The Banaras Hindu University shall conduct Postgraduate Entrance Tests, hereinafter called"PET", during 16th to 30th May 2017 [Refer to Section 21 of the Test Schedule] for admission to various Postgraduate Courses as given hereunder for the Session 2017-18

Admissions will be made according to merit in the PET, subject to fulfilling of eligibility requirements mentioned below and availability of seats in the particular Course for which the candidate has applied for and appeared in the Entrance Test 

All the Courses are conducted in the respective Faculties. In addition, some of the Courses are also conducted in Mahila Mahavidyalaya, BHU (MMV), Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkachha,(RGSC) Mirzapur and the Colleges admitted to the Privileges of the University in the city namely, Arya Mahila Post Graduate College, Chetganj (AMPGC); Vasant Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Kamachha(VKM); Vasanta College for Women, Rajghat (VCW) and DAV Post Graduate College, Ausanganj(DAVPGC) 

The total number of seats in various Courses are indicated in brackets where "M stands for Male only, "F for Female only, and "M&F indicates seats for Male and Female both 

These Courses have been divided into "General Courses", "Professional Courses" and "Special Courses"

BHU Post Graduate Entrance Test (PET) 2017

A - GENERAL COURSES 

i) Faculty of Sanskrit Vidya Dharma Vijnana 

a) Acharya in Veda (Shukla Yajurveda, Krishna Yajurveda, Samveda, Rigveda), Vyakaran, Sahitya, Jyotish (Jyotish Ganit, Jyotish Falit), Dharmashastra, Mimansa, Vedanta, Nyayavaisesika, Prachin Nyaya 
Duration:
 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility: Shastri (Hons),Shastri under at least 10+2+3 pattern, in the concerned subject (studied in all the three years) securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at Shastri level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) mark sheet 

(b) ACHARYA in Sankhyayoga, Puranetihasa - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility: Shastri (Hons), Shastri under at least 10+2+3 pattern, in the concerned subject (studied in all the three years) securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at Shastri level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet; or 
BA (Hons),BA with Sanskrit as a subject (in all the three years) under at least 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at BA level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet 

c) Acharya in Baudha Darshan - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 Shastri (Hons), Shastri under at least 10+2+3 pattern, in the concerned subject (studied in all the three years) securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at Shastri level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet; or 
B.A (Hons), B.A with Sanskrit, Pali as a subject (in all the three years) under at least 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at BA level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet 

d) Acharya in Jain Darshan - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 Shastri (Hons), Shastri under at least 10+2+3 pattern, in the concerned subject (studied in all the three years) securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at Shastri level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet; or 
B.A. (Hons), B.A with Sanskrit, Prakrit as a subject (in all the three years) under at least 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at BA level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet 

e) Acharya in Dharmagama - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 Shastri (Hons.),Shastri under at least 10+2+3 pattern, with subject Dharmagam, Yogatantra, Agamatantra, Agam, Shaivagam (studied in all the three years) securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at Shastri level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) mark sheet 

ii) Faculty of Arts 

a) M.A (Bengali, English, Hindi, Kannada@, Urdu, Sanskrit**, AIHC & Arch ++ (Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology), Philosophy, Geography, Statistics, Mathematics, Home Science) - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility: BA (Hons), BA under at least 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at BA level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet; the subject in whom admission is sought must be Hons subject at BA (Hons) level OR a subject studied in all the three years at BA level 

b) M.A in Linguistics - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 Graduation under at least 10+2+3 pattern with 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at Graduation Level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet 
A candidate who has done PG (following Graduation under at least 10+2+3 pattern) in any Language-Literature, Philosophy, Anthropology, Psychology, Sociology, Mathematics, Computer Science securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate each at graduation and post graduation levels is also eligible 

c) M.A in Nepali - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 The candidate who has passed BA (Hons), BA under atleast 10+2+3 pattern, Shastri(B-Level Nepali passed) with PG Diploma, advanced Diploma,1 year Bridge Course in Nepali Subject securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate both at BA and Diploma Levels will be eligible for admission in MA Nepali 

d) M.A. in Arabic, French, German, Marathi, Persian, Russian, Chinese & Telugu - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 As mentioned in Minimum eligibility requirements of (ii) Faculty of Arts (a) above; or BA (Hons),BA under at least 10+2+3 pattern with PG Diploma, Advanced Diploma in the concerned subject (Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Marathi, Persian, Russian, Nepali, Telugu) securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate both at BA and Diploma levels 

