject is not covered in the list of subjects in item No.14 (on page 12-13), may appear in a related subject

v) Candidates are neither required to send any certificates/documents in support of their eligibility nor printout of their Application Form (Confirmation Page) to CBSE. However, the candidates, in their own interest, must satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the Test. In the event of any ineligibility being detected by the UGC/CBSE at any stage, their candidature will be cancelled and they shall be liable for legal action

vi) Candidates having post-graduate diploma/certificate awarded by Indian University/ Institute or foreign degree/diploma/certificate awarded by the foreign University/institute should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of their diploma/degree/certificate with Master’s degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi

Age Limit & Relaxation

i) Junior Research Fellowship: Not more than 28 years as on June 2017. A relaxation up to 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to OBC (Non- creamy layer, as per the Central list of OBC available on website www.ncbc.nic.in) SC/ST/PWD categories and to women applicants 

Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates having research experience, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant/related subject of post-graduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, on production of a certificate from appropriate authority

3-years relaxation in age will be permissible to the candidates possessing LLM Degree. Total age relaxation on the above ground(s) shall not exceed five years under any circumstances 

ii) Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor

Exemption (Eligibility for Assistant Professor)

NET/SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professors in Universities/Colleges/Institutions. Provided however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded a PhD degree in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SELT/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions

Candidates who have passed the UGC/CSIR JRF Exam prior to 1989 are also exempted from appearing in NET 

For SET Candidates: The candidates who have cleared the States Eligibility Test (SET) accredited by UGC for eligibility for Assistant Professor held prior to 01st June 2002, are exempted from appearing in NET, being eligible

For SET held from 01st June 2002 onwards, the qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor only in the universities/colleges situated in the state from where they have cleared their SET

Junior Research Fellowship

Candidates qualifying for the award of Junior Research Fellowship will be eligible to receive fellowship of UGC under various schemes, subject to their finding placement in universities/IITs/institutions

The validity period of the offer is two years w.e.f. the date of issue of JRF Award Letter. However, in case the candidates who have already joined MPhil/PhD, the date of commencement of fellowship shall be from the date of declaration of NET result or date of their joining, whichever is later

 

How to Apply:

UGC Net 2017 Application Form

Candidate seeking admission to the Test (UGC-NET 2017 November) must apply online only on the CBSE website www.cbsenet.nic.in

Before applying Online, the candidates must possess the scanned images as below:

i) Passport size photograph in JPG format of minimum 4kb to 40 kb. The dimension of the photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height)

ii) Signature in JPG format of minimum 4kb to 30 kb; the dimension of the signature should be 3.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (height)

iii) After filling all the details for applying online for NET the candidates have to select the option of payment of examination fee either by credit/debit card or through e-challan generated during the online filling of the application form indicating your details therein and follow the process as mentioned under 6 (ii & iii) on page 6

iv) The candidates are required to bring a photo identity card along with their printout of online admission card on the day of examination.

v) Before applying online, candidates are advised to go through detailed notification available on CBSE website www.cbsenet.nic.in Please note that Fee submitted through any other mode like Money Order, Demand Draft, IPO etc. will be summarily rejected

vi) In order to avoid last minute rush, the candidates are advised to apply early enough. CBSE will not be responsible for network problems or any other problem of this nature in submission of online application during last days

The candidates must read the conditions of eligibility as given at item no. 3 carefully and must satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility for the Test before filling the online application Form

Exam Fee and Mode of Payment

For General candidates, the examination fee is Rs.600/-; for Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer, as per the Central list of OBC available on website www.ncbc.nic.in, the fee is Rs.300/- and for SC/ST/PWD candidates, it is Rs.150/-

i) The candidates may pay the exam fee either by credit/debit card or through e-challan generated during the online filling of the application form. In case of e-challan the payment should be made in the Syndicate/Canara/ICICI Bank

In case the exam fee is paid through credit/debit card, the additional processing charges as following will also be debited from the credit/debit card of the candidate. The fee can be remitted in the following ways:

Ö        Through e-Challan by deposit of prescribed fees in CBSE Account with Syndicate Bank, ICICI, HDFC and Canara Bank

By Debit/Credit Card:

ii) After filling all the details for applying online for NET, the candidate will have the option to select the mode of payment of exam fee either by credit/debit card or through e-challan generated during the online filling of the application form indicating your details therein

iii) The candidate is required to check the status of fee payment at CBSE website (www.cbsenet.nic.in) and if the status is ‘Ok’ the candidate will be able to take the printout of online Application Form (one copy), Attendance Slip (one copy) and Admission Card (one copy) on separate A-4 size papers. In case, the fee payment status is not ‘OK’ the candidate are advised as following:

