About College:

Established by the Government of Gujarat, under the flagship of Home Department - Government of Gujarat. The Gujarat Forensic Sciences University is a highly specialized higher education institution that came into existence through an Act: No. 17, passed by the Gujarat State Legislative Assembly, dated the 30th of September 2008. It is the only university across the world, dedicated to Forensic & Investigative Science. The University started functioning from July 2009 onwards and in May 2011, received recognition by the 'University Grants Commission'; as a State University, under Section 22 of the UGC Act 1956. It is located at Gandhinagar - the capital city of the State of Gujarat, which is a vibrant; industrious; safe and business friendly State of India. The University is segregated into three academic departments, namely: Institute of Forensic Science, Institute of Behavioural Science and Institute of Research & Development. It currently offers only postgraduate level academic programs.

Course Name:

M.Sc. Forensic Odontology [Approved by Dept. of Health and family welfare, Govt. of Gujarat and State Dental Council]

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility:

The candidate should be holding a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) with minimum 55% for general category OR 50% of marks in case of SC/ST candidates from any institution recognized by the Dental Council of India.

Admission Procedure: Admissions will be completely based on the merit obtained in the Entrance Test conducted by the Gujarat Forensic Sciences University.

Application Procedure:

Candidate needs to apply online by the website. The application fee of Rs.1200/- (nonrefundable) need to be paid online. The candidate needs to send the online transaction receipt along with the printed copy of final application. The following documents (self-attested) should be attached with the printed application form:

1.    Graduation mark sheets (for entire course)

2.    State dental council registration certificate OR provisional degree certificate (Candidate will have to produce DCI registration certificate at the time of final admission)

3.    Proof of age (School leaving OR Birth certificate)

4.    Caste certificate (For SEBC/OBC/SC/ST category)

5.    In case of SEBC/OBC category, certificate for non-inclusion in Creamy Layer of current year

Submission of Application Form: The final printed application summary (generated at the end of online application) along with the Online Payment Receipt is to be sent by last date specified in a sealed envelope marked as “M.Sc. Forensic Odontology Admission-2019” on the left hand side top corner of the envelope can be submitted either in person or by registered post or by courier on the following address. The application received after the due date will not be considered for admission.