e) M.A. in Indian Philosophy and Religion (IPR) - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 BA (Hons),BA under at least 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at BA level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet 
Philosophy, Religious Studies must be Hons subject; or a subject studied in all the three years at BA level or; BA (Hons), BA in Religious Studies under at least 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent exam securing a minimum of 50% marks taken together 

f) M.A in History of Art - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 BA (Hons), BA under at least 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at BA level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet 
History of Art, AIHC & Arch, Drawing and Painting, BFA (Visual Arts) is Hons subject at BA (Hons) level OR a subject studied in all the three years at BA level 

g) M.A. Pali - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 BA (Hons) in Pali, Buddhist Studies under at least 10+2+3 pattern (OR); Pali, Buddhist Studies, studied in all the three years at BA level; the candidate must have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate both at BA (Hons),BA Level 

Note: In case of students having Pali, Buddhist Studies, courses from the University other than BHU or Foreign Students having different course types in Pali, Buddhist Studies, eligibility and equivalence shall be decided by the Departmental Admission Committee for MA in Pali 

iii) Faculty of Social Sciences 

M.A. in Economics, History+, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology++; Duration: 2 Years (4 Semesters) 
Eligibility:
 BA (Hons), BA, B.Sc (Hons), B.Sc under at least 10+2+3 pattern, securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at BA, B.Sc level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet. The subject in which admission is sought must have been studied in all the three years at undergraduate level 

iv) Faculty of Commerce 

M.Com - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 B.Com (Hons), B.Com, B.Com (Hons.)-FMM under at least (10+2+3) Pattern Securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studies at B.Com level except those subjects where only pass marks are required & which do not contribute to the total in the Final (degree) mark-sheet 

v) Institute of Science 

a) M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Computer Science#, Geography, Mathematics, Statistics, Psychology, Home Science - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 B.Sc (Hons), B.Sc under at least 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in Science subjects (considering all the three years of B.Sc Course) 
The subject in which admission is sought must be Hons subject at B.Sc (Hons.) level, a subject studied in all the three years at Graduate level; however, for admission to M.Sc in Botany, Zoology, a candidate must also have offered Chemistry as one of the subjects at the Graduate level 
Similarly, for admission in M.Sc in Statistics, a candidate must also have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects at the Graduate level 

b) M.Sc in Biochemistry, Geology, Geophysics - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 B.Sc (Hons) in Biochemistry, B.Sc under at least 10+2+3 pattern with Biochemistry as a subject in all the three years of graduation course, securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in Science subjects (considering all the three years of B.Sc Course) 
B.Sc (Hons), B.Sc under at least 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in Science subjects with Physics, Maths and one more Science subject. Geology must be Hons subject at B.Sc (Hons) level, a subject studied in all the three parts at Graduate level 

c) M.Sc in Molecular & Human Genetics - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 B.Sc (Hons), B.Sc (10+2+3) OR B.Sc (Ag) OR MBBS or B.Tech, B.E (in Biology related disciplines) OR B.Pharma from recognized University, Institutes with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade points) at the qualifying examinations and not less than 55% marks at 10 and at 10+2 examinations separately

B. PROFESSIONAL COURSES

(i) Institute of Medical Sciences 

M.Sc in Health Statistics - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 B.Sc (Hons), B.Sc under at least 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in Science subjects (considering all the three years of B.Sc Course). Statistics must be Hons subject at B.Sc (Hons) level,a subject studied in all the three parts at B.Sc level 

(ii) Institute of Agricultural Sciences 

M.Sc (Ag) (Master of Science in Agriculture) in Agricultural Economics; Agronomy; Animal Husbandry & Dairying; Entomology & Agricultural Zoology; Extension Education; Genetics & Plant Breeding; Horticulture; Mycology & Plant Pathology; Plant Physiology; Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 i) Candidates with 4-years B.Sc (Ag) degree with credit based course program under the guidelines of ICAR or an equivalent exam; ii) Candidates with 4-years B.Sc (Horti.) Degree with credit based course program under the guidelines of ICAR will be considered for M.Sc (Ag) Horticulture only; iii) 6.00,10 or 2.5,4, 3.5,5, 4.0,6 OGPA for general candidates; iv) Has not secured more than one III-division or equivalent OGPA in his, her academic career 

