Administrative Structure

BIT, Mesra is a "Deemed University" under Sec. 3 of the U.G.C. Act 1956. The Board of Governors is responsible for the main functions and overall supervision of activities. It comprises representatives of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the U.G.C., the State Government, The Chancellor, the AICTE, The Hindustan Charity Trust and the Institute Faculty. Shri C.K. Birla is the Chairman of the Board of Governors while the Governor of the state of Jharkhand officiates as the Institute's Chancellor.  There's a Technical Council that decides the academic policy of the Institute.

1)      Candidates must have passed in ALL subjects in which they have appeared in Class 10 (excluding optional subjects) with minimum 60% (45% for SC/ST) marks in average. Marks in Class 10 to be computed as average of marks obtained in ALL subjects in which candidate has appeared (excluding optional subjects).

2)      Candidates must have passed in ALL subjects in which they have appeared in Class 12 (excluding optional subjects) with minimum 60% (45% for SC/ST) marks in average. Marks in Class 12 will be computed as average of best 5 subjects in which candidate has appeared, including English, Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry

3)      Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislatures in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India/AIU. This degree must entail a minimum of three years of education (10+2+3 system) after completing higher secondary schooling (Class 12 or equivalent).

4)      Candidates must have one of following qualifications:

a) Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), or

b) B.Sc. in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics, or

c) B.Sc. with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at graduate level.

5)      Candidates of B.Sc. Honours must have minimum 60% (45% for SC/ST) marks in average in their Honours subject. Candidates of BCA and other graduate courses must have minimum 60% (45% for SC/ST) marks in average in graduation, marks to be computed as average of marks obtained in ALL subjects in which candidate has appeared (excluding optional subjects).

In the case of a student from any school that follows the American system of education, the candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology (and desirably Mathematics) at AP' (Advanced Placement) level and must have minimum 'C' grade in these subjects 

In the case of students, passing Cambridge International Exam (CIE) the candidate should have passed Physics, Chemistry & Biology at "Advanced" level

Ntional Institute for empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD) established in the year 2005, on East Coast Road, Muttukadu, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, (about 30 km from Chennai Central railway station, Mofussil bus terminus and airport) Under Department of Disability Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, to serve as a national resource center for empowerment of persons with Multiple Disabilities such as those with two or more disabilities in a person. The University of Mumbai (known earlier as University of Bombay) is one of the oldest and premier Universities in India. It was established in 1857 consequent upon "Wood's Education Dispatch", and it is one amongst the first three Universities in India.

As a sequel to the change in the name of the city from Bombay to Mumbai, the name of the University has been changed from "University of Bombay " to "University of Mumbai " ,vide notification issued by the Government of Maharashtra and published in the Government Gazette dated 4th September, 1996.

GUJCET 2017 Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates are required to meet the following eligibility criteria while applying for admissions under GUJCET 2017. 

Nationality: The applicant should be of Indian nationality. 

Domicile: Should be a bonafide resident of Gujarat. Even those applicants who are bonafide residents of Gujarat but are residing in other states of the country, defense/central Government applicants are also eligible to apply for GUJCET 2017.

In the case of a student from any school that follows the American system of education, the candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology (and desirably Mathematics) at AP' (Advanced Placement) level and must have minimum 'C' grade in these subjects 

In the case of students, passing Cambridge International Exam (CIE) the candidate should have passed Physics, Chemistry & Biology at "Advanced" level 

Subjects and Syllabi for the Entrance Test 
The Entrance Test will consist of 100 objective types multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) carrying 100 marks (25 marks each subject) 
The recommended syllabus for the test has been given in this brochure as Annexure-DPU AIBTCET 2017 Admission Procedure 

(i) Admissions to all these courses shall be by an All India Biotechnology Common Entrance Text (AIBTCET-2017) conducted by the Vidyapeeth 
The test will be of 01.30 hrs duration and will have 100 objectives multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of one mark each; the recommended syllabus for this test is appended in this brochure as Annexure-I

(ii) It shall be the responsibility of the candidate to ascertain the result of the AIBTCET-2017 

Test Booklet 

Candidates shall be provided with a sealed Test Booklet 5 minutes before the scheduled time of the Test. Candidate shall write with black ballpoint pen the required information regarding: Seat Number, Name, Centre Code and Centre of examination in the columns on the Test Booklet without opening the seal

About College:

Established by the Government of Gujarat, under the flagship of Home Department - Government of Gujarat. The Gujarat Forensic Sciences University is a highly specialized higher education institution that came into existence through an Act: No. 17, passed by the Gujarat State Legislative Assembly, dated the 30th of September 2008.

It is the only university across the world, dedicated to Forensic & Investigative Science. The University started functioning from July 2009 onwards and in May 2011, received recognition by the 'University Grants Commission'; as a State University, under Section 22 of the UGC Act 1956. It is located at Gandhinagar - the capital city of the State of Gujarat, which is a vibrant; industrious; safe and business friendly State of India. The University is segregated into three academic departments, namely: Institute of Forensic Science, Institute of Behavioural Science and Institute of Research & Development. It currently offers only postgraduate level academic programs.

The University runs in parallel association with the Directorate of Forensic Science (DFS) - Gujarat State, to provide hands-on training. DFS - Gujarat State is a state-of-the-art; NABL accredited; ISO-IEC 17025:2005 certified laboratory, maintaining international standards in terms of infrastructure and facilities for Forensic Analysis.

The GFSU's Ultramodern Campus construction is already underway; near the DFS premises, on a government allocated land of 50,000 Square Meters. The foundation of the University's campus was laid by the Hon'ble CM of Gujarat State, on the 10th of October 2011.

The University is headed by the Director General; followed by the Registrar and a Director; as Head of each of the Institutes.

The highest body of the University is the Board of Governors; having the Director General of the University, as its Chairman.
