Joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS)

CSIR has scheduled the Joint CSIR-UGC Test tentatively on Sunday, 16^th December, 2018 for determining the eligibility of Indian Nationals for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and for determining eligibility for appointment as Lecturer (LS) in the areas of Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences. The award of Junior Research Fellowship to the successful eligible candidates will depend on their finding admission/placement in a University/ National laboratory/ Institution of higher learning and research, as applicable.

Eligibility:

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/BE/BTech/BPharma/MBBS with at least 55% marks for General (UR) and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates; Candidates enrolled for M.Sc or having completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination as on the closing date of online submission of application form, are also eligible to apply in the above subject under the Result Awaited (RA) category on the condition that they complete the qualifying degree with requisite percentage of marks within the validity period of two years to avail the fellowship from the effective date of award (Such candidates will have to submit the attestation form duly certified by the Head of the Department/Institute from where the candidate is appearing or has appeared);

B.Sc (Hons) or equivalent degree holders or students enrolled in Integrated MS-Ph.D program with at least 55% marks for General (UR) and OBC candidates; 50% marks for SC/ST, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates are also eligible to apply. Candidates with bachelor’s degree will be eligible for CSIR fellowship only after getting registered/enrolled for Ph.D/Integrated Ph.D program within the validity period of two years; Candidates possessing only Bachelor’s degree shall not be eligible for Lectureship; Specification of degrees (whether Bachelor’s or Master’s) as notified by the UGC in its Gazette Notification No. F. 5- 1/2013 (CPP-II) dated 5th July, 2014 and as amended from time to time, shall apply; The eligibility for lectureship of NET qualified candidates will be subject to fulfilling the criteria laid down by UGC. Ph.D degree holders who have passed Master’s degree prior to 19th September 1991, with at least 50% marks are eligible to apply for Lectureship only.

Upper Age Limit & Relaxation: Maximum 28 years as on 01-07-2018 for JRF(NET) {upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/Persons with Disability(PwD)/female applicants and 03 years for OBC (non creamy layer) applicants}. No upper age limit for Lectureship (NET).

How to Apply:

Examination Fee: General: Rs.1000/-, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Rs.500/-, and SC/ST/PwD: Rs.250/-.

Other Backward Class (OBC) candidate whose caste is not listed in the Central List and/or who does not belong to OBC (Non Creamy Layer), though his/her caste is listed in the central list, shall apply as ‘General’ candidate and is required to pay Examination fee @ Rs.1000/-.

Candidates applying for the Examination are required to use payment gateway facility to deposit their Examination fee only through Credit Card or Debit Card or Net Banking. Candidates are not required to pay any transaction charges for using payment gateway facility.

The single paper MCQ based test will be held tentatively on Sunday, the 16^th December, 2018 as under:

The subject-wise session and timing of the Test is liable to be changed at the discretion of CSIR, depending on the number of candidates in each subject.

Interested eligible candidates may visit CSIR-HRDG website and see the Information Bulletin for detailed information/instructions from 19.09.2018. Candidates are required to apply online. The online application will be available on the website from 25.09.2018. Candidates are advised to also go through the ‘How to Apply’ link available on the Online Application portal while filling the form. The last date for applying online is 15.10.2018.

The application form for JNU Admission 2018 is available from 15th September 2017. Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi will conduct JNUEE 2018 (Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam) from 27th to 30th December 2017. It is a university level entrance examination organizes every year for admission to UG, PG and Ph.D. courses.

Candidates seeking admission to Jawaharlal Nehru University under a particular programme should submit JNUEE 2018 application form before due date. The applications for the same is available from 15th September 2017.

Eligibility:

Candidates can appear in the entrance examination only if they fulfill the eligibility requirements for the programmes for which they are seeking admission. JNU Eligibility for some popular courses is given in below table:

JNUEE Exam Pattern 2018

The JNUEE 2018 exam pattern include details about number of questions, subjects, marking scheme, etc. For each programme of JNU, there shall be different exam pattern.

Exam Mode: The examination will be written in offline mode.

Number of Questions: There shall be different number of questions for each programme.

Subjects: The subjects that includes in question paper will depend upon the course. Subjects varies from course to course.

Negative Marking: There shall be negative marking for incorrect answers.

Exam Duration: The time provided for completing the examination will be 3 hours.

How to Apply:

JNUEE Application Form 2018

Get details of the JNUEE 2018 application form including mode of filling the application form, application fee, etc.

JNUEE 2018 application form can be filled through online mode only.

The application form has been released from 15th September 2017.

Candidates have to upload the scanned images of photograph & signature.

Photograph (with specification 150 px width and 200 px height, size less than 20-50 KB) and signature (140 px width and 60 px height size less than 10-20 KB) has to be uploaded in the application form.

Pay the application through the prescribed modes.

Last date to submit the application has been extended till 17th October 2017.

Candidates are suggested to take the printout of confirmation page for further use.

Note: Candidates can fill maximum three fields of study in a single application form for the same level of programme (like COP, B.A.  (Hons.) or M.A./M.Sc./MCA or M.Phil./Ph.D., M.Tech./Ph.D., MPH/Ph.D.). They are not required to fill in separate application forms. In case a candidate submits more than one application form for the same level of programme, his/her candidature will be rejected.

Payment can be made through internet banking/credit card/debit card or e-challan of SBI bank. GST will also be applicable.

Eligibility:

For Undergraduate, Integrated: Candidates should have passed 10 + 2 examination in relevant discipline with 50% of marks from any of the recognized board of examinations.

CUCET Syllabus:

How to Apply:

Applications should be submitted online only; offline applications will not be accepted

There are various Integrated and Under Graduate Programmes available under 7 participating Central Universities (PUs) Eligibility for all integrated and undergraduate programmes is successful completion of 10+2 or equivalent Candidates who have appeared for the final examinations are eligible to apply.

Online: Candidates can apply and pay online at the university website. On successful online application submission with online, debit card, credit card successful payment an automated e-mail and SMS will be sent to the mail id & mobile number you have given in the application form. For online application and payment made through “Challan” you may have to wait for 7-days and if you do not receive it within 07 days, you may send an email to CUCET email.

Offline: Candidates wishing to apply offline can download the form website or form the website of any of the seven participating Universities.

The filled in form is to be submitted in person or through post to the nearest participating Central University along with a payment authentication challan.

Candidates can also obtain the form in person from the office of the any of the seven participating Central Universities on payment of Rs. 700/- in cash (Rs. 350/- for SC, ST candidates)

The filled in form has to be submitted to the same University from where the form has been purchased

In Case IOB Branch is available: You may make the payment through any branch of India Overseas Bank

The challan for making the payment can be downloaded from website or any the participation University website

Fill the application form as well as the challan

In the challan, all the important details are already pre-filled

Fill in the appropriate amount and fill other vacant spaces (as necessary)

In the three part challan, you will get two parts back. One copy is meant for the University

Attach the university copy of the challan and submit, post to the nearest participating Central University

Take a photocopy of the candidates copy and attach it with the application form and handover, post it to the nearest participation Central University