(iii) Faculty of Visual Arts 

M.F.A. in Painting, Applied Arts, Plastic Arts, Pottery & Ceramics, Textile Design - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 Passed B.F.A in the subject concerned (10+2+4 pattern or 10+5 pattern) securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate 

(iv) Faculty of Performing Arts 

a) MPA in Vocal, Instrumental (Sitar, Violin, Flute, Tabla) - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 

Eligibility: B.Mus. in Vocal, Instrumental in North Indian Classical Music (Sitar, Violin, Flute or Tabla) from this University or an equivalent Exam from a recognised University securing a minimum of 50% marks in Music Practical; OR 
BA (Hons),BA under at least 10+2+3 pattern with Music (North Indian Classical Music) as a subject from this University or an equivalent Exam from a recognized University securing a minimum of 50% marks in Music Practical; music must be the Hons subject at BA (Hons) level, a subject studied in all the three parts at the graduate level 

b) MPA in Dance: Kathak,Bharat Natyam - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 

Eligibility: B.Mus., BPA in Dance in Indian Classical Dance (Kathak, Bharat Natyam) from this University or an equivalent Examination from a recognised University securing a minimum of 50% marks in Dance Practical; or 
BPA Indian Classical Dance, BA* or an equivalent Examination with Dance (Indian Classical) as the main subject from a recognized University securing a minimum of 50% marks in Dance Practical 

(v) Faculty of Education 

a) M.Ed (Master of Education) - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 Candidates seeking admission to the M.Ed Program should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in any of the following programmes: (i) B.Ed. (ii) BA B.Ed B.Sc, B.Ed (iii) B.EI.Ed (iv) D.EI.Ed with an undergraduate, postgraduate degree (with 50% marks in each) or any equivalent grade 

b) M.Ed-Special Education (VI) - Duration: 2 Semesters (1 Year) 
Eligibility:
 Graduate under 10+2+3 pattern plus B. Ed. -Special Education (VI) (Visual Impairment), B.Ed. with at least One Year Diploma in Special Education (V.I.) from recognized institution with 50% marks in B.Ed-Special Education (V.I.),B.Ed or; 
Any Post Graduate Degree plus B.Ed-Special Education (V.I.), B.Ed with at least One Year Diploma in Special Education (VI) from recognized institution with 50% marks in B.Ed-Special Education (VI), B.Ed 

(vi) Faculty of Arts 

a) M.A. in Mass Communication - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility: 
Graduate Degree in any discipline under at least 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at Graduate level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet; (OR) Post-graduate Degree in any subject securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate, both at Graduate and Post-Graduate levels 

b) M.A. in Museology - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 M.A. in History of Art, Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology, History, Sanskrit securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate after Graduation under at least 10+2+3 pattern 
c) M.A. in Manuscriptology and Paleography (under Dept of Library and Information Science) - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 BA (Hons), BA under 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate at B.A level; the Honours subject at BA (Hons) Level should be Indian Languages, Oriental Languages, History, AIHC, Philosophy, History of Arts, Linguistics (OR); MA with 50% marks in the above subjects 

d) M.Lib.I.Sc (Master of Library & Information Science) - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 Graduate degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at Graduate level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet 

e) M.P.Ed (Master of Physical Education) - Duration: 4 Semesters (2Years) 
Eligibility:
 Graduate degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern with one year Degree or Diploma in Physical Education securing at least 50% marks in the aggregate at Degree, Diploma in Physical Education; (OR) Four years Bachelor of Physical Education (Professional) Degree securing at least 50% marks in the aggregate 

(vii) Faculty of Law 

LL.M (Master of Laws) - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 3-Year LLB after Graduation under at least 10+2+3 pattern or five years LLB under 10+2+5 pattern recognised by the Bar Council of India securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in LL.B degree 

(viii) Faculty of Science 

MCA (Master of Computer Applications) (Main Campus & RGSC*) - Duration: 6 Semesters (3 Years) 
Eligibility:
 Bachelor’s Degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate (including all subjects studied at Bachelor's level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet) with Mathematics as one of the subjects at either Intermediate or +2 (10+2) or equivalent exam, or; Bachelor’s level (as a main or a subsidiary subjects) 

(ix) Mahila Mahavidyalaya 

a) M.Sc in Bioinformatics [For Females only] - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 (A) 10+2 with Science and (B) Bachelor’s degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern in Science, Engineering, Technology, Agriculture, Medicine, Veterinary Science, Pharmaceutics with at least 50% marks in the aggregate 

