About College:

National Power Training Institute (NPTI), an ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 organization, is a National Apex body for Training and Human Resources Development in Power Sector with its Corporate Office at Faridabad. NPTI is continuing its dedicated service for the last four decades. NPTI operates on an all India basis through its Units in different zones of the country located at Faridabad, Neyveli (1965), Durgapur (1968) Badarpur – New Delhi (1974), Nagpur (1975), Centre for Advanced Management and Power Studies (CAMPS) – Faridabad (2000), North-Eastern Regional Institute – Guwahati (2003), Hydro Power Training Institute (HPTI) – Nangal (2006), Power Systems Training Institute (PSTI) – Bangalore (1972) and Hot Line Training Centre (HLTC) also at Bangalore (1974).The Institutes of NPTI are well equipped with Hi-Tech infrastructural facilities for conducting different courses on technical as well as management subjects covering the needs of Thermal, Hydro, Transmission & Distribution Systems, and Energy related fields of the Indian Power and allied Energy sectors.

Course Name:

Post Graduate Diploma course in Transmission and Distribution Systems (PGDTDS) 16^th Batch

Duration: 26 Weeks

Eligibility:

Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent in Electrical/Power Engg./Electrical and Electronics/ Electronics & Power Engg.(E&P) or & its equivalent branches.

Age: No age limit.

Selection Criteria: As per merit based on Degree Percentage of marks in B.E / B.Tech. or its equivalent examination.

Total Seats: 60 (Sixty).

Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH/EWS as per Govt. norms.25% seats reserved for sponsored candidates. In case seats are falling vacant in sponsored category, same will be filled up by non-sponsored candidates.

Placement:

Many reputed companies visit NPTI for campus placement and many students from the previous batch are placed with reputed Organizations like Sterlite Grid, Bajaj Electricals, KEC International, Kalpataru Power Transmission Co., Adani Power, Suzlon, SMS Infrastructure Co.ltd., Manav Energy Pvt Ltd.Etc. However placement is not guaranteed.

How to Apply:

Application form as per Annexure “A” is to be downloaded from web site www.nptinagpur.com/ www.npti.gov.in & filled in with relevant details. Filled in application form along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- in favor of “NPTI, Nagpur” payable at “Nagpur”, should submit in person to Director, NPTI, Nagpur or (address given below). Candidate should write his/her name & address, Mobile No., Email id on the reverse of the DD.