Ö        If the fee is paid through e-challan by depositing cash in the above mentioned bank, the candidate should contact immediately the concerned bank to update his/her fee status on the website

Ö        If the fee is paid through credit/debit card and status is not ‘OK’, it means the transaction is cancelled and the amount will be refunded to concerned credit/debit card within a week. Such candidates have to pay the fee once again

Scheme and Exam Schedule

The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held on November 19, 2017  (Sunday) 05th November, 2017 (Sunday) in all three separate session as under:

First (Paper-I): 100 Marks (60 out of which 50 questions to be attempted) [Duration: 1¼ Hours (09.30 am to 10.45 am, IST)]

Second (Paper-II): 100 Marks (50 questions all are compulsory) [Duration: 1¼ Hours (11.15 am to 12.30 pm, IST)]

Third (Paper-III): 150 Marks (75 questions all are compulsory) [Duration: 2½ Hours (02.00 pm to 04.30 pm, IST)]

All the questions of Paper-II and Paper-III will be compulsory, covering entire syllabus (including all electives, without options)
The candidate will have to mark the responses for questions of Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Sheet provided along with the test booklet

Introduction 

Government of Maharashtra has established a State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET CELL) under Admission Regulatory Authority (ARA) as per the provision in Section 10 of Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2015, (Herein after called the Act) 

According to Govt. Resolution No.CET-2016/F.No.84/MSHI-2, 7th April 2016 the Competent Authority shall conduct the MAH-B.Ed. CET 2017 for the admission to the First Year of the Two Year Full Time Professional Course in Education leading to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed. Regular) and B.Ed.-Special Education - Hearing Impairment, B Ed Special Education - Autism Spectrum Disorder, B Ed Special Education – Learning Disability, B Ed Special Education - Intellectual Disability/Mental Retardation B.Ed.

Special Education-Visually Impaired for  the Academic year 2017-18 

The admissions to the following institutes will be based on the score of CET, provided they are approved and recognized by Govt. of Maharashtra and are affiliated to any of the Non-Agricultural University in the State of Maharashtra State: 
1. All Govt. Colleges offering B.Ed. Course 
2. All Govt. Aided Colleges, Aided Minority Colleges offering B.Ed. Course 
3. All University Managed Colleges/Institutes offering B.Ed. Course

MAH BEd CET 2017 Eligibility Criteria 

The Eligibility conditions for Maharashtra BEd CET 2017 is given below 

Maharashtra State Candidates: (i) Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree with subjects Sciences/Mathematics/Social Sciences (History/Geography/Economics/Political Sciences/ Psychology/ Philosophy/ Education/Library Science)/Humanity Sciences (including all Languages and Literatures like-English, Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, Pali-Prakrut etc. studied as Optional/Special Subject at Graduation)/Commerce and have secured minimum 50% marks for Open Category Candidates either in Bachelor’s Degree and or in the Master’s Degree (49.50% and above to be considered as 50%)(Minimum 45% marks in case of Backward Class Categories from State of Maharashtra belonging to SC, ST, VJ-DT NT-(A), NT1-(B), NT-2-(C), NT-3-(D), OBC, and SBC (44.50% and above to be considered as 45%) either in Bachelor’s Degree and or in the Master’s Degree 

(Or); 
(ii) The candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree with subjects in Engineering or Technology/ (Science and Mathematics as a Special subjects) / Bachelor’s Degree and or Master’s Degree with the subjects Management / Engineering/Computers/Law/Information -Technology / Agriculture/ BBI / Medical Sciences /All Social Sciences excluding those (i) above /Fine Art / Performing Art (Music/Dance / Drama etc.) and secured minimum 55% marks (54.50 % and above to be considered as 55%) either in Bachelor’s Degree and or in the Master’s Degree (Minimum 50% marks in case of Backward Class Category candidates belonging to State of Maharashtra belonging to SC, ST, VJ-DT NT-(A), NT1-(B), NT-2-(C), NT-3-(D), OBC, and SBC. (49.50% and above to be considered as 50%) either in Bachelor’s Degree and or in the Master’s Degree 
(Or); 

The candidate should have passed Bachelor’s Degree and/ or Master’s Degree recognized as an equivalent degree by the Government of Maharashtra, in subjects mentioned in (i) and (ii) above 

(Or); 

The candidate should have passed any Bachelor’s Degree and/ or Master’s Degree given by Open University incorporated by an act of the Central or State Legislature 