Note: i) Course is open for female candidates only; ii)For all courses the applicants having a degree equivalent to the degree of qualifying exam recognized by the Banaras Hindu University are also eligible (if they satisfy all other requirements for admission in the concerned course) 

b) MA (Master of Education) (for Females only) - Duration: 4 Semesters (2 Years) 
Eligibility:
 Graduate under at least 10+2+3 pattern with Education (Hons.),having Education as a subject in any of the three years, or any graduate under 10+2+3 pattern plus B.Ed., B.Ed. (Spl.) securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate at Graduation level

C - SPECIAL COURSES OF STUDY

Candidates are advised to take note of the following: 
i) The admission to following special courses will be made on the basis of merit in the entrance tests; however, if the number of applicants for a particular special course is less than twice the minimum number of seats, no entrance test shall be conducted 
In that case, admission to the special course would be made on the basis of merit in the qualifying examinations and, or written, subjective test conducted by the Depts, Faculty

iv) 15% seats out of total number of seats in M.P.Ed are allocated for female candidates; in case any such seats remain vacant, these will be filled by male candidates on merit

The University has created its Entrance Test Portal with the domain name www.bhuonline.in; its link is also available on the BHU website (www.bhu.ac.in

The entire process of making an application for admission in various courses during the academic session 2017-18 has been made online 

Accordingly, candidates may note that PET 2017 Information Bulletin and Application Form will not be sold (as there will be no offline mode) and the candidates desirous of admissions shall be required to register on the Entrance Test portal of BHU and fill up the application form online as per procedure provided on the Portal

Mode of Payment of Application Processing,Test Fee 

Candidate is required to fill up the PET 2017 Application Form On-Line, as the University will not sell the printed Information Bulletin-cum-Application Form; after the candidate has filled up the application form online, he, she will have following options for payment of Application Processing, Entrance Test Fee: 

a) Online payment through credit card, debit card through the payment gateway available on the Entrance test portal 

b) Payment of Entrance Test Fee in Cash through “Challan” in any branch of HDFC Bank: After filling up the application form, its submission and selecting this mode for payment, the candidate can print the Challan from the entrance test portal 
The printout of challan will contain all necessary details of the candidate, bank account details of the Banaras Hindu University in which the entrance test fee will be deposited and the exact amount to be deposited 
The candidate will be required to visit any branch of the HDFC Bank of his, her choice where he, she will be required to deposit the requisite Fee amount to the Bank

Entrance Test Centres

Admit Card 

1. Candidates can download the Admit Card from the BHU Entrance Test Portal (www.bhuonline.in) around one week prior to date of conduct of test providing the unique registration ID allotted to them at the time of online submission of application form 
2. SMS alert on the mobile phone registered by the candidate regarding loading of Admit Card will also be sent. Therefore, the candidates are advised to give correct e-mail addresses, mobile phone numbers for correspondence while filling up the online application form 

3. If a candidate is unable to download the Admit Card till 03 days before the date of the Test, he,she should contact the Office of the Controller of Examinations, BHU, Varanasi on Help DeskPhone No. 08574587668 and help desk Email ID available on Entrance Test Portal 

Result 

The University shall try to announce the results of the candidates around 3rd - 4th week of June 2017 which would be available on BHU’s Entrance Test portal ww.bhuonline.in. In addition, marks obtained by the candidate in the test, his,her overall merit and merit within the category to which he,she belongs shall be e-mailed at his,her registered email address and sent through SMS at his,her registered mobile number provided by the candidate in the application form

IPU CET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must read the IPU CET 2017 eligibility criteria thoroughly before applying for the exam.

Here are the GGSIPU-CET-2017 Eligibility requirements:

Candidates must have passed class 12th from a recognized board

A minimum aggregate of 55% in class 12th is a prerequisite, but the candidate must have passed all subjects (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) separately

The candidates must have passed English subject (core, elective or functional)

They should be 21 years old as on the date of examination

The candidates appearing in Class 12th exam in 2017 are eligible to apply provided that they should be able to meet the eligibility criteria at the time of IPU-CET counseling.
The appearing candidates are required to present the 12th class mark sheets at the time of counseling

