About College:

FLAME (Foundation for Liberal And Management Education) was founded in 2004, by Mr. Nemish Shah (Founder Director, FLAME; Philanthropist; Financial Advisor and Founder, ENAM Financial Consultants Pvt. Ltd.)  and Mr. Parag Shah (Founder Chairman, FLAME; Entrepreneur of series of enterprises) with a desire to give something back to society. They decided to create an educational institute that did not conform to the norms and rote education that was prevalent in India.

Dr. B.V. Doshi (famous Indian Architect from Ahmedabad) and Prof. Indira J. Parikh (Founder President, FLAME and former Dean, IIM, Ahmedabad) then joined the effort to create FLAME, anchored in Liberal Education. FLAME commenced operations on September 16th, 2007.  It is an institution of learning that aims to deliver experiential learning to foster in students; the professionalism, collaboration, appreciation of leadership, ability to work hard, take rational decisions, and develop high thinking and sensitization to social needs.

The concept of an undergraduate School of Liberal Education offering undergraduate programs in a host of subjects from Humanities, Social Sciences and Natural Sciences, Creative Arts, and applied areas; a School of Business offering a PGDM in Management, a School of Communication offering PGDM in Mass Media, a School of Performing Arts and a Center for Organizational Growth and Excellence offering Management Development Programs for the industry emerged after discussions on the lacunae in the current education system with intellectuals, students and heads of educational institutions.  

FLAME, spread on 75 acres of green expanse aims to prepare students who have a strong desire to learn and grow continually, welcome new ideas, value diversity with desire to succeed and give one’s best towards excellence in all spheres of life. Its curriculum includes perspective building, skills and competencies for communication, problem-solving skills, creativity, innovation and teamwork that also meet the needs of the diverse sectors of the country.

Course Description:

Post Graduation Diploma in Management (PGDM) Liberal Education [FLAME School of Liberal Education offers a four-year undergraduate program culminating in a double qualification: FLAME Diploma in Liberal Education and a BA or BBA]

Eligibility:

Eligibility and Selection Procedure for Post Graduation Diploma in Management PGDM Liberal Education in Foundation for Liberal and Management Education, FLAME, Pune

The minimum eligibility to apply to FLAME University’s postgraduate programs is the following: 

A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a university / institution recognized by the UGC or equivalent bodies with a minimum score of 50% in aggregate or an equivalent grade (CGPA/ CPI/ etc.). Candidates in their final year of bachelor’s degree program can also apply, provided they can produce the final year degree certificate / mark sheet before 30th September 

Test scores in any of the following national level tests conducted in the current year - *CAT (conducted by IIMs)/ **XAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ MH-CET or ***GMAT 

* IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the program 

** XLRI has no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the program 

GMAT scores are valid for 5 years. Please ensure that your scores are valid till the date of enrollment specified in the schedule. 

Note: Students passing through distance mode of learning do not meet the minimum eligibility criteria.

The goal of our assessment process is to select best performing and well-rounded applicants who can contribute and enhance the learning experience at FLAME University. We have an internal assessment process which considers the following aspects of your application:

Application fee is INR 1500 

It can be paid through the following modes: 

Debit Card or Credit Card (All major cards except American Express) 

Demand Draft (DD): Make a Demand Draft in favour of the respective postgraduate school you are applying for (FLAME School of Business orFLAME School of Communication), payable in Pune 

In the application form, you can mention the Demand Draft details (such as the Demand Draft number, Bank, and Date). After submission, send the Demand Draft (with your application number mentioned behind) to FLAME (Foundation for Liberal and Management Education, 401, Phoenix Commercial Complex, Bund Garden, Opposite, Residency Club, Pune-411001, Maharashtra, India) 

Purchase of scratch card from counsellors: You may directly pay the application fee by cash to any of the FLAME University’s admission counsellors by purchasing a scratch card voucher