Other State Candidates: 
The candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed any Bachelor’s Degree and/ or Master’s Degree awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the Central or State Legislature or declared to be Deemed University under section 3 of the UGC act, 1956 of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India/NCTE with minimum 55% of marks for all categories. All candidates including backward class candidates having Degree/Post Graduate Degree from Out of Maharashtra University will be considered as Open Category Candidates 
(Or); 

Candidate should be appeared for the Final year exam of any Bachelor’s Degree awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the Central or State Legislature or declared to be Deemed University under section 3 of the UGC act, 1956 of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India/NCTE. Such candidate can be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the degree exam with minimum 55% of marks 

MAH BEd CET 2017 Application Procedure 

Procedure for Online Application Form Filling and Registration MAH-B.Ed. CET2017 in order to appear for MAH-B.Ed. CET2017, the Candidates are required to apply On-Line as per the detailed procedure/guidelines given below 

Candidates interested should download the Information Brochure, read it carefully and fill in the On Line application as per the directions given in the relevant Information Brochure 

Candidates desirous of seeking admission to English Medium Colleges of Education should invariably apply for ELCT Examination while filling in the CET Form 

Candidates are advised to download the Information Brochure from www.mahacet.org andwww.dhepune.gov.in take a print -out /read it carefully and then fill in the On Line Application Form from the given link 

Candidates are advised to Scan their own photograph and signature as per the specification and keep it ready with them on the computer to fill in form. Candidates are advised to keep their Educational records such as Year of passing marks obtained etc. of all qualifications handy before beginning to fill in the Form 

Candidates are further advised to first save the form, read it carefully before finally submitting it on line. If the Form is Finally submitted, then no change in the Form is possible. Candidates are directed to take a print out of the On Line Finally submitted and approved 

Application Form and safely keep it with them. This Application form is essential document for Admission 

Candidates are directed to take a print of the e-receipt of the payment made on line and preserve it with them. It will be required at the time admission 

Candidates are further advised to preserve their Original CET Hall Ticket with them after the CET is over; the same will be required for Admission 

Candidates are advised to download the CET Score - Card from the link that will be given onwww.mahacet.org and www.dhepune.gov.in and preserve it with them, the same will be required for Admission 

MAH BEd CET 2017 Syllabus and Marking Scheme 

The On Line CET is comprising of one paper with three sections: 

1. Mental Ability - 40 No. of Questions; 01 Marks Questions; and 40 Total Marks 

2. General Knowledge - 30 No. of Questions; 01 Marks Questions; and 30 Total Marks 

3. Teacher Aptitude - 30 No. of Questions; 01 Marks Questions; and 30 Total Marks 

Total - 100 No. of Questions; 1 per Question; and 100 Total Marks 

The questions will be objective Multiple Choice Questions with Four options 

There is no Negative Marking 
The time allotted is One Hour Thirty Minutes 
Medium of Test will be English and Marathi 

Contents of the Sections: 

Mental Ability (40%): The content of this test aims to judge your reasoning power It also helps to judge how accurate you can think. This test will contain questions based on Series, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Relationship, Analogies, Classification, Problems on Dice, etc., either in Verbal or Non-Verbal form 

General Knowledge (30%): The aim of this section is to test how well you are acquainted with the happenings in the surroundings at Local, National, International Level including Past Events, Current Affairs including, Science and Technology, History, Geography, Civics, Political Science and Literature in General 

Teacher Aptitude (30%): The Test aims to know your capacity to become teacher. It will contain questions related to your keenness to update your knowledge, leadership qualities awareness about changes in Education and Society , communication and Professional commitment etc. 

MAH BEd CET 2017 Test Centers 

MAH - B.Ed. CET 2017 will be conducted in the selected cities in Maharashtra. The cities in which MAH-B.Ed. CET 2017 will be conducted are designated as “Centers” for the CET. Each Centre may have many “Venues” depending upon the number of candidates appearing at that Centre 

A candidate appearing for CET shall be give his/her preference for the Centre, however, the Competent Authority reserves the right to allocate the Centre and Venue 
CET CELL/Directorate of Higher Education shall entertain no request for change of Centre/Venue/Date / Session for the Exam under any circumstances 

Exam Fees for CET 

For all candidates from Outside Maharashtra State* (OMS), Open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State and J&K Migrant Candidates - Rs.800/- 

For Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State of Backward class Categories (SC, ST, VJDT, NT (A), NT-1 (B), NT-2(C), NT-3(D), OBC and SBC categories - Rs.400/- 

Application Form Processing Fees as stated below is to be paid through on-line system only by Internet Payment, Credit Card/ Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets for which the service charges, as per rules, shall be applicable in addition to the Application Form Processing Fees