Age Limit

(As on 01st August 2017 candidate should not be more than)

i) For all Undergraduate Programmes where entry qualification is 12th pass other than MBBS, BDS - 21st years

ii) For MBBS, BDS - 35 years

iii) For all other Post Graduate Programs where entry qualification is graduation - 45 years

iv) Bachelor of Vocation - 45 year

Note

1. Candidate should be not less than 17 years as on 31st December 2017 for BHMS, BAMS, MBBS, BDS Program

2. For MPH (FE) Programme, upper age limit is 45 years for in service candidates and 35 years for direct candidates, as in August 2017

3. For BHMS candidates, the candidate must have attained or will attain the age of 17 years as in December 2017

4. For Bachelor of Vocation Programmes the candidate should not be less than 16 years in December 2017

IPU CET 2017 Admit Card

All candidates must possess their IPU CET 2017 Admit Card while appearing for the entrance test

Admit card can be downloaded from the university website just 7 days prior to the CET exam date

Applicants can download IPU CET 2017 Hall Ticket by using their login and password. The applicants must carry two hard copies of the admit card, with 2 passport photographs on it, on the day of the exam

IPU CET 2017 Exam Pattern

Candidates must read the exam pattern of IPU CET 2017 to know about various aspects of the exam and question paper such as number, type and weightage of the questions, exam duration and marking scheme. IPU CET 2017 Exam pattern is given below:

The test will be comprised of total 150 questions

The questions are asked from the syllabus of class 11th and 12th

The total time for the entrance test will be 150 minutes

For B.Tech the question will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Maths

There is equal weightage for all the three subjects

The questions will be of objective type having four answers

There will be negative marking for the wrong answers

Four marks will be given for a correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer

The entrance exam for B.Tech will be conducted in first week of May 2017 where as the entrance exam for B.Tech (Biotechnology) will be conducted in third week of May 2017

Interested candidates are required to fill the application form online, latest by last week of March 2017

IPU CET 2017 Application Form

To apply for the exam and admission process, the candidates will be required to fill IPU CET 2017 Application Form. The forms could be obtained from the official website of IP University, from last week of March 2017

Procedure to Fill Online Application Forms: Fill the details and click on Next to proceed. Use Mouse to move between fields for entry of data instead of using Tab Key. Fields marked with are mandatory. Once a candidate has submitted his,her details, they cannot edit the same and have to re register in case they need to change any personal information.

Submission of Counselling Participation Fee

Candidate has to deposit a nonrefundable Rs.1000,- plus charges as applicable, as one time (non refundable) Counselling Participation Fee, as per the schedule for each CET Code

For depositing the Counselling Participation Fee, the candidate has to visit the GGSIP University admission website www.ipuadmissions.nic.in and select the option for “payment of counselling participation fee" enters CET details viz CET Roll No, Date of Birth and Mobile Number. After submission of the details as mentioned in para 2 the candidate will get two options of payment:

i) Cash payment (challan will be generated and fee may be deposited through cash in any branch of Indian Bank)

ii) Net Banking, Credit Card and Debit Card

The candidates are required to check the status of fee payment on the website www.ipuadmissions.nic.in and must take the printout of online fee confirmation receipt with the transaction details, to be retained for all future reference. In case of payment of fee through Challan, the candidate must retain the copy of the Challan after depositing the fees

Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination has announced the exam dates for Tripura Joint Entrance Examinations (TJEE) 2017, which will be conducted in April 2017. The TJEE for Physics and Chemistry will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 and Mathematics and Biology will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017.

The Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) will conduct Tripura Joint Entrance Examination (TJEE)-2017 on the basis of its new syllabi (updated in 2015) at Dharmanagar, Kailasahar, Ambassa, Udaipur and Agarala to prepare merit list for admission to Engineering, Technological, Veterinary, Agriculture, Fisheries and other Professional Degree Courses against available seats reserved for the State of Tripura.

Eligibility Criteria for Tripura JEE 2017:

Candidate must be a citizen of India.

·         Candidate must be a permanent resident of Tripura and either the candidate or his/her parent must have been residing in the state of Tripura continuously for not less than 10 (ten) years immediately prior to the date of making application for appearing at the Joint Entrance Examination-2017.

·         Candidate must have passed/ appeared/ due to appear in the year of joint entrance examination at the higher secondary examination of TBSE/ CBSE or equivalent examination with the subjects in which he / she desires to appear at the joint entrance examination.

How to Apply:

Application Procedure for Tripura JEE 2017:

·         The Application Form & Prospectus may be obtained from counter of the office of the Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE), Agartala, on all working days (excluding Sundays and all other holidays) on payment of Rs. 100/ (Rupees one hundred) only in cash. The Application Form & Prospectus may be obtained by postal request from the office of the Tripura Board of Joint

Four different subjects, namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology will have four different Question Papers/Test Booklets.

Full marks for each question paper of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology will be 100 marks.

Duration of Examination of each paper will be 2 hours.

Each question will carry 2 (two) marks. Total marks for a question paper will be 100 for each subject.

Each question will have four options (i.e. A,B,C,D) out of which the correct option (A/B/C/D) is only to be selected.

Eligibility:

For Bachelor Degree Programmes:

a) BTech, Dual Degree in Engineering, Dual Degree in Management: Pass or appearing (in the year 2017) at 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Biology, Informatics, Statistics or any other subject as approved by appropriate authority, by securing at least 50% marks taken together in the subjects mentioned.
OR
Pass in Diploma in Engineering, Technology with less than 60% marks in aggregate.
b) MBBS, BDS: Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (in the year 2017) or any equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) and English individually and must have secured a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination. In respect of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Schedules Tribes and Other backward Classes the marks secured in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination can be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates. For PH candidates qualifying examination marks is 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together. As per MCI & DCI guidelines candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test. For SC, ST, OBC candidates the limit is minimum of 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test. For PH candidates the limit is minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test. All candidates must pass in English.

Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17 years and the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31.12.2017. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of  5 (five) years for the candidates of SC and ST.
c) BPharm: Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (in the year 2017) with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics ,Biotechnology ,Computer Science, Biology, Information Technology or any other subject as approved by appropriate authority, by securing at least 45% marks taken together in the subjects mentioned (40% incase of candidates belonging to SC,ST,OBC category) OR Pass in Diploma programme in Pharmacy with less than 60% marks.

d) BHMCT: Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2017) in any discipline with at least 45% marks (40% incase of SC, ST, OBC category)
e) BSc in Nursing (Basic): Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (in the year 2017) with at least 45% marks in aggregate (English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together) and 40% marks in aggregate for SC ,ST ,OBC candidates only. 

Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17 years as on 31.12.2017.

f) BSc in Nursing (Post Basic): Passed GNM examination, and registered with concerned State Nursing Council. Candidate must be a member of TNAI.
g) Five years integrated BBA LLB Honours Programme: Pass or appearing (2017) the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with at least 45% marks. Relaxable to 40% in case of SC, ST. Candidate should not have completed 20 years of age as on 1st August 2017.

For Master Degree Programmes:

a) MTech: Pass or appearing in BE, BTech, AMIE, MCA, MSc in the respective discipline or equivalent. For MTech in Biotechnology, candidates having BTech, BE in Biotechnology or related fields, MSc in Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Science or equivalent, MBBS, BPharm, BVSc with Biology as a subject at +2 level are eligible. Candidates having MCA and MSc (Maths) degree are eligible for MTech in Comp Sc & Data Processing. Candidates with MSc (Electronics) are eligible for MTech in Electronics & Communication Engineering and MTech in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering. MSc in Computer Science and IT are eligible for MTech in Computer Science & Engineering and CS&IT respectively. A candidate with BTech (Environmental, Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgy) or MSc (Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Geology, Life Science, Botany, Zoology) is eligible for MTech in Environmental Science & Technology. For MTech Material Science & Technology candidate must have MSc (Physics),MSc (Chemistry) ,BTech (Electronics & Communication Engg), BTech (Electrical Engg) For admission to MTech, candidates have to pass the qualifying examination with at least 50% marks. GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test, but they have to submit the filled up form. Admission into MTech programmes will be done on the basis of performance in SAAT-2017 or valid GATE score and personal interview taken together. After the interview,the merit list prepared by the Board members will be final.
b) MCA: Pass or appearing (in the year 2017) at three year Bachelor Degree in any discipline from any recognised University with at least 50% of marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC ,ST ,OBC Category) having Mathematics at 10+2 level or at +3 level. Candidates having Business mathematics at +2 or +3 level are not eligible.
c) MBA, MHMCT, MHA, MHTM: Pass or appearing (2017) three year Bachelor Degree in Science, Commerce and Arts ,BE ,BTech ,MBBS ,BPharm, BSc Agri, BVSC, BHMS,BAMS, BDS, BPT,BHMCT ,BBA ,BCA examination or equivalent in 2017 from any recognized University with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC,ST,OBC category). For MHMCT the candidate must have secured at least 50% marks (45% incase of candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC Category) in BHMCT. Candidate having a minimum composite score of 500 in GMAT, CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA or any other equivalent test are exempted from appearing SAAT-2017. They are required only to submit the filled up application form. Admission will be done on the basis of performance in SAAT-2017 or MAT followed by group discussion and personal interview (GD, PI), all taken together.
d) MPharm: Pass or appearing (2017) at BPharm examination from any recognized University with at least 50% marks. The candidates having valid GPAT score can apply. GPAT qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test, but they have to submit the filled up form. Admission into MPharm programme will be done on the basis of performance in SAAT-2017 or valid GPAT and personal interview taken together and a final merit list will be prepared. e) MSc in Biotechnology Pass or appearing (2017) at three year Bachelor degree in Science OR four year Bachelor course in Agriculture, Pharmacy, Veterinary, Engineering, Technology, Medicine (MBBS,BDS) from any recognized University with at least 50% marks (45% incase of candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC category).

f) MSc in Nursing: Passed BSc Nursing (Basic, Post Basic) Degree with 55% aggregate from an Institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council with a minimum of one year experience either in teaching or clinical area but they should be registered in State Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.
g) LLM: Pass or appearing (2017) Bachelor Degree in Law or studied Integrated Law Course or equivalent thereof, from any recognized University, securing 50% Marks in aggregate.
For Lateral Entry Programmes:

a) Admission to 2nd year Degree Programme in Engineering, Pharmacy & Hotel Management for Diploma holders: Pass or appearing (in the year 2017) at three year diploma course in Engineering ,Pharmacy and Hotel Management respectively with at least 60% marks in aggregate from State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha or equivalent. For Pharmacy, pass or appearing (in the year 2017) at two year diploma course in Pharmacy with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from State Board of Pharmacy (SBP) or SCTE&VT, Odisha, or equivalent.

b) Lateral Entry MCA: Pass or appearing (in the year 2017) in three year Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), BSc in Information Technology and BSc in Computer Science with at least 60% of marks in aggregate from any recognized University.
c) Choice of Discipline: Candidates having Diploma in Engineering indicated under Column – I are eligible for admission into the corresponding discipline only mentioned under Column – II (Appendix - XVIII). Candidates will appear a common paper in the entrance test and the branch allotment will be done during the counselling as per Appendix-XVIII.

NOTE: Candidates appearing at the qualifying examination (in the year 2017) may also apply. But, they have to produce the pass certificate of the qualifying examination with pass mark in individual appropriate subjects as mentioned for different programmes on the day of counseling, failing which the rank ,position secured in the entrance examination will stand cancelled automatically and they will have no claim for the admission as per the rank. The above mentioned clause is also applicable for pass out candidates. e.g.: For BTech the candidate has to secure pass mark in each of the following subjects - Physics, Mathematics and any one of the subject.

About College:

The Temple of Learning Lalit Narayan Mithila Vishvidyalaya, Darbhanga is an outcome of the cherished desire of the people of this region. Eminent academicians like Dr. Amarnatha Jha, Dr. R.C. Mazumdar, Dr. A. S. Altekar, Dr. Sunit Kumar Chaterjee and many others had expressed their view in favour of the establishment of modern University at Darbhanga. The demand was voiced time and again on the floors of the state legislatures and in the Parliament. On the 27th January, 1947 (Vasantpanchami Day) at a meeting of some of the leading citizens.

ESTABLISHMENT

Mithila University was established on August 5, 1972 by an Ordinance of the Government of Bihar subsequently enacted through legislatures. The University is governed by the Bihar State Universities Act, 1976. The University was renamed as LALIT NARAYAN MITHILA UNIVERSITY vide University notification No. 6760-7244 dated 28 April, 1980.

The territorial jurisdiction of the University is spread over four districts of Bihar namely Madhubani, Darbhanga, Samastipur and Begusarai. The university has 43 constituent colleges and 25 affiliated colleges besides two government colleges - Darbhanga Medical College & Hospital and Rural Institute, Birouli, Samastipur. 42 constituent colleges and 07 affiliated colleges are registered under section 2 f and 12(B) of the U.G.C. Act, 1956.

The univesity has a picturesque and lushgreen campus spread over an area of nearly 230 acres.

U.G.C. RECOGNITION

1986 should go down as another important year in the history of L.N. Mithila University, when the University got much needed recognition of the University Grants Commission (U.G.C) under section 12(A) of the U.G.C Act paving way for the receipt of the various types of financial assistance from the UGC. The U.G.C started providing institutional development grants under section 12(B) of the U.G.C Act since February 1989. This notable achievement of the University accelerated pace of campus development. The developmental activities within the University campus began to stride with the investment of grants received from the U.G.C. and the State Government. Botany, Physics, Chemistry and Zoology Science Blocks, Central Library Building, Social Sciences Block, University Health Centre, University Health Centre. Kosi, Baghmati, and Gandak P.G. Hostels for boys and Archana (Kamala) Hostel for girl students are new additions to the structural built of the University campus. The last phase of the ninth five years plan has set the tempo of construction activities, as a result of which eight U.G.C. quarters for lecturers, canteen, an ambitious Silver Jubilee Hall are nearing completion. Besides, the projects of construction of large stadium, magnificent auditorium, quarters for Pro-Vice-Chancellor and registrar etc. are on the anvil.

Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD), New Delhi has announced the exam dates for IIAD Design Aptitude Test (iDAT), which will be conducted in June 2016. The iDAT will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016. iDAT is conducted for taking admission to B.A. (Hons.) Fashion Design, B.A.  (Hons.) Interior Architecture & Design and B.A. (Hons.) Communication Design programs for the academic session 2016.

The Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD) in collaboration with Kingston University, London, offers a creative, studio based education through its three rigorous Bachelor degree programs in Fashion Design, Interior Architecture & Design, and Communication Design.

Eligibility Criteria for iDAT 2016:

Ø       Candidates must have appeared, passed the CBSE, ISC, IB (or any other equivalent board) 10+2 examination in any discipline. Candidates who have recently appeared for the examination and are awaiting their Results may also apply.

Ø       Lateral entry into the 2nd year of the program is possible for students who have successfully completed the first year of their design degree, diploma program from a nationally or internationally recognized Design Institute.

How to Apply:

Application Procedure for iDAT 2016:

Candidates can apply either through online or offline mode.

Online Application:

Ø       For applying through online mode, applicants are required to submit their applications through the IIAD admissions portal.

Ø       The online application fee payment of Rs.1,000 must be made through credit, debit, net banking facilities of all major banks.

Offline Applications:

Ø       The offline applicants can download the application form.

Ø       The application form and brochure is also available at select outlets at a fee of Rs. 1,000.

Ø       If this fee is paid at the time of purchase from any outlet, the fee need not be paid again at the time of application submission.

Paper Pattern for iDAT 2016:

Ø       iDAT is a mandatory two hour test.

Ø       The IIAD Admission Committee will review each student's aptitude for observation, drawing and design skills, imaginative and creative expression, and visual and communication strengths.

Scholarships:

Ø       IIAD offers 30 Scholarships to meritorious students. Candidates with a 70% aggregate in the CBSE, ISC, IB (or any other equivalent board) 10+2 examination in any discipline may apply for scholarship. The final result will depend also on performance in the iDAT, personal interview and portfolio review.

Kakatiya University (KU), Warangal has announced the exam dates for Kakatiya University Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (KU PGCET 2016), which will be conducted in May-June 2016. The KU PGCET will be held from Saturday, May 28, 2016 to Sunday, June 05, 2016.

 

KU PGCET is conducted for taking admission to postgraduate degree in Master of Arts (M.A), Master of Science (M.Sc), Master of Education (M.Ed), Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM), Master of Tourism Management (MTM), Master of Social Work (MSW), Master of Mass Communication & Journalism (MCJ), Master of Commerce (M.Com), PG Diploma in Sericulture, Clinical Biochemistry and 5-Year integrated M.Sc. ·         The registration fee for a single subject is Rs. 400/- for OC, BC candidates and Rs. 300/- for SC, ST, PH candidates. The registration fee may be paid at any TS, AP Online centers or through payment gateway (credited,Debit cards) , Net Banking.

 

Paper Pattern for KU PGCET 2016:

 

·         The entrance tests in all the subjects, except that of M.P.Ed, will consist of 100 multiple choice objective questions for 100 marks.

 

·         For M.P.Ed program, the entrance test will be of 75 multiple choice objective questions 75 marks. The remaining 25 marks will be awarded by the Department of Physical Education, Kakatiya University for the sports achievements of the candidates.
